The Short Story of Yin
Hir flowing, dark hair, gave a mysterious aura. As the wolves' eyes gave a frozen, auburn stare.
Oddly, being a grey wolf, with shades of dark and light, hir name was Yin.
Shi gave a grin...
"Please..I beg of you! Miss! Let me live!"
The wolfess's animistic grin only grew wider, pressing the Cheetah's neck into the tree even harder. Shi began to clench her paw around the neck, pushing her nose to his, and hir cleavage to his chest. With a flick of the wrist, shi freed hir knife from it's thigh-sheath, it's edge, now dancing at the terrified feline's neck. Hir large muscles began to bulge as shi pressed her paw even harder, picking up the cheetah slightly, leaving the taller cat dangling just over a foot from the ground against the tree.
"Company regulations...", shi trained off, slightly pressing the tip of the knife into his throat, causing him to gag, whine, and even wet his pants, "I must ask..are you Jake...Hammerin? Accused of three counts of murder?".
He shut his eyes tight...
"Oh come on...I PROMISE I wont kill you..."
"I am Jake Hammerin..."
Hir paw ;et him go, Yin's knife resheathning.
Shi turned, walking away, snapping. With that, two of hir cohorts surrounded the now down feline, firing shot after shot into him.
Yin gave a sneer as shi heard gunfire, turning back for a brief instance to take note of the constant lighting. Shi pulled a cigarette and lighter from her bodysuits bra, lighting the cancer stick. Shi began idly puffing it as shi made her way back to the main road that ran through the forest.
As shi got on hir bike, shi felt a tap on her shoulder.
"You said you wouldn't kill him", said a tiger
Yin turned her head, playfully pushing at the tiger's chest, "No Captain Morris, I said I wouldn't kill him, not anyone else..."
Morris chuckled, nodding and handing hir hir helmet, "Well, you've always been the "slightly" truthful one, Yin"'. He held a paw on her shoulder as shi strapped on her helmet, "Good work agent, get yourself a good night's rest"
With that, Yin revved her bike, speeding off into the distance.
A young wolf recruit stepped to Captain Morris with an inquisitive look, no more than 16, and no taller than around five feet, "Captain, who was that?"
With a sigh, he lent against the tree, "Yin...is one of the most fierce mercenaries I've ever seen. Violent at times, more-so witty..."
The captain went around the tree, hopping on his own motorcycle, "Care for a ride, recruit? I'll tell you more".
With a nod, the young trainee sat in the sidecar, before the Tiger got the bike rolling down the long, dirt road. Morris revved the engine of the hog hard over the smooth, unpaved road, "shi came from a small city, fresh from the military..."
"Are we done here today, Captain Morris?"
I shut my laptop with a nod, it had been about 1800 hours, and we were shutting down the monthly open interviews. Anyone could come into my office, and tell me what they had to offer. Usually, out of the twenty or thirty applicants I had, I'd only usually hire two or three. But that day...I made an exception...
That day, was the day I first met Yin. shi just walked through my door, and sat. Shi was a stocky, but muscular wolfess. Not too tall, not too short. My cup of coffee if you....
--
The trainee cut him off, "Uh..sir.."
With a blush, Morris halted at a makeshift stop sign. "Oh...hmm..I see! Well..."
He began to ease back into narrarating, accelerating past the sign...
--
"You're still hiring, aren't you?". Yin didn't bother using any sweet words, shi got straight to the point.
I was just a bit...confused, confused and thrown off guard. I turned to my assistant beside me, and he gave me a shrug back. "Well...its after 1800 hours, but, what the hell, what can you contribute?"
shi sat back in the chair, before focusing in her glossy eyes on my chest, "You're very ripped."
"Thank you misses..."
Shi spoke up, "Misses, or Mister Yin, thank you very much"
I was a bit...shocked. I hasn't really taken hir as a herm, but, I was never one to judge.
"So, what do you have to offer?"
'I'll be upfront, I'm a small city cyborg gal whose just been throw out of the army because I don't listen"
"Why should I hire an insubordinate?"
"...You do realize your security didn't stop me, right?"
I sprung up, peeking out of my doorway. All three of them lay unconscious.
"Don't worry, they're knocked out, not dead"
I thought to myself, before extending a paw to hir, "I guess I'll learn to live with you, welcome to the Vineland Mercenary company".
Morris killed the motor of his motorcycle with a sigh of that day. He let the engine cool, relaxing as it popped and ticked.
"To this day, shi will never directly follow an order of mine...don't think you can do that"
The young recruit stood up, saluting before hopping out of the sidecar, "I would never think of it, sir!"
The Captain gave a content nod, "At ease, your training for today is over. As usual, this is as far as I can take you to the city. I expect you at headquarters at 600 hours sharp"
The trainee saluted once more, walking down the dirt road into the city.
The tiger unstrapped his helmet, taking it into his medium sized cabin with him. He locked the door behind him, throwing the helmet on the couch before kicking off his boots. He decided to keep his battle suit on as he reclined in his armchair.
"That damn Yin...hir antics have made crime too easy"
He took a look up at his mantle, a small picture of her waving a handgun, "And you've made me, too soft..."
