The great wolves I
#1 of The Kiroth Wars (old)
_I guess, this being yiffstar, I dont need to write a disclaimer and this part is only hinting at things to come anyway - so no need to thump feet nor books just yet ;)
I like trying to write stories that I havent found on yiffstar before - Im not sure if somebody has done a "human and his pack of sentient female wolves" scenario with story around before, but I didnt see one. Just dont expect instant yiff - ill play this out for awhile so it makes story sense, but only to make the fun parts more enjoyable.
Also Im not forgetting about my other story series while doing this - just something else to have fun writing alternatively.
That said - I hope you like this teaser part 1 :)_
The Kiroth Wars - The great wolves I
With a silent groan Kor lifted himself from the ground and into a sitting position. He quickly took in his sourroundings and didn't show any signs of surprise when he found them to be a Kirath prison cell - a hole in the ground with brick walls and metal bars above at little more then 3 feet height, making it impossible to stand up.
In these times of war many humans were randomly captured and incarcerated without any charges against them to spread fear among those that remained. Kor had heard many different rumors of what happened to them, ranging from them being eaten alive to them having to serve in harsh slavery where they would soon find their death. What he knew was that nobody ever came back. Well, he thought bitterly, at least he was going to find out for sure. His mind wandered back to how this misfortune had seized him.
Only a few days past he had been so full of hope for a better future. He was far away from the war front and heading north to Sigil Nu'khral which was known far as a safe haven from Kirath incursion, because its climate was too rough for the cold-blooded reptile nemesis. He was already in sight of the mountain snow line when he had been captured by what must have been a reconnaissance troop of the enemy. He had barely had time to start running when a blunt weapon hit his head and he lost consciousness.
Before he could further ponder his fate or any means of escape the grate above was suddenly pushed aside and he was grabbed by the powerful paws of two Kirath soldiers who carried him unresistingly to a medium sized wooden building which turned out to be Kirath stables.
The Kirath did not use horses to ride to battle, but rather captured Whorags as they called these large quadruped canines. The Whorags, that were known to humans as "the great wolves", were about twice as high as usual gray wolves and were naturally untameable to anybody. How the Kirath had managed it was beyond the knowledge of even the wisest beastmasters of the human realms. Maybe he, Kor, was about to find out.
Without any word, gesture or other means of explanation he was thrown into a large stall and the door locked behind him immediately. Inside it was dark and damp, but it did not take long for him to adapt and soon he could see a multitude of eyes transfixing him. He swallowed, trying to hide his rising fear, thinking that he was put here to be dinner for the wolves, but none of the creatures moved for a long time and he relaxed a little bit.
Then suddenly one of them stepped forward until it stood only a foot away and began to sniff at him carefully. At the same time it kept its eyes locked to his - or her eyes rather, because he suddenly knew the creature was female. Another surprise was his fading anxiety. It seemed like his very instinct told him that he was safe and among friends - or even more then friends, which again fazed him abit.
He felt a cold nose poke him repeatedly. He twitched and noticed that he was laying on his back, seemingly having blacked out. The concussion of his head must have been worse then expected, he thought as he rubbed his head and groaned abit. Above him, with what he could have sworn was a concerned look on her face, stood the same female wolf that had sniffed him when he was first brought to this place. Again her stare transfixed him and seemed to penetrate deep into his mind and soul. It seemed like she was searching for something.
Suddenly her eyes left his and her ears perked up in alarm. Then he also heard the approaching steps and his mind returned to his grim fate. He tried to struggle to his feet but failed when the door was opened and a massive Kirath entered. He summed up the scene with an experienced glance and before Kor could even think of resistance he was pulled off the ground and his clothing shred from his body. Then he felt something tight and cold around his neck and was dropped to the ground, the guard leaving without a word.
While he slowly relaxed abit from the shock, Kor noticed how cold it was without his clothes. Soon he was shivering, his body curled to a ball, trying to keep warm enough. He couldnt help it, he thought, either he would find a way to get warm or he would not survive very long in his prison. He slowly raised his eyes and met those of the wolf who had never taken hers off him for long. He sensed a stange mixture of compassion and need in her eyes, but he also knew that he was expected to make a move if he wanted warmth.
He decided to approach on all four and slowly while keeping his eyes on her. With every foot he came closer he drew more of the attention of the other wolves as well - it seemed like he could smell their interest in him. Soon a few of them and only a little later all of them slowly padded closer as well and before he knew it he was the center of a sniffing and wagging croud of wolves. He tried to relax as he felt canine tongues flick over his face, his sides, his stomach and his thighs. Muzzles seemed to poke him everywhere, taking in his scent while the odor of the creatures around him unmistakingly grew in strength as well - a distinctly female scent.
Yes, its a cliffhanger! Now please tell me if you liked this first part so I can decide whether or not to continue on this story series. Also, of course, constructive criticism is quite welcome to improve - if you totally hated it then make sure to explain why, too - thanks.
