Teaser ME: Original Spinoff
A teaser for a current project, one of five in total at this point.
After a moment one of the asari pushes herself up with the brace of a nearby counter. A darker shade of blue with white lines decorating her the features on her face; a practice that many asari used to give themselves a unique look it seemed.
An injury to her left leg made her ease the weight onto it it as she pushed herself to walk further to round the corner of the counter top; she would then find herself in the presence of a lone human. Lessan, that was the name he had given them.
He quickly took notice of the apparence of the asari Ny'dana yet was unable to wipe his eyes fast enough for her not to notice the tears. It did little in presenting a dignified appearence with him huddled behind a counter, shoulders hung with that obvious weight that lingered upon his shoulders that dragged him down.
Ny'dana moved closer till she was able to lower herself down to rest right next to Lessan, a brush of their shoulders as she let her back rest against the counter. Lessan had no words to offer, his mind still reeled back from what he had been through, the distant sound of the ongoing invasion, the screams and bombardment of weaponry that shook Thesia to her core were a constant reminder that what happened was all to real.
Ny'dana however used no words to try and comfort him, a gentle arm wrapped about the fragile human next to her, her hand upon his far shoulder to draw him into an embrace. Her cheek pushed against his dust covered hair, the grime bothered the commando little as her oppisite hand moved to complete the embrace as it joined the other in the embrace.
Lessan who's will was already shattered, barely pieced together quickly crumbled as his eyes flooded with tears once more. No longer able to stifle his cries or swallow the lump in his throat he buried his face into her shoulder as his hands gripped at her shoulders. Ny'dana held him gently but refused to release him as he poured his emotions into her, her deep blue eyes stared just over Lessan as she took in his anguish.
Nioraa and Kaissra kept watch, their minds sharp on their surroundings even as they tended to their weapons. They would make sure Lessan had his time to grieve, a lone soul trapped in the jaws of this invasion, a gentle soul at that which should have never fallen into the horror that was the ground war on Thesia.
