Dragon Slayer? Chapter 5

He's running in hopes to save her. He was detained by two dragons, both dying by each others sword. Kel has no idea how that happened as they seem to impale each other with the others sword.

Simon had to reach her before they killed her.

Those who were the so called representatives were already killed as to show the kingdoms the dragons intent to go to war. They had tried to make it to them only to arrive too late as they heard their death throes.

Azuel was taken and he had hope for help. Yet it was him and his friend the wolf warrior, maybe for the last time.

He didn't even want to be here in this stupid kingdom of the anthro dragons.

They hated him with a passion. It also didn't help he was a dragonslayer.

Yet he was dragged here with the threat of the destruction to his town.

Two more guards came out with lances. They look to impale him as he runs full sprint at them. Kel is shouting something as he ignores it and actually slides under their attacks as both miss by a hair thin as he feels the air of the blades.

He is up and running again as they turn to pursue and Kel attacks them from behind.

He had to get to her, otherwise she would not see tomorrow.

Being dragged against his will was not fun. With that threat from that one kingdom of Heli Berg, he was here to show the power of the slayer. He said yes to it after some soldiers were left for threat purpose. He figure they would all be dead because of Fira or sex slaves to Estess. Yeah he needed them to think he gave up.

It didn't stop him from trying to run twice as Kel laughed each time at Simon's plight. Now here he was riding with two other soldiers and Kel. The nobles that came asked Kel to keep Simon in line. Kel told them to fuck off saying he is here to keep him alive, not to stop him from doing something any sane fur would do....run.

Kel laughed both times seeing how pissef Simon was as they brought him back.

It would not be long before they arrived at the kingdom. They could see the sea of flowers unlike any they had seen before. Simon was sneezing the whole time as Kel laughed, saying he never sneezed over flowers.

Yet as they got closer, he saw an anthro dragon begin attacked by some warriors. As if he had no real thought about it, he charged and tried to stop it.

Kel told a noble. "That is why you drag him along. Eventually, he runs in head first and gets the job done. You don't have to ask him. He will do the right thing when it is time."

It seem the dragons were fair game when they left the safety of their borders.

Small wonder why dragons hated furs and humans so much. They attacked for the dumbest reasons.

Simon tries to do an attack Kel always does, jumping off his horse and tackling them all. This fails in so many ways as he over shoots them and lands face first in the mud. Yet the warriors end up tripping on him and falling.

The adventures got mad at Simon attempts at heroics as a panther warrior picks up Simon as if he was a ragdoll.

The dragon sees them busy and attacks as the warriors are unprepared for this and are killed off. Some are barely able to escape the dragon's wrath.

Simon is on the ground forgotten by all until they're gone. Kel is coming up as the dragon, which now Simon sees it is not a male dragon but a female by her breast that hang out from her shal what she wears. The outfit she wears seems flimsy but it is strong enough to stay on her.

She growls at him as he tries to explain that he was trying to help. She will not hear of this as she threatens to kill him.

He runs and hides behind Kel telling the wolf warrior to protect him as Kel just laughs saying he's the slayer, do it himself as Simon shoves Kel towards the dragoness.

The dragoness seems confused and ask the wolf warrior did she hear right. Was the feline hiding behind him the great slayer?

Kel's still trying not to laugh saying yes, the great slayer was named Simon.

The dragoness looks at the feline and sees the terror in his eyes and wonders if all those rumors were true or lie made to put fear into the dragons?

Simon makes it to the main hall which leads to the throne room where they took her before the king.

There are guards there but he doesn't care. He needs to save her before it's too late. Many of the dragons draw their weapons ready to kill Simon as he has no weapon. The first dragon swings to cleave his head as Simon dodges it. The dragon looks surprised as his attack over swings it's mark and hits his ally next to him, making the dragon that is hit roar in pain as the weapon digs into his skin.

In that turn the dragon falls into the dragon next to him. throwing him off balance as the weapon flies out his hand and Simon grabs it and makes it past the guards.

A flash of light is seem from under the doors. Simon hopes they didn't use magic to kill her.

Kel takes advantage of the chaos and kills one of them as he runs after Simon .

Simon slams the doors open only to see what he fears.

The so called negotiations were not really going anywhere.

It seem the king was just stringing the representatives along.

It made little sense as it was just to state neither wanted a war. That is what the treaty was about.

Yet the King was dead set on making this drag on.

Azuel was trying to figure out who this dragonslayer was.

He was a coward for all intent purpose.

She would see him always near the wolf warrior. This Kel was strong. He seem to be on the same level that many who fought for the kingdom.

Yet this Simon was nowhere near the wolf warrior's level. If anything he was plain.

Yet Azuel was drawn to him. She wanted to know about him. Simon would shy away from her, especially since their first meeting did not go so great.

She tried a different approach and tired to be friends with him.

It took many days to get him to be at ease with her and to open up.

He finally opens up to her. He was a coward and a fraud. He told her everything. From his first encounter with a feral dragon to the great wyrm.

He tells her about the so called prophecy that involves him saying he was the dragon's race destroyer and savior. He laughed saying what the hell could he do and save them from what?

Yet Simon could not know they were dying.

Azuel had told him a truth that there were less births of dragons every year. They were dying out and they had no clue how to stop it.

Felix laughs a mocking laugh. How the hell would he destroy them as they were dying on their own?

Azuel was more concerned about him being their savior. From what? The lack of births? What could he do knockup each female dragon? Not very bloody likely.

She sees him staring off in the distance, saying he just wanted to live a peaceful life. Yet this title that was given to him would never allow it.

She smiles at the feline saying it would be nice to live that kind of life. Their hands touched as they look into each other's eyes.

He sees her head on the ground her blood covering the floor as he shakes in rage.

He rushes towards the king who has just killed her. He doesn't care how he was going to defeat him.

The dragon king looks at Simon as if he was a fly to be swatted and laughs seeing the feline about to attack him. "How cute the cat shows his claws. Now let me trim them as I did with that worthless whore I disposed of."

Each strike is deflected, parried, and dodged as all onlooker laugh at the feline's attacks. Kel is capture as he is overpowered and restrained.

Simon sees it, knowing he will be restrained next or killed outright.

He will fight to the end. He will kill this fucker.

The swords clash as Simon is just out class no matter what he does the dragon king is just playing with him.

Simon leaps back a bit kneels as he springs from that stance and tries to take the king off guard Yet the attack is parried once more. His sword is sent into the air as he is shoved to the ground.

"This is the great dragonslayer? Ha! You were unable to slay anyone. But I was able to." He looks atthe headless Azuel "and now you... guukkk"

A scream is heard as many realized what happened. His sword that was thrown into the air came down alright right into the king's head.

The crowd is silent as the king falls forward and lies in his own blood as his body shakes until he goes still. All look at Simon some with amazement but most with fear the slayer had killed the king.

Both were happy as Azuel explored her kitty. That was right where he belonged, with her. She had tamed the so called dragonslayer. She smiled evilly looking at him as he slept in her bed after tiring him out.

She fell in love with the very one who killed her kind. No that was not true. He told her the truth as Kel also did in a very humorous way.

Simon was no slayer. He was Simon.

Kel explain what Simon was that way. He was a coward at heart but he will rise to the occasion to help those in need but he never liked it.

Kel smiled at Azuel. Saying she brought happiness to Simon and he thanks her for that.

She looks at ... her lover?

Was that right? Was he her lover? It was strange but true. She did love him and could see a life with him. She had no one here in the kingdom. Her former mate left her after her second miscarriage saying she was a jinx.

It hurt Azuel badly to hear that. She was broken by that. She would wander outside the borders to seek combat. She would so enjoy fighting furs. Then her fun was disrupted by a feline whom she found out was the slayer.

Now he was hers. He was so willing to be her slave. She was looking for a way to save him. She would say he was her slave and try to escape with him and his friend Kel.

She went to the other room that led to the balcony and smiled, bathing in the moonlight. She wonders if this will work. Kel said they had to leave soon, too many rumors were coming out about her and Simon. Now it had made it to the King.

It was no secret that the king loved her. Yet at the time, she was with her former lover. Now she had no one. She had to leave soon. The king was looking to take her as his his own sexual toy.

A loud bang is heard as soldier burst in as Azuel was taken by surprise. She fired off some magic but it was too late. They captured her. Kel was in the living room as he rushed in to stop them but he was outnumbered as she cried out for Simon.

Simon comes in barley dressed as he sees them take her away. He charges at the soldiers that remain behind. After some much needed luck and Kel's skill with the sword, the soldiers were dispatched .

The chase began.

The dragons were silent as the queen screamed in rage telling the guards to kill him. But many seem terrified by what just happen. Simon pulls the sword from the dead kings head as some more blood squirts out of his head as his dead body twitches. Simon looks at the dead body of his beloved Azuel as he starts to laugh and cry at the same time.

Kel looks sadly at his friend as he breaks free from the guards grasp. They are to stunned to hold him anymore.

Simon points his sword at the queen telling her she will die this day. All will die, for he is the slayer. He will rid this world of the dragon plague. Kel grabs him trying to drags him off as Simon screams and yells curses at them all saying their days were numbered for their time on this world will soon end.

Kel looks in fear knowing they could rush them and they would not be able to fight them all off, but the dragons are too afraid to do anything .

It was their saving grace as Simon spat out curses and threats to kill them all. Saying none of them deserved to live. That they were living on borrowed time.

The tears flowed from his eyes as he looked at her headless body as he scream towards the heavens.

Simon wakes up from the same dream he has had a lot lately ever since his dragoness had returned. It was the of the trip to the kingdom of dragons.

Yes Kyle had told him he used his illusion on a dragons to fool all there so he could escape with Azuel. Simon was grateful for that yet Kel was pissed as he end up leaving Simon and him behind to fend for themselves.

Kyle said he had no choice. He had to get her out of the kingdom fast. If they found out, they all would have been dead. Kel hated it.

Simon smiled seeing the wolf warrior yell at a cowering Kyle.

Kel also asked the wisdom of staying away for so long. It Nearly crushed SImon to know she had died, but that was a lie. Yet neither Azuel nor Kyle gave a response. This upset the wolf warrior much.

Azuel said it was for SImon's sake so they could wait till things cool down. That answer did not sit well with Kel. Saying now was a better time? Azuel looked away. Simon never pressed for the answer. He was happy she was back.

Yet now he had new fears. Simon was afraid more than anything.

He was so terrified that he would wake up one day, she would not be there but he can feel her hugging him as she sleeps soundly. He is able to get free of her now. He sits at the edge of the bed. Thinking what to do next, the dragon kingdom will not leave him alone.

To many things will go wrong with this. Now he was afraid she would stand by his side when fought. He never wanted her to do that. He wanted her to be safe.

Yet he knew how loyal she was. She would do anything for him. That is what terrified him the most that she would actually take a blade or punch for him.

He got dressed quietly. He had to go to the bar to thik how to keep her safe. He needed to find that place fast. A place for her to be safe. It pained him to think she was a warrior. Unlike him, she was a true warrior. Someone who didn't know fear.

He just wish to live in peace. A lofty dream that was. As long as they lived, he would have to fight to keep his happiness. He would have to kill them or be killed. Maybe he was their destroyer? Yet he had little recourse but to run. Where could he go? She would want to stay and fight instead of running. She had run enough. She had told him she would stand next to him in the coming battle.

There was something he didn't tell Kel or Azuel. The great Wyrm told him something he never expected to hear.

He had asked the great wyrm what made him special? Why was he the one given such a duty?

The great Wrym lower her head to him as she smiled and told him.

"A mother would know what makes her child special. She came to me to make sure you were here in one piece to receive this truth. No in time she will reveal herself to you. "

Simon hated riddles. His life was one big riddle he could not figure out. He hated everything of his so called life, being told he was some great warrior with a destiny. What a joke he was nothing.

He gets up and heads off to a place where he could think. He looks at the bed with the sleeping dragoness. She was not going to be happy to find out he went to the bar again to work.

The blue dragoness wakes with a start as the sounds of hammering and moving of large rocks can be heard. As the voices of the workers can be heard, some yelling as others seem to be of straining in their labor. She can see the morning sun coming through the window shades. Strange, Simon made this place livable for her size despite thinking Azuel was dead. He was one crazy feline.

She stretches a bit trying to shake the weariness of sleep. Her wings slowly extend as they the slowly shake. She goes to feel for her lover all she feels is the emptiness of where he slept that night. She sighs knowing that he does this. Even after being here for five months already he is a light sleeper and into routines. He still looks after the town he built, also that damn bar he keeps working at. Despite it all he seems to work there as if it something that keeps him in line. She loves him dearly but it irks her that he still works despite all his wealth.

Kel has told her that it keeps him sane. After all he has done, seen, and almost lost it is the only constant in his life. Azuel is part of the blame after falling in love with Simon. Then faking her death to save them both. Yet it had put him on the edge after what happen as Kel told it , Simon wanted to commit suicide. One of the main reason she made the effort to find Simon after hearing the rumors that he was still dragon slaying as if he had a death wish. So much time passed that she was afraid that if she waited any longer he would have moved on. Though it would have came to no surprise as he was the Slayer that many sought for, despite him not wanting to be one. Azuel sighs as she hears a knock on the door. The dragoness rises from the bed the one room house is bigger than she ever thought it should be. Yet she had no trouble in this small dwelling she shared with Simon. The feline seem to know have this building designed for the dragoness size. As she flap her wings a bit inside as if to shake the last of the weariness from her body away

As soon as she opens the door, the white fur bunny in plain travel clothes blushes at the sight of Azuel. For a brief second Azuel could not figure out why the fur was blushing then she felt the cool breeze of the morning air against her bare scales. Azuel giggles a bit and recovers her robe that was especially made for her. Simon had hired a tailor to make her clothes. She was happy with her traveling cloak but Simon wanted her to have more than that old cloak. The robe was made so it did not hamper her wings even when folded on to her back. It also seem to accommodate her tail as it didn't sang on the few spikes on it. The silk was the finest she had ever felt. The color seem to compliment her blue scales as it was sea blue. It was a bit unnerving how everyone treated her.

She expected many to fear her and Kyle. Yet many treated her as she was long time resident. An old friend who had come home. No matter where she went she was always greeted with a smile. Even Estess's workers knew her name and called her mistress. Which unnerved Azuel as she didn't want to be called that. She felt that it was a title she didn't earn. Estess once talked to her about that saying it was nothing as many would have called her dragon or Simon's new pet. Azuel hated that worse. So for better for worse she was mistress Azuel.

She got along with Estess more or less it was for Simon's benefit that Estess did that. As Estess would at times be watching her like predator would its prey. Despite being an anthro dragon she still felt fear towards Estess. She heard the stories from Simon about her. How she was the Elder Wyrm's guardian. She had to be powerful as Kel stated as he had fell victim to her power. Yet Simon seem unaffected by her powers. He had shown her the part on his neck where she tried to inject her venom that would make most male or females become hers. Yet Kel said Simon went nuts when she bite into Simon's neck like a vampire would. Simon refused to go near her after that saying he was not a meal. Simon was more afraid she was going to eat him, then lay him as he found out later from Estess as she wanted him as a bed mate.

Azuel notices the young female bunny waiting for her as she sees a table set for her as the meal already prepared for her. Azuel had told Simon what she ate and he had did his best to get her that. Mostly meat and some fruit. He never shy from making sure she was happy and well fed. Yet as of late she was more hungry than she ever been. She looks at her figure she was gaining weight as rub her stomach. She had carried an egg before but yet she would have laid it by now if she was carrying. Something was different now with the weight she had now. Yet when she thought about it she has had sex with other races before. She had gotten pregnant before this felt different . Yet now she was worried . There were no healers here to see what was wrong with her that specialize with dragons

As she ate she knew she was worrying over was nothing as she thought about it it just that she was being lazy and pampered by her feline lover. She has done little here as Simon seem intent on spoiling her. He was having a new house being built for her. No matter what she asked for he would buy it for her.

The new home or 'Villa de Azuel as Kyle called it. Was being built, much larger than the little home they lived now. It seem to be a grand house. Kel said it was about time he spent some of that money he had. Simon to be honest had nothing to call his own. Yet he rebuilt the town and ran the local bar. Yet he had nothing to really say it was his. Kel had told Azuel that he lived at the bar. Besides the jobs as a dragonslayer he did little else. Kel was ecstatic when he heard that he was having the house , or mansion as Estess had called it, being built. It more extrangent than Azuel thought it should be but she said little to Simon about it as he was more than happy to have it built for her. Azuel had seen the interior of her new home it wasn't nothing short than extrangent. Despite being only halfway done. It was proceeding faster than she thought possible.

Kel joked that it he had a pussy he would also ask for stuff also. Yet Simon told him he would have sold his ass off to Estess to work for her. Simon was loved by all in town he ran the town with his money as many seem to just what he did in stride. Most saying he work to keep humble so he would never get a big head. Yet many warriors held him in highest regard. Simon hated that. He always told them the truth that he was a coward and not a true warrior as many had sought to train under him.

He would pass them to Kel some did try to train under the wolf warrior. Yet many said he just didn't want the competition. Kyle was what surprised Azuel the most over the last few months. For the first time in a long time he look happy. Not just trying to be happy to keep Azuel's spirits up but genuinely happy. He was drinking till the bar closed. Kyle took over living quarters at the bar as Simon would return to the small dwelling he now shared with Azuel.

Kyle though made the mistake of trying to see if he could resist Estess's power. It ended badly as Kel and Simon had to rescue the hapless dragon as they found out he failed badly. She was told later that Kyle was already dressed up in some female outfit that was custom made for him. How Estess already knew what Kyle size was baffling. Simon simple told her don't think about it. As he had told Azuel that Estess had made him dinner once with all his favorite food made for him. Estess was always looking to butter up Simon. Estess had a bad crush for the feline. Yet time and time again he put her off. Always trying to get away from the sex crazed lamia. He was actually terrified of Estess, Simon would tell Azuel at nights.

Azuel would ask why keep her if he fear her as much as he did? Simon answer was simple he was given her by the great wyrm. He felt that it would be bad if he just let her go. Azuel knew he had a big heart. Even with the kitsune witch. From what Kel has told Azuel that Fira was one to watch out for as she had the power to take down Simon.

She in the past has tired and failed.As Kel told her her many attempts had failed with mud on Fira's muzzle.

Yet she didn't do anything to him as of late.

Fira was one he rarely talked about. Azuel had to pry it out of Kel about her and Estess was more than willing to talk about the Fira. Estess seem to relish telling about the kitsune's many failures at trying to control Simon. It was Simon's kind heart that allowed her to stay. Kel said if he had his way he would had set Fira on fire and burn her like the witch she was. Estess added with a smile and cook her well done and eat Fira for her kitten to be safe from the big bad witch. Azuel had yet to see or even talk to Fira aside her arrival in town. Since then Simon had asked her not to look for Fira. The kitsune would seek her out if she wanted to talk to her.

The words filled her with dread what Simon told her

"Fira is powerful. It looks like she had four tails but that is a lie. I do know how many tails she has and.... Just best to let it go I have her word she will do you no harm but please do not seek her out I do not wish to lose you again."

It was than she had received an invitation from the kitsune. She had wanted to talk to her at the brothel in a week. In the early morning so there would be no trouble. Estess would make sure no one would know and especially Simon as it seem that Simon didn't want her to be alone with Fira.

She was brought out of her thoughts as the chief had asked Azuel how the food was. She looked down at the food that was barely touched.

"I am sorry I was lost in thought. Your food is as good as always kind sir." She flashes a smile at the badger chief who looks very proud.

"I am glad you like it mistress. I was told by Sir Simon that you like your food lightly cooked. Your taste is much like mistress Estess." He smiles at her.

Azuel eats a bit more as she can feel the hunger grow from her stomach. She puts off the hunger she feels as she hasn't ate this good since the leaving the kingdom. This extra weight she is carrying as she knows how many times in the past few decades the eggs she has laid have been unfertilized or stillborn inside the egg. It brings a cold pain to her as she feels she will never know the true feeling of having a child.

As she is about to ask for more of the meat the badger chief has made for breakfast. She hears what sounds to be troops. She looks towards the marching troops and sees Ted the Law of the town and his fellow soldiers march towards where Azuel sits. She wants to laugh seeing the large beaver walk with his tight armor on. As the rest of his so called officers walk behind him. Simon had left the law and order to the beaver. She expected the real reason no one caused any trouble in town was because they feared the loyal wolf warrior, the kitsune witch he control , and the sexy lamia who would devour any who crossed the Great Slayer. She rises from the table and goes to greet Ted.

"Why are you here Ted did something happen?" She looks at him worried.

Ted looks around as he tells his men to surround the area. As some of workers are told to keep working as Kel would be here soon to look over things. Most go back to work as some arm themselves.

Azuel not happy with what she is seeing as she becomes afraid for Simon. "Ted what is going on? Why are you men surrounding me?"

Ted looks worried as he looks at Azuel " I was told to come here and look after you mistress Azuel. You have nothing to worry about. We are here to make sure you are safe." Ted says with a big smile as his tail tells a different story as it hits the ground hard and fast.

Azuel looks very mad now as a scowl grows on her face. " What are you not telling me Ted? Where is Simon I wish to see him..." At that a large flame can be seen from where she stands. Smoke is slowly coming from past the town? She could not restrain her panic.. With that she spreads her wings and takes flight as Ted is screaming at her to stay. Azuel mind races as she thinks who would do this. Then it hits her as she thinks back to the fox village where the dragons who attacked. The kingdom must have finally made their move against Simon. She knew this day would come, but she had hope she would be at his side when this happen. She is about to take off when Ted stops her.

"Please mistress do not go Simon will have my head please just stay. The others are handling it now. Also Simon would not be happy if any harm came to you." Ted looks away.

That is right Simon would do anything to protect her. She had to believe in him.

Azuel complies with the beaver as she lands and prays her love is well. Yet as shs e lands her stomach begins to hurt as if something to tell her not to do anything.

_______ A few hours ago __________

Several anthro dragons land outside the border of the slayer's town. Fenilee is quite as he is just following the one chosen by Silaka. Fenilee looks on in anger as this new lover of Silaka has been given the right to kill the Slayer. Yet Fenilee knows all too well not to underestimate the feline. This Simon seems to be made of luck as he seems to overcome every obstacle set before him. Now he is home with those he was told to fear a lamia and a kitsune witch. That foolish wolf warrior and the traitor Kyle.

He is brought back from his thoughts as he turns his attention back to leader of this group. A green anthro dragon named Hadur. Gods he looked like a fool as those who followed him. He just believes he could sneak into town and take the slayer by surprise.

He was at his home where the slayer was surrounded by those who followed him. This was already turning into a suicide mission.

" .. that is why we will win with our power alone we should be able to take the feline down. We will burn the this worthless town to the ground and destroy all those who stand in our way." Hadur states proudly as many nod with him.

Fenilee whispers to the blue dragon next to him. " This is suicide." The blue smiles a bit but both jump a bit as all are looking at them.

Hadur scowls at Fenilee. "I can see we have volunteers to stay behind and give us defense from behind. Where cowards are at their best." Many laugh at this as both dragons just look away with anger on their scaled faces.

Hadur walks over to Fenilee " I will show you what a true warrior is. You can see how I will take the prize and make sure those who betray our kingdom are punished. You three go to the kitsune and kill her and obtain the treasure that the slayer has obtained from our feral cousins. The rest can follow me to raze the town." Hadur smirks at Fenilee " Now be a good child and stay here and suck your tail." The two groups split up as the blue and Fenilee watch them go.

"Well how good are your skills young one?" Fenilee says wearily as he adjusts his armor and looks at the blue dragon who looks so young. Fenilee sighs looking at the young one thinking how few there are in the kingdom. Now they were fighting against the great slayer. The one who killed their leader and now has escaped death so many times. Fenelee will make sure if anyone comes back it is this young one as there race slowly dwindles. He should have a chance to have a child before he dies.

"My name is Cypher sir. My skills are in healing. What good will that do with a battle they are sure to win?" Cypher looks at Fenilee

"Because young one we are going to have to save these fools from themselves." Fenilee watches the group of dragon fly off to what will be their doom. " Come follow me we can only save one group let it be the ones going after the slayer. No flying we walk I am not being spotted like those fools." Both dragons follow their foolish leader as the moon sets slowly bringing the rise of the sun soon.

It is two red dragons and a black muti color dragon who arrive at the witches cave. The black dragon looks around. He cast a spell outside the cave for traps or any spells. Nothing happens expect a dull glow from the cave.

"How could you....?" Fira has tears start to well up in her eyes.

"Fira what is wrong?" Simon confused by FIra's actions.

Fira looks away with a sad look on her face in defeat.

"She is two months pregnant unless Kyle had his way with her . You are going to a father Simon." FIra's voice starts to break knowing he had given to the dragoness what she solely desired from him.

Simon is speechless. As Azuel looks at him with a look of surprise.
