Birthday Surprise - Renamon TF
Posted a bit late (was posted back in March on Patreon), but the monthly Patreon voted story was for a Renamon TF, and as it tied in with my bro :firingwallicon:'s birthday, why not mash them together? :P

“Well, that’s another birthday in the books!” Jordan thought as he sat on his sofa, scrolling through messages on his phone, mainly birthday wishes from several of his online friends and wellwishers. The day had been largely uneventful outside of bumping into a few of the people he knew from social meetups, but aside from that, things had been pretty chill - he wasn’t expecting too much more from his birthdays as he got older, but it was still nice to see some people make a fuss over him on his special day.
“I wonder if I still have time to go out for a meal?” He questioned aloud - he didn’t really feel like cooking anything this evening, and there were bound to be a few places that still had reservations, even if he ended up going to a fast food place. “Suppose I can always check to see what places aren’t too busy right now!” He went to get his phone from his pocket when he heard a loud knock at his door. “Who’s that now?” He stopped, looking towards the front door. He wasn’t expecting anyone at this hour, and the post had been earlier in the day, so unless it was something being sent via courier, he was stumped as to what it could be.
“Hold on, I’m coming!” He walked to the door as he heard another knock, unlocking it as he went to greet whoever was on his doorstep. “Can I help… you?” He stared in confusion at the figure who was standing before him.
“I don’t know, it’s more likely that I might be able to help you more than anything else!” A tall, humanoid raven stood before him, smiling cutely. “A friend of mine told me that it’s your birthday today, am I right?”
“Errr… yeah?” He tilted his head, not quite sure what to make of this.
“Perfect, so I’ve got the right address!” She chirped, stepping into his house. “He knew where you lived from having your address for the yearly Christmas card, so all I had to do was track you down!”
“Wait, who sent you?” Jordan asked.
“Peter did, I hope that was ok!”
“Peter…” He paused for a moment - he knew that his friend used a character that looked remarkably like her. “Your name wouldn’t happen to be Shade, would it?”
“That’s right, how did you know?”
“Peter’s showed me art of you… I didn’t think you were actually real, though!”
“What can I say, this world’s full of surprises - he was equally stunned to find out for himself the first time our paths crossed!”
“I can bet, getting art of you whenever he could afford to do so, his jaw must have hit the floor when he saw you!”
“Oh it did, among other things~” She giggled. “However, that’s a story for another day. Today’s all about you!”
“Right, right. So you’ve come here to visit me for something birthday related?”
“Yup! Peter wanted to give you a gift, but he thought it’d be much more fun if I were to give you it in person. It also saves him a lot of money in postage as well, so there’s that to it!” Shade crowed, a wrapped present appearing in her taloned claws with a simple flick of her wrist. “We both hope it’s to your liking!”
“Thank you!” Jordan took the box from her hand, gleefully tearing into the wrapping paper as if it were a Christmas present. Under all the wrapping was a box containing a strange looking electronic device, the buttons and ring around the screen a dark blue, a deck of cards stacked next to it. “What’s this?”
“It’s a Digivice - technically a D-Ark, the model used in Digimon Tamers. Have you never seen that show?”
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen much Digimon related stuff growing up - I was always a Pokémon guy!” He carefully lifted it out of the box.
“I was into both, and so was your friend. He thought you might like something you could play around with as a gift!”
“You might have to show me how it works, there’s no instructions with it!”
“Trust me, trying to find one of these nowadays with an instruction manual is quite the expensive task. I figured it’d work out cheaper if I was to make my own unique version of it and pass it on to you!”
“Are these things really that expensive?” He asked.
“About £80 at the very least. He tried looking to see if he could find any with the instructions attached, and they wanted £45 for just the instructions on their own, to which we both said ‘screw that’!” She huffed.
“Oof, yeah, that’s a bit excessive for a bit of paper…” He picked up the cards in his other hand. “So you’ll show me how to use it?”
“I can do that right now~” She grinned, taking the D-Ark from his hand. “I even prepared a special card to use as well…” Her grin grew wider as she produced a trading card from thin air, twirling it in her claws. “All we have to do is scan this through the reader like so, and…!” She swiped it through the card reader slot on the side of the device, the screen flashing a multitude of colours as she held it outwards towards Jordan.
Jordan shielded his eyes, nearly blinded by the brightness of it all, not noticing the strange energy swirling around him. “Ooow, my eyes! Is it supposed to do that?”
“It is when it comes to transforming someone!” She answered, seeing white fur beginning to sprout across his hands, the fingers growing broader as the middle digits merged, four fingers becoming three. The palms of his hands gained soft black pads, sharp claws sprouting from his fingertips.
“Transforming someone? Wait, you’re transforming me?” He watched the white fur move up to just past his wrists, golden fur spreading across the rest of his arms and along his torso. The muscles in his arms toned up, his biceps growing a little wider whilst retaining a lithe look to them, three large tufts of fur growing from his shoulders.
“Well yeah! Peter says you like transformations just as much as he does, even if you’ve got differing tastes, but he knew this was something you’d appreciate!” Shade continued watching on, his body growing steadily taller due in part to his stretching spine. His shirt felt tighter against his torso, his muscles swelling, abs and biceps being reworked by whatever Shade was doing to him, white fur covering his front. He felt stronger, yet at the same time, his muscles weren’t overly large, as if trying to keep somewhat accurate to whatever it was she was turning him into.
“Is this something I should have maybe removed my clothes for?” He noticed how ill-fitting his shirt looked now, his midriff exposed. A bump was forming at the base of his spine, soon bursting through the seat of his pants, a long, brush-like tail growing forth, largely covered in golden fur barring a tuft of white around the tip.
“Maybe, though really I’m only making you a bit taller than a standard human, which is typical Renamon size. Not really getting naughty on this one, so really the clothes coming off are only if you find them uncomfortable… though with that in mind, it might help to remove your trousers for the next part!” She advised him.
“Er, ok…” He blushed, removing his trousers. He was surprised to see that his modesty was being neatly preserved underneath the fur, his tail now swinging about unhindered. His legs grew considerably broader, especially around the thigh area, golden fur sweeping over them, a pair of purple yin-yang-esque markings appearing along the front. He ran his hands along his legs, finding they were solid muscle.
“Yeah, that digimon is known for having some large thighs and hips. Considering you’re staying male for this, I’m keeping them largely standard, otherwise they probably would have had a bit of extra padding!” Shade laughed, his feet stretching as white fur covered them, his feet growing longer, all pressure shifting to his tiptoes. His toes merged and shrank, five digits becoming three as they sat at the front of his new paws, claws tapping against the ground whilst the soles of his feet gained soft black pads.
“Man, this feels awkward…” Jordan stumbled about on his new feet, trying to keep his balance. A floofy mane of white fur spread across his chest and around his neck, the gold fur reaching his head as the changes neared their end. His ears twitched, elongating to white-tipped points as they moved to sit atop his head.
“Your body will adapt to it quicker than you think, Jordan.” Shade assured him, helping him to keep his balance. His jaws pushed forwards, his head reshaping into a semi-triangular configuration, nose darkening as it sank into his upper jaw. Tufts of fur sprouted along his cheeks, zig-zag markings appearing under his eyes as they parted to the sides of his head. He felt his teeth grow long and sharp within his new muzzle, additional fangs sprouting within whilst his eyes were the last thing to change, the sclera turning an inky black, the irises filling with icy blue.
“And with that, you’re done! Well, there’s technically one more thing to add~” She snapped her talons, a pair of purple gloves adorned with a ying-yang symbol materialising around his arms and hands.
“Heh, this doesn’t look too bad!” Jordan smiled, taking a look over himself. His tail swung about as he moved, knocking a few items off of the table in the process. “OK, I didn’t mean to do that!” He said, looking embarrassed.
“Yeah, that tail of yours is something else you’ll adapt to fairly quickly, though if you need me to take a few tail-proofing precautions around here, I’d be happy to help you out with them!”
“I may need to take you up on that offer!” He nodded, Shade stepping forward as she returned the D-Ark and cards to his hands.
“You’ll probably wanna keep hold of these as well. The cards will give you some stat boosts among other things, so feel free to check them out in your spare time!”
“I will do, thank you!” He smiled, looking at the raven. “So what now?”
“No clue - did you fancy going out for some food? I know a few places that do some great meals around this area!”
“Funnily enough, I was thinking about going out for dinner before you came knocking at my door, so I’d be more than happy to go out with you!”
“Brilliant!” Shade crowed happily. “And who knows, maybe once we get back from dinner, we’ll put you through some very specific testing~” She winked.
“Eheh…” Jordan blushed, rubbing the back of his neck. “I’m sure I’ll be down for some of that once we’ve eaten~” He smiled sweetly.
“Perfect, I’ll lead the way!” She walked with him towards the front door. “I think I know just the place for a birthday special as well!”
“By all means, lead the way!” The Renamon grinned, following alongside her as they left his house.
