Shepherd and the Lion
A shepherd finds a lion admist his flock.
Shepherd and the Lion
Chapter one: Mutton
The sun shone on the grassy knoll and its resident sheep. Their shepherd, Luke watched from a distance leaning on his staff. His family had warned against this particular spot on the outreaches of their land but as far as he could tell their worry was unfounded.
The grass was thick and the ground moist. Luke took stock of his vista of the surrounding hills and could make out a nearby cottage. It was the futherest from the village and he would be staying there all summer long while the sheep fattened.
Still, not wanting his first day as lone shepherd marred by lost sheep, he counted his flock and began guiding them slowly to the stonewalled pen they'd be spending the night in. He stopped for a breath and looked behind him.
For a moment, he thought he could see something moving among the grasses. He squinted against the harsh midday sun but could not see anything more than the wind moving it. Feeling ill at ease, he moved his flock a little quicker.
The light began to fade and Luke wiped his brow and double checked the wooden gate. Its locks were stiff from little use but it was as secure as the first time he rattled it open. He grabbed a few logs of firewood and entered the tiny cabin.
Instantly he wished he had aired it out more thorougly. It smelt of dust and stale air still. His hay stuffed matress was stiff and had wet spots of mildew on the underside. He sighed, dropped the wood into the fireplace and began preparations for dinner.
With stew boiling merrily, he dragged the matress outside and propped it against the stone. He would deal with it tomorrow. A hard night on the floor awaited him.
Luke wrapped himself up in his furs as best he could and tried to ignore the cold leaking through the floor. He inched as close to the embers of the fireplace as he dared. There was a soft thud outside and he sighed once more; the matress must've falled over.
He closed his eyes and fell into a fitful slumber. Once he woke and saw a cloud of hot breath against the window but when he leant up to take a better look all he could see was grime caked glass. He rolled over and tried to sleep.
Dawn came and with it the impatient baas of sheep hungry for food. Luke rubbed his sore back and quickly ate some leftover cold stew before heading outside to tend to his charges. He fumbled with the gate and the outpouring of sheep knocked him over.
Luke struggled to his feet and noticed the fallen matress against the cabin. He went to pick it up and found it freshly stuffed, he tentatively sniffed it: fresh hay. He flipped it over and found no trace of mildew.
He quickly put it inside and grabbed his staff to check on the sheep. They were all happily munching on grass. He began herding them away from the cottage to another hill. He would have to maintain a strict rotation or all the grass would soon be dirt if he left to their own devices.
Luke's mind switched to the matress. He swore it had gone bad, after all, what supplies that were here were brought by him and his brothers when they first arrived. That amount of hay was simply not possible.
He heard a frightened baa and his eyes snapped to attention but he instantly relaxed. It was just a patch of dying grass. He poked at it with staff, whatever had laid here was heavy.
Luke traced its shaped in the grass and added, large. Very large. Perhaps it was a mistake to come here, he looked around but could find no trace of such a large creature. It was only day two and he had already scared himself.
He took a deep breath and continued to guide the sheep to a nearby field. He sat down in the grass and scanned the horizon. Nothing but wind moving the grass. There was no need for him to be scared, he told his quickened heart.
Something soft rested its head against his body and he idly rubbed it thinking it was a young sheep. He retracted his hand as soon as he noticed it wasn't wool. A lion was rubbing its face against his side.
He was so startled he fell over. The lion laid down and rested its head against his leg. Its large green eyes begged him for affection.
Luke pulled himself back up with his staff. His heart beat so fast that was forced to take a great gasping breath as he didn't realize he was holding it in. The lion sat up and looked concerned with a slight head tilt.
He heard the munching of grass and started to relax. If the sheep weren't afraid, neither was he. What did it want? Its tawny fur was so soft he recalled.
The lion crawled its way to him and pressed its face against his leg. Luke was in awe of its size. It was hiding most of its body in the long grass but its head betrayed it.
He reached a hand down and petted it again.
“Please don't eat me," he whispered. The lion began purring, a deep rumble that shook his leg.
The sheep were beginning to spread out too much and Luke steeled himself and stepped away from the lion to do his work. He paid it no attention and kept moving the herd back into the confines of the field.
Once done, he stood back and felt the familiar weight of it against his leg again. He had been following him the entire time.
It had to be a male, he thought, it had a mane. He sat and stroked its head. He was very soft.
“I'll call you Leo," Luke looked at him and it seemed pleased though that may be the attention. It wasn't very original Luke thought but it would do.
He took a drink from his waterskin and offered Leo some, the lion opened his great mouth and stuck out a pink tongue. He squirted a bit of the water on it and Leo lapped it up.
Luke was starting to grown fond of his new companion. He leant back onto the lion and spent the rest of the day watching and moving the sheep.
As he guided the sheep back into the pen, he found Leo helping round up sheep. He closed the gate and looked at him.
“I don't have enough food for us both..." Luke began and when Leo looked to the sheep, he shook his head a laughed, “Those sheep aren't ready yet."
Leo seemed to think and then disappeared into the grassland. Luke looked after him but couldn't see him in the fading light. He shrugged and helped himself to some cold sausage.
Luke had repositioned the matress and was preparing for bed when he heard a scratching against the door. He opened it and Leo had returned with a leg of mutton. He didn't even want to know where he got it from.
All of the meat had been gnawed off it and it was badly cracked were Leo had been chewing on it. The lion pushed past Luke and settled on the bed.
“First off," Luke wrestled the bone from Leo's mouth, “No bones on the bed," he put it on the floor in front the fireplace. The lion looked saddened.
“Secondly, there's no room for me now." Luke attempted to push the lion off but it was no good. He was too heavy. He stood back and tried to figure out a solution.
Leo rolled over and flattened himself against the wall, leaving a suitable space for Luke who smiled. It was too late for thinking. He got into bed and found it very warm and soft.
He sighed contendedly and closed his eyes. He felt a lot safer with a giant lion in his bed. He felt Leo move around but tried to ignore him.
A limb slid underneath him and he found himself pulled against Leo's chest but he was too tired to complain. It was warm and even softer than the matress. He smelt a bit like old mutton though.
*
The days began to blur together and Luke found himself washing in a stream behind the cabin. It was mountain fed and very cold but refreshing. Leo looked on concerned at what was happening.
He washed the week's accumulated dirt from his skin with a porous stone. Once he was done he stepped out from the steam and wrung the water from his blonde hair and then lay onto a sun warmed boulder.
Luke closed his eyes against the light and let the heat from it seep into his bones. It was shaping up to be a perfect day until a shadow passed over him.
“Leo, out of my sun." He murmured.
A rough tongue licked his thigh and he started. He opened his eyes but in his immediate field of vision was Leo's balls and sheath. He blushed red and pushed against a leg, “Leo off!"
The lion wasn't listening. He continued to lick his way up Luke's thigh. Luke attempted to crawl out from underneath him but a paw held him firm.
“What are you doing?" He tried to push against him.
Leo's roving tongue had finally reached his crotch. Luke started again, “Ahh! That feels... strange."
The warm, rough tongue felt really good on his slowly growing cock. Leo took it in his mouth and sucked and licked it.
Luke gasped with pleasure. He closed his eyes and concentrated on the feeling. Leo rubbed it between the toes of a giant paw and he moaned. The tongue returned and he couldn't take it anymore.
He was cumming. He shot he stringy load into Leo's welcoming mouth and gasped as the rough tongue gently cleaned him off.
Luke laid back and sighed with pleasure. As he came to, he found blue sky above and when he turned his head to the side. Leo's balls and sheath with the tip of something pink poking through the end of the sheath.
He rubbed his hand over the balls and found them even softer than his fur. Leo rolled over onto his back and Luke kneeled next to him. He took Leo's sheath in hand and stroked it.
The sheath pulled itself tight and the already large cock inside began to get even larger.
Just like his tongue, Leo's cock was furnished with spikes. They felt good against his hand.
Before Luke knew it, thick white cum shot out of the end covering his face and chest. Leo was panting happily next to him. He took a tentative lick of the cum from his hand and found it pleasingly salty.
