Pokémon: Darkest Taboo, Pt61
Part 62 will contain some naughtiness, so thank you for be patient with the story. ^_~
PART SIXTY ONE.
O ni frowned as she turned her gaze from the sparring Lopunny and Lucario to stare down the path her trainer had taken, she felt worried about him since he was just a Human. The Weavile doubted he would stand even the slimmest of chances against a Pokémon especially not one as dangerous as Blaze, Oni’s gut felt hollow all twisted up with anxiety torn from helping Lucy as her Trainer had asked, to setting off to find him to be sure he was okay.
Balling her hands she turns her head back to the two Pokémon trading blows, despite being at a disadvantage against a partial fighting type Bunny was holding her own her paws parrying the incoming blows from Lucys blurring assault. The Weavile recognised the move ‘Close Combat’ though from what she could tell it was rusty probably if Oni was to make a guess it was from relying way too much on ‘Aura Sphere’, a faint smile graced her muzzle she could understand having a go to move. Every Pokémon had one even herself, as if to emphasise this her claws extended taking on a metallic sheen to them; ‘Metal Claw’ it allowed her to carve, eviscerate and general slice her way through most things from rock to the carapace bodies of insectoid Pokémon. It sent shivers of pure delight at the thought of what it could do to flesh, sheathing her claws she watched Lucy pick up speed becoming harder to focus on however Bunny had an answer for this by simply burrowing underground until the Lucario began to slow down again.
“ENOUGH!”
Oni bellowed loudly jumping down from the wooden bench, painting deeply Lucy looked at the smaller Pokémon with a confused expression about her face as she gave voice to her thoughts.
“But..But I had her beat?”
The Weavile chuckled coldly a wisp of ice cold air escaping her dark lips as she gestured the Lucario over, frowning but at the same time complying Lucy padded over next to Oni who in turn stamped a foot against the ground. All most immediately the air was filled with dirt and rubber cement as the Lopunny burst free from right under the same spot the Lucario had only just moments ago been standing.
“No you hadn’t, you may have type advantage over her but she has something much more important, Experience!”
Oni mused with a cruel glint in her eyes as the rabbit type Pokémon twisted and spun in mid-air landing on one knee, her fist planted against the ground as she snapped her head towards both Weavile and Lucario she gave a slow mischievous wink.
“I never stood a chance did I?”
Lucy whispered with a sudden deep gulp as she realised just how much Bunny must have been holding back, a mixture of awe and shame began to mix into a cocktail of emotions at the very pit of her stomach.
“Tell me how often have you fought without the benefit of Aura Sphere?”
The Dark/Ice type replied ignoring the question, the answer came from Lucy’s silence as she seemed unable to meet Oni’s eyes, with a sigh the Weavile closed her eyes taking a slow deep intake of breath before letting it out in a loud sigh. This was something Blaze was better suited to deal with than she was, what with her being a part Fighting type as well.
“It’s going to take some on your part but I think we can get you up to spec”
Oni noted firmly trying to sound like some coach to a prize fighter with potential; truth was in her eyes the Lucario’s previous Trainers had done a pathetic job training Lucy. With some time under the groups Blaziken, Oni was sure this canine could become a decent member of the team at least as far as pulling her own weight went.
“You’re worried about Master aren’t you?”
Lucy commented finally finding her voice, Weavile gave a half hearted smile as yet again she found herself staring towards where their Trainer had headed. She could not help but imagine the sorts of thing an enraged Blaziken could do to the soft squishiness of a Human body, sadly this just made her anxiety increase tenfold. The two Pokémon’s eyes widened as the hobbling image of their Trainer being assisted by Blaze came into view, Oni became a blur as she charged towards him tears of relief scattering behind her in her wake. Before Jake knew what was happening he had a nuzzling Weavile for a necklace. Had it not been for Blaze increasing her grip upon him he would have been face planted into the ground,
“Don’t scare me like that you baka head!”
She wailed at him her long rough tongue grooming from the his throat around to the side of his neck, slowly wrapping an arm around the small Weasel like Pokémon’s small backside to give her some where to perch on without throwing him off balance so much he smiled softly despite the uniqueness of being caught between the high temperature of the Blaziken next to him and the icy could breath from an overly excited Weavile leaving an extremely cold trail of saliva with every caress of her tongue.
“Let’s get him sat down and treat his eye before you fawn all over him like some love sick Riolu okay!”
Blaze grunted her words, they were not so much a request than they were a statement of what was going to happen, an Arceus help any who would dared to do otherwise. Couple minuets latter Jack was sat at the picnic table with his Weavile remerging through his backpack for a spare pair of clean undies. With a soft huff she coated the crutch area with a wisp of ice cold breath before rolling it up and pressing it against her Trainers swollen eye, at the same time Lucy was trying to force water down his throat to wash down a couple of painkillers Bunny had given him from the first aid kit in is bag. The only two not doing anything was Blaze who having half carried him back decided she’d done her part while Toph was still sound asleep.
“Lucy isn’t it?”
Blaze rumbled at the Lucario with a stern glare, looking up the aura Pokémon gave a nod of her head as she screwed the cap back on the bottle of water and put it down on the table top as Oni huffed on the briefs as she once more applying it carefully to their Humans eye once more.
“Come With Me!”
Blaze’s tone was clear that she would broker no argument so Lucy pushed up off of the wooden bench like seat following the Blaziken to the centre of the training circle, she was mindful of the hole where Bunny had exited from early.
“Your horns if I recall correctly that’s how you Lucarios focus your Aura’s in the same way a Gardevior channels their Psychic power, destroy that you have them on the ropes......which means as you are you couldn’t protect James from a Metapod or Kakuna!”
The fiery Avian Pokémon snorted disdainfully, with a slight shake of her head she continued to speak.
“Which is why I’m going to help knock the rust off of your melee skills, now come at me!”
Easing down into a light stance the Lucario leans back on one her foot paws before pushing off towards Blaze her body twisting as she launches into spinning round house kick swiftly followed up by a series of punches, each time the Blaziken moved only slightly to avoid each blow without giving any ground to furious assault aimed towards her. As a second kick spun towards her Blaze grasped the foot with one taloned hand while the other grasped Lucy’s throat as she pushed forwards slamming the Lucario’s head against the rubber coated ground.
“Your technique is sloppy; you’re telegraphing your moves way to much worse of all you left your self way to open to a counter attack, now try that again this time leave the fancy kicks out of it as your in to close for them to be of any real use......NOW AGAIN!”
The Fire/Fighting type spat sternly letting go of Lucy before jumping back a few feet in readiness, with a growl the Canine lurched forwards this time not leading with any kicks rather leaning more into her punches as she tried to strike even a single blow.
“Make your punches shorter and from the hip for more power and speed”
Blaze bellowed as she expended a little more effort into avoiding the blur of incoming blows, the Blaziken had to admit the Lucario with the right guidance could become pretty impressive, but right now as she was not so such. Deciding to increase the difficulty level Blaze lashed out grasping one of Lucy’s arms in one swift fluid motion she planted a foot into her opponent’s instep before throwing the Canine over her shoulder and onto the ground behind her.
“Not bad but your still telegraphing your moves, try moving in close as you can, it will make it harder for your opponent to get in their own blows against you....NOW AGAIN!”
An so his plans to head to Forest City postponed as only the desperate or foolish would spend the night travelling through the woodland area of route nine after dark, the thick foliage and tree line along the narrow path threading through this route made pitching camp impractical even during daylight hours. The only other way to Forest City was via the Road Way, a multi lane highway that joined the cities of the region together but with its high speed traffic going back and forth twenty four hours a day, seven days a week navigating it on foot was at the very least treacherous. These facts alone would force Jack to have to spend yet another night in Evolution Town; with this in mind he made a mental note that providing his head felt a little better latter he would pay Office Jenny a visit as promised as he had promised her.
