Chapter 126 - The Solitary Twin

Later that night, as Chris and the girls rest in bed together, they spent time watching TV while enjoying the feeling of full stomachs once more, with Chris now resting in his boxers and his arms spread out while Serenity lay by his side holding onto him, remaining in the kimono he'd given her and back in her exposed form to provide him extra comfort. Rose relaxed against his opposite side, pressing against him as well while Alicia lay in a slight coil over their feet atop the sheets. For some time all three were content. However, as their minds began collectively diverting toward their stomachs and weight again, they started glancing at Chris warily while touching and secretly rubbing their bulges, gradually feeling self conscious again, and the more their minds haunted them over the issue, the more each wanted to bring the topic up again, only for each of them to feel as hesitant as the other to do so. Nonetheless, eventually it was Serenity who managed to grab his attention, giving his chest a tap with her finger as he laughed at the program on TV, jolting with a pause as he looked at the Pokemon, causing her to glance away and lower her head nervously. "Is... Something up?" he asked, Rose and Alicia looking at the two. "U-Um..." Serenity stuttered in a quiet tone. "...Need to pee?" he asked, releasing his hold on her. "N-No!! N-Not need to do that..." she replied with a flush on her face. "O-Okay, sup'?" he repeat, blinking at her curiously. "Wh-What you say before, really mean it?" she asked. "I... Kinda said a LOT of stuff tonight, to all of you. What exactly are you talking about?" Chris asked with a nervous smile. "I-I talking about..." Serenity paused, adjusting the sheets so she was more exposed before opening her kimono enough to show her stomach, giving it a poke.

"Eh? That again?" Chris replied. "I-I kinda wondered too." Rose point out shyly. "Y-You too?" Chris smiled with slight sweat on his face before looking at Alicia, the snake looking away with an embarrassed expression of her own, showing a scowl with a hint of a blush. Letting out a sigh, he pulled both girls close and gave them a loving squeeze, causing both to grunt while he pulled a foot out from under Alicia and gave her a nudge with it, causing her to respond with an agitated "Hey!" from the act. "I don't mind at all and I mean it! You girls are as attractive as ever, cross my heart and hope to die!" he smiled. "N-Not want to die over it!" Serenity panicked. "I'm being honest so no need to worry." Chris nodded. "You're all as beautiful as any girl could ever hope to be. And besides, I like cuddly girls!" he chuckled, holding Serenity and Rose against him in a way that pressed their stomachs against his sides more. "I might even like this more actually... Nothing wrong with a full figure at all." he assured, poking Alicia's stomach area with his toe causing the snake to scowl again and grunt. "No matter what, you girls are my greatest treasures, and I'll love and want all of you, thick or thin. Both figures have their perks so, hey, I get something good either way." he smirked, causing all three to blush. "Don't worry about your stomachs, you hear? I love em' the way they are!" he assured before suddenly targeting Serenity's stomach, catching her off guard as he grabbed her and started kissing and fondling her stomach, making the Pokemon flail and panic while bursting out in laughter. Pulling away, he grinned at Rose, making the rabbit jolt and try jumping away only to be caught in his arms, Chris blowing a raspberry on her stomach and rubbing his face against it making her respond with the same laughter.

"Mmm... Yep, it's official, I like this even more!" he smiled while pulling away, the rabbit giving him an embarrassed "uuu" sound and a teary look before scowling and giving him a soft kick off her, sending him atop Alicia making the snake jolt as he looked up at her face and grinned slyly. "D-Don't you DARE!!" she warned, only for Chris to grab her and start cuddling her bulging area as well, kissing and fondling it the same as the others making her freeze up as her cheeks puffed out, the snake biting her lip to avoid laughing before showing a furious look and snatching him in her tail. "Excuse me?!!" she snapped, only for Chris to give her a kiss on the snout making her jolt wide eyed. "You're excused, beautiful." he praised with a grin, causing her to stutter and blush slightly before releasing him and giving his body a push back between Serenity and Rose, the two leaning over him and scowling as he lay with slight sweat on his face and a nervous smile. "L-Love you?" he asked, the two looking at one another and showing a dark grin before attacking him, targeting his sides and stomach making Chris laugh and flail beneath them. Begging the snake for help, Alicia raised an eyebrow before dodging when he nearly kicked her face, causing a pulse of anger to show on her forehead as she snatched his foot in her vine and showed an evil grin of her own. Raising his head, Chris looked between the girls at the snake as she released her second vine, hovering toward his foot making him panic before she started tickling him as well, all three causing his face to flush as tears welled up in his eyes. "G-Give!! Give!! Stop!!" he panicked. "Aww!! Look at face!" Serenity grinned. "Poor you, this is payback!" Rose giggled as they continued.

Continuing to best him, the girls had tears streaming from his eyes and begging for air until he finally managed to break free, shooting up only for Serenity and Rose to attempt to grab him together, haphazardly catching him by the boxers and pulling them down in the process causing him to flail while trying to stand on the bed, Alicia's eyes shooting open and a flush appearing on her face at the sight before her until he fell in her direction, the snake panicking as he fell atop her body in the nude causing her to freeze up "U-Uhhh..." Chris muttered, looking up at the snake as she looked down at him. "O-Oops..." Rose smiled nervously. "S-Sorry." Serenity apologized before both looked at his butt with a slightly surprised look. "Say... He kinda does have a nice one, huh?" Rose point out, Serenity nodding in agreement. "W-Would you two quit it?!" Chris snapped in embarrassment, quickly yanking his boxers back up while getting off Alicia, leaving her frozen and flushed. "Y-You okay?" he asked, looking at the snake as she blinked at him before facing away. "F-Fine!" she replied, recovering from the abrupt shock. Giving her an apology, Chris scowled at the girls as both sat with a nervous laugh, the two giving him a collective apology themselves. Letting out a sigh, he returned to his place between them, working his way under the sheets as they followed and cuddled against his sides, Serenity and Rose rubbing against him and twirling their fingers on his chest in an attempt to seduce him into forgiveness. "O-Oy, no need for all the clingy stuff." he point out. "Not want mad, we just play." Serenity replied with a pouty look, the Pokemon nuzzling her face into his neck. "H-Hey now!" he blushed. "Yeah, don't be mad. Just havin' some fun." Rose added, doing the same to the other side of his neck, the two softly nibbling and pecking his skin.

Sitting nervously between them, Alicia glanced at the group before muttering "pervert" and looking away again. "What was that?" Chris asked. "I-I said pervert!!" Alicia snapped, causing him to jolt. "H-How am I a pervert?!" he asked. "Everybody wants to call me that now." he added, Serenity looking away with a nervous laugh while Rose blinked curiously. "You were the one who was...!!" Alicia paused, glancing away with an embarrassed blush. "...What? I was what?" Chris scowled, the snake glancing at him a second time. "H-Hard..." she point out. "Eh...?" he asked, somewhat caught off guard while the girls looked at one another and muttered "hard?" collectively. "Wh-When you were standing in front of me! Y-You were... That is..." Alicia tried to explain. "Wh-What kind of male gets that way being picked on?!" she asked, Chris giving her a bewildered look while the girls took notice of a lump in the sheets below him and looked at one another for a moment before showing a sly grin and pressing against his sides. "Teasing you made you that way...? We really ARE compatible." Rose giggled. "It good to know for me too! That very interesting..." Serenity added while rubbing his chest. "Naughty naughty pervert." she teased. "I-I am not!!" Chris snapped, turning red and sitting up. "Oh no, now you stay down!" Serenity ordered while pulling him back, both she and Rose using their arms and legs to pin him between them. "H-How can your libido be THIS strong after mating with THREE females...?" Alicia suddenly asked, her voice sounding strangely muffled causing Chris to raise his head curiously and jolt when he saw Alicia's head sticking up from under the sheets, having slithered beneath from the foot of the bed. "H-H-Hey!! Outta there!!" Chris panicked, Serenity and Rose using their legs to keep his spread and pinned. "How it look?" Serenity grinned. "Sh-Shocking..." Alicia replied.

"Is it big?" Rose asked with a giggle. "A-Amazingly so..." the snake affirmed. "W-Would you girls quit it?! What's getting into you?!" Chris asked, trying to struggle against them. "L-Like you said, we just did it!" he added. "Well, can do again..." Serenity giggled while slipping open the chest of her kimono and pressing against him. "Wa-Wa-Wa...?!" Chris stuttered. "Yeah... And if we do it again, you could always use the other option since the back door is out for a lil' bit..." Rose hinted with a giggle. "S-Seriously?!" he asked, jolting when he felt Alicia's vines heading up the legs of his boxers. "W-Woah now! J-Just hold up!" he panicked, struggling again. "I really starting to like doing this to him." Serenity grinned. "It's cute seeing him act this way." Rose agreed. "I-I said hold up!! I thought doing this together wasn't your thing?!" he asked. "Wh-What about you Alicia? You hated it the most right?!" he added, only to feel the familiar sensation of her snout pressing between his legs, causing him to jolt wide eyed with an "EH?!" of surprise. "W-Well... I did say it was alright..." she replied from under the sheets. Remaining bewildered, Chris continued looking at the girls with repeated "Eh?!" noises of surprise. For some reason, there was something inside the girls driving them back into a state of heat, with Chris feeling all three of them breathing heavily and acting almost animalistic as they rubbed and pressed against him. Continuing to try reasoning with the girls and coax them against their actions, it wasn't long until their hormones and greed got the better of the situation, leading Serenity and Rose into climbing atop his body while Alicia focused on her own target beneath the sheets.

Cuddling, fondling, and making out with Chris, the girls overwhelmed him with their cravings, all of his actions and words from the day likely what returned them to their frenzied state of desire. Looking as if drowning him with affection, over time they managed to satiate their needs, all of them eventually laying in a satisfied state around him. Once they had all fallen asleep, Chris took the opportunity to escape their clutches, pulling free of Serenity and Rose who clung to his sides and scooting out from beneath Alicia, cautiously inching toward the side of the bed before fixing his boxers they'd all but ripped from him. Letting out a sigh of relief, he glanced back at the girls and thought "Pokemon are scary..." before slumping with a weary groan, rubbing his back as though they'd nearly taken his life away. Once he'd recovered enough, he stood and stretched back, popping his spine before showing a euphoric look with a second sigh, muttering "there we go" and looking around, noticing his coat he'd put on the back of their recliner. Raising an eyebrow, he remembered the object he'd felt in his pocket and decided to take a look. Walking over, he rummaged in his coat and retrieved the item, finding a small box causing him to blink with an "eh?" while looking it over. Double checking on the girls, he sat on the couch with his coat at his side, looking the box over a second time before fidgeting with the lid. Wondering if it was safe to open, he glanced at the girls a third time, wondering if one of them had slipped him a present when he wasn't looking before cautiously lifting the lid, peeking inside while doing so before fully removing it and finding a tiny disk within.

"...Eh?" he muttered, taking the object out and looking it over. Confused, he checked the box for more, finding a folded up piece of paper taped beneath the lid. Taking it out, he unfolded the sheet and started reading the message. "This is a program my father developed..." he began, reading in a hushed voice. "Put the disk in your dex device, it will automatically install the program. Use it to keep tabs on the Shadow Matter your Pokemon emits." he went on, looking at the disk again before continuing. "It's the same technology we use in our glasses to reveal Shadow Matter, so there's no harm to your device, nor' your Pokemon when in use. It's a fairly simple program you access the same way you access any other on your dex, it's the same as scanning for a Pokemon in the wild for example." the note explained. "Take caution when interacting with the Shadow Matter, if it's really a sentient being, if it truly comprehends what others say, there's no telling how it may react, what it may do, should you use this software as a bridge to communicate with it directly. Our hope is that you may be able to train it, or rather, teach it, as is possible with any normal Pokemon, though this may just be a selfish desire on our part to see if there can really be more to Shadow Matter than our research revealed so long ago, if it can really be... Good, that is, beneficial, for more than mere conquest, for something beyond that of wicked whims." the note confessed, Chris looking at the girls before reading on. "Shadow Matter that understands people, that behaves on its own terms, it's a very dangerous thing, an alien existence that was never meant to be. Matter that has evolved and formed its own state of being... It's absolutely unheard of." the note continued.

"Up to this point, that Shadow Matter has been a silent and invisible part of your lives, so there's no telling how it may react when you begin directly communicating with it. Such an experience may startle it, perhaps enrage it, there's no telling. So please, no matter what, take extreme precaution when using this software. Don't do anything sudden, avoid expressing too strong an emotion. As we've said, that Shadow Matter still appears to be in a primitive state of sorts. Think of it like a wild, savage creature. Highly defensive and capable of doing more harm than any of us could likely fathom. Tread carefully, speak softly, and above all else, keep movement to a bare minimum should the Matter acknowledge you." the note warned. "I would recommend waiting until you're at a location far away from others as a matter of precaution. You don't want to needlessly endanger the lives of others by trying to be curious at the wrong time. However, if your trust in your Pokemon truly runs so deep that you would trust a part of her as blatantly malevolent as the Shadow Matter which seeps from her being, this warning will be of little use. This disk is a gift, one born of past failures and mistakes, of unspeakable evils that may be able to prove to be the opposite in your hands. Perhaps, through you, we can salvage something negative from our own past and turn it into a positive by seeing you do the impossible. If you can make darkness itself, evil incarnate, a friend, a companion... To make not only a Shadow Pokemon, but Shadow Matter itself an ally... It's a lot to ask, a feat that, dare I say, the almighty himself would forbid, but if you're willing to do so, to try... Know that we have high hopes and expectations for you." the note affirmed.

"It's selfish, and I've no right to ask such a thing of you, but please... Prove to the world there's more to what we call Shadow Matter than my family revealed back in Orre, prove it can be something good, something that, dare I say, can be beneficial to us all. I'm speaking blasphemy here, I know that, but a world where darkness itself can be a companion, where no matter how terrifying it may appear, it can still help us, can still be a friend when we're in need most... I'd love to have the opportunity to research such a world. To research such a bond, and no matter how small the odds are at present, it's possible you might just be the two capable of providing such an scenario." the note point out, Chris pausing while looking at the disk again and facing the girls before continuing. "My family know first hand how the world can judge someone else, be it man or Pokemon, be it justly deserved disgust, or bigoted rejection. We live in a world that plays favorites and is intolerant toward those who are different, to those less appealing than ourselves, or toward those that our ideals are willing to accept. So if you can prove something like Shadow Matter can be good, can be worthwhile, that it can be a blessing, then you'll not only make strides in mending our sorrows, but also in proving to the world that there truly is more to one than meets the eye... Years ago, a lone child was able to reach out to and tame XD001, our Shadow Lugia, our Perfect Shadow Pokemon, with his pure heart, so there's no doubt Shadow Matter is willing to submit to one kind enough. We would like you to be the one to show it's not only willing to submit, but even bond with one with the heart enough to try... Good luck to you and yours, we'll be watching with hope and anticipation." the note finished before reading "signed - Eldes" at the bottom.

Sitting silently for a moment, Chris raised an eyebrow at Eldes name, going through the note a second time while warily looking the disk over, pondering the right thing to do, and how to go about doing it, while looking at the girls as well. With so many risks involved, combined with the risks they already endure on a near daily basis, he debated whether it was even humane to put them through anything else, outright sinister even. Turning his attention toward is coat, the idea of secrecy also came into his mind, wondering if there was anything immoral about keeping an eye on the Shadow Matter while the girls, even Serenity was oblivious. Focusing on these things and more for some time, he eventually reached into his coat and removed his dex, looking at the device before flipping it on and ejecting the disk drive from the bottom. "...It has helped us..." he muttered, looking at Serenity once more before taking a breath and inserting the disk, the drive shutting before it started reading the data within. After a moment, it finally began installing the software, and once it was complete, his dex returned the disk before going into a reboot mode, finalizing the process before flashing back on and revealing a new icon. Looking like a purple Pokeball, Chris tilt his head before holding his dex up toward Serenity and tapping the icon, causing it to flash before the lights emanating from his device turned an ominous dark color, following several types of beeps as if his device was hacking itself before a transparent screen flashed up before him. Blinking at it in surprise, he reached up to touch it only to pause when the Shadow Matter came into view, still seeping out of Serenity as it had before and blanketing both her and the girls like a sheet of darkness, wafting off the sides of the bed like that of an eerie smoke.

Sitting there for a moment, Chris slowly examined the darkness seeping out of Serenity's body, watching it loom over the group until a mass started appearing atop Serenity. Pausing, he let out a quiet "eh...?" with a curious look before the mass started rising until it looked like a cloaked figure standing on her body, looming over the girls like that of a vulture with its wings wrapped tightly around itself. Tensing up, he remained still as a pair of glowing eyes appeared on what was likely its face, the figure looking down at the girls in silence. Remaining this way for what seemed like forever, the Shadow Matter finally made a slow movement, appearing to crouch down while remaining atop Serenity as a misshapen hand of sorts extended from the figure, looking like it had long, bony twigs for its fingers, razor sharp at the tip. Opening his mouth, Chris thought about the note and remained silent as the Shadow Matter touched Rose on the cheek, poking it as if the Matter was somehow curious, snapping its hand back into itself as the rabbit let out a groan and rolled over. Looking as if it were blinking at her, it raised back up and walked over Rose, eerily managing to do so without notice as though it were light as a feather as it made its way to Alicia, now standing atop her as it had Serenity before squatting again, just watching the snake sleep. "Does it do this every night...?" Chris thought to himself, continuing to remain still as the matter spied on the girls. Extending its misshapen hand once more, it gave Alicia a poke as well, only this time it traced its claw down toward the snakes throat and revealed a malicious looking grin on its face, an expression as if asking "what would happen...?" before retracting its hand into itself a second time, as if it were little more than a glob of shadow able to form body parts at will.

Rising back up, the Shadow Matter returned to Serenity, once again walking over the girls as if it weren't touching them at all, seemingly drifting along like that of a reaper before standing over its host and looking down, returning to its motionless state. About to stand, Chris immediately froze just as he readied himself to move, his eyes widening when the Shadow Matter extended its bony claws a third time and started, what appeared to be, slowly digging at its own face, as though it were peeling something off itself. Watching with a disturbed twitch in his eye, the Shadow Matter started pulling at its head as well, as though it were nothing more than dough trying to give shape to itself, and sure enough, Chris's patience paid off when the Shadow Matter revealed the fruit of its bizarre behavior, turning away from Serenity and looking down at its claws while Chris noticed it had a facial structure akin to Serenity's, having attempted to give itself bangs and hair only to remain twisted in appearance, its poor attempt at harkening to her likeness only making it appear more ominous with what appeared to be horns sticking out from atop its head, a haphazard addition to its form made when it was trying to form hair. Reaching up, the Shadow Matter felt its face and showed another sinister, yet at the same time, somehow proud grin on its face before looking down at Serenity and pointing at itself, almost as if trying to say "same" in what way it knew how, watching Serenity's motionless, unconscious expression causing its grin to fade before crouching down again, slowly pointing at the Pokemon, then pointing at itself as if repeating "same..." in a somehow somber manner, Chris showing a puzzled, yet somehow guilty look from watching the Matter's admittedly eerie, yet somehow lonely behavior.

After a moment, Chris finally took a breath before slowly standing and walking up to the foot of the bed behind the Shadow Matter as it remained squat atop Serenity, its attention focused on her with its eyes failing to show a single blink as they glowed a malicious red. Noticing this, Chris hesitated slightly to interact, only to jolt when the Matter raised its head and looked back at him, its head completely turning around while its body remained faced in the opposite direction causing him to turn a slight pale and gulp. Looking at him as silently and ominously as it had the girls, the Matter remained still, merely staring at him before taking notice of the dex he held before himself and giving it a stare as well. At a loss of the right way to respond to the being before him, Chris straightened himself before nodding in determination. "H-Hello..." he hesitated, the Matter merely staring at him in response, likely thinking he was talking to one of the girls as its head slowly rotated forward to look at them, seeing all three still soundly asleep before rotating its head back to Chris, causing his eye to twitch as he rubbed his neck, thinking "g-geez...!!" before clearing his throat. "I-I'm talking to you..." he clarified. "Y-You, get it? I'm... Talking to you." he repeat, raising his finger toward his face "Me..." he point out. "Talk to you." he added, pointing at the Matter before holding his dex further out. "Use this." he point. "I see you." he added, pointing at the Matter again as it continued staring at him. With both remaining still and silent, Chris started to think it couldn't even understand what little he was trying to say, scratching his cheek nervously. Seeing this, the Shadow Matter stood and its body turned to match the direction it was facing before it copied him and act as though it were scratching its cheek with its claw.

"Huh, so you get that...?" he muttered. Trying the same trick again, he pointed at himself a second time. "Me, Chris. Me." he explained, the Matter finally giving another response as it blinked at him, seemingly grasping his meaning as it point at itself and grinned as if ready to devour him before turning and pointing at Serenity, then pointing at itself as if to say it was her. "Okay..." Chris muttered before pointing at the Matter. "You." he replied before pointing at himself. "Help me, you save. Make me okay." he added. "Thank you." he smiled, the Matter staring at him before showing another grin and pointing at itself. "I-I don't think it go that." Chris thought to himself before slumping slightly, the Matter mimicking him again and slumping as well, giving it the appearance of being ready to attack when combined with its eerie grin. Somehow, it appeared able to react with Chris better than it did with the girls, seemingly playing with him in its own way in a Simon Say's manner. After a moment, he thought over telling it something else before nodding and straightening up, the Matter doing the same. "Purify..." he said, causing the Matter to show an obvious look of terror before instantly recoiling back into Serenity, the Pokemon letting out a groan and shuddering under the sheets as though the Matter's fear was influencing her again. Raising his hand, Chris looked at the portion of its aura around him, noticing how unnerved and somewhat enraged it appeared, the wafting blanket of darkness atop the girls now appearing as if tiny black flames were engulfing them, resulting in Rose and Alicia also showing signs of influence as they groaned and shuddered the same as Serenity, causing Chris to show a concerned, yet undeniably curious look from its response.

Able to tell there wasn't any real harm happening despite the girls unnerved states, Chris stepped up to the side of the bed Serenity was laying on and looked down at her. "No." he spoke up, noticing little change in the Matter's behavior as it remained concealed within Serenity's body. "Purify, no purify. No." he explained, shaking his head before showing a smile and pointing at himself. "Me. Chris. No purify." he assured, maintaining his smile. "Me, no purify. I like." he explained, pointing at Serenity's body. "You." he affirmed before pointing at himself again. "I like. I like you." he nodded, pointing back at Serenity. "You, like. I like. No purify." he insisted. After a moment, the flame-like appearance of the Shadow Matter's aura faded back into a steady waft like that of smoke once more before the Matter itself appeared in the form of another small mass atop Serenity, its eyes appearing and staring at him as though it were warily poking its head out. "I, Chris. Friend. Good." he assured, pointing at himself once more. "Good. Friend. Like." he nodded before pointing at the Matter, causing it to recoil back into Serenity before poking out once more and blinking at his hand. "You. You good. You friend. You my friend." he tried to explain, pointing between himself and the Matter to get his point across. "You, safe. I keep safe. Purify, bad. I no purify. I like." he coaxed with another smile. After a moment, it finally rose out of Serenity's body, this time appearing in an all fours position while showing another grin. "I like. You, safe. Friends." he repeat, giving the Matter a warm smile. After a moment, it reached out to him with its claw-like finger out, more of its aura engulfing Chris as it touched his chest before raising its claw toward his neck.

Pausing, something about touching his neck seemed to affect it differently than Alicia, as the Matter's grin faded before its wicked grin returned and it reached up with its claws out, as if ready and wanting to grab him by the face instead. Hesitating, this caused Chris to inch back, making the Matter pause and stare at his reaction before retracting its claw and randomly returning its focus to the girls, seemingly losing its train of focus as it squat on Serenity again and watched her sleep, returning to the state of an eerie presence seemingly haunting the group once more. "U-Uhh... Friend?" Chris asked, relaxing as the Matter maintained its stare on Serenity before slowly turning its head toward him, giving Chris another grin that appeared no different than the others, then turning its head back to the Pokemon beneath it before making its way atop Rose, leaving Chris at a loss of what to make of the strange, eerie creature staring at the girls before him. "I guess that's the core then..." he thought to himself. "The heart of the darkness, the thing that did all that stuff for us. It's creepy no doubt but... I...Guess it's okay...?" he pondered, watching it for a moment before laying down his Pokedex to stretch, letting out a grunt before relaxing with a sigh and putting an arm around Serenity, the Pokemon showing a small smile while pulling herself closer against him for warmth. "I really might be out of my mind though. The stuff looks evil without a doubt but... I dunno. Startled, the Shadow Matter returned to Serenity's body in an instant once more, hiding away as he dropped his dex on the floor while clutching his chest. Having heard his terrified shout, the girls shot up collectively with the same dazed and groggy expressions on their faces, each letting out collective "huh" and "wha?" sounds while looking around. Panicking, he quickly snatched up his Pokedex and shut off the Shadow Program, replacing it with his web browser instead as the girls rubbed their eyes and looked at him. "What's goin' on?" Rose asked. "Sleep go--od. Why do tha--at?" Serenity whined. "I agree, what is it?" Alicia scowled, all three showing bags under their eyes. "S-Sorry. Was on the internet, saw something scary." Chris laughed nervously, pointing at his screen. "...Are those corn dogs?" the snake asked, squinting at the bright screen. "You... Scared of food?" Serenity added. "...You ARE corny." Rose sighed, Serenity and Alicia looking at the rabbit and shaking their heads at the joke. Letting out an "eh" and blinking at the girls, Chris looked at the screen, noticing he'd pulled up a recipe for the popular western meal by mistake causing him to sweat slightly. "H-Ha ha, nah, I closed out what I was lookin' at. This is, uh, just something I thought we could try!" he smiled, all three looking at one another before responding with a collective "go to sleep!" and laying back down, closing their eyes and yawning before drifting back into their former state of slumber.

Letting out a sigh, Chris closed the web browser and looked at the icon for his new program, finding himself yawning and shrugging before shutting off his device and laying it atop the desk next to their bed, tucking himself further in and closing his eyes before remembering the sight of the Shadow Matter looming before his face. Squinting his eye open, he looked around while thinking about how it keeps an eye on them, the manner it does so causing Chris to feel unnerved, yet still insistent on allowing it to stay with them as he shut his eye and let himself drift off the same as the girls by his side...
