A Bright Change - short poem
I began writing this poem back in 2015 and didn't like how it was turning out. It quickly became one of my many neglected poems. I finally stopped neglecting it and finished it. This poem was inspired by a recent change in my life for the better. I finally had an environment change after years of being stuck in abusive home after abusive home. This poem is kinda my way of saying it gets better, but not as cheesy. Haha. This poem was edited on 6/16/2016.

The murk and dirt of the past,
Has a habit of clinging through until now.
There comes a time when you need
Rebirth, renewal, reminding.
To have hope come back again.
Introducing a burning desire, to start life again.
The pain is over, the past is gone.
The future looks bright,
But all that matters is the present.
It's time to enjoy what's current.
Life is a constant change,
It's changes may be filled with pain.
Just remember that a new change will come,
And fill your life with joy and glee.
