Sunny opened her eyes, and looked up at Starflight, he was reading from a scroll as she was wrapped around him.

“Hey.” She yawned. “How long have you been up?”

“Few hours.” Starflight replied.

“You could have gotten up.” She told him

Starflight looked down at her forearms wrapped around his chest, his back legs as well, and even her tail was twined with his.

“Would have brought you with me.” He replied.

“Then you could have woken me up.”

Starflight raised his eyebrows. “And stop seeing your beautiful face when you’re sleeping.”

Sunny blushed, and licked his cheek. “Your sweet.”

Starflight set the scroll down and smiled. “So, you want to get something to eat?”

“Sure, and let’s see if we can find Moon and Qible today.”

“Yeah, other than them finding us.” Starflight chuckled.

Sunny untangled herself from Starflight, and got up. She then stretched, and walked out of the room. They walked into the feeding hall and settled down around a table with Kinkajou and Tamarin.

“Hi Sunny.” Kinkajou greeted her. “Are you excited to check out the old palace?”

“Sure.” Sunny nodded. “Though we know someone who was there, and is a literal library of ancient knowledge.”

“Who?”

“It’s Michael, the immortal guardian? Remember him?”

“Oh” Kinkajou laughed. “Him, right.”

Starflight grabbed some crab, and set it down on the table. Tamarin looked over at the meat and her eyes went wide.

“I still can’t believe you guys eat that raw.” She told them.

“This is actually really tasty.” Starflight replied.

Tamarin looked confused. “I think it’s all really weird.”

Sunny grabbed some of the white meat and ate it. Starflight looked across the hall and noticed that there was a bunch of guards walking into the room.

“Is the queen returning?” He asked.

Tamarin nodded. “I heard a few guards talking about it.”

They finished their food, and made their way to the main entrance. The academy students were lounging around, today was the last lesson day for them, they would get an extra day to themselves, before they all head back to the academy. Michael walked out of a building and dove straight into the water. Everybody followed, and soon everybody was out under the cloudless blue sky. A dark green seawing led them to a larger island that was filled with ruins. Turtle was waiting for them, and waved when they arrived. Kinkajou landed and immediately hugged him.

“Hey.” Turtle greeted his rainwing girlfriend. “Miss me?”

The happy rainwing nodded.

“How did you find this place?” The green seawing instructor asked.

“I sorta already knew where this was.” He replied.

“How?”

“This was where Anemone and I fought.” Turtle replied.

He motioned over to a crater nearby, and Michael chuckled.

“Surprised you didn’t flatten the whole place.”

The instructor’s jaw dropped, and he looked over at Michael.

“What?”

“And you chose not to mention that he is a descendant of Fathom?”

“All the royals are, how is that news?”

The instructor shook his head, then started to lead the students through the ruins. Sunny held back with Starflight, and watched the students as they looked around the wreckage.

“Hard to believe Albatross did all this.”

“He didn’t blow the place up; he only killed a bunch of people. This was disuse and time, not magic.” Michael replied.

Sunny nodded. “It looks like it looked really nice in it’s prime.”

“Yeah, it was made by real crafters, instead of magic.”

He looked over, and stared off behind them for a while. Sunny turned and noticed a large storm building on the horizon.

“Looks like rain.” She spoke.

“That’s a titan.” Michael replied casually.

Starflight jumped and turned towards the storm.

“That’s the first sign of a titan?”

“Yep, and that’s one of the ones that I couldn’t find the location to.”

Sunny turned back to the students. “Should we get them back to the palace?”

“They’re fine for the rest of the lesson, but they shouldn’t stick around.”

“No way I’m missing this fight, I heard titan battles are legendary.” Starflight replied.

Sunny gave him a surprised look, and Trice landed beside them.

“Is that…”

“An ocean elemental, yes.” Michael replied

“Ugh, I’m going to smell like fish for a week.” Trice sighed.

A few other dragons had noticed the storm, and were whispering and pointing at it. It took a few hours for the lesson to finish, and most of the students couldn’t wait to return to the palace. It only took ten minutes for the island to be cleared of all but four dragons. It started to rain, and Starflight covered Sunny with his wing. Just as it started to pour, a dark shape started to rise out of the ocean on the horizon. Michael and Trice took off, flying fast towards the rising titan. After a few minutes, they reached the titan, and Sunny watched a bright blue flash pulse on the horizon, then a pink one, and another blue one. There was an earth-shattering rumble, it almost sounded like a roar, and a massive wave crashed against the beach. Sunny gasped, and Starflight held her close as a beam of light sliced through the titan, and it fell back with a crash. A few minutes later, Michael and Trice returned with the titan’s core, and landed back on the island.

“That didn’t take too long.” Trice spoke. “But this storms all built up, and it will take all night to blow over.”

Michael snapped, and the core vanished. “Did you two enjoy the show?”

Sunny blinked. “So, there are thirteen of those left?”

“Yeah, but I can find nine of them.” Michael replied. “But what seemed odd to me, was that they were summoned.”

Trice froze, and looked over at him. “And you didn’t care to mention this earlier?”

“They were supposed to rise about thirty thousand years ago, and wipe out all the humans to make way for the dragon species, but they didn’t. I noticed something off about the first one, but it might have been a fluke because magic is nuts, but when I noticed the same problem in the second one, I knew. Someone wants to wipe out all of dragonkind, in all five continents.”

“Five?” Sunny asked.

“Let’s not go into that right now, we have other stuff to worry about.” Michael replied.

He spread his wings, and took off back to the palace, Sunny and Starflight exchanged glances, before following him. They dove into the water, and swam back into the palace. They emerged from the entrance tunnel to notice water pouring through the hole in the ceiling.

“Don’t worry, I added a drainage system this time.” Michael told them, and walked away.

Sunny looked over at Starflight. “Well, that was weird.”

“Yeah, that epic battle was too far away, and it was just Michael toasting the titan in a few seconds flat.”

“Not sure why you wanted to see that so badly.”

“I read a bunch of stuff about it, and really wanted to see it in person.”

Sunny chuckled. “The walking library wants to be an adventurer.”

“Oh, I see how it is.” Starflight scoffed and looked away.

“Oh, don’t be like that, I kinda like the brave Starflight.”

He turned back, smirking, but said nothing. Sunny looked over and noticed Moon and Qibli standing on the other side of the cave. She smiled and walked up to them.

“Hey, what are you guys up to?” She asked.

“We just got back in time before the rain.” Moon told them

Sunny nodded. “Apparently, that storm was caused by a titan.”

Qibli looked over at them. “Wait, what?”

“Yeah, we watched Michael kill it.” Starflight told them.

“Wow, didn’t know they caused storms like that.” Qibli replied, looking up at the storm outside.

“Me neither, but I guess the sea ones do.” Sunny replied.

“So, how do you like it here?” Starflight asked.

“It’s pretty cool, not at all how you said it was.” Qibli answered.

“Well, it did get destroyed.” Sunny told them.

“Right, and I guess that being trapped in one room the whole time makes the place less special.” Qibli replied.

Starflight chuckled. “Yeah.”

“So, we were wondering if you guys wanted to check out one of the seawing villages tomorrow, Sundew recommended a really good restaurant.” Sunny told them.

Moon smiled. “That would be nice.”

“Maybe Blue and Cricket would like to come.” Sunny added, looking around.

Moon snorted “Good luck getting her out of here, she hates getting wet.”

“Where have they been this whole time?”

“The library.” Qibli smirked.

“Then let’s go corner them.” Starflight smirked.

They chuckled, and made their way to the library. Sure enough, the hivewing and silkwing had their noses buried in scrolls while cuddled in a corner. The librarian, an elderly blue seawing, looked up at the new arrivals, then looked back down to her work. The four dragons walked up to their Pantalan friends, and greeted them.

“Hey.” Moon spoke first.

Cricket jumped, and looked up from her book. “Oh, hi.”

“It’s been two days.” Qibli groaned. “You should get up and do something, with us, tomorrow.”

“Two days?” Cricket turned to Blue. “Wow, I guess the queen’s stories are that good.”

“What would we be doing tomorrow?” Blue asked.

“You’ll find out, tomorrow.” Moon replied.

“Oh good.” The librarian smirked. “These two have been in here all day since they arrived, I thought they had some sort of mental disorder.”

Starflight walked over and started talking to her about library stuff. Sunny smiled to herself when they started talking about scroll care.

“You like Queen Coral’s work?” She asked, turning back to the others.

“It’s great, and it teaches so much about your courting habits, and all the societal stuff.” Cricket replied.

Sunny laughed. “Just to let you know, she only really knows a limited amount of information about other tribes, so take that stuff with a grain of sand.”

Blue nudged her. “I told you.”

“That doesn’t make it any less good.” Sunny added. “I do like her work, but it’s a bit… like a fantasy.”

“Didn’t she write one based on a story that would then come true?” Blue asked.

“The lost princess tale, yeah, but none of the detailed parts actually happened. There was no feast, nor a party, and all her friends were trapped in a room with little food.” Sunny replied.

Starflight flinched slightly, and Sunny noticed this in the corner of her eye.

“Then, she put us in her prison, which wasn’t part of that scroll at all.” Sunny added. “But forget about that, just focus on the scrolls.”

Both the Pantalans blinked in surprise.

“Oh, right.” Blue chuckled. “Sometimes we forget that you two are dragonets of destiny, and that all those legends are about you.”

Sunny blushed a bit. “Legends?”

“That’s what they’re calling you now; legends.” Moon replied. “It’s a bit strange, because that’s what they’re starting to call us now as well.”

“Who?”

Almost everybody these days. The Dragonets of Destiny, and the Original Jade Winglet, are legends and now being taught to dragonets all over the continent.

Sunny had no idea what to say. “I… uh.”

“Yeah, it’s a lot to take in.” Qibli spoke. “Even Thorn was talking about how I was famous in the sand kingdom. Me! Like… Famous, wow.”

Moon tapped him with her wing. “Don’t get such a big head.”

Sunny smirked. “You should see Starflight these days, you would never guess what we found out about his dad.”

They all looked over at her.

“He’s the son of Queen Battlewinner.”

There were some gasps, but it looked like Moon already knew this.

“So many royals.” Cricket replied. “All in one place, I’m sure the hivewing and silkwing councils would like to meet you.”

“We don’t represent our tribes.” Sunny replied. “We grew up away from them, without their traditions and history.”

“I told them that, but they still want to meet you.” Cricket replied.

Sunny rolled her eyes. “We might stop by on our honeymoon, but I doubt it.”

Moon yawned, and Qibli looked over at her.

“Tired?”

“A little, we flew back here pretty fast.” Moon replied.

“Why? What happened?” Blue asked.

“There was a storm, and apparently it had a titan in it.” Moon told him. “But Michael took care of it, we flew back fast to avoid the rain.”

“Oh, glad we didn’t leave then.” Cricket chuckled.

Qibli nudged Moon with his wing. “Alright, let’s go to bed before I have to carry you.”

Moon smirked, and they walked out of the library. Sunny walked over to Starflight and smiled at the other librarian.

“What are you guys talking about?” She asked.

“Michael’s going to start importing books here from his main academy.” Starflight told them

“Aren’t we supposed to be going there at some point?” Sunny asked.

“Michael said we would a few days after our wedding.” Sunny replied. “The library there is the biggest dossier of our planet and species in existence.”

“I see why you guys are so excited.” The librarian replied.

“Yeah, Michael said that there were over sixty thousand dragonets at the Alpha academy.” Sunny replied.

The librarian blinked. “That must be a big city then.”

“It is, the Alpha academy is supposed to be for the best, but the total population of our species in that city totaled at over four hundred million.” Sunny replied enthusiastically.

“How is that even…” The librarian shook her head. “I don’t even want to know.”

Cricket and Blue walked past them out of the library, and Sunny yawned. They said their goodbyes to the librarian, and walked back to their room.

“Ugh, the day went by so fast.” She spoke.

“Yeah, I noticed that too.”

“It went from boring to interesting, then back to boring.” Sunny added.

Starflight chuckled. “I heard that this field trip was a success, so we will be going to Pantala in a few months.”

“Nice, I can’t wait to see all the sights, I wonder what the foods like there.”

“They have a ton of sweets, and all sorts of other stuff.”

Sunny fell into the bed with a sigh, Starflight smiled and settled in beside her.

“Our marriage is in a week.” He told her.

“Yeah.” Sunny beamed. “I’m excited.”

“Me too.”

“Night Star.”

“Night Sun.”
