Zavyn Chapter 2: Playing with fire

It seemed that unidentified pups kept appearing more frequently, and that was getting out of control, furs needed some punishment. In exchange for the human guards, android security units were put in command and without any rest they will keep guarding day and night. These groups called themselves FurFreedom.

Multitudes of furs all over the world of all kinds were outside there working/slaving places, asking several requests like: choosing their own house, freedom to breed when they want and with who they want, have the same rights as humans, no more forced mating, etc...

Their human masters obviously didn't agree with these terms and acted violently against them, sadly furries didn't have no more weaponry than there bodies, had very few guns, felt inferior to their human counterparts and had some unnatural fear for their masters. With all this against them all of them were easily quelled, punishing each one of them, but wouldn't stop until there needs were met. The strike continued for weeks, until FurFreedom made an agreement with the owners which agreed to let the furs go, in exchange the scientist will pay the lost income to them. In this way FurFreedom would terminate two enemies at the same time. The owners agreed feeling that in this way they would have minimum loses. The scientist were obligated to pay them and were left without any money, and had to shutdown all of their facilities, all of the furs celebrated now that all their "jailers" were left out and couldn't control them anymore. The furs left to live some free lives and founded small towns in the outskirts of human cities.

These small towns were completely ruled by elder furries, and lived country-like peaceful and quiet lives. Only here were they safe it was known that furs that tried to live in human cities were murdered as soon as they arrived there. People didn't accept them, they insulted them, sometimes beat them up, en eventually kill them. We furries have something special that scientist did not planed, if we get in real danger like it's a mater of life and death, and we are badly wounded and our lives are hanging from a string, we enter a trance were our animal instincts surge and overcome the humanity within us. Humans used to attack one of our own when he was walking alone, but humans cowardly attacked the lone fur in groups. Human laws punished us greatly when this happened, especially if innocent pedestrians were slaughtered to. But humans know very well that our paws are not designed for that, if we do what they say then our claws will cut and sink into our flesh bruising our paws badly.

The tension between humans and furs grew bigger over time; only the people of FurFreedom and a rare person would show kindness and treated us well. If we kept away from humans everything was ok, and certain tranquility was present.

The year 2438 came, it has been almost three hundred years since the creation of the first fur. The tension between furs and humans is still very present, but we have advanced much since then. Those little towns in the middle of nowhere are now big cities surrounded by lush forests, planted by ourselves with much effort. Some furs like to live on these forests better than the cities, living with their animal counterparts. So much is the difference with the cities of humans, very few have real trees on the ground, since the discovery of the oxygen-producing machines trees and plants have been neglected and tossed aside, they have as much skyscrapers in a metropolis as we have trees in a forest. Humans have also expanded to the Moon for mostly industrial interests, and reached Mars which are terraforming and making habitable for humans, until now they live in enclosed colonies. Some humans have not forgotten the wonder and beauty of nature and live peacefully with us in mixed cities, but only a few of these cities exist since both of our races don't like each other. Some do and live in these cities.

Humans have not stopped aggression against us, they send one in a while attacking groups armed with weapons and come, destroy and kill our furs. Yes, when they come rarely do they return to their human cities since we kill them when they attack us, but at the cost of may furry lives. What humans don't know is that we are getting prepared, our technology is researching weapons of our own, and within a few years we will be ready to confront them in open war. At last we will be free; all that we need is to train our troops.

All furs remember January 1st of 2439, humans sent a missile to one of our most prosperous cities, Gorran, and destroyed it completely and also the forest around it. Humans said that because of the change in year the missile short circuited and misfired. Of course this was a pitiful excuse to cover up their mass murder, and no fur alive believed that lie. We had it when shortly after this so called incident; a human advertisement announced the construction of another massive commercial sector just on top of the remains of the destroyed city of Gorran. This was the spark that started the fire.

We started sending guerrillas to the surrounding human cities close to our own, and with our infiltrators planted bombs on human military facilities. Humans reacted quickly and attacked us with more strength than before, now sending soldiers. But we hid ourselves in the forests and ambushed them without mercy killing every one. Nor we or humans were ready for a full scale war, we needed to prepare and make plans.

All of our cities started the mass production of weaponry; this didn't affect us since we all wanted this war so we could at least be free. The only cities affected by the war weariness were the mixed cities, in here no longer were furs or humans safe living with each other, they had to separate for the safety of both of them. This was a shame since strong human-fur friendships were lost. Now as an example, an ancient file from that time.
