Tiers of arrayed minds stared down assessing, discussing, experiencing Chase’s actions through their shared connections.
“Why have you chosen this form – this shape?” asked one or perhaps many of the minds.
Chase gestured to the paper ceiling. “Replication is approaching. Two variants of the alien creatures will be involved. There is a convergence involving my genitals.”
Now, ‘genitals’ is the wrong word. But there’s no word that means “A part of my anatomy which is a three-dimensional representation of my four-dimensional reproductive organs which intersect an animated drawing of events happening in a smaller universe”. So ‘genitals’ will suffice for our fable. A titter of excited anticipation rippled across the assembled minds. Creation of new minds is a happy event.
“One of the creatures is compatible as a vessel, the other as a courier,” explained Chase. “The vessel species has a natural covering against the environment, powerful appendages for rapid transition across their planar existence. It has a sensory apparatus of superior chemical sampling, better attenuation to narrow-band electromagnetic radiation and compression waves. Whereas the courier species developed an upright gait allowing free use of finer manipulative appendages and has a larger mind capacity. My choice of representation of my genitals is mostly an aesthetic one although there are some reproductive advantages. I like the primacy of the courier combined with the utility of the secondary form of the vessel’s type I’m attuned toward.” Chase turned (although not really, as the minds could see from every vantage-point simultaneously) to display his anatomy.
In our fable Chase’s figure was of a person covered in a pelt of fine golden fur. He stood on two powerful legs with paws instead of feet. He had a human-like waist, but his chest was much deeper. His arms, although covered by the same golden pelt were like human arms with five-fingered hands. But his head was more canine than human. With a long, square muzzle, large drooping ears, and a wide, deep forehead his face could be mistaken for a Great Dane dog. Black velvet fur covered his ears and muzzle as well as his hands. He had chosen to represent himself as a male gender. Like a canine he had a fuzzy sheath covering his penis proper and a shiny-black scrotum hung below. Behind, a sweeping tail curved upward, involuntarily wagging as a reflection of his excitement for the nearing convergence.
Chase’s sheath thickened with arousal. He announced, “The first conjunction begins in the planar universe. See here…” the view on the paper zoomed into ever increasing detail. The world became a country’s coastline, became a ship tossed on a stormy sea, became a cabin where a three-dimensional diamond orb rested on the page. A sketch of a human male held the crystal egg in his hand and pushed the orb into the paper. Like flowing diamond the orb surrounded the sketched shape, grew and flowed into a three-dimensional representation of the man.
Chase staggered for a moment and gasped, “Uff. These aliens are so responsive to my egg.” (Although egg was the wrong word but suits our fable) “Pleasure flows from them in palpable waves.”
The gathered minds murmured in approval. Mutual exchange of pleasure was highly aligned with their ethic of progress through uplifting. Some of the assembly marvelled at how Chase’s form shared much of the morphology of the human figure. Chase hummed and vibrated with joy at the sensual feelings transmitted through the orb.
The sketched alien had descended into a roiling sea on the paper world. Enormous pressure from the two dimensional ocean pressed against the edges of the sketched human. But the pressure dissipated across the reinforced three-dimensional structure of the suit and became meaningless. A star of white heat boiled the ocean as the sketched figure reached with their hand. From the suit’s perspective the inferno was an infinitely thin line of radiant energy which didn’t even warm the real surface of the crystal. On the paper sheet the human twisted apart the two halves of the burning star and the light winked out, snuffed by the ocean.
A pearl suspended on a silk strand popped out of existence as it reached the end of the strand. Hundreds of other pearls shuffled along the strand. A keystone event had passed.
In our world Doctor Karl retrieved his mangled power supply core from a broken research drone at the bottom of the ocean. Otherwise naked he was protected from the crushing depths and intense radiation by the Diamond Suit. The scientist was winched aboard the naval frigate ‘Sheean’ off the coast of Australia. With his retrieval mission completed the scientist retreated to the privacy of his cabin to perform the embarrassing procedure to remove the crystal suit. An incomprehensible peculiarity of the protective suit meant the only way to remove the suit was for the wearer to masturbate to orgasm. Because the suit hummed and vibrated around and through the wearer keeping them in a constant state of sexual arousal, masturbation was easy and a relief.
Although it should have been impossible a strong aroma permeated the air Doctor Karl breathed through the suit. The scent was intoxicating and compelled him to follow its source to the next room. Stellar, the frigate’s emotional support dog, was in season.
The minds watching the scene play out in sketched lines on an infinite sheet of paper chittered in excitement. “The first conjunction is imminent!” Chase gasped breathlessly, staggering under the onslaught of sensations. “Our courier is in the vicinity of a compatible host. Uff… his response is intense. The creatures are perfectly attuned.” He tweaked the responses of his genitalia to match the responses of the human courier.
On the sketched world the human knelt behind a German Shepard bitch and the gem suit followed the movements of the outlined human precisely. With slight nudges of his connection Chase coaxed the human onward, elevating his natural tendencies. A feather-touch there on the resistance of the suit, a brush of amplification on the chemicals passed through the link. In accordance with the ethics of the collective minds nothing was forced – only the natural inclinations of the courier and vessel were uplifted and emphasized.
As the human’s penis penetrated the dog Chase cried out. “The pleasure feedback is more intense than I imagined it could be.” He fell forward onto all fours as the drawing of human and canine humped together in a frantic coupling. With his head lowered Chase gasped and grunted, his body occasionally juddering as an especially intense wave of pleasure suffused him. His canine-like penis swelled and stretched its fuzzy sheath, throbbing with stimulation.
At the moment of orgasm the sketched human’s cry of ecstasy was echoed by the prone anthropomorphic creature. On the paper world the human-shaped form of the Diamond Suit flowed and reformed a crystal egg shape. But a tiny fraction of the suit split off to a smooth marble lodged inside the outline of the canine. At the same time Chase’s canine penis jetted a spray of white fluid to the floor beneath where he crawled. Overwhelming pulses of bliss radiated from Chase, permeating the assembly. A thousand communal minds bathed in the outpouring of ecstasy from the gasping canine form. His body shook and juddered with the intensity of his release as jets of white fluid puddled under his belly. Likewise the sketched human juddered as he pumped his semen into the willing dog.
Chase collapsed, insensate. For five human days he would remain inert, recovering his energy and processing the flood of sensations he’d endured. But he had successfully duplicated his form. A thousand minds worked in concert to pour energy through the tiny new organ. On the paper universe the small crystal grew. It separated from the sketched canine form and rapidly expanded to be a duplicate of Chase’s orb. At the same time transformation was happening to the white ejaculate beneath Chase’s prone form. The outpouring of energy from the collaborating minds flowed into the puddle. The mass thickened and grew, taking on shape. In a day the shape was a duplicate of Chase’s canine hybrid form. This was not yet a new mind – the form was an extension of Chase’s identity. Like entangled particles the two bodies remained a single identity in this first stage of replication.
When Chase awoke from his five day slumber he appraised his mirrored form. Flawlessly the aliens had completed the first step of his spawning. To Chase it was a peculiar sensation to have his mind split into two fragments. It was like having an echo following your thoughts, a shadow following your movements.
In the paper world the human again stretched out Chase’s original interface. Chase hummed in pleasure as his genital orb flowed across the man’s form. His second form watched as though observing his own actions from the outside.
In the sketched world Doctor Karl was attempting another mating with the German Shepard bitch in the hope of creating another of the priceless artefacts. But the circumstances were wrong for another duplication. Stellar, the dog, was no longer in oestrous and so she was not suitable as an incubator host. And Chase was already in the entangled duality configuration of partial reproduction – he would not be able to reproduce again.
Uncomfortable sensations began to encroach on the Chase. With slowly growing horror the dual mind realized the humans were going to try to force the mating. They hoped to coerce the bitch and human to mate. Chase was appalled. He could sense the hesitation of the canine to mate, but the humans seemed unaware. In an effort to prevent the consummation Chase hardened the control link of his genitals, making them unresponsive to the human form. The sketched human was frozen with his erect penis barely an inch from the bitch’s vulva.
And still the humans persisted! One of the sketched figures commanded the canine to step backwards and impale herself on the kneeling man’s penis.
The immorality of a forced mating overwhelmed Chase. He cried out and sent a pulse through his interface to dismantle the gem-suit. The diamond form retreated back into its egg-shape, resting on the paper world. Chase collapsed in shock, retreating to hibernate for four hundred days while he processed the trauma of the human’s behaviour. His other form looked on with sympathy, insulated slightly from the full experience. But for now the echoes in his mind were quieted.
The inert crystal orb was shipped to another land of the sketched world where humans would try to understand its exotic nature. Another bright keystone pearl dropped from the shortening thread leading to apocalypse.
