Bigger Purpose

A rhino and elephant get an unexpected boost.
Jacob was a normal human man. He would go to work, come home and get ready to do the same the next day. One day, while he was scrolling on his phone while eating dinner, a bright flash of light seemed to fill the room. When he opened his eyes, he could first see what looked like a tropical forest. The heat is starting to get to him.
Then suddenly the ground started to shake rhythmically as he popped into the air a bit. He tries to focus on what is happening, and soon I get my answer. A mountain of burly gray skin, as it seems to be some kind of Rhinoceros man. Only he was about 70 feet tall! He was only wearing a loincloth and had markings on his body and limbs.
"Did the ritual fail?" He asks as he walks over. For some reason, Jacob could understand them, but it was clear they weren't speaking the same language by the way his mouth moved.
"Shaman said they would ask the spirits for help." An elephant man replied, dressed the same but more round than his friend.
The rhino comes inches closer to Jacob. Jacob starts screaming for help, but is far too small for the giant men to hear.
"Where is it then? We were told to expect a powerful warrior from another place." The rhino kept slowly walking closer, still a little afraid to go to the ritual site. His foot hovering over Jacob before it fell on him. The Rhino felt something strange and powerful overtake him, rising from his feet. His body starts to grow bigger and bigger. Until he is almost 20 feet taller.
Jacob, on the other hand, felt something else when the massive foot fell on him. Something pulling away from him into the point of contact. His body started to shrink a whole foot. Making him a total of 4 feet 10 inches now. Smothered by the heavy sole and heat from it somehow took something from him.
"What was that? What happened to you?" The elephant asked, confused about how his friend grew.
The Rhino stepped back, confused and a little startled by what just happened as well.
"Maybe not a warrior, but a blessing. You try."
The Elephant steps up and takes a step onto the site. Happening to get Jacob as well and starting to grow as Jacob in turn shrinks. The elephant is on him longer and gets almost double the size from him. The rate of shrinking slowed for Jacob, but his body felt drained and was too tired to try to run anymore.
"Incredible! We should tell the others!" The elephant starts to go but is stopped.
"Wait. We should keep this to ourselves. We can rule over the rest of the tribe with this." The rhino says his new scheme.
The Elephant is shocked at first, but as he was tired of the tribal chieftain, he soon smirked and agreed. They would take turns unknowingly stepping on Jacob, repeating the process until they were both hundreds of feet tall, while Jacob was only a little speck compared to his normal size.
They both kept trying to get more but failed to do so. The size difference is so large that Jacob gets saved from contact from the folds of their gigantic feet. They ended up crushing the Ritual site in frustration, stopping the magic from working again. The stomping made Jacob get stuck on the landscape of the Rhino's foot. Glued onto it by the sweat.
"Come now, we start our role as gods." The rhino bellowed before walking back home with his friend. Unaware of the human or the new life he was now bound to.
