Origin of Sheba
Sheba, Tella, and Art shook their head trying to get used to the bright light of the city they had just appeared in. The flash of Green that was left behind by the Portal still imprinted on their retinas. Sounds of cars, lights from buildings, shouts of Fur's, and sirens from something in the distance confusing and overwhelming for the wolves and dragon. They had all come from lands of nature and they weren't used to this.
As soon as they arrived and took in everything after the first ten seconds all three of them moved over to a dark alley way trying to find a way to get away from it all. Art had his eyes closed whimpering a little as the sounds of the city filled his head. Sheba was standing up ignoring it all and Tella was sitting on the cold ground letting Art rest his head on her.
"Where are we Sheba?" asked Tella
She looked around with a frown on her face as she said "I'm not sure I just went to where Alastair said we should go. Nik said it should take us where we needed to be. This looks to me like a human city from our world but there are anthro's everywhere so I know it's not earth. I'm not sure why we are needed here but I'm sure we can trust Alastair. The thing that worries me is that I think I have been here before."
"What do you mean Miss Sheba?" said Art looking up from Tella's Lap
"I can't explain it Art but this land just feels like home to me."
"It can't be though since you are from our world." Said Tella
"I have no idea what land I'm from Tella. My brother and I don't remember anything before being in the lab up in the heavens. I don't even know if I was born a normal Animal or an Anthro." Said Sheba
Art got up stretching and shaking his head as he smiled and said "I feel better now."
"Are you sure Art?" said Tella looking up at him
"Yes Tella I'm sure. I was just taken in by the noise at first but I'm feeling better now." Said Art giving her a smile
Sheba smiled at the two of them and turned to see more of the big city they found themselves in. As she did she found herself looking at a tall Lion in some kind of uniform? She backed up a little and made sure Tella and Art stayed back. He started to walk toward them his right hand at his hip holding something in his belt. Sheba started to pull at her power so she could use it if the Lion meant them any harm.
When he was with in twenty feet of them and stopped and in a deep voice said "Sorry ladies but do you have your ID tags to be on the upper level."
"I'm not sure what you are talking about sir we are new to this land." Said Sheba still trying to stay away from the Lion
"Are you from a different world?" asked the Lion
Tella answered this time "We are from Earth. So no, we are not from your world."
"Earth...I didn't know they had the means to get here. How did you end up here then? Did you Teleport here and end up in the transport rooms?" asked the Lion
"What Transport room?" said Sheba looking confused
"I'm starting to think you're lying to me. No one can get up to the upper level without a pass or an ID tag. The Transport rooms are where we travel to the connected worlds and they are on the third levels and down. So tell me how you got up here. Tell me or I'll have to take you downtown." Said the Lion
"I used this." Said Sheba holding up the Emerald hanging around her neck
He pulled out a gun and pointed it at them his hands shaking "How did you get one of them. That emerald is from the Delta system and from a people thought to be gone."
Tella stood in front of them and started to growl "Put that thing away. We found it in the Dragon's Cave in a world of Dreams."
His hand stopped shaking but he still pointed the gun at them as he talked "This is too much, you three have to come with me now."
Sheba was getting tired of the talk so she pulled at her power and as her eyes started to glow she shot out with her mind taking control of the Lion's. She smiled when she saw his shock and she said "Drop the gun."
To their astonishment the cop only put down the gun a little bit. His face looked like it was straining to do something. Sheba gave the order again but the Lion's hands only went down a bit more. He looked at her and said in a strained voice "You have power I see. I thought only the royal family could do such things but lucky for me I trained to fight it."
"Tella get on Art and get out of here now." Said Sheba
"But Sheba..."
"I said go now...I'll find you later." Yelled Sheba
"I won't leave you here by yourself." Said Tella walking toward the cop
"GO!" yelled Sheba here eyes going from Red to Green. In a flash of green light Tella and Art vanished. In the second it took Sheba to use her power the Lion was able to throw her off. He jumped on her and covered her eyes with a black cloth. He put Cuffs on her and pulled her up with a slight chuckle.
"I have never met someone with a gift like that before the last time we had someone with some great power like yours was hundreds of years ago." Said the Lion walking her to something and putting her into it
She had been told about Police and cars and all that by Nik but this was the first time she found herself in one. The car moved fast and made her stomach feel like it was going to lose its dinner. She moaned and swayed trying to use her transportation power but for some reason she couldn't do it. She tried over and over but something was blocking it.
It only took a half hour to reach the police station and soon she felt herself being moved into a building were other furs yelled and growled at the cops. Sheba just let herself get led away by the Lion who took her past the main room and to a back one. She was sat down in a hard chair then she heard the door close. She waited wondering what was going on and why she couldn't have the blind fold taken off.
Ten minutes went by before the door opened again and three voices entered. She could tell one was the Lion but the other two were new to her. She could hear the Lion saying "She has power so we will need the shot to hold them back so we can talk to her."
A female voice spoke next "I have it with me but you are sure she is not of the royal family right. You know the shot won't work on them for more than ten minutes to a half hour."
"No captain I'm sure. She looks like none of the royal family to me." said the Lion
Another male voice said "Ken if you're wrong then you know what will happen."
"I'm sure." Said the Lion who must have been Ken
"Who are you all?" said Sheba trying not to growl
"All in good time miss." Said the male voice then she felt something go into her arm. It hurt a little bit but not so much that she needed to jump. She did growl but all that did was make the male laugh and say "I see you don't like this. That will keep your powers at bay for a few hours. Ken take off her blind fold now so we can talk to her."
The blind fold was ripped off her and Sheba blinked as light filled her eyes. She looked around and found she was in a Small room with a mirror on one side and a table with three other chairs on the other side. Ken was standing next to her and so was a Short badger. On the other side of the table was a fox with Dark black fur and shining yellow eyes. She was beautiful and strong at the same time. Sheba felt a shiver go up her spin as she looked at her.
"My name is Captain Maria, you know Sergeant Ken, and the badger you see is Lieutenant Markus. We are part of Remington Police force. You were taken in here today for being on the upper levels of Remington without a pass or ID. We need to know what your name is and where you come from so we can figure out if you belong on this level or a different one." Said the Fox
Sheba growled and said "Why should I tell you anything? I got here with the power of that Emerald."
"You mean the one around your neck? Do you know what that is called or where it if from?" asked Markus sitting down next to Maria, Ken doing the same
"I have no idea where it is called I'm not from your worlds at all I come from Earth." Said Sheba
"That is what we don't understand. Earth is in a Dimension that has no entrance or exit. Only people that can get there are the royal family themselves."
"Drako-Lupus is the one who sent me to your Chain of Worlds. I found this in the cave of a young dragon named Art. He now travels with us and said we could use the power of the Emerald." Said Sheba
Maria smiled and said "That is called the Azmar. Only ten of them where ever made by a People that are now dead. They themselves had the power to travel from world to world. They are the ones who set up this chain of worlds. The Azmar was made so that the royal families could travel at ease. The rest of their power was put into the Transportation rooms set up so some Fur's may travel too. The name of the People who made the Azmar has been lost to us but we know they ended up in war and killed most of their kind off. When we have seen the Azmar show up now day's means that ones who are left form that kind are sending people to our world to attack us. So why should we trust you young lady."
Sheba started to laugh as she said "Are the people you speak of have Blue fur and tattoos on their backs with the power to go from world to world?"
"They are." Said Markus
"Then I have met one of them. His name was Nik but he wasn't a bad fur at all more of a lost one. He was attacked by others of his kind so I'm sure I can trust him. He was with me when I found the Azmar. Also don't call me young please; I'm a lot older than I look." Said Sheba
"I'm sure you must be joking you can't be much older than twenty-three or so." Said Maria
Sheba started to laugh again as she said "I'm close to eight hundred years old. I was once known as the most feared Demon Angel on earth and in the heavens. I was Called Sheba the terrible with my Brother Talon the Death Bringer. Also you think that shot you gave me is keeping my powers at bay then you're wrong. I can feel them waiting to take over your minds and make you let me go."
All three of them looked shocked. Maria moved a bit closer to her, her eyes getting wider as she said "You can't be Sheba. She died Eight hundred years ago. Stop lying."
It was Sheba's turn to look shocked as she said "I'm not lying Maria. My name is Sheba and my brother's name is Talon. He is gone now but he was a Black wolf with Red eyes like mine."
Maria looked even more shocked now and she turned to Ken and said "You need to leave at once...Markus I need you to get a hold of the Queen's guard and tell them what she just told us. We may need to see if this is true."
Ken looked outraged but he just got up and walked out of the room with Markus close behind. When they were gone Sheba looked back at Maria and said "What are you doing?"
"I need to see if what you say is true young wolf. You see on our world there is a King and queen like any land I'm sure but with the royal family they are gifted with great power. This power makes it so they can keep order in the land and over the other worlds too. You see your name and that of your brother is a name that has been forbidden since the children vanished all those years ago. If you say you are Sheba and you are the one Sheba I think you may be then one of the Royal family or the priestesses from the church can tell by looking into your eyes." Said Maria
"I don't understand why you would think I am her. Yes I am around Eight hundred years old but I was born a normal animal not an Anthro. I only took this form when the war god sent me to this Chain of Worlds." Said Sheba feeling less angry now that only Maria was in the room and not the two males.
They sat there in silence for a good twenty minute, Maria seeming to not want to tell her any more until this other Fur showed up. A few times Maria opened her muzzle as though she was about to say something but then closed it again. Sheba could feel her powers fine now and knew that at any moment she could just teleport herself out of the room or use her mind power so she could run. She decided to stay and wait it out. She wanted to know the history behind this other Sheba and Talon.
"Who knows this could be where I really am from." She thought to herself
Finally after a few more minutes passed Markus walked back in fallowed by a tall female elk with long flowing robes. Maria jumped to her feet at once then bowed to the tall elk. The elk smiled and gave a small bow herself then let her gaze fall on Sheba. Maria got back to her feel and she said "Mother Eskey I wasn't expecting you to show up. I thought one of the priestesses under you would come and talk with her but not you my lady."
The tall elk smiled and said in a sweet voice that had a bit of an accent that was soothing to the ears "My child I don't mind getting out of the Church from time to time. When young Eli ran by with Markus here saying something about Sheba I had to hear for myself and see for myself too for that matter. I take it this is her am I right Miss Maria?"
"Yes My Lady. She was found walking around the top level with no ID or pass. She had two others with her but she used some power to make them vanish and we are still on the lookout for them." said Maria
"I see...well first of all Markus you may leave and Maria if you want to wait in the other room and watch from the window then you may." Said Eskey
The two of them bowed and left the room. Eskey took a moment then sat down. Sheba took the small brake in talk to look over the elk. Her eyes were a deep set green like that of a gem, her hair was long and black as night, and she was at least a good two feet taller than Sheba. Sheba could smell something on her that must have been what Nik has said most females wore called Perfume. It smelled like wild flowers.
Eskey looked right at Sheba and smiled that sweet smile of hers they said "Well miss I am told you are named Sheba. That is a major thing to say when the name is outlawed by the eighty-third Queen of this land. That law was set into place when her two children vanished from their beds. So I am here to see if you are who you say you are. My name is Master Priestess Eskey Palitania, also known as Mother Eskey...you may call me Eskey if you want. Now would you let me know who you are and your story?"
Sheba smiled and said "Well as I said to them my name is Sheba and my now dead brother was called Talon. We were given great gifts by the war god but ended up becoming evil..." she then started to tell Eskey the long and bloody story of her life all the way to the part where she left earth for this land.
When she finished Eskey smile widened then said "I see...so you have no idea where you came from before you awoke in the lab when you and your brother were implanted with the sickness?"
"I have no clue as far as I know we were orphaned pups from earth or at least that is what I heard when I was in my tube." Said Sheba leaning back on her chair
"I see...may I look closely at you?"

The bright green eyes looked right into the deep red ones of Sheba's. As soon as their eyes met something deep within the green ones seemed to move. Nothing in her past meant anything anymore and nothing would ever again. No one has ever really made you feel loved so why keep holding on to who you are when no one will miss you and you will miss no one."
As those words passed through her an image appeared in her mind's eye. First she saw Tella, but then she faded then Art showed up then vanished. She loved them dearly but not enough to hold on to then. But then in the darkness of this power trying to make her forget her past she saw one thing. The grey wolf then said "Sheba thank you for helping me when you didn't have too. For that you will always have my friendship and my love."
Then the image of Drako faded but his words never left her ears. It was something he had never said to her before but she has always wanted to hear it from him. She left on this venture to show him she could be good and she could make up for her past wrongs. If she let them fade away how could she prove herself to him? Right then she woke up from the trance and looked away from the elk. She got up and yelled then fell to the floor her red eyes open wide as she panted hard.
Eskey got to her feet and said "I am amazed you withstood me for so long my child. Most furs Sercombe within seconds and they slide into mindless babble for months. You have great power and a great mind and for that I believe your story."

"I could see great evil in his eyes my child. A deep hatred that he himself may not know is there. I think that he may have something evil within him like you told me you and your brother did." Said Eskey
"I think that he may not have gotten rid of his demon but it's nothing I can help him with since I am no longer allowed to go back to earth. Drako-Lupus told me so himself."
"Drako-Lupus who calls himself the god of war?" asked Eskey
"Yes why do you ask...don't you follow the gods yourself. You said you live for the church?"
Eskey looked shocked at she said "My child Drako-Lupus is a fallen king from our land. He was gifted with great power and he started to call himself a god. He stared a war with us over 2000 years ago not caring one bit if he killed the people he had once called his loyal subjects. After some time the royal family made a treaty with him and he left for a dead world. He used his power to start new life in that world and started a research program. He stayed good for over a thousand years then one day he started to conducted projects on other worlds one of them was earth. We pay little heed to his work but he is a dangerous wolf to deal with. If I was you I wouldn't listen to him one bit he is not as good as you may think."
Sheba looked shocked then said "I have a feeling about him but at the moment I am too tired to care at the moment. What I want to know is why I am here and why you are here Eskey."
"I'm sorry well you see I just did what I was sent here to do Sheba. You see only ones of the royal family can withstand what I just did and as I dug into your mind I also was able to see your past and I'm sure you are the young pup that vanished all those years ago. Seeing you are still alive after this much time is nothing more than a miracle I must say. The longest anyone in the family has lasted is two hundred and ten years apart from Drako-Lupus that is." Said Eskey
"So what does that mean?" said Sheba in a bored way
"It means you are part of the royal family Sheba and you will be leaving right away with me to meet the queen. I am sure she will want to meet with you." Said Eskey
Sheba looked at her this time her eyes confused as she said "What if I don't want to go. I have a mission to do and friends to find."
"Well you can say no but I would beg you to meet with the family. They are your family and I'm sure they would be happy to meet you. We can help you find your friends and make sure they are ok and maybe help with the mission you say you have. Please give us a chance to make up at least for taking you in to this jail." Said Eskey bowing

"Good please if you can wait here while I go get the paper work filled out and call the royal family to let them know your coming." Said Eskey bowing again as she walked out the door

"Who are you and what do you want here?" yelled Sheba ready to take over the strangers mind

"I'll be fine Maria." Said Sheba looking back at the stranger "I'll ask again...who are you and what do you want here?"
The wolf laughed again then said in a deep voice "Why not try and take over my mind and see if you know me Sheba Blood Eyes."

Sheba looked over at Maria and the fallen elk and said "This is Talon my brother. He will kill you all if you don't get out of here."
"Oh sister please keep calm. I'm not here to fight with you...well not yet. I only did this because they were yelling at me and you know how much I hate that." Said Talon in a calm voice
"Then what do you want?"
"To talk to you of course my dear Sheba. I am on a mission myself and I know you are too. I'm trying to find someone that serves the war god himself. He is a Feline named Alastair and he has something I want." Said Talon
"And what would that be?" Asked Sheba growling a bit
"Information on a young dragon with bright blue scales. I was told he is traveling now with someone but I still don't know who. This Alastair has power over dreams and finding the dreams of others. I need his power and help; I have been told you were the last to see him is this true." Said Talon
"I have seen this Alastair but he only told me I needed to come here to find out more about our past Talon. Did you know that this is the land we come from?"
Talon let out another laugh and said "Why yes sister I did. I have known for a long time. I was surprised you forgot. That is why I know I would find you here the war god wants you to stay away from earth you know and this is one way to keep you here."
Sheba felt her heart stop and she said slowly "Why would he want that. I was told I needed to prove myself to him."
Talon started to laugh as he said "The war god as he is called is nothing more than a power hungry wolf that can't seem to die. You see Drako has been infected by Chose and the war god knows you can help him and he doesn't want that."
Sheba started to shake as she remembered what she saw in her mind when Eskey was testing her. The look on Drako's Face and she said "I don't get it..."
"Sister I don't really have time to sit here and chat with you so tell me where is the Serval. I need to know where he is."
"I wouldn't tell you even I if I knew Talon now get out of her before this does turn into a fight." Said Sheba starting to growl as her temper rose
Talon smiled again then vanished, showing up next to her. He has moved so fast that Sheba couldn't even track his mind. She found this odd since he was never able to block his mind from her. His eyes grew red and Sheba felt herself being slammed against the wall held up by something. The dark wolf laughed more and said in a voice that meant murder "Sister do not even try to fight with me. I have grown more powerful than you can ever imagine. I may not have gotten the power from Drako but I have found out how to make myself much more powerful. I can see into your mind you know. I can't read it yet but give me time and I will. But I can see a small path left over by Alastair in your mind and that is all I needed."
"You're a monster." She said as she felt herself fall to the ground as Talon turned his back on her
"You may call me what you want Sheba but it won't help. Don't worry you will see me again and then I will take my revenge on you and the daughter of Drako that travels with you. Till next time sister." Said Talon and before anything could be said he blasted apart the room more, then vanished leaving behind a small chuckle echoing around the room.
Sheba wanted nothing more than to go after him but she knew she had to stay and help. She ran over to Maria and said "Are you ok."
"I think I'm fine but Eskey was hit by some kind of blast. She is fine I think but she is may be hurt more than she looks. I don't know what we can do." Said Maria getting up
"Is there a hospital near here?"
"Yes but it would be hard for us to get everyone there and it will take to long for a medical team to make it here."
"Can you tell me where it is please?"
She took a map and showed it to Sheba saying "Here is we are and this is the hospital." She pointed
"Ok then brace yourself for this." Said Sheba here eyes glowing green
In a flash Sheba, Maria, Eskey, and all the bodies and injured Vanished reappearing in a crowded hospital filled with medical teams. At once people started to yell and run around. It took a few minutes for Maria and Sheba to explain what happened and for the others to start helping the injured. For the next few hours time seemed to fly by as doctors and nurses ran up and down the other furs. Maria was looked over and told she would be fine. Eskey needed some rest but was also fine apart from being asleep. Sheba sat and waited feeling like this was all her fault...

"Don't think like that Sheba. I know you meant us no harm, and Eskey is awake now and she already got a hold of the royal family to let them know what happened. Everything will be fine I promise you." Said Maria
"Thank you but I still feel like it is my fault." Said Sheba
Maria then jumped up and then bowed to the round her eyes looking at something behind Sheba. She turned around but didn't bow like everyone else in the room seemed too as a White wolf with eyes that were blue as the sky wearing robs of the finest silk with dark black hair falling down her back. There was a look of danger and power on her face and she smiled as her eyes fell on Maria and Sheba. Behind her were twenty armed wolves with long swords in their hands.
She moved over to them and as she did Maria said "Sheba bow this is the queen of the land."
Sheba smiled and said "I bow to no one."
The queen walked right up to Sheba and said in a beautiful voice "My you are brave to not lower your head to me miss."
"Like I just said I bow to no one not even if they are the queen of some land." Said Sheba crossing her arms
She let out a soft laugh and said "My you are just as spicy as Eskey told me when I spoke to her aren't you Sheba. My name is Queen Reisa and I know who you are and your story. I have come to invite you to the palace and also so I can thank you in person for helping my people." And with that she bowed to Sheba catching everyone by surprise.
Sheba didn't know what to say but "Thank you...I would be happy to talk with you but first I will need your help finding my friends one of them is in great danger..."
Many miles away and a few levels down in the slums of this great city Tella awoke finding herself in a pile of garbage. Next to her was Art just starting to wake up himself looking at her too. They both started to get up from the pile of trash looking around at the dirty and smelly ally way they were in.
"Where are we Tella?" asked Art
"I have no idea Art. I was about to ask you the same thing. The last thing I remember is Sheba telling us to run away then I woke up here." Said Tella
"Same here, I do hope she is ok."
"She can take care of herself don't worry Art. The thing is will we be ok..."
Sorry this took so long but with the holidays time was hard to come by to finish this story. I hope you all like it.
