“I want a cookie!” Bwian shouted as his voice echoed. He stomped his food and the whole ground shook because he was the size of a skyscraper.

“How about a megazord cookie?!” The Black Power Fur Ranger remarked as they looked up at the monster from the ground.

“We need The Lightning Zords!” The Power Fur Rangers cried out. Lightning began to form over the secret base of The Power Fur Rangers. The bolts struck the remains of their old zords where the broken parts had been configured to look like rusting statues.

The lightning had charged the broken remains and instantly transformed them into the Lightning Zords as they shone and gleamed as the lightning charged them. The Power Fur Rangers jumped aboard them.

The Lightning Zords surrounded Bwian as it suddenly took a deep breath and released a toxic gas cloud at them. The Yellow Kangaroo Lightning Zord was struck with an explosion of sparks landing everywhere.

“Phew, even in here it smells bad.” The Yellow Power Fur Ranger remarked as she used her gloved paw to fan herself and try to circulate some fresh air.

“Just remember we gotta keep this fight going as long as possible.” The Black Power Fur Ranger said.

“LIKE We’ll do our best.” The Pink Power Fur Ranger replied. Bwian broke off part of a building and threw it at The Pink Sparrow Lightning Zord. The Lightning Zord erupted in a dazzling display of sparks from the impact and crashed into another building nearby.

The Blue Power Fur Ranger looked around and saw a large spider web covering the entrance to what looked like a bottomless pit. He saw a large shape wrapped in a cocoon with tiny spiders crawling all over it. His visor showed him tiny bits of green energy being drained from it by the spiders.

“Found you,” The Blue Power Fur Ranger said and he walked towards the cocoon to see if he could pull free The Green Power Fur Ranger. Suddenly, the Winged Ape appeared and blocked his path.

“Intruder Alert!” The Winged Ape said as he withdrew his sword and held it out with the tip pointing at The Blue Power Fur Ranger

“Ut oh.” The Blue Power Fur Ranger said as he removed his Fur Staff to defend himself. The Winged Ape jumped up and began to fly in mid air. The darkness made him impossible to see even in his gold armor. He flew at The Blue Power Fur Ranger with the speed of a hummingbird, struck him with his sword, and then flew away as sparks exploded from the impact.

“Arrh,” The Blue Power Fur Ranger cried. “I can’t get close. I only have one chance at this, if it's gonna work.” He said as he edged closer towards the web. He began to listen carefully to the wing flaps of The Winged Ape. He needed to time it just right in order to use his Fur Staff to block the attack. After two attempts, he figured out the timing and he waited for the strike that he would use to his advantage.

Lion adjusted his tie as a couple of workers unloaded a truck. There were simple rats in overalls as they unloaded the boxes. Only Lion could see their true forms of The Kin and The Evil Emperor used a spell to change their appearance.

In one of the windows of the store, there was a television that was broadcasting the latest battle between a pig monster and The Power Fur Rangers. They had entered their new Lightning Zords but seemed to have been taking a beating by the monster.

“What are they up to?” He said to himself as he watched them. This monster was too weak and their new zords could easily crush it. They were trying to drag this out but why? He then noticed that The Blue Owl Lightning Zord and the Red Lion Lightning Zord seemed to be hanging back.

So those two were being remote controlled! Where was The Blue Power Fur Ranger? He must be on a mission and they were trying to keep the battle going to distract the Evil Army from interfering with him.

His focus turned back to the store keeper as he came out to address him. The Evil Emperor had been selling stuffed toys that looked like his alter ego Uncle Buck. The stuffies had been selling like hotcakes as everyone seemed to want them. Most species loved Uncle Buck because of the Public Relations campaign he had been working on.

Nobody, but The Power Fur Rangers, knew that Uncle Buck was actually The Evil Emperor in disguise otherwise they might not want the toys. Still they seemed to have gone viral and everyone wanted one. Some species spent large sums of money to buy one. All the stories in Gold City were selling out on a daily basis.

When Lion examined them they appeared to be normal stuffies and he could not detect any magic within them. Still it seemed odd at how popular they are.

“I’ve never seen a toy sell out this fast.” The Shopkeeper, a badger, remarked as Lion confirmed the last of today’s delivery had been unloaded. “We can’t keep them on the shelf. You are gonna deliver more here tomorrow, right?”

“I’m not sure, we have twenty deliveries tomorrow to other places tomorrow. It’s getting so bad that we have to hire more trucks to keep up with the demand.” Lion replied and as he attempted to get on the delivery truck to the next location the shopkeeper stopped him blocking his way.

“I can make it worth your while.” He whispered to Lion. Lion casually looked at his clipboard to see what he could do. He was not interested in the money and neither was his master, The Evil Emperor, but he knew how his master would react. He took out a pen and wrote in a twenty-first delivery for tomorrow.

“I’ll see what I can do.” Lion replied. It was going to be another long day. He glanced back at the television before climbing on the truck. Little did The Power Fur Rangers know that he had made a deal with The Evil Emperor. If The Power Fur Rangers could destroy the monster Bwian, then their supposed friends Slash and Ghoul would be returned back to the planet safe and sound. However if The Power Fur Rangers failed, then Slash and Ghoul would be lost forever. He hoped The Blue Power Fur Ranger would hurry up so they could destroy that monster.

“He’s tougher than he looks.” The Black Power Fur Ranger said as Bwian punched The Black Wolf Lightning Zord as it tried to jump at him.

“LIKE How much longer because we’re taking a beating and its not even tiring out” The Pink Power Fur Ranger remarked.

“We can’t wait any longer. Time to form The Lightning Megazord.” Zolton ordered then as he sent them the message telepathically.

“Let’s show this bug the power of lightning.” The Black Power Fur Ranger said. The Red Lion Lightning Zord jumped up high in the air and its legs and tail folded up inside the body while the head lowered to its chest area. This formed the body of the Lightning Megazord. The Pink Sparrow Lightning Zord had its head and legs fold up into its body while the wings were spread wide. The wings attached themselves to the back of The Red Lion Body. The Yellow Kangaroo Lightning Zord formed the legs and attached to The Red Lion Body while The Blue Owl Lightning Zord transformed into the arms and attached themselves to The Red Lion Body.

Finally, The Black Wolf Lightning Zord split in half and its halves transformed into twin Zabuza swords. They spun in circles and they rose above The Lightning Megazord and they landed into the hands of it. The Lightning Megazord landed with a muffled thud and took a step forward as Lightning that was generated from the transformation struck the ground in a brilliant flash of light.

“Cookies!” Bwian shouted at The Lightning Megazord.

“We need to weaken him a bit but don’t go full power. We don’t want this fight to end.” The Black Power Fur Ranger said. The Lightning Megazord flew up into the air with its wings spread and it lifted the twin Zabuza blades. Lightning struck the blades charging up The Lightning Megazord as the flows of energy were directed into the mouth of The Red Lion head on the chest.

“Lightning Supernova!” The Power Fur Rangers shouted together. The eyes of the Red Lion head began to glow a bright blue as the mouth opened. A ball of pure white light formed as red and yellow tiny bolts of lightning were discharged from it. The monster looked at it as the white orb was fired at it with incredible speed.

The orb struck and sparks flew everywhere as Bwian fell to the ground. It began to flail and stomp its feet like a child throwing a temper tantrum.

“Oh my paws, is this for real?” The Yellow Power Fur Ranger asked as they watched the monster in disbelief.

“Interesting.” The Evil Emperor remarked as he watched the battle from his throne. His wife sat next to him and watched, then rolled her eyes.

“Is that the best you could come up with? An overgrown toddler throwing a temper tantrum.” She remarked.

“That’s the point my dear, I combined the essences of The Power Fur Ranger’s friends with the monster. and we get such because their friends are foolish cubs. Now if we add an adult, like say my slave Lion to my next monster we'll have a monster that knows their tricks and that can wipe them out easily.”

“He’s a cub like they are. He’ll act no different than that pig thing.” The Evil Empress remarked. The Evil Emperor glared at her before continuing.

“This monster is too weak to be winning against them. They are up to something by trying to keep this battle going. I want all areas on high alert.” The Evil Emperor ordered. Two members of the Kin bowed and hurried out to carry out his orders.

“Master!” Gollip exclaimed as he reached out to hug the leg of the Evil Emperor. “The Winged Ape reports that The Blue Power Fur Ranger has found the location of The Green Power Fur Ranger and is trying to rescue him.” The red eyes of The Evil Emperor opened wide then he kicked Gollip off of him as he rose from his throne.

“So that’s it! Two can play that game, let’s raise the stakes a bit.” The Evil Emperor shouted. The Evil Empress rolled her eyes but remained silent.

Inside the delivery truck, an orb appeared in front of Lion and the image of The Evil Emperor could be seen on it. Much like the telepathic communication Zolton used with The Power Fur Rangers, only Lion could see this.

“Master.” Lion said as he bowed his head in respect.

“Slave! What is your location?”

“We have finished the last delivery and are on our way to the transport point to return to base.” Lion said.

“Change of plans. Go to Bwian’s location and allow him to capture you. We’ll see how your friends like this.” The Evil Emperor ordered and Lion bowed again.

Bwian listened to the orders The Evil Emperor gave him by speaking through another floating orb. The Power Fur Rangers watched in confusion as the monster stopped and appeared to be looking at something they could not see.

“What’s going on?” The Black Power Fur Ranger asked.

“I think he’s getting a telepathic message. Like the ones we get from Zolton.” The Yellow Power Fur Ranger replied.

“Ut oh, do you think they found out what The Blue Power Fur Ranger is up to?” The Black Power Fur Ranger asked.

“LIKE I hope not.” The Pink Power Fur Ranger said. Bwian suddenly turned and he bent down and reached out to pick up a white delivery van that was driving near him.

“The Power Fur Rangers,” Zolton called out to them telepathically. He could hear the sound of the alarm sounding behind him in their Secret Base. “Our sensors detected that Lion was in that delivery van the monster grabbed.” Zolton explained.

“LIKE they are trying to use Lion as a hostage against us!” The Pink Power Fur Ranger exclaimed.

“Not cool.” The Black Power Fur Ranger said.

“Now what?” The Yellow Power Fur Ranger asked.

The Blue Power Fur Ranger waited patiently for any sounds that the Winged Ape was approaching to attack. So far The Winged Ape had been holding his position and The Blue Power Fur Ranger was wondering if some other plan was in the works.

The corner of his eye caught movement and as he turned to look at it he saw he was suddenly surrounded by The Kin. Before they could grab him, He made a desperate attempt and threw his Fur Staff, as if it were a spear, at the cocoon. The edge immediately cut the cocoon open and The Green Power Fur Ranger crawled out of it obviously weakened.

“No!” The Winged Ape cried then flew at him trying to recapture him. Before he could The Green Power Fur Ranger used his legs to kick The Winged Ape away before he could touch him.

“Nice try, but no banana for you.” The Green Power Fur Ranger said as he struggled to stand up.

“Retreat.” The Winged Ape ordered as he and The Kin vanished into the darkness.

“Let’s get back to base.” The Blue Power Fur Ranger said as he grabbed The Green Power Fur Ranger and they were transported back to The Secret Base.

“The Power Fur Rangers. The Blue Power Fur Ranger has saved The Green Power Fur Ranger. We are assessing the damage done to his power levels but in the meantime you have full authority to destroy that monster.” Zolton ordered.

“Nice.” The Black Power Fur Ranger replied.

“Way to go!” The Yellow Power Fur Ranger Said. The Blue Power Fur Ranger was suddenly transported into The Lightning MegaZord cockpit.

“Miss me?”The Blue Power Fur Ranger asked.

“LIKE definitely.” The Pink Power Fur Ranger answered.

“What’s the situation?” The Blue Power Fur Ranger asked.

“Lion is trapped in that truck and if we attack he could get hurt or even die.” The Black Power Fur Ranger explained.

“I doubt it.” The Blue Power Fur Ranger remarked and the others turned to look at him. “Listen, The Evil Emperor wants Lion as his slave. He won’t risk losing his prize so this has to be a bluff. I give it a 99.8% probability that he pulls Lion out before he can be hurt.”

“LIKE that’s a hell of a gamble. Do we have any other choices?” The Pink Power Fur Ranger asked and the others shrugged.

“Trust me.” The Blue Power Fur Ranger said.

“You’re Finished!” The Black Power Fur Ranger shouted. The Lightning Megazord flew up into the air with its wings spread and it lifted the twin Zabuza blades. Lightning struck the blades charging up The Lightning Megazord as the flows of energy were directed into the mouth of The Red Lion head on the chest.

“Lightning Supernova!” The Power Fur Rangers shouted together. The eyes of the Red Lion head began to glow a bright blue as the mouth opened. A ball of pure white light formed as red and yellow tiny bolts of lightning were discharged from it. The monster looked at it as the white orb was fired at it with incredible speed. Lion was suddenly transported out of the Van and returned to The Evil Lair on the moon.

The orb struck and everything turned white as the monster crumbled into ashes as it broke apart. There was a huge explosion from the impact as the white light was blinding.A few moments later Slash and Ghoul materialized and were dropped a few feet above the ground in the park. They looked around confused at what happened to them.

“What happened?” Ghoul asked and he loudly burped.

“I dunno but boy am I in the mood for some cookies.” Slash said and Ghoul rose then pulled Slash up to help him stand.

“Cookies? Sounds pretty good.” Ghoul remarked.

“Let's go! Billy’s is nearby and I bet I can snag us some.” Slash said They both started running as fast as they could to Billy’s Juice Bar hoping they could get the cookies they seemed to be craving.

In the Secret Base of The Power Fur Rangers, the group returned and transformed back into their regular selves. Tom was sitting on the chair designed to recharge his powers and he appeared to be sulking.

“Is everything alright?” Zyler asked as he looked at Tom’s expression.

“No, no, no, no. A huge chunk of his power was drained by those spiders. If we are lucky he has enough energy for one or possibly two more battles then.” Klank explained.

“Then The Green Power Fur Ranger is no more.” Tom said.

“All that matters is that you’re safe. The rest we can worry about later.” Zyler said.

“We got Tom back so there’s a chance we can free Lion next.” Terri said.

“Not unless we can do it in the next battle or two.” Tom remarked sadly.

“Just for today I will not be angry.” Terri said as she bowed her head trying to center herself as she entered a meditative state. The others were used to seeing her do this when she was stressed out and they were all feeling the same.

“Just for today I will not worry. I will be grateful and work hard. I will be kind to all living things.” She concluded the meditation chant and the others stood silent as they nervously fidgeted.

“She’s right!” Zyler said finally. “Worrying will do no good in situations like this. All is not lost yet and we should be celebrating that we scored a major victory today. Sure Tom is weakened but the good news is that he’s alive.”

“LIKE he’s right. One small bump in the road doesn’t mean defeat. Lion needs us and that alone is real enough to not quit.” Lisa said.

“We never thought we’d ever see you again.” Brian said to Tom. “But we did. We found a way and there may be a way to get you back to full power again. Just don’t give up.”

“Thanks guys, I know you can do it.” Tom replied as he forced himself to smile.

“Remember that Lion is counting on all of us to find a way to free him.” Terri said as she made a clicking noise.

A racoon cub was sleeping in his bed as he hugged one of The Uncle Buck stuffies. He appeared to be happily sleeping when the eyes of the stuffie began to glow red. The toy began to move by itself as he climbed out of the reach of the boy racoon.

The toy jumped off the bed and began to walk out of the cub’s room. It had already hypnotized the cub days ago and it was time for it to move onto the parents. It would take a few days for the hypnotism to fully take hold but once it was firmly in place they species would obey The Evil Emperor absolutely.

Soon The Evil Emperor would use the hypnotized species to obey his commands and make him ruler of the world. Originally he thought he could use they toys to take over the city but since they had gone viral his plans could reach globally making it that much easier to take over the world.…
