Hi again! I am going to try my whole ACSII artwork idea again. Now that Sofurry can take things right off of Microsoft word maybe it will work now, unlike with YiffStar. So let's see. Also I am now no longer on hiatus so it's time for that surprise I promised you guys. This surprise is a combination of things! First I will be submitting two chapters, not one! Second, I have been working on a Lazz drawing and it is half way done... I hope you guys like it... I will just need some more time to complete it! Also I will be submitting a thanksgiving skit journal on my user-page to see what it would be like if all the DS characters were at one table! Anyway, please enjoy the chapter! XD

"There. Finally. Now all I have to do is get out of here and get to the tower. That is where Rio must be." Lazz said.
"Wait!" Necro said.
"Huh? Who's there?" Lazz asked.
"I am the demon of the night, Necro. I am also Rio's new friend." Necro stated.
"I'm sorry, but what the hell does that have to do with me?" Lazz asked sternly.
"It's simple. I cannot allow you to find Rio. Rio promised me that he would come back to save me. However... I have prior engagements. Rio will be coming back soon... I can't let you see him." Necro said.
Just then Necro unlocked his cell from the inside and stepped out to meet Lazz face to face. He looked over to see his cell door was melted and then looked at Lazz.
"So you are Rio's friend, huh?" Necro said.
"Why won't you let me find Rio? If you're his friend then you should join me... right?" Lazz asked.
" No. Not you. You are only a friend to him... not me." Necro said.
"The friend of a friend is my enemy?" Lazz said.
"You could say that." Necro said.
"Why are you stopping me Necro?" Lazz said.
"There is no reason to tell you... since I plan on killing you right here and now." Necro said.

"......huff.....huff............huff........I see. I understand your G.O.N. now Cross Wing." Yun said while pulling out a sword.
"Oh really? Don't act smug! I can kill you at anytime!" Cross Wing said.
" You are able to instantly crystallize anything that is nearby. Although you look unarmed, everything around you is a weapon. So this is the famous crystal G.O.N. I have heard so much about. No wonder you caught Rock Lizard's eye." Yun stated.
"You may know about my power but that doesn't mean that you can stop it!" Cross Wing said.
"The trap is looking good... the seed of the Octangular Jade crystal placed in the 8 Trigrams 8 square formation. When this thunder storm produces another flash of lightning, the light inside of the Jade crystal will bounce around trapped for all eternity." Cross Wing thought.
Suddenly, a flash of lightning could be seen and Cross Wing smiled and yelled.
"BLOSSOM! JADE CRYSTAL LABYRINTH!!!!"
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
"What's with that crazy pose?" A Cross Wing copy asked.
Suddenly, Yun jumped into the air very dramatically and spun around while in the air to become a cannonball. Yun crashed into all the Cross Wing copies and destroyed them. One by one they fell to the ground and shattered. Just then Yun landed on the rainbow colored snowy ground and as soon as he did another few Cross Wing copies came from nowhere and tried to stab him, however it was no use as he performed a handstand and sent the sword in his stomach and leg upward and caught them with his free hands and stabbed another four copies of Cross Wing all at once. Every time he cut them he also stunned them. They were all shattering just as fast as they were appearing.
" Hmph." Yun said.
(Meanwhile: On top of the communications tower)
"What was that move just now? I can't even read his crazy ass sword work! Hmm... this is unmistakably Cross Wing's Crystal manipulation G.O.N. And it seems huge. From this high up... I'd say it is about a kilometer across. Judging by how skilled Cross Wing is at using her G.O.N. I think it's safe to say that her Jade crystal labyrinth barrier is an extremely tight structure at the molecular level. They are all doomed. Light sealed inside the Jade crystal can never get out." General Andal said while watching the whole fight.

CHAPTER 25: Back to Back, A Fight to the Death!

Rio ran as fast as he could without using his super speed G.O.N. to try and catch up with Cross Wing who had taken May by trapping her in a Jade Crystal. Rio had to dodge various crystals from the air and ground while keeping up with her. Suddenly, Rio noticed that a few of the smaller aerial Jade crystals began to merge together to form a crystal shield and a crystal mace. Then two Crystal clones of Cross Wing grabbed each weapon and engaged Rio.
"Yeah! This is real FAIR!!!" Rio shouted.
Rio ran full speed ahead and clashed with the Cross Wing that had the shield. Instinctively, the crystal clone blocked using the shield and tried to slice Rio back with it's arm blade made of crystal. Rio blocked the attack only to notice behind him the second Cross Wing clone charging at him with its crystal mace. Rio jumped up and dodged the attack. The mace slammed into the shield and became stuck. As they struggled with one another to get free. Rio blasted a mid-sized fireball at them. Just then, the two Cross Wing copies looked at each other and the one with the shield held it's arm out and the one with the mace sliced it off.
"Huh?" Rio muttered.
Suddenly, the sliced off arm hurled it self toward the fireball and blocked the fireball. Crimson pinkish embers littered the air and slowly descended toward the rainbow tie-die colored snowy ground. When Rio landed the two Crystal clones freed themselves and charged at Rio. The mace clone clashed with Rio's blade while the other one attempted to flank him. Rio struggled with the mace clones strength; they pushed each other back and forth. Rio then noticed that the other clone getting ready to slice him. Just then, a gunshot was fired and a hole could be seen through Rio's green vest. In Rio's other hand was his handgun and he secretly aimed for the clone behind him from inside his vest so that it would not see it or react to it. The clone fell to its knees and shattered because of the headshot Rio just landed. Meanwhile, Rio used his long red tail to trip the clone he was struggling with and plunged on top of it, stabbing it right in the chest. The clone quickly shattered into thousands of pink shards.
"Huff...huff... MAY!!" Rio shouted.
Rio proceeded to run where he had last seen Cross Wing taking May away. When Rio finally caught up, Cross Wing was already readying her next attack. Rio saw this and shot off his handgun. Before the bullet reached her she crystallize it.
"You need ten more years of experience before you can challenge me! BURST CRYSTAL FALLING DRAGON!!!!!!!!" Cross Wing said proudly.
"What is that!?" Rio asked in shock.
Suddenly, a giant pink crystal dragon appeared and trusted itself like a snake in the air toward Rio. Rio quickly jumped back and avoided the attack. Then the giant crystal dragon opened its mouth and hurled more sharp crystal shards at Rio. Rio hid behind a large pink tree for cover.
"So she can take my projectile attacks and turn them into her own attacks..." Rio thought to himself.
"It's useless to hide! Don't forget I have May as my hostage!" Cross Wing said.
Suddenly, Cross Wing hoped up on top of the giant crystal dragon and flew around on it. She quickly spotted Rio and tried to crash in to him. Rio avoided the attack and ran past her and grabbed May. Rio picked her up and ran away.
"I won't let you get away! JADE CRYSTAL HEXAGONAL COLUMN!!!!" Cross wing yelled.
Suddenly, five pink hexagonal Obelisks just emerged from the snowy ground around Rio and lit up a neon pink color. Rio tried to run outside of the five pink obelisks, but it was no use, an invisible barrier of sort's trapped Rio.
"What the!? How do I get out of here?" Rio asked.
"Now I got you Rio! JADE CRYSTAL DIVINE PATHWAY!!!!!" Cross Wing shouted from on top of the giant crystal dragon.
Suddenly, Cross Wing held her hand out and thousands of light blue crystals came flying out of nowhere. They were all headed for Rio, and there was nothing he could do as he was trapped inside Cross Wing's Crystal technique. Just then, Rio inhaled a rather large breath of air and exhaled a black fireball. It crashed into all the blue crystals and even hit one of the tall pink obelisks and shattered them all. Cross Wing jumped off of the giant crystal dragon as the black fireball hit it discreetly. The air was littered with black embers and pink and light blue crystal shards rained on top of them both.
"Now that one of your five crystal obelisks have been destroyed the barrier is gone! Argh!" Rio said, but then fell to the floor as black markings quickly began to spread across his face.
"What's happening to me? It's as if Ori is trying to take over... but I have not been injured that much yet... what is going on?" Rio thought to himself.
"What?! My crystal shattered!?" Cross Wing said in shock.
Rio was breathing heavy on the ground and looked up to see Cross Wing shoot her hand into the air.
"GIANT CRYSTAL HEXAGONAL SHURIKEN!!!!" Cross Wing said as she formed a huge crystal shuriken in her hand and threw it at Rio.
As the giant crystal shuriken headed toward Rio, Rio hide behind May who was still imprisoned in crystal and when the giant shuriken hit her, her crystal that trapped her shattered, and now May was free... but was knocked out.
"Why you little!!" Cross Wing said in rage.
Just then seven more Cross Wing copies of her self appeared and surrounded Rio. All at the same time all eight of the Cross Wings performed their next crystal attack.
"May you have to get up!" Rio said to May, but it was no use.
"CRYSTAL WALL, 8th FORMATION!!!!!" All the Cross Wings said together.
Suddenly, Rio and May were engulfed in enormous purple crystals and became trapped inside. The real Cross Wing dropped to the floor and began to breathe heavy.
"Damn it! I used too much... Quintessence..." Cross Wing said.
Suddenly, random sword slashes could be heard and then the giant purple crystal was shattered. The air now filled with purple crystal shards Cross Wing quickly jumped up and sent them all flying at where Rio was, only to find them blocked by a sword. Yun was standing in front of the now free Rio and May once again protecting them.
"I found you!" Yun said.
"Yun! I won't sit here and watch you save my ass a third time! I will fight too!" Rio said.
"Let's do this!" Yun calmly said.
"Alright!" Rio said firmly.
"You two are so annoying! CRYSTAL HEXAGONAL SHURIKEN WILD DANCE!!!!!" Cross Wing yelled.
Suddenly, Cross Wing formed the hexagonal shuriken in her hand again and threw it, only this time it dispersed into hundreds of smaller crystal shuriken. Yun and Rio braced themselves and used their respected swords to deflect them all.
"Our turn!" Yun said and charged at Cross Wing.
Suddenly, Cross Wing formed a giant crystal wall and summoned ten more crystal clones each with a different weapon. Yun and Rio were now back-to-back surrounded by them all. Just then all of the crystal clone copies of Cross Wing closed in on them and attacked. Rio jumped into the air and landed next to one of the pink obelisks and sliced it in half and then used his sword as a baseball bat and smacked it toward the group of crystal clones. Suddenly, Yun landed on top of the flying chunk of crystal obelisk and rode on it as it crashed into Cross Wing's crystal wall. It only bounced off as it left a massive crack in the crystal wall. As the chunk bounced away Yun jumped off of it and sliced it into two pieces and sent them both crashing into the Crystal wall and shattering it.
"NOWAY!! ARGGG!!!!!!! CRYSTAL HEXAGONAL SHURIKEN WILD DANCE!!!!!" Cross Wing yelled again, only this time thousands of crystal shuriken appeared everywhere and began to hurl themselves into Rio and Yun.
Rio and Yun dodged and deflected as many of the crystal shuriken as they could. Yun sliced and diced every shuriken that came his way. While Rio focused more on avoiding the shuriken rather then deflecting them. They both proceeded to do this for what seemed like the longest 20 minutes of their life. After the barrage of crystal shuriken stopped Yun and Rio fell to their knees in exhaustion.
"Why won't you die?" Cross Wing asked and kicked Rio away.
"RIO!!!" Yun shouted.
"Owff......." Rio muttered.
Suddenly, a crystal blade was now in Yun's face. Cross Wing had formed one while Yun looked away. Just then Yun clashed blade with Cross Wing again and their sword struggled began. Yun tried to push Cross Wing back, but she gave in to Yun's strength and swayed to the side to deliver a shallow cut on his back. Yun, hit on the back like that, began to turn side ways in the air and then fall to the ground in pain.
"ARGH!!" Yun yelled.
"YUN!!" Rio said and dashed toward them both.
As Rio approached them, Yun rolled on the ground in order to avoid Cross Wing's second sword slash and held his sword up. Rio saw this and grabbed Yun's blade and clashed with cross Wing. This suddenly force due to Rio's speed pushed Cross Wing back and made her lose her balance. This gave Rio an opening to slice away at her and he did just that using his high-speed barrage of cuts. Cross Wing was unable to block them all and fell down all cut up badly.
"You saved my life Rio, thank you. If she would have cut me just then it would have been the end of me." Yun said.
"No problem Yun! I will always be here to protect my friends." Rio said proudly.
At this point everyone was on his or her knees gasping for air and breathing heavy. They had all fought with everything they had. Blood and crystal was everywhere and just as everything seemed to be peaceful, another copy of Cross Wing emerged from behind a crystal tree and sniped at Rio. Yun's device went off and he quickly blocked the bullet from hitting Rio. Rio noticed that the bullet was actually a mini crystal shard.
"She is good..... She can even use these... crystals as her ammo... for her rifle." Rio said out of breath and shot the Cross Wing copy in the head with his handgun.
"HEY THIS IS NO TIME TO SHOW OFF RIO!!!" Yun yelled.
"I AM NOT SHOWING OFF YING-YANG!!! I JUST SAVED YOUR LIFE AND THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT ME!!!" Rio yelled back.
"YES! AND WHY ARE YOU YELLING? I AM STANDING RIGHT HERE!!!!" Yun yelled.
"YOU STARTED IT YOU LOSER!!! I WOULD NOT BE YELLING IF YOU WOULD NOT YELL FIRST!!!!!" Rio yelled back.
"OH BIG TALK COMING FROM A HATCHING!!!!" Yun yelled even louder.
"WHAT DID YOU CALL ME!? I AM NOT HATCHING!!! DIDN'T YOU SEE ME KICKING HER ASS JUST NOW!!!!?" Rio yelled.
"YEAH, ONLY THANKS TO ME!!! WHY IS IT THAT YOU ALWAYS TAKE MY SPOTLIGHT RIO!!!!!?" Yun yelled again.
"I DO NOT!!! AND IF YOU YELL AT ME ONE MORE TIME!!!!" Rio yelled back.
Just then Cross Wing struggled to get up and faced them both. However both Yun and Rio were too absorbed into their disagreement to notice.
"This is stupid... just what am I doing? I have to destroy Rio no matter what it will take! Rock Lizard has high hopes for me! My wish...my wish is to be with Rock Lizard forever!" Cross Wing thought.
"Hey Cross Wing!" Rio said suddenly.
"Huh? What...is ... it?" Cross Wing said out of breath.
"I can tell why you are doing this! Why you are fighting so hard... it is to protect someone who means a lot to you, huh?" Rio asked.
" So... what if.. it... is?" Cross Wing said.
"Rock lizard. This guy... Rock Lizard. He will do anything to achieve his ambitions. He is a bastard who thinks nothing of taking other's lives! Anyone who serves a guy like that can't be a decent living creature! Can't you see you are just being used!" Rio explained.
"Shut up!" Cross Wing said.
"She can turn anything she touches into crystal, In other words, Water and Earth type G.O.N.s will have no effect. However..." Yun thought and threw a capsule into the air, and when the smoke cleared Yun was holding a guitar.
"This is bad... normally I would have beaten enemies like them long ago. However... this has been a long battle. Judging from the amount Quintessence I have left there's just four or five crystal attacks I can use." Cross Wing thought.
"What do you plan on doing with that thing?" Cross Wing asked.
"Rio! I have a plan! Distract her now! I need some more time!" Yun said and began to gently strum his guitar.
"Right!" Rio agreed, not sure of what Yun had in mind.
"Is that? It is... Yun's broadsword from before!" Rio thought to himself after spotting it.
(Flashback: An earlier event)
The chimera roared again and jumped up into the air and landed on the ground causing a heavy tremor. Yun fell down, but quickly got back up just in time to only get grazed by Cross Wing's next shot.
"I got you that time." Cross Wing said and reloaded her last magazine.
"Hmph." Yun muttered.
Yun quickly threw the broadsword down into the snowy ground so that the blade was facing upward and the handle was wedged into the snow.
(Flash forward: Stronghold courtyard)
Rio took in everything that had happened at that time and remembered the broadsword. The blade itself was still facing upward from the ground. Rio dashed at Cross Wing with high speeds and dodged all her incoming crystal attacks one by one by one. It was hard for Cross Wing to fight back now because of all the fatigue that she had endured. Rio extended his black sharp claws and jabbed into Cross Wing, but she then shattered into a thousand pieces. Then the real Cross Wing revealed herself flying high above Rio getting ready to snipe him in the head. When she sot Rio dead in the head, she thought she had finally beaten him when all of a sudden the bullet passed right through Rio and Rio's body disappeared, only to reappear a second later behind her in the air.
"No way! An after image!?" Cross Wing said.
"It's over! METEOR SLAM!!!" Rio shouted and pulled his legs up as high as they would go while still squatting and pushed his legs down using his speed and force.
Rio's legs made contact with Cross Wing and sent her flying downward. Rio looked like he was standing straight up on his toes in the air after the attack. Rio then reached for his bow and arrows and pulled an arrow back on the string and shot an arrow at Cross Wing. Cross Wing, still trying to recover from Rio's meteor slam, got hit by the arrow in the chest and then fell right on top of the huge broadsword that was still where Yun had left it. Cross Wing was impaled by the sword through the stomach and gagged out blood.
"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Cross Wing yelled in massive pain.
Rio then appeared beside her and was shocked to find himself trapped inside of a red crystal. Just then, Cross Wing got struggled to get up off the broadsword and fell to her knees and gasped for air.
"JADE... CRYSTAL.... CRIMSON.... FRUITE!" Cross Wing shouted in between breaths.
"Help me! Let me out of here!" Rio sounded muffled but could still be heard.
"It's... no... use... you are... trapped inside... of there... until... you run out.... of Air and... die!" cross Wing said in between breaths.
" But how? I saw you get impaled by the broadsword just now!" Rio said, although still muffled.
"True... however... if I... hadn't... used my... crystal G.O.N.... to...create an...extra layer...of...membrane... right when... the sword... hit me...I... most likely... would have died!" Cross Wing explained.
"You mean like how you are going to die now!!?" Yun said and performed a windmill strum and sent a sound wave flying toward Cross Wing.
"NO! I won't let you! ALL MY QUINTESSENCE WILL GO INTO THIS NEXT ATTAC- huh? What's going on? WHY CAN"T I USE MY CRYSTAL G.O.N.?" Cross Wing shouted.
Suddenly, the red crystal around Rio shattered and disappeared. Rio was now free and began gasping for air. Yun saved Rio just in the nick of time, before Rio had ran out of oxygen.
"Heh! It's useless! I have decided to finally use my G.O.N. Cross Wing. You see I have complete control over any and all sound waves! My sound manipulation G.O.N. can be enhanced when I strum my Classic Fender Electric guitar! The more powerful the strum; the more powerful the sound wave I can manipulate! Also, since Rio acted as my decoy giving me just enough time to collect my remaining Quintessence and then mold it into one concentrated spot and then finally unleashing it all at once, I have completely stopped your crystal G.O.N.!" Yun explained.
"What? But... b-but... how... did... you... stop... me... with... sound?" Cross Wing asked as she felt sick and fell to the ground feeling light headed.
Suddenly, all of Cross Wing's remaining crystals that littered the snowy battled field began to glow a neon pink for all the pink crystals, a neon purple for the purple crystals, and a neon blue and red for all of the red and blue crystals. They glew as bright as they could and shone on everything with a mixture of neon lit colors that somewhat matched the colorful snowy terrain. Suddenly however, all the crystals shattered all together at the same time including the massive barrier that Cross Wing set up that trapped them all inside to begin with, leaving behind nothing but a neon rainbow assortment of colors of light.
" It's simple. You see... crystals are formed when identical polyhedrons are aligned in a uniform pattern. I can stop the crystals from forming by vibrating the air with the ultrasonic waves in the sound wave." Yun explained.
"Why didn't you do that from the beginning?" Rio asked.
"I am actually still adjusting to this power. I had only discovered it not to long ago. I guess it just finally hit me." Yun said.
"Oh well... at least another member of BLACKFANG is down now..." Rio said.
The air still littered with purple and pink glitters of the crystals that once glimmered. As they both looked at each other and then the messy battlefield they caught their breath and dusted themselves off. Picking up any weapon that they dropped and reequipping them. Rio was just happy that this long and drawn out battle was finally over. He smiled to himself as the bad thunderstorm began to rain all over him wetting him up all over again just like before.

Wow. Talk about a close one. What will happen now that Cross Wing has been defeated?
