Life in High School Chpt.1

This story is about a male high school student names Garrus(Gar-rus) who is just starting to get confused about his sexuality.
The day started off like any other day for Garrus, he got up out of bed, took his shower, looked himself over in the bathroom mirror. Garrus was a 6' anthro dragon with deep navy blue scales, medium like muscle build, and ice blue eyes. While standing there he noticed that he was getting more muscle tone which was good for him, now maybe the jocks at school won't pick on him.
Once he was done looking at himself he dressed himself in a pair of tan khaki pants, and a black t-shirt that said "Keep staring I might do a trick". Once he was dressed he looked at the clock in his bedroom and saw he was going to be late if he didn't hurry. So he ran down stairs grabbed his back pack off the back of the kitchen chair and began to head for the door when his mother stopped him.
"Garrus what is the rush?" His mother asked in a concerned voice, while putting her hands on her hips.
Garrus then replied quickly "I took to long in the bathroom and I am going to be late for the first day of high school." Yes...it was the first day of high school for Garrus and he was excited and yet nervous at the same time. Is life long friend had moved away and he was going through this journey alone.
"Well Garrus here is some money for lunch." Garrus's mother handed him a five dollar bill and a pop tart. "Have a wonderful day".
Garrus took the items and rushed out the door like the house was on fire and began running to school. Yeah he ran to the school he was only six blocks away so he had no need to take the bus except for in the winter when it was cold, luckily it was still summer for a week yet.
It had only taken Garrus ten minutes to get to the school and he had eight minutes yet to find his locker and go over his schedule. Once inside he found his locker and looked over his schedule and memorized it.
For the next couple of weeks he went through the same routine as he did the first day. Soon enough the first semester had ended and the second was here just like that. Now the season had changed to fall and it was getting colder out so less activity was going on outside.
It was the first week of the second semester and Garrus was headed to gym class. Once there he had put his belongings into his locker room locker and changed into his gym clothes. While doing so Garrus found himself looking at the other males in the locker room with him, which was odd for him. He didn't have any trouble getting a girlfriend his first semester, he actually had girls hitting on him for a while, and he didn't have any trouble with the jock's either they didn't even bother him not once. So why this change all of a sudden he thought to himself.
After a few seconds he shook off the thoughts and left the locker room to sit on the bleachers in the gym. Once everyone was there the teacher took roll and then explained what they were doing this semester. Garrus's teacher was a lion named Leo, he was built very masculine, with Pecs and a six pack of abs, he wore a white shirt that showed his upper body and a pair of shorts which were just a little to short.
After roll call the teacher began to explain the exercise. "Class today we are going to start martial arts. The principal feels that today's world is getting to aggressive so he wants the students to be able to defend themselves".
The class began to mutter and talk. They were excited to actually do something like this.
"Now class I am going to pair you up in partners for this activity." The teacher wont through the list and came to Garrus's name "Garrus you will be paired up with Shepherd."
Instantly Shepherd stood up and objected. "Whoa teach...you can't be serious. I mean come on. Garrus is just so pathetic...look at him...he is nothing compared to me."
Garrus just sat there idly as Shepherd the jock ran his mouth. Then the teacher raised a hand to him and silenced him.
"Listen to me Shepherd you will pair up with whoever I put you with or you will be kicked off the football team this semester." The teacher said with a snarl.
Garrus smiled and spoke up. "What's the matter Shepherd you afraid you might get your butt kicked by a loser like me"?
Shepherd got angry and then agreed with the teacher. "Fine I will do it, just so I can teach that pathetic being there a lesson on who is superior." Shepherd said with an irritated voice.
"All right students, go with your partners and be ready for the lesson to begin." The teacher set down his roll call sheet. "Ok stand behind me and do as I do."
The teacher began to do some motions and the students followed right behind him and did the same. For the next couple of days of gym were getting to know the basics of martial arts of self defense and counter attacking against an opponent. Once those lessons were over it was to the sparring sessions.
"Now class...this is the time where I put you up against you partner and you spar by using the techniques you have learned the past couple of days. Each group will be graded on there performance. I will call on each group one at a time for there grade." One by one each group was called and then it came to Garrus and Shepherd.
"Garrus and Shepherd it is your turn." The teacher pulled out a pen and grade sheet. "Stand in the center and bow to each other."
Garrus and Shepherd did as they were told. "Now you may begin boys and keep this clean"
Shepherd was the first to taunt Garrus. "Well the time has come for your lesson Garrus...are you ready to get your butt kicked."
Garrus just sighed and readied himself for an attack. Shepherd then attacked, with Garrus moving and defending himself in return. Five minutes went by and Garrus could tell that Shepherd was getting irritated by all the moving Garrus was doing.
"Stop moving you loser, and fight back". Garrus ignored what he said and continued his defense waiting for the perfect time to counter.
Two more minutes went by and Shepherd lunged at Garrus. Garrus swiftly side stepped and took this occasion to counter attack. Garrus ran up behind shepherd and jumped on his shoulders, then throwing himself forward and flipping the both of them with Shepherd on the bottom.
"You were so cocky when we started this and now look at you. You got so frustrated that you left yourself wide open for a counter attack, this session of ours is over...you loose."
The teacher then stepped in and ended the spar. "Very good boys you have learned well. I give you both an A. Now everyone hit the showers."
Garrus got up and headed for the locker rooms. Soon after Shepherd followed as well. Once int he locker room Garrus sat down took a deep breath and then exhaled. While he took a rest the other students were praising him at how well he handled Shepherd. Shepherd then entered the locker room and gave Garrus an angry glare.
