Touch (Me/Ieesha)
The first time Ieesha was touched.
I remember the first time Ieesha wanted me to touch her; and how I'd nearly screwed everything up.
Needless to say - no matter how incredibly gentle she might have been - when a dragoness the size of an A380 Airbus practically fawns over you, near outright begging to be held, touched, stroked -- anything! -- _one can be quite intimidated! At first, I backed off - wondering what she wanted of me, what was going on - but that was the last thing I ought to have done. Raw _hurt/sadness/pain welled up though our newly formed bond as Ieesha, realizing what she had done and feeling my fear, keened soft and low; then she sniffled, shied away.
A moment later, midnight-blue eyes misting with tears that soon spilled down her face, my beloved dragoness sobbed then started tap-tap-tapping with a claw on the ground as she looked at me through blurred vision. The code was dreadfully familiar. Three short taps followed by three long taps, and then three short taps again. S.O.S. My heart aching, horror and sadness welling within me, I stepped forward towards her as she started to speak the letters as best she could, despite her mouth not being shaped to do so. "Eeeeezzzzz... Oooooooo... ** Eeeeezzzzz. *Eeeeezzzzz... Oooooooo... * Eeeeezzzzz. *Eeeeezzzzz... Oooooooo... * Eeeeezzzzz."**
It was reminiscent of the final scene from the anti-war film "Johnny Got His Gun", and that awful pain in her soft low baritone was what did it; I moved to gather her head into my arms, and she burst into tears, curling around me so gently, pawing, fawning over me as I peppered her muzzle with kisses and we both apologized to each other over and over and over... Happiness!/Love!/Love/Happiness roared _ through our bond as, wordlessly, Ieesha practically _begged me to explore her whole body with my hands; her head, neck, chest, barrel, flanks, legs, wings, paws, tail; though I stopped when it came to her intimate places. Her eyes widened, then she nodded solemnly when she gained insight as to why via our bond; but still, I felt mild disappointment _from her, which left me both flummoxed and awed; she would have let me _do that? _Even though we'd just _met?!
TRUST!/LOVE!/ADORATION!/TRUST! was her wordless response. Much, much later, my beloved dragoness was in tears again as - having somehow coaxed me out of my clothes - she lay on her back with me atop her, nude. With my chest pressed against hers and arms either side of her, I held her barrel gently as she snuffled, sobbed, and folded her forepaws and wings over me, utterly wrapping me up in a version of a full-body embrace. Her relief/happiness/love filled my thoughts as I rested my head on her chest, pink skin against supple golden hide; I could feel her mighty heart beating and Ieesha wept silently again as she realized that she could feel mine. "Laas wah laas!" _she uttered gently in her native language. _"Laas wah laas, ahst laat, dii mun! Dii fahdon! Dii David...!" ***
Later, curled about me such that she could always reach some part of me, could always touch me, she pressed her forehead to mine, eyes closed, her love roaring within our bond. In the future, Ieesha would declare that that simple human code - S.O.S - would be something all Kirathian Dragons should know; and so, it was. Yes, the dragons sort of coopted it, but to a physically hurt or distressed dragon S.O.S was a blessing, a way to call or get a human to help you at nearly any time. Of course, when Ieesha later learned what the code was actually used for - strict emergency use, or for times of great danger - chagrined, she gave the updated knowledge to all Omari Kirata -- but not before quite a few police, ambulances, firemen, and military forces were deployed to parks or forest clearings due to lonely dragons wanting human friends and companions of their own.
*** The Omari Kirata appropriated Skyrim Dovahzul as their formal spoken language, as their native language - an utterly alien birdlike cheeping/chirruping - is unpronounceable by humans. This phrase, which Ieesha permitted me to translate, is: "Life to life! Life to life at last, my human! My friend! My David...!" ***
