Devourer clung to the back of the last car of the train as he waited for it to slow down further. The ursine conductor had informed him it was only a few more miles to the station, the last thing he said to anybody before he slid down Dev's throat. The bear made a considerable bulge in one of his multiple stomachs, David was still safely secured in an adjacent stomach. Dev could feel David squirming slightly in discomfort, as the stomach with the rapidly digesting bear in it was pressing against him. Dev felt a tremor pass through the train as the brakes were beginning to be applied. He decided it was now or never.

"Get ready David, I'm going to jump, you're going to feel me hit the ground!" Dev warned him, then leapt from the moving train. The dragon hit the ground, and did a quick tuck and roll to help break the fall for David.

"Ooof!" David's muffled grunt came from inside of Dev.

"Are you alright David?" Dev asked with concern, rubbing his stomach.

"Yea, I'm good! Just caught me off guard is all! Shit, my stuff is probably still on the train!" David said.

"Don't worry, I put your stuff in your backpack and brought it with me. I have it right here. Actually, one sec!" Dev said, as he lifted the backpack into his jaws, and quickly swallowed it down. It was more convenient than carrying it anyway.

"What am I waiting...OW!" David cried out in surprise. "Careful up there, that hit me in the head! What is...oh! My backpack! Thanks Dev!"

"No problem, now keep it down in there, I need to focus and keep a low profile as I move into the city. It's still very early, so there shouldn't be many people out yet. I need to make it to my friend's place, hopefully undetected" Dev told him, as he loped towards the nearby buildings, and slipped into a shadowed alley.

Dev quickly made his way through the dark alleys, a sense of urgency filling him as the sun began to rise. The bear he had devoured before leaving the train turned out to be a boon, providing him the extra burst of energy he needed to keep up his relentless pace, but by now the bear had been reduced to slime covered bones in the stomach neighboring David's. He paused at the end of an alley, hidden in a slice of shadow as he surveyed the street before dashing across.

"Is it much further?" David called from his stomach.

"I said to keep it down, I need to concentrate! I'll let you know when we're there" Dev said grouchily.

"This is awkward, but I have to go the bathroom..." David said. Dev sighed and dragged his hand down his muzzle in frustration.

"Just go David, you would be far from the first one to ever do that in there!" Dev hissed, somewhat beginning to lose his patience with the wolf.

"But...then I'm gonna have piss all over myself, and no offense, it already smells terrible enough in here as it is! It's like something died in here!" David complained.

"Ugh, fine!" Dev said impatiently. Inside his stomach a hollow tendril emerged from the pulsating wall, then clamped down tightly onto David crotch.

"Ah!" David cried out, lurching in surprise against the other tendrils holding him down.

"There, now you can piss till your heart's content! The reason it smells like something died in there, is because MANY something's have died in there! Now pipe down before you become one of them! You're starting to make me regret my decision not to digest you!" Dev said angrily, as he turned his attention back to checking if it was safe to slip across. The coast was clear, and he dashed across into the next alley. The sun was rising quickly, and the shadows were shrinking. Dev made it a few more alleys, but now people were starting to come out onto the sidewalks in number. He cursed under his breath, it wasn't going to be possible to remain inconspicuous at this rate. This called for a change of strategy. He had used up the extra energy from his last meals, and his size had reduced somewhat. Dev knew what he had to do, though it might be slightly uncomfortable for David. But first, he needed to make space. Taking another quick look to make sure he wasn't being observed, Dev hopped into the nearby dumpster, and crouched down. If anybody would have been watching, they would have been horrified at what they saw. Slime covered bones slowly began to emerge from the gooey undulating flesh of his back, then tumbled down it into the dumpster as they slipped free. Dev didn't like disposing of bones so recklessly, but he had no choice. He couldn't do what he planned with the bones of four separate individuals inside of him. Dev jumped back out the dumpster, quickly rearranging the garbage bags to cover up the bones he had left behind.

"David, listen up" Dev said. "It's getting too light out, and there's too many people out on the sidewalks now. I need to contract myself down to a smaller size. I could let you out, but you would just draw unwanted attention being all covered in my stomach fluids, and most likely smelling terrible. So things are going to get...tight for you. Do me a favor and just go limp, don't fight my movements. Got it?" Dev asked.

"Ok, I got it" David replied nervously. The tendrils around him maneuvered his limbs as Dev's stomach reshaped itself, moving David into a standing position as Dev shrank himself down so that it was almost like the wolf was wearing him like an oversized suit. David was repositioned so that his head was at the back of Dev's jaws, his muzzle rested on the back of the dragon's tongue. When Dev opened his mouth he was able to see outside, and eagerly took a deep breath of the first fresh air he'd had in hours. After the stench of Dev's stomach, it was the sweetest thing he'd ever smelled, even though it was smoggy city air.

"Whoa, this is trippy!" David said, and inadvertently tried to move his limbs, but Dev quickly tensed his body, preventing him from being able to move any further.

"Stop moving, I need to concentrate!" Dev hissed.

"Sorry!" David apologized, and went limp as Dev had requested.

"Thank you!" Dev said testily, then took a deep breath and concentrated. His purple endlessly undulating flesh began to slow in its movements, and then began to smooth out. In a few moments, it had stopped moving entirely, and to anybody looking at him, it would appear to be just regular skin. It took an immense amount of concentration to maintain, but it was just a few more blocks to his friend's place. Stepping casually out of the alley, Dev made his way down the sidewalk. His still imposingly large stature, and faintly glowing red eyes and horns may have drawn a few curious glances, but with his normally undulating gooey flesh now still, he didn't draw any second looks. Dev was thankful that the rest of the trip was uneventful, and was greatly relieved when he slipped into the alley that led to the old warehouse his friend occupied.

Looking over his shoulder as he walked down the alley and into the shadows, he decided he was in the clear, and sighed with relief. His flesh once again began to slowly flow and undulate as he gradually began to expand back to his usual larger size. Dev chuckled when he heard David cry out in surprise as his head was pulled back down the dragon's throat as he was drawn back into Dev's stomach by the tendrils still wrapped around his body.

"Almost there David, it's safe to talk now" Dev told him.

"Ugh, thank god! No offense, but I'm going to be so glad to get out of here!" David exclaimed.

"Who said I was ever letting you back out?" Dev teased.

"What! But I thought..." David said in panicked confusion.

"Relax, I'm just messing with you! I'll let you out once we're inside!" Dev said with a laugh, his mood rapidly improving now that he had made it here without being detected. He felt David sigh with relief, but the wolf remained silent for now. Approaching the warehouse door, Dev hit the call button on the keypad next to it.

"Yes, who is it?" an impatient voice answered after a brief wait.

"Hey Drax, it's Dev!" the dragon replied with a grin, as he looked into the camera over the door.

"Dev! What brings you here?" Draxis asked, the impatience in his voice immediately replaced with delight.

"I was hoping I could stay with you for a couple days if it's ok?" Dev asked. In response to his question, there was a loud buzz, and the door unlocked.

"Please come in!" Drax invited. Dev opened the door and quickly slipped inside.

The shabby exterior of the warehouse hid a surprisingly luxurious interior. Dev couldn't help but be impressed with what Drax had made for himself here. Drax soon appeared and came to greet him. Drax was somewhat similar in size and appearance to Dev, only his gooey undulating flesh was grey, with traces of yellow, and his horns and eyes were yellow.

"Dev! So wonderful to see you!" Drax greeted him with a warm smile, and extended his hand as he approached.

"Drax, thank you so much for letting me stay for a bit, I really appreciate it!" Dev said gratefully as he shook with Drax. The flowing flesh of their hands briefly intertwined as they shook.

"Happy to have you! It's always fun when you come for a visit!" Drax said, his grin growing wider.

"Speaking of fun, I've brought somebody with me, I hope you don't mind?" Dev said.

"Oh? Are they..." Drax trailed off, and gestured towards Dev's stomach.

"They are, just a moment. David? Get ready, I'm going to let you out now" Dev told the wolf.

"Ok!" came David's eager, yet muffled reply. David was caught off guard when Dev's stomach and chest split open in front of him, and the tendrils that had been restraining him unceremoniously dumped him on the floor. David and his backpack hit the floor with a thud after falling from Dev's chest, and he was slightly dazed. He sat up, and grimaced with disgust as he ran his hands through the sticky foul smelling fluids from Dev's stomach that completely coated his fur. When he looked up, he gasped in surprise at seeing a new large dragon he didn't recognize. David quickly scooted backwards, bumping into Dev's legs. Dev knelt down on one knee and put a reassuring hand on David's shoulder to calm him.

"Who is THAT?" David asked nervously, eyeing the imposing unfamiliar dragon.

"That's my friend Draxis, you have nothing to be afraid of" Dev assured him. "Draxis, this is my new friend David, David, this is Draxis" Dev introduced them.

"Pleasure to meet you David! Please call me Drax" Drax said, as he crouched down with his hands on his knees and looked over the cowering black furred wolf. Drax grinned somewhat menacingly as his glowing yellow eyes eagerly took him in. "Is this one for eating or for playing with?" Drax asked Dev, as his long yellow forked tongue snaked out of his jaws and washed over his muzzle.

"Can't it be both?" Dev said with a mischievous grin. David shivered slightly at the implications.

"So what made you decide to spare him? Normally you aren't one to pass up such a tasty looking morsel, I certainly couldn't have!" Drax exclaimed, a string of drool beginning to form at the corner of his jaws.

"Well, David here actually knew who I was when he saw me! To say I was shocked would be an understatement! Apparently I am a minor internet celebrity!" Dev said with a prideful chuckle.

"What? Please explain David" Drax requested, absentmindedly wiping the runner of drool from the corner of his jaws.

"Well, I was just browsing around on the internet one night, and came across a forum that covers mysterious sightings, and that's where I learned about Dev! That's pretty much the whole story. I didn't even believe he was real, until suddenly he's sitting in front of me on a train after having eaten all the other passengers in the car I was in!" David told Drax.

"You ate all the passengers?" Drax said to Dev with an impressed chuckle.

"It was only three to be fair, not like it was a whole car full of them!" Dev said with a laugh.

"I might have to try that sometime, sounds like it was fun! But that can't be the only reason you kept David around". Drax said.

"I have to admit, I was also a little taken back by his eagerness at the prospect of being eaten. It's rare to find somebody with that kind of enthusiasm, and I felt it would have been such a waste to digest someone like that, despite his wishes. Also, that tight ass of his is one incredible fuck!" Dev said with a guttural laugh. Drax threw his head back and laughed loudly in response, his laughter echoed in the open space.

"I knew it! You can't resist a good lay!" Drax said, wiping a tear of laughter from his eye. "Perhaps you'll let me have a turn David?"

"Ah, yea, that could be fun!" David said, sounding slightly uncertain though.

"By any chance do you have a bathroom I could use? Especially a shower, no offense Dev, but I wasn't expecting the smells or...residue...from being in your stomach. Do you guys...even use a bathroom?" David asked shyly. Dev and Drax looked at each other, then broke out in more laughter at his question.

"We do David, the bathroom is right there" Drax said, pointing to a door down the hallway. "I apologize I don't have a fur dryer in there, but there are plenty of clean towels. Come find us in the kitchen when you're done"

"Ok, thank you so much!" David said with relief, as he climbed to his feet, and quickly headed to the bathroom. David wasn't sure what to expect when he opened the door. He was half expecting to find some giant toilet he would have to scale to use, based on how large Draxis was, but was pleasantly surprised to find a normal sized toilet. The bathroom was quite large and spacious, and immaculately clean. The only odd thing was a large hatch that was raised about five feet from the floor next to the toilet, and was secured with a large combination lock. The wolf thought he detected a faint trace of an unpleasant odor emanating from it. David couldn't help but wonder about its purpose as he used the toilet, then got into the shower. The lack of a fur dryer was inconvenient, but it was nice to get Dev's unpleasant smelling stomach fluids off of him, and he dried himself as best he could with the towels. He would be a little damp for a while, but it was a small price to pay to finally be clean again. He headed back to find Dev and Drax in the kitchen. Considering most of his meals didn't require cooking or preparation, Draxis had a surprisingly nice, and well equipped kitchen. David marvelled at its size and how modern everything was. Dev and Drax stopped talking when he came in, and both turned to grin hungrily at him as he struggled to pull back one of the giant kitchen chairs, then climbed up onto it. He felt like a kid sitting in the giant chair, the table was level with his chest. The furniture had been designed with Draxis' large size in mind, and both he and Dev were more than twice David's height.

"Your bathroom is really nice! I had a question though, what is that locked hatch next to the toilet for?" David asked. Dev and Drax glanced at each other and chuckled.

"Unfortunately bones have a tendency to clog the plumbing horribly, so they must be deposited elsewhere" Drax explained nonchalantly.

"Oh, I see..." David said, trembling slightly as he imagined what must lie beneath that hatch.

"I still have a bone or two inside of me from earlier, I might have to use it later" Dev said with a chuckle.

"I'm sorry to impose again, but you wouldn't happen to have any food would you? I'm absolutely starving!" David exclaimed.

"Goodness, where are my manners? Of course I have something you can eat! I happen to have some leftover pizza if you would like?" Drax offered.

"Pizza?!? You found a pizza place that would deliver to you? I thought you were blacklisted from every pizza place around here after the delivery people kept never coming back?" Dev asked in disbelief.

"A new one opened up! But in the interest of keeping pizza as an option, I've so far managed to restrain myself from eating any delivery people, but it's been a challenge. They all look so...delicious!" Drax said with a sigh as he got up from the table and went over to the refrigerator.

"Your restraint is impressive!" Dev said with a laugh.

"Would you like me to heat this up for you David?" Drax offered as he pulled a pizza box from the fridge.

"Uh, no, cold is fine. Thank you again for your hospitality" David said.

"My, such a polite young wolf! I'm starting to see why Dev likes you!" Drax commented as he put the pizza box down in front of David. The wolf eagerly flipped the box open to reveal a few slices of pepperoni pizza.

"Nice, pepperoni is my favorite!" David said eagerly, as he pulled a slice out.

"It's my favorite too, I find that pepperoni tastes quite similar to the fearful sweat of my prey as they are sliding across my tongue and down my throat!" Drax commented, his long forked tongue slipped out and licked the tip of his snout.

"Oooh, I never really thought of that before, but you are absolutely right!" Dev said with a laugh. David paused mid bite as he processed this new information, then slowly resumed eating. The two dragon's watched him quietly as he ate with an intense interest that was slightly unsettling. They seemed to hang on every bite he took, almost seeming disappointed when he finished.

"Thank you for the pizza, I really appreciate it" David said gratefully to Drax.

"My pleasure David! You two must be quite tired after your trip, please feel free to use the guest room if you would like to rest up" Drax offered.

"Thank you Drax, we would appreciate that. Come along David!" Dev said as he got up, offering his hand to help David hop down from his chair. David shyly took his offered hand, and Dev continued holding on to it as he led David to the guest room. The guest room was just across from the bathroom, and contained a bed at least four times bigger than any David had any seen. Dev released David's hand, and climbed onto the bed, laying on his side. He looked back at David expectantly as he patted the spot in front of him. David climbed up onto the enormous bed, and crawled over and laid down next to Dev. The dragon's large arm curled around his chest, and he pulled the wolf back against himself. David could feel the flesh of Dev's chest flowing and moving against his back. Dev gently rubbed the wolf's chest, and leaned down to give the side of his muzzle a lick. Dev's large hand slid down to grope David's sheath briefly, before sliding back up to his chest again.

"Get some rest, you're going to need your energy for later" Dev whispered into his ear, briefly poking the forked tip of his tongue into it before laying his head back onto the pillow and closing his eyes. David shivered slightly in Dev's clutches, and couldn't help but wonder again what he had gotten himself into.

David didn't know how much time had passed when he woke up. Dev's arm was still tightly curled around him, and when he tried to slide out from under it, he realized he had partially sunk into the gooey surface of Dev's chest, and was firmly stuck. David sighed and laid his head back down, realizing he wasn't going anywhere. A few moments later he heard Dev yawn, and his large arm slid away from him.

"Oops, sorry about that David" Dev said with a chuckle when he saw the wolf snared in his chest. David felt the goo that ensnared him begin to retract, and he was free to move again. He was surprised to find he wasn't covered in it when he ran his hand across his back.

"I would have expected to be covered in your goo after that!" David said with a laugh.

"It only runs off of me when I want it to, but don't worry, I'm sure you will find yourself drenched in it later!" Dev said with a suggestive chuckle. "Now if you'll excuse me, I need to use the hatch to see if I can shake these last few bones inside me loose. Why don't you go see what Drax is up to?" Dev suggested as he got out of bed.

"Ok, I'll go find him" David agreed, but somewhat reluctantly. He had just met Draxis, and still found him quite intimidating. David wandered out into the large main living area. It was sparsely furnished, a few couches and chairs, all arranged to face a large TV. Draxis was lounging on a massive couch in front of the TV, idly flipping through the channels. Looking over his shoulder, he perked up when he saw David standing there.

"Ah, David! I hope you had a pleasant rest, please come join me!" Drax invited.

"It was good, thank you. Dev had to use the...um...hatch, he'll be along shortly" David said as he came around the huge couch. Like the other furniture, it was designed for somebody much larger than him. Drax leaned over and offered his hand to assist him. Tentatively David took it, and gasped as Drax's large hand closed tightly around his arm as he quickly hauled him up to sit next to him like he weighed nothing.

"I've been thinking about how you told us you learned about Dev on an online forum. Do you think any of the other members live in the city here? Normally Dev and I would be going out for a hunt, but I thought of something else we could try. It's always a risk for us when we go out and take prey off the street, that danger of discovery is a serious problem that requires us to be very careful. I was thinking maybe some of you forum members might be interested in meeting us? Though I should warn you, once you bring them here, they won't be leaving again..." Drax said, and grinned sinisterly.

"I...I guess I could see?" David said with uncertainty. Did he really want to condemn somebody to be eaten by Dev and Drax? Then again he knew that many members of the forum shared the same fantasies he did of being devoured. He made up his mind.

"Let me go grab my phone, be right back" David told Drax, and slipped off the couch to get his backpack where he had left it near the door. He returned quickly, pulling out his phone, and Drax again helped hoist him back up onto the couch. David pulled up the forum on his phone, as Drax draped a massive arm over his shoulders, sliding closer as he leaned over to see what the wolf was doing. He pulled up the members list and sorted it by member locations, and found that indeed some of them did live in this city.

"Hmm, how about that one?" Drax mused, pointed a clawed finger at a profile pic of a horse and tapped on it. David nodded and sent off a direct message to them. The missing train passengers had already made the news, and David told the horse he had been one of the passengers, but he had managed to escape and jumped off the train when he saw Devourer, and knew where he was hiding. He had actually seen his name mentioned as one of the missing passengers, so it would give his story even more credibility. The opportunity to catch a glimpse of Devourer in person would be irresistible.

"Maybe this guy?" David suggested, pointing to a lion that lived in the city.

"Yes, he would be perfect! Excellent choice David!" Drax said with a pleased chuckle. David sent another message, with the same story as he had sent to the horse. There were some others listed in the city as well, but the lion and the horse were the closest two.

"Let's see if they respond, if not we can try some of the others, oh!" David said in surprise, the horse had already responded. They had seen the news and he had compared the picture from the news with his forum picture, and totally believed him. They were eager to meet up. As he was responding to the horse, the lion messaged him as well.

"It would appear the bait has been taken!" Drax said eagerly. "Tell them you'll meet them at the subway station at the end of the block, I would prefer you don't advertise my actual location."

"I understand, they've agreed to meet me in a couple hours from now" David informed Drax.

"Well done David! Tonight is going to be quite fun! Well, for us anyway, your forum friends, not so much!" Drax said, and laughed loudly.

"Well, what's so funny in here?" Dev asked as he entered the room, and came over to take a seat on David's other side, then sliding right up against him. The wolf found himself firmly wedged between the two dragons.

"Our new friend David here has arranged for our meal this evening! No skulking about in the shadows for us tonight!" Drax said, almost sounding proud of the wolf.

"Oh? Do tell!" Dev said with interest.

"Well, it was actually Drax's idea. I contacted some of the members of the forum who live nearby in the city, and I'm going to go meet them later. I told them I escaped from the train when I saw you onboard eating the passengers. I was on the news, but listed as missing, so they believed me. I said I knew where you were hiding in the city, and they couldn't resist the chance at catching a glimpse of you. I'm going to meet them at the subway stop, then lead them back here. After that...well, I guess you guys will do your thing" David said and shrugged.

"Oh, that is genius!" Dev said, clapping David on the shoulder, then sliding his arm around him. Being pinned firmly between the two dragon's, each with one of their heavy arms draped over his shoulders, was both exciting and anxiety inducing at the same time for David.

"Well, we have some time to kill before David's friends arrive. Let's see what's on TV until then" Drax suggested, and resumed flipping through the channels to find something to watch. David's attention was distracted from the TV when he felt a slick oozing sensation spreading across his thigh. He looked down to see that the flesh of Drax's leg had begun to spread across his own where they touched. Dev glanced over when he noticed David was distracted, then chuckled when he saw what Drax was up to. David flinched slightly when he felt the same sensation beginning to spread on his other leg as Dev followed Drax's lead. David was quickly growing alarmed as the two dragon's gooey undulating flesh rapidly flowed across his lap to meld together with each other. The wolf then realized that the two dragons arms over his shoulders had begun to soften and run down his chest as well. The sensation felt like a thick warm liquid running down his body and made him shiver nervously. Their oozing arms met with the undulating flesh in David's lap and began to merge with it. David's eyes widened as their combined gooey flesh began to overlap in a purple and grey swirl. then began to rapidly spread up to cover his chest.

"Uh, guys? You're gonna get me all gooey..." David started to say, but was cut off when a tendril emerged from the goo surging over him and coiled tightly around his muzzle, silencing him.

"Shhh, just relax..." Dev said soothingly. Drax chuckled, and nodded his agreement. David gritted his teeth as he felt thick tendrils curling tightly around his limbs and chest beneath the churning gooey flesh that covered him nearly up to his neck. Dev and Drax looked at each other and grinned knowingly, an unspoken message passing between them. David exhaled heavily through his nose as he felt a tendril wind tightly around his tail and firmly pull it up, allowing the tip of another tendril to tease his asshole. The full body stimulation caused his cock to begin sliding from his sheath, only to be promptly ensnared by more eagerly grasping tendrils. David groaned as the tendril gently prodding at his asshole suddenly surged into him, and began slithering deeply into his bowels. The wolf strained and squirmed at the gooey flesh and tendrils that restrained him, but they held him fast. His eyes widened as another tendril joined the first one in his ass, and grunted loudly through his nose as his asshole was spread even wider by the second invader.

"How deep into him do you think we can go?" Drax asked Dev casually.

"Only one way to find out!" Dev replied with a chuckle. The tendrils on David's cock began a rhythmic squeezing as the tendrils sliding up his asshole continued to push deeper and deeper, almost as if they were racing each other to reach some unknown destination before the other one could. His insides felt as though they were being crammed full, and as he watched, the gooey flesh across his belly parted like a curtain to reveal his stomach and crotch. David's eyes widened in shock at seeing how obscenely his stomach bulged and rippled from the tendrils writhing deep within it. The purple and grey tendrils coiled around his cock slid and thrashed across it as though they were fighting each other for territory. His whole body tensed, and he shuddered violently as he came, his semen spraying out of him and onto the gooey flesh that churned in his lap, where it was quickly absorbed. The wolf slumped in the living bonds that held him, and moaned as he felt the tendrils deep inside his bowels begin to rapidly withdraw. It almost felt like he was deflating as they slid from him, and he was relieved when they finally slipped free from him. The tendril around his muzzle released him, and he gasped loudly as he took a deep breath. Dev and Drax's tendrils unwound from him, and their flesh flowed back to their respective bodies. David slouched back and panted heavily as he tried to recover. He glanced down at his body and was amazed to see he wasn't covered in slime or goo. The experience had completely exhausted him, and he slumped against Dev's side. Drax removed his arm from David's shoulders, but Dev's remained, and he gently rubbed the wolf's chest as they dozed off to recover.

It was getting time for David to go meet his fellow forum members, and Dev gently shook him awake where he leaned heavily into the dragon's side. David was briefly disoriented when he awoke, but then remembered where he was, and looked up at Dev groggily.

"Time to go meet your friends" Dev said, grinning down at him.

"More like acquaintances than friends really" David mumbled sleepily.

"Finally, I'm absolutely famished!" Drax exclaimed, rubbing his hands together eagerly. Dev helped David slip off the couch to the floor, and Drax got up as they both accompanied David to the door.

"Try not to draw attention to yourself, and try to make sure nobody follows you back. When you return, the lights will be out, and the door will be ajar. When you close it, it will lock. Once you bring them in, we'll do the rest..." Dev said to David. Drax rumbled his agreement, his long tongue snaking out to lick over his muzzle in anticipation. David nodded, as Dev held the door open for him. David headed out into the night to serve in his role as bait for the dragon's intended victims.
