Monster Farm Rancher: Drunken Fun After The Tournament

In the world of Monster Rancher, Genki found himself taking part in another tournament. His friends; Holly, Mochi, Golem, Hare, and Suezo, were sitting amongst the crowd in the stands, as they cheered him on. The young boy, with the help of Tiger of the Wind - a blue furred wolf with horns on his head - was able to make it to the final battle of the tournament. To the surprise of the two, their last opponent was none other than Mina, with Gray Wolf - Tiger’s brother - helping her. And sitting within the stands from behind her was her other monster, Hopper, cheering her on.

“Mina; long time no see”, Genki said as he waved a hand.

“I know right; it’s been awhile”, Mina replied back.

While the two ranchers were sharing greetings, their horned wolf monsters each took a step forward. Tiger and Gray Wolf smirked, as they both glanced at one another. “It’s been awhile, Gray Wolf”, Tiger spoke. “Have you gotten stronger since our last battle?”

“Heh! You bet, Tiger”, Gray Wolf replied. “I was hoping for us to battle again, just so you could bear witness to my newfound strength.”

The two wolves bared their fangs, as they continued to smirk at each other. They were both snickering, as their ranchers that stood behind them sported sweat drops atop their heads. With the referee standing in between the four - narrowing his eyes from side to side - he eventually gave the go ahead for the ranchers and monsters to battle. Just as soon as the battle started, Tiger and Gray Wolf didn’t waste a second to immediately launch at each other.

About an hour later…

Upon the two performing what seemed to be a devastating attack at one another, both Tiger and Gray Wolf landed on their paws. The brothers’ legs were trembling, as they both struggled to stand on their paws. Within seconds the two wolves collapsed within the ring; shocking not only Genki and Mina, but also everyone sitting in the stands.

“Oh no”, Holly said in concern. “Poor Genki and Tiger.”

Holly wasn’t the only one concerned with the results, as Genki’s other monsters that sat beside Holly also watched in worry. The audience that sat in the stands were not only worried, but were waiting in anticipation to see who would come out on top. The whole arena was filled with the chatter of the audience, as they continued to watch in wait for a turnaround.

“Tiger; what are you doing”, Genki said. “Get up, hurry.”

“Oh no, Gray Wolf; are you ok”, Mina said. “You have to get up.”

From then on, Genki and Mina were cheering on their monsters to stand back up on their paws. Not long after the two ranchers were doing that, so too were the crowd of watchers. The arena was now filled with the cheers of people calling out to Tiger and Gray Wolf to get back up. The wolf brothers’ ears twitched, as they heard the audience calling out to them. Motivated, the two began to slowly stand back up onto their paws; trembling, as they both struggled to stand. The two were grunting, as they managed to stand back, but only just for a few seconds. It was all in vain for the brothers, as they both immediately collapsed back down within the ring.

“IT’S A DRAW”, the referee shouted.

Both Genki and Mina were speechless, as well as the crowd. However, that didn’t stop the audience from roaring out in a loud cheer. Despite coming out in a draw, the two ranchers shared a handshake. Seeing their good sportsmanship, the crowd of watchers were clapping their hands; even Holly and Genki’s other monsters were clapping their hands. Except for Suezo; he didn’t have any hands - or feet for that matter - so all he could really do was continually jump, while cheering very loudly. And despite the two coming out in a draw, both Genki and Mina were winners, as they were both given prize money; split between them.

“HOORAY; YAY”, Hopper cheered. “WAY TO GO, MINA!”

With the tournament over and the sun setting, Genki’s group were walking their way to the town hotel. And joining them was Mina and her two monsters. Along the way, they were chatting amongst themselves; excited to be reunited again.

“I have to say, Tiger; I’m honestly quite disappointed with how you performed in that final match”, Hare said. The blue furred wolf turned his attention over to the hare; clearly not amused. “Usually you’re the strongest amongst us in the group, and yet you still lost. Maybe you aren’t the strongest, as you think you are.”

A low growl could easily be heard coming out through Tiger’s fangs. This was the start of another of the monsters’ usual arguments; usually started by Hare. Just staring up at that lagomorph’s cheeky smirk, really infuriated the horned lupine.

“Oh really; how about I show you just how strong I am”, Tiger responded. “I could beat you easily, right here.”

“OH YEAH”, Hare shouted back. He brought his face up close to the wolf’s, until their noses were touching. “WELL BRING IT ON THEN! I CAN TAKE YA!”

“I’D LIKE TO SEE YA TRY WITHOUT YOU USING ANY OF YOUR CHEAP TRICKS, LIKE FAR…”

“Now, now, you two”, Holly interrupted the two. “This isn’t the time or place for you both to be fighting.”

“No fighting”, Golem said. “Be nice.”

Genki and Mina didn’t have anything to say; they just chuckled lightly, as sweat drops appeared atop their heads. As for the other monsters in the group; Mochi and Suezo just shook their heads in disappointment at the two, while Hopper and Gray Wolf also sported sweat drops. Soon enough, the group continued with their walking back to a hotel, while Tiger and Hare also continued to argue; mostly because the lagomorph didn’t want to stop berating the lupine.

“HARE!”

A voice suddenly called out; making the group stop in their tracks, and turn their attention in the direction of the voice. Out of everyone in the group, it was Hare who let out a gasp. “WILD HARE”, he shouted back.

“Hey, I thought I recognized ya”, Wild Hare said with a smirk. The darker hare casually walked himself over to the group; specifically over to his fellow hare. “So; what are you and your friends doing?”

Everyone in the group was happy to be reunited with Wild Hare again. Everyone except for Mina and her monsters, who didn’t know who Wild Hare was. Wanting to know a little bit about the other different Hare, Mina tapped her finger on Genki’s shoulder; getting his attention.

“Hey, Genki; who is that?”

“Oh, that’s Wild Hare”, Genki answered. “He’s one of Hare’s best friends.”

“We just got back from a tournament, and were on our way over to the town hotel”, Hare answered. “And what are you doing out here?”

“Oh, you know; just doing actual honest work, and helping Fairy Hare to provide for the orphans”, Wild Hare said in a cool manner. “It was quite the coincidence seeing you out here.”

“Ahaha”, Hare chuckled nervously, as he rubbed the back of his head. “It’s good to know that you’re still helping Fairy Hare at the orphanage.”

In truth, while Hare was being completely honest, he was now feeling embarrassed that he wasn’t helping out at the orphanage. Luckily for him, a sudden idea came to the lagomorph. After all, both Genki and Mina did each have prize money that was split between them, and Hare figured they could use that to get food and celebrate back at the orphanage.

“Hey, I know”, Hare started. “Genki, Mina; since you both are already sharing the prize money, how about we get some food and drinks here, and bring them back to the orphanage? We can even make it be a party; both for the orphans and you two for how well you both did. What do you say?”

Very briefly, the group sported a look that made it seem like they didn’t approve of Hare’s sudden idea. But seeing as his idea involved helping the orphans, the group saw it as a good idea, as they all sported warm smiles. With their eyes closed, everyone in the group gave a quick nod of their heads.

“That’s actually a good idea, Hare”, Holly said. “Both Fairy Hare and those kids will be so happy.”

“Yeah; we can even buy some toys for them too”, Genki said excitedly. “Let’s give everybody at the orphanage the best party ever.”

“And I don’t mind at all helping out to make others happy”, Mina said. “I’ll even donate some of my prize money. No, a lot of it.”

“Hmph; I guess once in a blue moon, even you can come up with good ideas sometimes, Hare”, Tiger snarked.

At first, it appeared that Hare was agreeing with the wolf’s words, as he continued to smile. But that wasn’t the case, as his expression immediately changed into that of frown, as he looked at Tiger. There was a large, red vein present atop his head even.

“I always come up with good ideas”, Hare pouted.

Hours later…

Out in a far off field, there was a lone house, and within that house was the monster who was in charge of it, Fairy Hare. But she wasn’t alone, as the home was also filled with very young children; consisting of both humans and monsters. Those children were all orphans and Fairy Hare made it her duty to look after, and take care of them. Those children loved Fairy Hare, and in turn she loved them all back, as if they were her kids. Today was just a peaceful day for them all, until…

Knock! Knock! Knock!

“Yes”, Fairy Hare responded to the knocking, as she opened the house door. “Who is it?”

The lagomorph monster gasped lightly, as she saw who the visitors were. Standing before her were Hare, Wild Hare, and all of Hare’s friends; all of whom were holding bags filled with food, drinks, and toys. All of them sported large, warm smiles upon their faces, while Fairy Hare had a hand covering her mouth, as she was speechless.

“Hey, Fairy Hare; we’re back”, Hare said.

“And we all brought back food and toys for the kids”, Wild Hare said in a suave tone.

“Hare. Wild Hare. Everyone,” Small tears had appeared from Fairy Hare’s eyes. It was clear that she was very appreciative of everyone’s kindness. “Thank you all so much.”

“ALRIGHT, LET’S GET THIS PARTY STARTED”, Genki shouted.

And thus, a party had indeed started; a fairly small and average one. Aside from Fairy Hare, all of the children were happy; each of them sporting a smile on their faces. And considering all of the different foods, juices, and toys; their happy smiles were justified.

And while the orphan children were eating, drinking, and playing, so were the others, as they conversed. Fairy Hare was having some girl talk with Holly and Mina. Genki and Mochi were playing alongside the orphans. Suezo, Golem, and Hopper were happily enjoying their meals, with Golem in particular happily eating rock burgers. That left Tiger, Hare, Wild Hare, and Gray Wolf to eat together; having some guy talk, while they also drank.

Although, compared to the drinks the kids were ingesting, the horned wolves and the hares were drinking alcoholic beverages. Now that wasn’t a problem for them to ingest, but the actual problem was them just having them around; easily accessible for the kids to accidentally get. In fact, that almost happened, but Fairy Hare was quick to prevent something terrible from happening.

“HARE, WILD HARE; HOW ARE IRRESPONSIBLE COULD YOU TWO BE”, Fairy Hare shouted at the other hares. By extension, she was also shouting at Tiger and Gray Wolf too. “Don’t just leave your alcohol lying around for the kids to easily get to. If you four must drink, then take it outside.”

The four were speechless, as they looked drunk before Fairy Hare’s eyes. In just about a minute, the four guys found themselves kicked out of the house by Fairy Hare; along with their alcoholic beverages. With nothing else really for them to do, the wolves and the hares moved themselves further away down the field; away from the house. From there, the four continued with their drinking.

“AAAHHH”, Tiger moaned out in delight. “Man, nothing beats some good alcohol.”

“You said it, brother”, Gray Wolf responded. Just like his brother, the gray wolf was clearly drunk; evident by the blush across his maw. “I thought I would hate it, but I really like it.”

“AHAHAHA”, Hare laughed loudly. “Oh man, you two are so wasted.” The brown lagomorph took another swig of his own drink, before he continued his laughing. Along with that, he was also hiccupping. “Oh, I’m drunk too. AHAHAHA!”

“You three clearly can’t handle your alcohol level”, Wild Hare said.

Despite the darker hare acting cool, he was actually drunk himself. As he took sips from his wine glass, he was also hiccupping; just like Hare. The drunken blush across his face had enlarged, as he now felt embarrassed.

While Wild Hare attempted to ignore his own hiccups, the others were lost in their own little worlds. Hare was still laughing like some crazed maniac, and the wolf brothers were repeatedly praising each other; talking about how much they appreciated one another as brothers. But despite all of that, the four really did appear to be enjoying themselves.

“Now this…hic...is a real party”, Hare slurred. “A guys night…hic...party with…hic…alcohol.”

“You said…hic…Hare”, Tiger said. The blue furred wolf then brought himself over to the lagomorph. “I haven’t really said this, but I’ve always thought it. You’re a good friend, Hare.”

Then out of nowhere, Tiger gave Hare a kiss in the way that any canine would, by licking across the hare’s face. The action of the blue lupine caught the attention of Gray Wolf and Wild Hare, who both watched to see what else would transpire. Tiger’s other immediate action was to pull the lagomorph closer to him with his left arm; nuzzling his face against his. This wasn't the first time the lupine acted so friendly to the hare, as he’s gotten closer with him when they first met; also while drunk.

“Aww, Tiger”, Hare said. The brown lagomorph grasped Tiger’s face and stared starry eyed into the wolf’s eyes. “I consider you…hic…a good friend, too.”

And just like Tiger, Hare gave the wolf a kiss. However, unlike the kiss he’d received a minute ago, the hare locked his mouth with Tiger’s; the two sharing a kiss. Both Gray Wolf and Wild Hare gasped in shock, as they continued to watch the two. With their eyes closed, things started to get spicy between Tiger and Hare, as their shared kiss became a french kiss. At that point, the other wolf and the other hare were flabbergasted. Wild Hare had a brow raised, while his right eye was enlarged, and Gray Wolf’s face was slowly becoming red, as he watched his brother making out with Hare. And things certainly were becoming spicy between Tiger and Hare, as their members were extending out from their sheathes. The bodies of Gray Wolf and Wild Hare reacted the same way, as the two couldn’t stop themselves from watching the makeout session. At least, not until the frenching between the two ended.
