Mark set his glass down on the table next to him, taking a deep breath. There was a guy across the room he wanted to talk to, but the husky hadn't been able to summon up the courage to yet. It wasn't because he was afraid the guy wouldn't like how he looked, either; Mark was just shy. He was wearing a red t-shirt and black pants that both fit him decently enough to not hide his frame, and his fur patterns were just like every other husky's. Everything was white except for his back, the sides of his neck, a ring around his face and his ice blue eyes, and his ears, which were all salt-and-pepper gray. His build was normal for his breed, not really bulky, but sturdy enough for long distance runs while carrying some heavy gear. That meant everything was toned and strong, but he certainly didn't have the physique of a bodybuilder.
No...the guy with the muscles of a god was the bronze bull he was staring at through the crowd. Mark drooled from his vantage point at the other end of the dining table, checking him out for the tenth time that night. All the guy's clothes fit very snug, even his pants, and the husky was left imagining only the minute details. Big biceps tugged out of a t-shirt that precariously stretched over broad shoulders and a barrel chest, tightly framing a six-pack and a trim waistline. His thighs weren't as developed, but with an upper body like that, who would want to work to have legs the size of tree trunks?
But with a spin on a hoof and a flick of that bushy brown tail, the big sexy bull was out of sight and down a hallway. Mark let out a sigh that he'd been holding in, defeat setting in. He let himself fall back into a plush velvet chair behind him, closing his eyes and sighing again. "I'm hopeless..." he said out loud, growling a little. This was the fourth party he'd been to this month, and this was the third guy he'd wanted to ask on a date, only to get too nervous to actually make a move.
And so the lonely dog sat for the next hour, people-watching forlornly while sipping at a full glass of vodka. Eventually he realized his drink was gone, and that his lips were getting dry. Ten minutes later, he finally decided to put the effort into getting back up. Right paw on one armrest, left paw on the other, he hauled himself out of the comfortable chair and back to his feet, swaying a bit. He brought a paw up to his temple as he tilted forward, trying to steady himself before he fell over. "Maybe...a little lighter on the alcohol," he chided his fuzzy brain. He took a careful step forward and stumbled, but caught himself. As he lifted the other hindpaw to keep going, his balance slipped away. He felt his head pitch forward as his foot swung behind him, and threw out his paws to catch himself when he hit the floor--as he knew he was about to.
"Careful there, pup." Strong paws grabbed Mark's wrists, gently twisting them and pulling them up gingerly without dislocating either shoulder, or hurting his arms.
The husky's head swam. "Uuuungh...geez..." he moaned, failing in his attempt to sound less stupid than he felt. Black spots flew in rings from the center of his eyes toward the edges, making it impossible to see the owner of the warm, hard chest he was now being held against. The fogginess was taking its time going away. "Thanks," he half mumbled while he waited for his vision to clear. "S-sorry about that..."
"S'alright, pup, long as you're not hurt, and you didn't hit anything valuable before I caught you." The guy's voice rumbled in his chest, vibrating the sensitive fur on the tip of Mark's ear. It wasn't too deep, or too old, though for the husky it carried the distinctive feel of an Alpha's scolding. It must belong to a canine, a couple years older than the husky himself. "Can you stand on your own now?"
Mark could finally start to see right as he was asked that question, and wondered for a second as to the timing of that. "Yeah, yeah," he answered, pushing himself off the...WOLF? Mark stumbled back again, nearly crashing into the table his empty glass was sitting on. His eyes were wide, ears flat against his head, tail raised. It was the quickest he'd ever sobered up in his life. Then...the alcohol took over again, and the husky suddenly found himself lying in a heap of fur on the hardwood floor, with the lucky advantage of having a wolf to break his fall.
"You should go get some rest, pup..." the wolf said, shoving the husky off to one side so he could stand back up. "Here, I'll walk you upstairs..." This has got to be some sick joke, he thought to himself as he took one of the husky's arms over his shoulder and ascended the stairs with the drunk dog in tow.
Needless to say, the day after that Mark woke up with exactly the splitting headache he'd been expecting. He didn't go to any parties for a couple weeks after that, harboring a keen desire to avoid repeating that experience. Of course, he'd only been drinking enough to get the hangover, not enough to forget any of the embarrassing stuff that happened. He could only hope that he remembered all the embarrassing stuff, and that nothing was sneaking past his memory for everyone to snicker at behind his back. That wolf...thank heaven for that wolf. He was a lifesaver. Well, maybe a reputation saver. Or so Mark hoped.
It had been almost a month now, and the husky had gotten tired of pretending he was some kind of recluse. He did like going to those parties, whenever he wasn't stupid enough to fall for some hot guy across the room. And they were pretty much the only socialization he ever got. Some kind of dog he was.
He walked into his bathroom to get ready, putting on a black button-up shirt that sharpened his already piercing ice blue eyes, and a pair of black slacks that were just a hair away from being too tight. He rolled his shoulders once or twice, and gave the mirror a toothy grin before grabbing the bottle of mouthwash he kept near the sink.
"I think it would be a good idea not to drink tonight," he said to his reflection after spitting out the foamy saliva his mouthwash left behind. "Getting carried up the stairs once was more than enough." Of course, that got him thinking about the wolf again. He didn't even know that guy's name, or what the hell a wolf, of all people, was doing in this part of the world. Without an accent, no less. Wolves were rare enough to start with, so why was it that likely the only one in this entire state had to be the one who caught a random dog falling over? Mark had never even met a wolf before that night.
Before his thoughts caught up to his senses, he was in the kitchen of his small apartment, putting his shoes on. They weren't anything special, just normal dress shoes, but he felt better wearing them than sneakers, like he had to the last party he'd been to. He had the spiffy clothes on for the same reason. He stood up and grabbed his keys, closing and locking the door behind him.
The party wasn't far. His friends' place was one of a group of detached houses that were strangely placed only a block or two outside the city proper, and his apartment building was right in between. He smiled when one of his college buddies opened the door, laughing with the rest of the partygoers at how long he'd been away, and his antics from last time. There wasn't much better to do than laugh, really. It was better than blushing so hard everyone could see it through his fur.
He moved into the house, mingled with a few people, danced some in the room with the music, and, despite his earlier decision, had a drink or two. He was more careful about how much he drank at once this time, but that didn't keep him from getting a little tipsy. And there the husky was again, just as always. He stared at an Adonis through the crowd, trying not to draw any attention to himself but only managing to look terribly awkward instead. What it was about buff guys that turned off his motor skills he had yet to figure out, but he knew damn well he'd be happier if he could at least walk over to one and say something as simple as a "hello."
His brow furrowed as a girl asked him to dance. He politely declined, and then got an idea. If that random girl could come up to him and ask so nonchalantly, then why couldn't he do the same to a sexy dude? He knew his buddies, they'd never invite someone who was homophobic or anything, so that was far from something he should be worried about. In fact, he was having trouble thinking of why a girl at one of these parties bothered to ask a guy to dance in the first place. She had a very slim chance of finding a dancing partner of the opposite sex who wasn't gay, and if she did he probably swung both ways.
The crease on Mark's brow tightened, and he sighed, letting his shoulders, eyebrows, chest, head, tail, and neck all fall and droop at the same time. The gesture was so exaggerated he looked like a cartoon character. Then he set himself straight, and put on a friendly smile, certain now that he would walk over to that hot male and at the very least give him a greeting. He started to make room for himself through all the people in the way by stretching his arms out in front of him, and it worked to some extent. He got past a couple of them, weaving a little here, gingerly avoiding a step on toes there. But one of his paws got shoved over by someone who wasn't looking. If Mark had been just about anything but a husky, he thought, he probably could have picked his foot up just an inch further so his hindpaw wouldn't get caught under someone else's as they walked. His luck, however, did not favor him so much.
And it happened again. With no warning at all, strong paws snaked over his wrists and wrapped through his arms, turning him into a spring that gently brought him back to his feet without hurting very much. The husky stood there panting, head reeling from the sudden rush of blood. A bead of sweat formed just above an eye, freezing cold to his hot skin.
"You all right, pup?" The voice came from behind Mark after his head had been squished into what could only have been firm pectoral muscles. The words held a hint of amusement.
Fuck. It was the same damn wolf! "Yeah...I'm fine," the dog answered hastily, again feeling like his Alpha had just chastised him. His tail fell, and he pulled his ears tight against his head. "Sorry..."
"Maybe you should try to stop falling over one of these days. Who knows, maybe you'll like it." The wolf grinned and looked down at the husky he held in his arms.
Mark, however, refused to look anywhere that reminded him he was being held by anyone. "It was an accident..." he answered listlessly. The wolf spun him around, and put a paw under his chin to lift it up.
"You're a cute one, aren't you?" he said, chuckling a little. "Love the eyes, so soulful."
Mark averted his gaze toward the floor. He wanted to say the same thing about the wolf. The lupine was handsome, with gorgeous yellow eyes. Yet Mark's face read something much different than admiration. More, it read something along the lines of pained embarrassment.
"I'll just let you go on your way, then, pup."
That was it. Mark wanted to smack himself as the wolf walked away. No, more. He wanted to beat himself with something heavy and blunt, to knock some sense into his stupid head. He just couldn't do anything right, not even get caught by a striking specimen of a male. The one wolf in the entire damn city, saves the ass of a bumbling husky not once, but twice, in the course of two nights, a month apart from each other.
Mark's hangover the morning after that party was just as bad as it always was. He yawned and stretched, briefly glad a friend had walked him back to his place, and threw back the blankets. He sat up and a paw scratched at his belly, his eyes fighting against the repeated throbbing of his brain to recognize where everything was in his own bedroom. His own tiny bedroom, even. He swung one leg off the bed, then the other, and steadied himself on the windowsill to stand up, growling at the sunlight that stabbed into his sensitive eyes. "Go away, you damn ball of fire..."
He sluggishly made his way to the bathroom, paying just enough attention not to fall or run into something. The sound of the hot water knob on the shower squeaking when it was turned on screamed through his head like a pup's whine for its mother. "Shut up, you piece of crap," he barked at it, yanking the knob for the cold water more quickly so it couldn't screech the same way.
He toweled off lazily after his shower, since he didn't have anything to do other than laze around. It was the same way the next couple of days, too, though they were free of hangovers since Mark never drank alone. Predictably, he got lonely again, and even faster this time. Less than a week after the last fiasco, the husky wanted to go to another party.
"I'm such an idiot," he said as he buttoned up a deep red dress shirt in front of his mirror. He didn't bother telling himself not to drink, though he thought about as he tucked the shirt into his black slacks and buckled the leather belt. He walked out into the kitchen to put his shoes on, the same ones he'd worn to the last party, and locked the door behind him.
Same walk down the street, same greeting at the door, same complicated process of shuffling in between people until he found someplace comfortable. At least one thing did change; Mark was drinking a bottle of soda tonight. He averted his eyes from anyone attractive, trying not to disappoint himself yet again, but found himself bored easily.
After setting his soda down on a side table, he started to mingle with the crowd, laughing with some familiar faces and avoiding others he'd rather have forgotten, and still not letting his gaze linger on any hunks. He talked with his old friends, and with his newer friends from his college days, and introduced a couple people to each other when he thought they might get along.
Abruptly, Mark heard rushing past his ear, just out of sight. He reached out with both arms, spinning around, and grunted as both paws were yanked to the floor by a large, grayish object that was much heavier than it looked. The husky's eyes widened, and his tail stood straight. By some miracle, he'd just caught the wolf, in a comical reversal of the normal roles. The dog relaxed as he did something he never thought he would, and pulled the wolf close to his chest.
"You should try to keep your balance, cub," Mark said with a grin, and the lightest chuckle.
The wolf just growled, trying not to look as emasculated as he was feeling. "That's my line, pup," he answered, wrapping both arms around the husky to keep from slumping over any further.
Mark repositioned his paws to support the wolf better, and struggled to help the lupine get to his feet. The guy was a gray wolf, and was obviously built to be powerful. There wasn't a single soft spot on his whole body, and he was densely packed with firm, taut muscle. He didn't look like a bodybuilder anymore than the husky did, but the wolf was definitely in better shape. His fur was mostly white, like Mark's. Above the wolf's muzzle was darker, a sort of ashen gray flecked with white. His eyebrows were lighter, and the tips of his ears, but the darker fur ran all the way down his back, and across the top of his tail almost to the tip.
"Is there a reason you're holding me so tight, pup? Not that I'm complaining."
The lupine's comment brought Mark quickly back to reality, where he realized he'd zoned out while hungrily looking the wolf over like a piece of meat. The husky loosened his grip, a little sad to let such a catch have any freedom to run off. "What's your name, anyway?" he asked, now genuinely interested in the handsome fellow he still held in his paws.
"I'm Ash. Nice to meet you," the wolf answered, trying to alleviate himself of the awkward situation of being restrained by a guy shorter than him, and having a much harder time of it than he would have liked.
"I'm Mark," the husky replied. "Oh!" Finally, he let go of Ash. He hadn't even realized what he was doing. "Sorry for that..."
"Quit blushing, pup. And it's fine." Ash smiled, a gesture that made his stunning features look even better. "I never thought you would have been the one to ever catch me," he said, laughing a little. "Ironic."
"Just a bit," Mark said, laughing himself. Oddly, he wasn't as tense as before. "Then again, I haven't been drinking tonight. You haven't had a chance to be there when I tripped."
"Then let me be there when you fall," Ash said softly.
"F-fall?" The husky barely had time to ask before the wolf's muzzle was suddenly looming over him. Ash licked gently over Mark's lips, lupine tongue caressing the tip of the husky's snout. The dog shuddered, trying not to whimper. He opened his mouth, and did the same to the wolf, but much more submissively. His tongue was back in only a moment later, nothing like Ash's sensual gesture.
The wolf smiled again, and gave the dog a strong-armed hug with another lick to his snout. "I've got to go for tonight, but let me give you my info so you can talk to me next time you get lonely."
Mark fumbled for his phone as if he'd never used his paws before in his life, and hurriedly punched in Ash's phone number, email address, and online name for instant messaging. "You want mine t-too?" he asked, trying not to stutter.
"Yeah, that would be great," Ash said with a goofy grin that softened some of the wolf-ish features. It almost made him look like just another husky. The wolf grabbed his own cell and took down everything the husky told him, after asking the dog to repeat a couple things because he was too nervous to speak straight.
"So...when can I call you?" Mark asked.
"Whenever you feel like it, pup. If I'm busy, I'll tell you when I'll be able to call you back, all right?" He threw an arm around Mark's neck, and pulled him in to give him a noogie. "And don't fall over again unless I'm there to catch you, got it?" Ash laughed.
"Hey, stop that!" Mark ducked under the arm to get out of the uncomfortable head rubbing, and started laughing himself. "I won't fall over if you don't, Ash."
"Good. I'll see you Friday night, then."
"Wait, Friday? But I don't--" Mark stopped in the middle of that sentence.
"You don't what, pup?"
"I didn't," the husky corrected himself, "know what I was doing Friday night." He beamed up at Ash, looking every bit as the wolf had a moment before. "I can't wait, Ash."
"Neither can I. Dinner and a movie, my treat. And you'd better call me before then too, got it?"
"Got it, sexy."
"Great!" Ash took a step toward the door, then looked back over his shoulder. "I'll talk to you soon, pup! And don't forget, Friday night!" He waved without looking, then said bye to the hosts and ducked out the door before he could be swarmed.
Mark found a chair to sit in, and let himself fall into it. Sitting on his ass was the only way he could keep his happily wagging tail still, and make sure it didn't hit anyone. A content smile was plastered on his face, and he was certain it wouldn't be going anywhere for a long time.
The dinner was great. The movie was nice. The wolf was wonderful. Mark tried to contain his giddiness around Ash, but found that he was barely able to keep himself from pinning the lupine to the nearest vertical surface for a kiss. Every time Ash held the husky's hand, Mark had to suppress a longing whimper, though it always showed on his muzzle anyway.
"A little pent-up?" Ash asked after what felt like the twentieth time the dog whined.
Mark blushed, glad his thick fur hid the sign of nervousness. "Sorry," he managed to say through a grin that threatened to turn into a fit of giggles. "I just like your company a lot."
Ash sneered, then gave the husky a broad smile. "And you like me touching you," he said. He gave the air around them a sniff, then let his voice drop suggestively. "More than I think is decent in public." He laughed, and licked the husky's snout, getting another cute whimper.
The dog sniffed for himself, and realized that he could smell every bit of his anxious arousal. It pervaded the air around him, and anyone with a sensitive nose could probably smell it from a mile away. His face flushed more fiercely, and he shrunk away from Ash a bit. "Stop that, someone'll notice," he complained.
"Let's just go somewhere private then, pup. No one'll care if we're not hanging around them." Ash had that lusty glint in his eye, and that lecherous upward crook in his smile.
All Mark could hear for a moment after that was his own suddenly racing heartbeat, until staring at Ash's handsome muzzle brought his mind back to reality. He tried to answer, but couldn't find words to describe how much he would love to have sex with this incredible wolf.
Ash sighed playfully. "Well, if you don't want it..."
The husky whimpered.
"Okay then, pup, take us home. I want to see what your place looks like before I show you the shack that I live in."
"It's nothing special, but do you really live in a shack?"
"You'll see, if we make it to your bedroom without losing ourselves in public and getting thrown in jail." The wolf chuckled, and the husky joined him. The canines amused each other as they walked back to Mark's apartment, and by the time the door was open the smell of arousal hung thick in the air between them.
"I guess you can put your coat in the closet, Ash. Should stay clean in there no matter where we decide to have our fun." Mark opened the coat closet and took the wolf's jacket, putting his own on a separate hanger.
"You'd have sex on your kitchen table?"
The husky grinned. "Never know what'll feel good," he answered wryly.
Ash quirked an eyebrow and left it that way for a moment. "I guess..." His answer was less than confident. "Maybe I'm just more traditional to prefer making a mess of the bedsheets."
"Beds can be fun too. Shall we?" Mark was already in the process of removing his shirt, getting a wolf whistle from Ash. The lack of clothing revealed the well-toned body of a husky in his prime, and the lupine liked what he was seeing. The dog's salt-and-pepper fur was in just the right spots to make the muscles look stronger, without actually being bigger. And from what he could see now, Ash was sure this guy had considerable stamina, even for his breed. For his part, the dog just grinned, gently tweaking a nipple.
Ash took a deep breath through his nose, and his heart sped up. It smelled like male, like all the wonderful scents in the world concentrated into one. He stepped in close, placing one paw over Mark's ribs. The fingers moved gently up and down, barely tickling the husky on top of the thick fur. The husky gasped at the electric touch.
In turn, Mark put a finger on Ash's muzzle. "Weren't we going to the bedroom, cub?" The dog smiled and presented the wolf with his ass, a movement he accentuated with a rhythmic swaying of his hips as he walked.
The lupine's eyes followed that beautiful backside, left to right, right to left, left to right...
"Don't even have your shirt off?" The husky almost barked a laugh. The wolf wasn't very good at this, for all the dominance he showed when socializing.
Ash chuckled. "Not for long." A moment later, the wolf's pale blue dress shirt was flying toward the dog's head, deflected to a side of the bed by a paw. Mark had to keep himself from drooling when he saw Ash's bare chest. The lupine definitely hit the gym. "You enjoying the view, pup?"
Mark nodded slowly, and whimpered as he let Ash push him back onto the bed. The husky buried his muzzle into the wolf's chest, sniffing his partner deeply. Ash's paws wandered up and down Mark's back, Mark's paws did the same to Ash's tight bottom. The husky looked up, and left the wolf's firm ass to pull his head down for a kiss, hard and passionate. Their tongues didn't stay still for even a moment, exploring each other's mouths and wanting even more. Ash grabbed Mark's muzzle in both paws, Mark rapidly undid the lupine's leather belt. The husky quickly worked to unbutton the pants and unzip the fly, then eagerly pushed the wolf's pants down, letting them fall to the floor. Ash stepped out of them, leaning over Mark and pushing him to his back, licking at the sides of his muzzle and his neck. The husky gripped the sheets, his pants painfully contraining his hot, raging erection. Since his hands were free, he yanked down Ash's underwear, then got his own belt off. The wolf started kissing him again, their tongues just as active as before, and Mark arched his back to pull down his pants and his boxers. Ash's raging wolfcock dripped pre onto Mark's thigh, a strand connecting the sticky fluid to its source as more trickled down. The husky pushed Ash to one side of the bed with both paws, then rolled on top of him, staring straight at the lupine's throbbing erection, tip shining with a bead of precum. He licked up the pre, then again around the tip, and another time around lower, then lower and lower. He kept going, teasing that way until he got to the base, where he took both the wolf's heavy balls into his muzzle just for a moment. Then a long, slow lap over the underside of Ash's cock, ending by putting his lips around the head. He sucked on the rod, ever carefully taking in more and more. The wolf moaned, and growled, and tried not to howl. He shuddered, his legs twitched and gave small kicks, his breathing lost any sense of steadiness. His panting grew harsher as the husky sucked harder, and he found himself unable to do anything but grunt. His hips bucked up, and he put both his paws on the back of the husky's head, face-fucking the dog with abandon as his need for climax clouded his senses. Every inch of wolfcock in his muzzle made the husky more horny, and more eager for the taste of Ash's cum. He lapped up all the pre and saliva from the dick while it was in his hot muzzle, and started bobbing up and down on the cock, redoubling his efforts to get a mouthful of the wolf's seed.
With a howl, the lupine tensed up all at once, every muscle suddenly contracting hard. His hips kept bucking, shooting hot white cum right down Mark's throat. The husky swallowed as much as he could before the wolf shot more, drinking in the bitter extract thirstily, still sucking between swallows. Another spurt of cum, another swallow, again and again until the wolf was spent--and even then, the husky still sucked on the over-sensitive member.
"S-stop!" Ash moaned, squirming under the dog's ministrations. "Uuuunnngh..."
Mark cleaned off Ash's cock with his tongue, lapping up every bit of spooge. "Mmmm..." He looked at the wolf, wiping his muzzle on the back of a paw, a length of the viscous fluid still sticking when he pulled his paw away. "What'd you think, sexy?"
The lupine moaned again, scratching at his abdomen idly. "That...was wonderful."
"Is that all I get?"
"Eh?" Ash lifted his head off the mattress to look the husky in the eyes. It was a mistake. "Quit making that face, pup."
Mark was trying to look like a puppy. His ears were pulled back and sat floppily, his jowls were falling, and his eyebrows drooped. He went so far as to give a bit of a whine.
"I don't have any energy to do more, after that amazing blowjob." Ash's chest was still heaving. "Can you give me a cool-down?"
The husky looked disappointed, but then smiled. "Sure I can. As long as you're going to return the favor before you leave tonight."
Ash grinned. "All right, pup. You've got yourself a deal. Before I'm allowed to walk out that door, I'll suck you off."
"No, I want your ass."
"But--"
"Your ass."
"Why can't I just give you a blowjob back?"
"Because you're not as good as me."
"And how do you know that?"
"I don't."
"Then why don't you want to let me?"
"You have the hottest ass of any male I've ever seen, and I want it."
Ash growled in frustration, then let his head fall back on the bed. "...You got me, pup. You get my ass before I go."
The husky didn't answer, instead crawling up next to the wolf. "Ironic, isn't it? You kept me from falling twice, then the one time I'm sober, I catch you. And now here we are, in my bed. And you just had the best orgasm of your life." Mark giggled, before Ash had a chance to protest.
"And the one time I fall, you were the one there to catch me. Almost like fate...if you believe in bull shit like that." Ash laughed himself. "And you know what? That was only the second best orgasm I've ever had."
"Oh?"
"Well...it will be before I leave tomorrow." The handsome wolf smiled, and dug an arm under Mark's head, scratching behind the husky's ears a little.
"You think so?"
"You've got a pretty hot ass yourself, pup."
"Thanks, cub."
