The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, that's how the old saying goes...and yet, taking that first step can be such a daunting task. So many things can go wrong, events unknown and possibilities endless with no indication or warning to them...truly it is a frightening thing. Joshua had left home at the age of sixteen in an attempt to find a cure for himself with no luck and shortly after striking out was come upon by bandits. Josh having very little confidence in himself and finding himself at their mercy until Shina arrived and rescued him, being an Amazonian she was able to easily defend him and sent his enemies fleeing. When she asked him his age and if he was alright, his answer shocked her, surely he should've been in his final stage at this point in life, but when he explained why he was like this, she made a vow to protect and guard him until the curse could be lifted. Joshua looking at her with a moment of realization as he did recall those...

In my village we're taught to fight from birth, each form serving a purpose to make you stronger and rely on that, not the next chain in the link." Josh pouting a little; "Easy for you to say, raised in a warriors life and already in your top form..." Shina seeing she'd have to force him to fight and see her point as she cracked her knuckles and smiled at him; "Your wrong, it my experience that makes me strong...and it's high time you got some more!" Shina cried as she rushed the Braixen boy who grit his teeth and his eyes widened in shock as she approached with fists balled ready to strike.
