Chapter 18: Sleep Tight

Chapter 18: Sleep Tight
Kilyan didn't meet Avi and Ryo at the village gates. Not directly. There was something else on his mind, and that something was Zalia. He knew that he wouldn't be able to leave until he knew his little sister was okay, and so shouldering his spear and his traveling pack, Kilyan walked the dark streets to his father's hut.
He knocked respectfully at the curtain, but only found that his mother and Zalia were kneeling around the fire: Zaldon and Kel had already left with the others to find Enya and Theo. The two females looked up and smiled when they saw Kilyan, two pairs of sapphire eyes beaming warmly at him. Kilyan smiled back, silently marveling that though his mother aged a little every year, she retained her unusual beauty: her incredibly soft gray fur, those large breasts under her shawl, her slender waist, and that strong and loving spirit in her eyes. Aliona hadn't changed much, and Kilyan was glad.
Zalia, on the other hand, was almost completely different from the teenage brat Kilyan had known. She had shed some of her headstrong ways, some of her silliness, and with the burdens and the joys of becoming a mother, was somewhat cooler in temper -- though Kilyan still knew to beware her fists and fangs.
"You going to stand there grinning or come in?" Zalia said playfully.
Kilyan folded his arms and lifted his eyebrows at his sister. "I think I'll stand here just to annoy you."
Aliona laughed. "Oh, Kilyan, come in, come and sit!"
Kilyan grinned again and sat between his mother and sister around the fire. He kissed his mother warmly on the cheek, then he started to kiss Zalia's cheek but made a disgusted face and turned away. Zalia made a face back, and the brother and sister laughed. Kilyan put his arm around Zalia, and Aliona knew without it having to be said that big brother wanted a moment alone with little sister.
"I think I'll go rest before supper," Aliona said, smiling as she climbed wearily to her feet. Kilyan rushed to help her stand and offered to help her up the hall, but she gently smiled and insisted that she was fine. They watched as she went up the hall with her hips switching, her tail floating behind her, the slow but graceful walk of an aging beauty.
"So . . . how you holdin' up, fleabag?" Kilyan asked, sitting again beside his sister. He folded his legs and leaned his elbows on his knees, and when he looked at Zalia, his green eyes were filled with concern.
Zalia swallowed and stared miserably at her lap, and Kilyan knew at once that she'd been pasting on a smile in front of their mother: inside, Zalia was breaking.
"I don't know what's happened to my family," Zalia admitted in a whisper. "Keeno has been acting like an idiot and Enya has run off into god knows where! Anything could have happened to her by now!" Zalia held back a sob, her shoulders shook, and Kilyan -- unable to stand the sight of his little sister so miserable -- pulled her under his arm and kissed her head.
"Hey, hey," he said softly as Zalia's hot tears spilled from her eyes, "Enya isn't alone, Zalia! She isn't alone! She's with Theo, one of the best damn warriors in the village. And as for Keeno . . ."
"Oh! Don't even speak his name to me! I told him that if anything happened to Enya he'd better not come back to our hut!"
Kilyan swallowed thickly. How could he argue? Zalia had every right to be angry: if Keeno hadn't lost his temper and married Enya off, none of this would have happened. But he also knew that Keeno had been acting with his daughter's best interests in mind. Kilyan sat holding Zalia as she cried and silently struggled for words. Words, as ever, escaped him, but he needed Zalia to know that he cared.
"You now, Zalia," Kilyan began, "Enya will come home. I mean, look at the odds: she has a great sorcerer, Yuri, and her father after her. With their determination combined, Enya's bound to be found!"
Zalia shook her head miserably. "Even if they find Enya, she can't come back here, Kilyan! You know that!"
Kilyan heaved a miserable sigh. That was true: if the council wanted to, they could stone Enya for defying her father. And Keeno . . . Keeno would be helpless to stop them. "Then we'll take her away some where --"
"Where?" Zalia whispered, and when she sniffed up at her brother with large blue eyes, Kilyan remembered the pup she had once been: so wild and mischievous, and yet the moment she fell and scraped a knee, the moment her tail got slammed under something, little Zalia had always come waddling to Kilyan with big tear-filled eyes, and how their parents had smiled to see little Kilyan comforting his baby sister.
"Where Keeno should have sent her in the first place: the sun village. You know I've been to the sun village, Zalia, so you can take my word for it. It's a great place, so beautiful and so big, and Enya would be happy there. She'd have Zaldon and Julyan and Yuri to look after her. And Julyan's sister Ceara, too, and when Zaldon comes to visit Dad, he can take you back with him to visit Enya and Yuri. So you see, Zalia? Things will work out just fine," Kilyan finished, squeezing his little sister in his arm. "And there's no reason Keeno shouldn't agree to it. Not after what's happened, anyway. He just needs some time to cool down and clear his mind --"
"Kilyan," sniffed Zalia with an amused smile, "you're babbling."
Kilyan laughed and fell silent. "Sorry," he said with a half-smile, but Zalia was not really annoyed: like their father, Kilyan had never been a male very good with words, and so when he wanted someone to know he cared, he had a tendency to babble while he searched for the right thing to say. She could remember countless times when Kilyan, in a protective attempt to warn her about males (Keeno in particular), had once rambled at her nonstop for an hour while Kel and Aliona looked on from a distance, stealing amused glances at their children. Such affectionate babbling had always been Kilyan's way, and while it had always slightly annoyed Zalia when she was younger, she was never so grateful as she was in that moment to have Kilyan rambling at her.
Zalia kissed her brother on the cheek, and smiling up at him from under a lock of glossy black mane, she said happily, "I love you too, big brother."
Kilyan left his parents' hut with a warm feeling in his heart: how much Zalia had changed over the years, how far she had come from the willful and wild female he had known all his life! He was so proud of her for growing up, for keeping her temper in check with Enya. Keeno, on the other hand, had failed miserably. And while Kilyan was angry with Keeno for what had happened to his niece, he also sympathized: Keeno had reacted rashly out of fear and as a result, had made a terrible mistake. Spotting Avi and Ryo standing at the village gates, Kilyan reflected that the best males sometimes did. His mistake was waiting for him with her wife, and what a lovely mistake she was. Sometimes he thought Avi was the best mistake he'd ever made.
Avi stood silver and beautiful in the moonlight, her black ears erect. Ryo stood towering beside Avi like a mighty guard, her big arms folded under her hard bosom, her face grim, and her terrible eyes glinting a silent warning that Kilyan should keep his distance. She was a brawny wolf: dark brown in color with bulging arms and calves, all the tight muscles of a male, and the thick neck of a winter wolf. Her mane was pulled back in a single long braid, which was plaited with the teeth of her ancestors. She stood straight and stern, her hard breasts thrust forward, her tail curled at the tip.
"So where will we search first?" Kilyan wanted to know. He passed through the village gates and gave the guards a nod.
Avi was standing beside her wife on the edge of the forest, her silver wings quietly folded behind her. "Avi often tell daughter stories of summer village, where father from. Daughter very curious about her father --"
"Too curious," cut in Ryo, glaring down at Kilyan. "Ryo don't know why Wynn want to find scrawny father. Ryo just as good as any father --"
"And yet here you stand, my daughter missing," cut in Kilyan.
Ryo's breasts heaved and they glared at each other before Avi interrupted, "Wynn would not know way to the summer village. Wynn never been beyond jungle. Avi and Ryo track her across the wastelands --"
"Over by the sun village?" Kilyan asked, suddenly still and alert: the wastelands was not a good place to be.
Avi nodded, the corners of her mouth turned down. "We think daughter may have crossed the sea. Scent ends there. Not in sun village, not anywhere near sun village --"
"I understand," Kilyan said gently when Avi's lip trembled. "I'll go with you as far as we must to find our daughter. I've been to the lands beyond the sea. There's the moon village and the autumn village. I don't know what else, but we should steer clear of the moon village," Kilyan told her, remembering with a pang that he was the moon chieftess' runaway sex slave. "The wolves there aren't quite as friendly as here. It would probably be best if you circled the village and sniffed for Wynn from the sky, Avi."
"Enough talk," Ryo barked. "We set out. No time to waste!"
"Back through the village then," Kilyan said. "We can set out through the southern gates."
They passed through the village together, and wolves peered from their huts, gawking at little Avi, her silver wings, and the hulking shemale at her side. Both shemales' penises were large and soft above their pussy lips. Ryo's limp cock was dark pink, like her nipples, and the wolves of the summer village gapped at her in open astonishment: shemales were creatures widely unheard of.
"Why they stare at penis?" Ryo demanded irritably. "Ryo should stare at them: some wolves only have vagina, others only have penis. Some don't even have tits." She snorted. "Freaks."
"No offence," returned Kilyan, his spear on his shoulder, "but you two are the freaks here. It's normal, having only one set of sexual organs in the summer village. And as for having wings . . . Well, you can see that no one here has those either."
"Wynn is like freaks of summer village," Ryo said. "She only have vagina. No penis." She eyed Kilyan critically and added, "Ryo see where she get it from. Father should have vagina under penis, but only have penis and big sacks. Father have no tits either. Father sadly lacking." She snorted at Kilyan and shook her head.
"Wynn felt like outcast," Avi explained. "And when she discovered father was like her, ran away to find him."
"Oh," said Kilyan pensively, and it all suddenly made sense: his daughter was not a shemale! He felt a sudden wave of relief and did not know why: should it have mattered whether or not his daughter was a shemale? He wasn't sure. "But, Avi, why did she cross the sea? Didn't you tell her where I was?"
Avi shook her head. "Avi did not know where summer village was and Mother would not tell. Avi only know that Kilyan wash up on shore one night, that you come from the sea. Avi tell Wynn this. Avi regret it now . . ."
Avi looked so miserable that Kilyan wanted to put his arm around her, but he knew he could not do such a thing and keep that arm: Ryo watched him with beady eyes. So he settled for watching Avi sympathetically instead. His little Black Ears was staring at the ground as they walked and her tail was low behind her. She was still so small, so slender, but she must've looked like a monster to the summer wolves, like a creature out of myth: the bones clanking in her mane, her large penis, her feathery wings. He even thought he heard the word "savages" whispered fearfully from the depths of huts every now and then.
"So you named her Wynn," Kilyan said, smiling to himself. "That's a pretty name."
Avi straightened up proudly. "Was Grandmother name. Gave it to Wynn: she have same cleverness as Grandmother Wynn. She have same strength in eyes . . . as Kilyan."
Reflecting on the "y" and "n" sounds in both their names, Kilyan realized that Avi had attempted in a discreet manner to give their child a name that resembled his own. Of course Roriana would never have allowed Wynn to have a name that closely resembled Kilyan's, and so Avi had named Wynn after her grandmother -- a name that also sounded a little like Kilyan's name.
When Kilyan smiled wisely at Avi, she angrily averted her eyes.
Avi's embarrassment was not lost on Ryo, who barked out, "We pass through southern gates now. Kilyan shut up and lead. Ryo follow in back, protect from rear. Avi stay safe in middle."
Kilyan felt a little annoyed that he was being ordered around, but Ryo was right: he knew this area of the country better than the both of them. Neither of the shemales had probably ever even left the jungle before, so Kilyan led them down out of the southern gates, nodding in greeting at the gawking guards on night duty. He announced that they should walk all night and camp in the morning and was glad when Ryo's dark eyes flashed her irritation at the order. Ryo was, after all, married to royalty and she probably considered herself above the commands of some lowly bumpkin from the summer village who only possessed one set of sexual organs and was, therefore, completely unworthy of Avi -- and had not only impregnated her princess but had left her in tears to boot. Remembering that night so long ago, Kilyan realized for the first time that Ryo's anger and over-protectiveness stemmed from something far deeper than mere jealousy. Perhaps she had loved Avi, had hated to see the princess get her heart broken, and was resentful of Kilyan for it even now. Walking in the lead, Kilyan thought to himself that he deserved Ryo's hatred as surely as he deserved Avi's.
They walked all night and passed beyond the grazing fields of the summer village, beyond the graveyard and the little wood. By first light, they were on the edge of the wood at a place where the trees overlooked the wasteland. Standing on the summit, Kilyan felt a dull ache in his chest to see that endless, barren earth: he had no fond memories of the wastelands. His visits to this place had always been in the midst of suffering and desperation. Now after ten years, here he stood again.
"Ryo take first watch," Ryo announced, taking a seat on a rock. "Kilyan and Avi sleep."
Kilyan smiled to himself as he peeled off his traveling pack: this was Ryo's way of making sure that he and Avi didn't get it on while she was asleep. But Ryo would have to sleep at some point, and though Kilyan had no intention of touching Avi again, once he was alone with her, it would be very hard keeping it down when he wanted her so badly.
Avi rolled out her sleeping furs, looking as miserable as either of them had ever seen her. She crawled in and went to sleep, her back to them both. But in the moment before she pulled the cover over herself, they had a clear view of her high little buttocks under her tail, her slender waist and dimpled back, and the side of one of her breasts. Kilyan held down a moan of longing and averted his eyes when Ryo angrily cleared her throat.
"Kilyan sleep," Ryo repeated, glowering at Kilyan. "Or Ryo put Kilyan to sleep."
Kilyan gave a half-smile. "Not just yet. I think we should talk."
"Ryo have nothing to say," was the dark reply.
"Well, I do. Look, Ryo, I know you have every reason to hate me --"
"Damn straight."
"-- but as long as we're on this trip together, why don't we try to be agreeable? I understand that you probably helped Avi to raise Wynn, that she's as much your daughter as she is mine -- perhaps even more yours since you've been with her these past ten years. But, Ryo, please know that my intentions are pure. I want to find Wynn and bring her back home. Her safety means as much to me as it does to you."
Ryo glared a long time at Kilyan, then said with a snort, "It doesn't. Kilyan not know what it mean to worry for Wynn, to think she dead, to think she lost forever, because Kilyan was not there for Wynn! Kilyan doesn't even know her!"
"Let's be fair here," Kilyan said indignantly. "Who's the one who didn't even tell me about Wynn?"
"Who's the one who slept with Avi and broke Avi heart?" Ryo demanded. "When wolf take Avi virginity, wolf is to marry her. Avi was princess, this was custom. Kilyan was supposed to stay in jungle, marry Avi, be her mate. Kilyan left. Avi . . . Avi never same." She glanced sadly at Avi's sleeping form, and Kilyan did the same.
"I never meant to hurt her," Kilyan said. "We didn't even speak the same language -- how was I to know I had to marry her? And when I asked her to sleep with me, she said yes --"
"Same thing as asking her to marry you," Ryo darkly explained. "When Kilyan slept with Avi, Kilyan married her."
"So technically," said Kilyan slowly, "I'm Avi's husband -- her first husband. Which makes you second wife. Which means you have to do what I tell you!"
Ryo's breasts heaved and she glowered. "Kilyan gave up those rights when he skipped out on Avi!"
"What 'skipped out'?" Kilyan demanded. "Her mother was going to kill me --"
"No more than Kilyan deserve!"
"Look, I'm not saying that what I did was okay because it wasn't. I never should have slept with Avi, especially since I didn't understand the true consequences of it. But I'm here now taking responsibility for my actions. I offered to marry Avi and she refused. There's nothing else I can do!"
"There is," Ryo said. "Kilyan can stay the fuck away from Avi or Kilyan lose dick." She nodded darkly between Kilyan's hard thighs and his face darkened.
"I'm not here to sleep with Avi. I'm here to find my daughter."
"Kilyan better mean those words," Ryo warned. "Or Ryo make him suffer for it. Kilyan go to sleep now."
Kilyan didn't move. He'd had about enough of being told what to do by this big, hulking, glaring shemale. He folded his arms and remained seated where he was, his green eyes just as hard as Ryo's.
Seeing Kilyan's defiance, Ryo rose slowly from her seat and repeated her command. Kilyan remained where he was: seated on a rock, his arms folded, glaring up at her. Surely she wouldn't lay a paw on him: Avi still cared something about Kilyan, and Ryo beating up on him would anger her. He felt safe. He was therefore shocked when Ryo grabbed him by the back of the neck and shoved him to the ground with that terrible super strength of the shemale.
Kilyan found himself on his face in the dirt. He pulled himself up onto his knees, but Ryo's heavy body was on top of him in seconds and he let out a choked cry when his legs were kicked roughly apart and he felt the thick, hot intrusion of her cock in his ass: she was raping him! He couldn't believe it! He bucked and struggled and cried out as that massive cock pumped its way inside, but Ryo's big paw covered his mouth, her fingers clamping down against his tongue so that his gasping cries of agony were muffled. She rode him rough and hard, and his face was never so red when she reached under and started stroking his cock. To his horror, his organ actually stiffened from this caressing, and she laughed at him and kept pounding her hips away, her big fingers stroking him, fondling his balls, and stroking him again. He was ashamed of himself when he choked behind her fingers, and squeezing his eyes shut, he actually came in her paw. She let out a gasping little cry and Kilyan realized with a dull rush of anger that Ryo had come inside of him: he felt the hot spurt, felt her dick flinch and relax and his anus close tight again as she withdrew. She let Kilyan fall on his face in the dirt, breathless and whimpering under his breath. He felt as if his ass was on fire, and that guilty tingling pleasure in his cock was taking its time going down. He wanted to die.
"Now Kilyan too tired to sit up and stare at Ryo," said his attacker somewhere behind him, and he had the sick feeling that she was lustily eying his tight ass cheeks. She stuck a playful finger in his sore anus, ignoring his pained grunt when she added, "Kilyan go to sleep. Maybe he dream of Ryo paw on his cock. Sleep tight, tight ass." She laughed, and Kilyan ground his teeth when that big paw drummed his ass cheeks. But she was right: he was so miserable and tired after the sudden assault that he didn't even roll out his sleeping furs and fell asleep right where he was.
