Tsunami and Trice watched as Turtle soothed Kinkajou, she was crying, and her tears were falling down her cheeks. Trice sighed, and they started to walk in the direction that Auklet and Cliff had went.

“There is a lot of mental problems here.”

“What?”

“The Dragonets of Destiny and the Original Jade Winglet have all suffered trauma at a young age, which will impact their lives as they get older.”

“Have they impacted us?”

Trice laughed. “What? You? Glory nearly died of her anxiety and stress, and still doesn’t like physical contact. Sunny lost most of her joy for a long period of time, grew cold for a moment. Starflight, oh Starflight, has anxiety, had, or still has suicidal depression, he’s insecure, and probably paranoid. You, have anger issues, are definetly paranoid, and definetly have PTSD. Clay, is a burning building of stuff.”

“Clay? Really?”

“Let’s see, anxiety? Check, paranoia? Check, stress induced eating? For sure, what else? Oh, right, drastic emotional blindness.”

“Wow.”

“You see it as normal because everybody has it. Sunny had the worst case of emotional blindness, and had no idea what was going on with her mind, and it hurt Starflight, now she’s mad at herself about that.”

“Oh, and the others?”

“Moon is afraid that if she uses her powers, something bad is going to happen. She feels like she doesn’t deserve happiness because of what happened with Darkstalker. Qibli was abused by her mother and siblings, then abandoned. Then Thorn, oof, I like her, but this was the wrong thing to do, she brought him into the life as a soldier at a young age. Qibli did things he will never tell Moon, and I won’t say, while he was younger than you were when you killed your father.”

“Tsunami winced.”

“Turtle was forgotten by his parents, and fell into a depression that was unnecessary, he gave Anemone her powers, then grew paranoid about hiding his. His fight with Anemone changed him, and he doesn’t like the change. Kinkajou… Well, you know mostly everything there. She would probably gone insane if she was a normal rainwing, but she forces herself to stay upbeat. Winter, he was emotionally abused by his parents, and the only dragons he cares about are Icicle, Hailstorm, and Lynx. His problems reach deep, and aren’t healthy. What is it with prophecies and abused young dragons in this dimension?”

“What about Peril? Fatespeaker? Any of the others?”

“Peril, right, has attachment issues over Clay, and wants to kill everybody else. Fatespeaker, was betrayed as the people she grew up with tried to kill her. She fell in love with somebody who’s heart belonged to somebody else, and is soon to fall into a deep depression. Who else? Oh, Riptide, who is still shunned because of his father, is hopelessly in love with you and will do anything for you, no matter what it is, bad or good. He will kill himself if you told him too.”

“I… What?”

“I think that’s about it; I have to go annoy the queens with ML policies and boring stuff. Cliff and Auklet are down the hall to the right.”

“Thanks, for that.” Tsunami replied.

“You’re welcome, make sure to tell Sunny and Peril, because their partners need help more than the rest, and maybe get Fatespeaker a boyfriend.”

Trice walked into the meeting room, and Tsunami turned to find the young dragonets.

Starflight woke and looked over at Sunny, he had slept through most of yesterday, and all through the night, and now he felt bad since he had wasted a whole day of their honeymoon. He nuzzled her awake, and they kissed for a while. They eventually broke apart and looked at each other.

“Any plans for the day?” He asked.

“Nope, none. Luna knows better now.”

Starflight smiled, and licked her nose, making her giggle.

“We should find a restaurant later, were leaving in three days, we should enjoy what Blue and Luna can show us.” He told her.

“That sounds nice.” Sunny sighed.

“You okay?” Starflight asked.

“Fine, just thinking.”

“About.”

“You know Tsunami offered me the headmaster position, right?”

“Yeah.”

“We should decide if I should take it.”

“Why not? I thought you wanted to be the headmaster.”

“I want that, but do you?”

“I want what you want.”

“I’m serious, I want to know the truth from you.”

“That is the truth.”

“Beyond that, what do YOU want, be selfish, tell me what you want. Not what you want for me.”

“Sunny, what I want isn’t important.”

“How can you say that?” Sunny looked startled. “It is.”

“You are much more important, to me, then me….”

“Starflight stop.” Sunny cut him off. “You are very important, so impossibly important.”

Starflight sighed. “It’s nice that you think so, but I know the truth.”

“It is, and I will prove it.”

“You know that I don’t care as long as your beside me.”

“So, I should accept?”

“Yes, if that’s what you want.”

Sunny sighed. “I know that some part of you still wants to go off and be alone, but I don’t think we could even if we tried.”

Starflight sighed. “I know, that’s why I’ve satisfied myself just being with you, and starting a family with you.”

Sunny blushed. “Alright, let’s go check on the others.”

They got up and walked over to the living room, where Qibli was laying across a couch, trying to prevent his tail from moving.

“How is it?” Sunny asked.

“Much worse.” Qibli groaned.

“Maybe I should send for Winter, so you can have some distractions.”

Qibli winced. “Winter and I aren’t talking right now.”

“Why not?”

“Before we left for Pantala, he said some things, I know he didn’t mean them, but they still hurt.” Qibli sighed. “He pretty much made me choose between him or the love of my life.” He looked over at Moon. “I chose love.”

Moon smiled weakly.

“He was at your wedding.”

“Of course he was, we promised each other we would be there. Before we both found out we fell in love with the same dragon.”

“Well, maybe you can use this time to forgive him.” Sunny replied. “He lives right next to you.”

Qibli nodded. “Maybe.”

“We leave the day after tomorrow.” Starflight told them. “So I was wondering if you’re up to a trip to a restaurant?”

“Yes.” Moon cut in. “He needs to keep moving, and not be a lazy bones for the rest of our trip.”

Qibli rolled his eyes, and Moon sat down next to him. She pulled his head near hers, then hissed when his tail reflexively curved.

“How did you break it anyway?” Starflight asked.

“I caught Moon from landing too hard and it got smashed on a rock.” Qibli replied.

Moon blushed. “I told you that was unnecessary.”

“But it was.” Qibli smiled.

“Alright, alright. Enough with the sap!” Luna groaned.

Sunny blinked. “Are you alright?”

“We went out last night.” Luna replied. “So, I’m going to take a nap.”

“I believe I offered you a tour.” Blue told them. “If you want, we can go now?”

“Sure.” Sunny replied.

Tsunami watched as Michael tapped his claws on the table. He looked bored, but his eyes flashed occasionally, symbolling that he was doing something with his powers. Auklet was asleep curled up next to her stomach, and Tsunami kept smiling at the feeling of a dragonet laying against her. Riptide was asleep beside her, the Jade Mountain students had kept him busy all day. Coral occasionally glanced back and smirked at her, probably thinking about her being queen.

“We will NOT allow such actions to take place on my kingdom. Any forces of any dragons on or over my kingdom will be attacked.” Snowfall shouted.

“Do that, and you’ll be met with an unstoppable force that will crush your kingdom.” Glory replied. “I’ve seen what only a few of his soldiers can do, imagine thousands.”

Tsunami was confused, the only time she had seen his soldiers was at the attack on the seawing village.

“They are here for our defense, let them do their jobs.” Thorn added.

Snowfall snorted, but sat back.

“Alright, this is the final day for our meetings, is there anything else anybody wanted to discuss?” Coral called out.

“I have something.” Ruby called out. “There have been some problems with Sanctuary and Possibility since Winter and Riptide left. I would like to send out word for some people from each tribe to move in, because the towns are running low on population.”

Riptide jerked up. “What?”

“Well send supplies and maybe see if anybody wants to move.” Thorn replied.

“Same.” Moorhen nodded.

“Alright then.” Michael jerked up. “Let’s wrap this up.”

The queens each got up, and walked out of the room. Coral walked over and retrieved Auklet, and Tsunami walked over to talk with Ruby.

“Hey, how is everything?” She asked the skywing.

“Good, just trying to figure out how Scarlet was able to keep her throne. This job is hard.”

“I heard you found Cliff’s father.”

“I was just as surprised when I found him still alive, he was sent to guard some random outpost on the border.”

“I wanted to discuss if you were considering sending Cliff to the JMA.”

“I thought so, miss headmaster soon-to-be queen.”

“I think he would like it, and it would give him a greater understanding of the other tribes.”

Ruby nodded. “He wants to go too. I was considering sending him next year.”

Tsunami smiled. “I’m glad to hear that.”

“There’s a lot of royals at that academy.” Thorn walked up to them. “Sunny, Starflight, Turtle, Anemone, You, Winter, and now Cliff?”

“Likely Auklet too.” Coral added, smirking. “I may have changed my mind.”

“I’m going to go check on him, and get him ready for the trip home.” Ruby nodded to them. “Goodbye.”

Tsunami watched her go, before Thorn turned to her.

“Where is Sunny?”

“On honeymoon, Cicada hive I think.” Tsunami replied.

“I have some news.” Thorn smiled. “I’m pregnant.”

Coral gasped. “Congratulations.”

“Thank you, make sure not to tell Sunny, I want to surprise her when she gets back.”

“They’ll be in the Jewel hive in a few days, if you want to wait for her.” Tsunami told her

“I might do that then.” Thorn replied. “I do need a break.”

The sandwing bid the seawings farewell, and walked over to Smolder. Tsunami smiled over at her mother.

“New heirs for the sand kingdom, wonder how she feels about the academy.”

“What about you?” Coral replied. “Are you going to be making some heirs?”

Tsunami blushed furiously. “Mom! I told you not to bring that up.”

“That’s not going to happen, and when you become queen, it’s going to get much worse.”

Tsunami rolled her eyes, they walked over to their rooms, and Coral hugged her daughter.

“I’ll see you later sweetie, but I will likely have left before you and the others.”

“Alright, tell Auklet I said goodbye. I need to go hunt down Anemone and Turtle.”

Coral smirked, then started to walk away.

“Oh, yeah. Anemone wants you to stop pushing her and Pike together, said something about accepting THE deal.”

Coral blushed, then nodded, and walked away hurriedly. Tsunami sighed, wondering what her mother was up too, and went up to see if two rainwings and their seawing partners were having their sun time. She eventually found them near a river, sunbathing on a soft, sandy bank.

“Hey, you guys need to get ready to go, were leaving for Jewel hive tomorrow.”

Anemone jumped. “Tamarin! You said we have time!”

“We do, what do you have to pack?” Tamarin replied

“All the stuff I bought.” Anemone jumped and took flight. Tamarin rolled her eyes and followed her.

Turtle and Kinkajou got up, stretched, and smiled at Tsunami.

“How was the last meeting?” Turtle asked

“Boring, other than Snowfall throwing insults at Michael, and not wanting his forces anywhere near her kingdom.” Tsunami answered.

Kinkajou rolled her eyes. “She’s a lot like Winter.”

“Icewings.” Tsunami chuckled.

They flew back to the hive, and when they landed, Kinkajou was full of questions.

“What’s Jewel hive like?”

“I don’t know, you should have asked Blue.” Tsunami replied.

“I heard it’s super pretty.” Kinkajou replied.

“We’ll be there tomorrow, so you’ll find out then.” Turtle told her.

“Oooh, I can’t wait to check out the bazaar.” Kinkajou smiled.

Hard to think that that personality holds pain, she’s really good at covering it. Tsunami thought. She shook her head, and turned to find the rest of her students. They were in the square, talking and playing, Tsunami cleared her throat to get their attention.

“Attention everybody, we will be leaving tomorrow for Jewel hive, be here fully packed at eight o’clock sharp, or you will get left behind and Michael will take you to the Dragontail Peninsula, where you will not only miss out on going to Jewel hive, but also be forced to wait for us before you can do anything. Then, to top it off, I will make you write an essay on being on time when we get back.”

Many eyes widened in fear, and Tsunami smirked, knowing that she got the message across. She turned and saw Riptide, who was smiling proudly at her. He walked up to her and chuckled.

“You need to teach that to Sunny.” He told her.

“No need, you should see her sometimes. She’s a no-nonsense adorable creature.” Tsunami laughed.

“I got you something.” Riptide smiled. “Follow me.”

He took flight, and she followed him. He looked happy as he led her to their room, and closed the door behind them. He walked over to a chest and moved it, under the chest there was a bracelet. Riptide carefully picked it up and handed it to Tsunami, who stared at it, stunned. It was covered in elaborate designs, and Tsunami recognized them as both her luminescent scale designs and his. Tsunami looked up at Riptide, who’s eyes were wide in wait for her reaction.

“It’s beautiful.” She whispered.

Riptide smiled. “I just wanted to let you know how much you mean to me.”

Tsunami’s heart dropped. I haven’t been spending as much time with him lately. Oh, now this makes me feel bad; does he think I’m doing that on purpose? Does he think it’s his fault? How do I fix this?

Riptide noticed tears starting to form in her eyes. “Tsunami, what’s wrong, did I get you the wrong thing? I got you the wrong thing, I’m so sorry.

What have I been doing? I’m hurting the one I love. Tsunami lowered her head.

Just be kind to him, he’s patient.

Riptide was about to take the bracelet back, but Tsunami closed her talons over it.

“Riptide, I love you, you know that right?”

“Of course.” Riptide looked into her eyes.

“I know we haven’t done much lately, and I know that I’m not good at returning affection.”

“Tsunami… Your perfect just the way you are.”

Tsunami froze, then rushed over to him and nuzzled him as heavily as she could.

“I’m so, so sorry, for everything.” She told him.

They stayed like this for a while, before Riptide laid down on the bed and opened his wings. Tsunami sighed and laid against him. She buried her face in her neck, and held him close.

“I take you way too much for granted.” Tsunami mumbled. “I don’t know what I would do if I had to rule the seawing kingdom without you.”

Riptide curled his tail around hers, and sighed.

“I appreciate you; I need you to know that. I need you.”

“I know, and I’ll never leave you, no matter what.”
