Welcome Distraction
So… I managed to gather enough motivation to write again. Life kept getting in the way. But I've been getting the itch to write for a while now. So I did this as an exercise. I used the character I'm playing in my current D&D campaign. This takes place about 3/4 years before the campaign started.
Disclaimers;
There are some descriptions of blood and gore in the opening sequence. But nothing more afterward. All characters within this smut are all adults. And written by an amateur of (hopefully) serviceable quality.
Welcomed Distraction
By Nelly Reuben (RandomCanis)
The blade fell from her numb arms, her knees following along. And choking on ash-filled lungs, her eyes stung greatly with blood and tears. Muffled by the insistent ringing of her thunderous heart, everything felt so distant.
After so long…
The knight ripped her helm off, gasping and coughing, It was such an effort to just look around. The cavern shuddered before her. The ruins were reduced to rubble, and she almost felt sorry for desecrating them. But the smoking mound brought a smile.
She finally did it—a great roar howled, echoing as the dragon broke free.
The knight covered her head, flinching as the debris pelted her. Her throat dried as the wounded creature staggered forth. His hateful gaze was trained on hers. A smile so sickly sweet, it promised a long, painful death. She could only stare, growing pale as it got closer.
But no, she growled, reaching for her blade. For her love’s parting gift.
The dragon was limping, missing an eye, with a crown of stumps instead of proud horns. And without a wing, he was grounded.
But most of all, he was Bleeding.
With her fire reignited and grasping the now-too-heavy blade, the knight staggered forward.
One burdened step at a time with matching snarls. The dragon inhaled greedily, his chest beginning to glow. And drawing power from the meager, ribbons of sunlight. The blade gave her strength.
They charged, the knight with her blade poised, but the dragon had already reared back. Smoke bellowing from his jowls as he ignited his foul breath—
“Boo!” Maybe not his brightest moment. The red heeler yelped, falling to his knees with a twisted arm, the awkward bend burning hotly. “Wait, wait!” He yelled, his ears sagging as lightning sparked from the other male. The arctic fox went still, his lips shaking with a snarl before he let go with a long sigh.
“Why would you— Don’t do that, Paige. I could’ve hurt you!” the brown fox growled, hovering over the cattle dog while helping him up. Paige chuckled weakly, letting the vulpine fuss over him before pulling away gently. Taking in the taller male’s clothes, a simple tunic, and a pair of breeches. The cattle dog bit back a smirk, the tunic was inside out. After shaking the pins and needles away, he glanced around, spotting a smirking inky blob in the corner. He gave it a pout and it stuck a tongue out. “Nice of you to inform me, Daydreams.” the fox huffed, picking up the thrown book, and rolled his eyes at the snickering creature.
“Is that how you greet people now, Del?” Paige quipped, adjusting his vest, his smile faded when all he received was a grunt. And once Delilah returned to his seat, the cattle dog decided to glance around more. With his ears flickering to the turning pages, Paige wandered over to the kitchen. Finding an empty mug and a half-finished plate at the table. Damn, he mumbled while putting them away. When Daydreams hopped onto the table, he gave its chin a scratch, accepting a washcloth as it began to meld into the floor. The cattle dog shivered, feeling some pressure around the den before his fur settled along with the charged air.
“I’ll leave him in your care.” said a whisper. And Paige answered with a nod, washing his hands before he rejoined his friend. The fox’s robe and bag lay forgotten near his seat. A glance showed how engrossed the fox was. Folding the robe didn’t take long, the same with the sash, though he made sure to put the bag away somewhere safer.
“So,” Paige started, continuing when an ear flicked to him. “I heard you had to look into a disturbance?” The cattle dog winced at the hissing sneer, “Was it as bad as they say?” He heard of the merchant’s wife’s meltdown. Noticing how the fox tensed up, he placed his paws on Delilah’s shoulders. The curve at his lips and the angle of his ears spoke well enough.
“My ears are still ringing!” The vulpine added dryly with a roll of his neck.
“Aww, poor foxy.” Testing with a nudge, Paige wagged when Delilah made room, slipping in to rest against the fox. Hints of spice, old parchment, and a mixture of ink greeted him. While a whiff of pungence ghosted near his friend’s maw, the strong wash of jasmine and something woodsy overpowered it. And all of it was so very Delilah as the cattle dog kissed near his snaggletooth.
No luck aside from a hum, but the fox did lean back against him. So he turned his gaze to the book, only a few pages left from the looks of it, eyeing the bookmark in it. It looked familiar, he thought while mouthing the words, fiddling with the tunic’s laces before the book was closed. He made to protest, only to pause when he saw the cover.
“Reading ahead, I see?”
“Just wanted to pass the time,” Delilah replied, opening to where the bookmark lay. He began to read aloud, leaning more on Paige. The cattle dog hummed, nuzzling another kiss to the fox’s underbite, which was sharper than the usual fox’s. He kept playing with the laces, hiding a smile as his paw trailed lower. The stutters he got only encouraged him further. His innocent smile met the vulpine’s gaze while sliding his paw under the tunic.
“Really?” The fox asked, putting the book away, as heat mingled into his voice and scent. “I thought you wanted to read,” the low growling hiss, the want gathering in those emerald pools, and the claws digging into his waist. The cattle dog shuddered with warmth stirring around his sheath.
“Just a little bit,” Paige answered, fussing up the fur on the fox’s waist. A gentle rub to the scutes there brought forth a shiver. While a lick to the neck coaxed a deeper rumble from Delilah. So hot, Paige thought. Moving his head to let the fox nose his neck, his eyes fluttered as that barbed tongue kissed him there, purring at the rosewater aftertaste. So very hot.
“I’m sorry,” Delilah whispered, caressing Paige’s right shoulder.
“You’re fine,” the cattle dog’s vest came loose, “I asked for it.” And with that, their lips met. Tilting his head to deepen the touch, Paige huffed softly at the questing barbs. A shiver danced across his spine, both from the claws along his waist and from those sharper fangs nibbling at his lips.
Paige slid down, leaving kisses and a wave of licks on those soft scutes. Shuddering softly, the fox’s pants came undone, and a moan left his lips. Delilah felt a hand stroking his left leg, tracing the scales on it from his knee to his talons. The cattle dog squirmed under that wanting gaze as he nosed that cleft. Drinking in the heady musk, he teased a lick across those vulpine folds, going for more at the taste. A delving swirl of his tongue met something round and firm, and the warmth pooling at his core grew even hotter.
The dragonborn bucked, sighing as his cleft gave way, and biting his lips when a lick greeted his cock. Paige repeated it, taking great care to lavish every growing inch. And once that length had fully emerged, tapered at the tip and flaring to the base. The cattle dog wrapped his mouth around the manhood, swirling his tongue eagerly, he didn’t have to lips to purse around it. Paige shifted happily, every sweet noise from the fox made his tightening pants uncomfortable.
The nudge to his ear made Paige stop, moving away from that shaft, he let himself be pulled into another kiss. His twitching excitement leaked when the fox fished it out. “Bed,” Paige whimpered, needy for the hungry fox. Arching his back to press against that vulpine hardness, he licked Delilah’s ear. “Pease?”
Paige yipped, the fox hefting him away, earning himself a few ear nips. The down mattress hugged him afterward, being pushed deeper into it as the fox got onto him. Just that haze of strong; vulpine musk, coupled with his closeness, made the cattle dog’s heart fluttered. His paws clutched at the male, too occupied to notice his pants falling away.
“Hi,” purred Delilah.
“Hi, hotness.” whimpered Paige, smiling dreamily as that barbed tongue caressed the fine fur in his ear. Exposing his neck with a giggle for those sharp fangs to caress. So hot. The growl coaxed his cock to bob, sticking to his fur wetly. So very hot.
“Your turn,” the fox smirked. Paige throbbed when those delightful barbs lathered his cock, quivering and unable to squirm with the strong paws on his hips. The hot breaths at his length felt too good, “So adorable.” His whimpers turned to moans, stuttering as warmth enveloped his shaft. Glancing down, he bit his lips, needy; emerald eyes stared back. He could only mewl as his defenses crumbled under the fox.
“C-Close, so close!” Paige sputtered, pawing at the fox’s withdrawing muzzle, whining when he was denied his release. He gave up after a playful bite, begging the fox with the biggest puppy eyes. But no such luck as Delilah only chuckled, coming up to silence him with a kiss. The cattle dog was promptly flipped onto his front. Paige jolted as eager paws grasped his rear, shivering when needy pants brushed against his pucker. He clutched the pillow with a moan, hiking his tail as that tongue mapped out his rim. And again, and again, until he was just near the edge. The tongue slipped inside.
Paige clenched tightly, pushing back into that drooling muzzle. And before he could beg for more, that long; slender muscle brushed against that Spot. Stars clouded his mind, a stuttering mewl echoed in the room, and the trembling cattle dog painted the mattress with a good spurt of pre-cum. He didn't recall when the fox pulled away, only coming back to having his ears kissed so lovingly. And with that foxy manhood against his rear, his needful whimpers earned a hump. The outline of that hot knot was already filling out. Fuck, he wanted—No. Needed it.
Delilah chuckled with a string of kisses to his nape. Hearing a drawer from his right, Paige took a peek, spotting a ghostly paw ruffling through the contents.
“Lazy bastard,” the cattle dog teased with a butt wiggle.
“You want me to go raw?” the fox whispered, hot and growly.
“Sounds great,” Paige drawled, his eyes growing wide at the closing drawer, his tail thumped against the vulpine.
“Raw, it is!” The cattle dog yipped happily, immobilized by a bitten scruff, and pushing back into those grasping paws. The tapered tip against his entrance sent shocks of anticipation, shuddering as the vulpine teased him more. He buried a moan into the pillow, claws digging through the fabric. Delilah slid in, panting in bliss as he hugged Paige closer.
Drooling into the pillow, Paige took all of that passion, rocking back when he could, the canine made sure to serenade the fox with mosning gasps, panting whispers, and mewling sighs. His breath hitched as he was pushed closer to the edge once more. The fox’s attention was too hot to withstand.
“D-Delilah,” Paige stuttered, moaning deeply when the fox slowed. His tail twitched weakly at the nuzzles. And when the fox hummed a whisper, the cattle dog met his eyes. “I wanna see you.” He was placed on his back, tugging the vulpine closer eagerly, the pair flinched when their fangs clacked. “Ow, sorry!”
Delilah chuckled, slipping in a kiss, and into him again. Paige huffed, weakly hugging the vulpine closer with his legs. The scutes brushed against his fur, the sharp fangs leaving hickeys on his neck, and the rolling bucks of those hips. Paige groaned as he stroked himself, squeezing his knot, he was so close.
“P-Paige,” the fox panted, drooling so much into his neck with a trembling growl. And that did it. A sputtering gasp later, the cattle dog was spilling on himself. Gush after gush of warm seed splattered on his fur, muffling his howl with the fox’s shoulder. Delilah chased after him, every knock from that knot left him breathless. And with a shrill; growling hiss, the fox’s knot slipped into his depths. Blossoming to its fullest, every clench filled Paige with a boiling warmth.
Not a drop wasted, the cattle dog had to blink the stars away. He was on his side now, pressed against the vulpine. All sticky and wet with the proof of their dance. He moaned into a kiss, snuggling closer to the purring fox. “That was great,” he mumbled dreamily. A wash of magic made him giggle, every drop of his spent cleaned from his fur. “Lazy,” he teased once more.
“You want to get up?” Delilah asked, shuddering when the cattle dog tested their tie. Yep, stuck well for a while. And that was perfect.
“No,” Paige hummed, weakly squirming under the barrage of ear kisses.
“Thanks, love.” The vulpine whispered, “I needed that.” A gentle snore answered him. Glancing down, the fox stifled his mirth. Tuckered him out, Delilah purred, rubbing the cattle dog’s back.
A nudge came to his mind, and he nuzzled back, sighing in relief when nothing worrisome came near his den. He thanked Daydreams with his smile fading, his thoughts lingering away through a window. With a quiet snort, he reigned it in, hugging Paige protectively. he let himself join the cattle dog with a weary sigh.
Relishing the warmth of his den as the shadows grew larger in the warm Neverwinter’s night.
