"Oh no, take it back." Geordi hissed, the coral snake naga curling away from his roommate in a huff. "No way we can take care of that."
The rabbit standing alongside his prospective pet got defensive. "Hey, you said any pet I chose as long as it was small enough that you could eat it." Marcellin had one paw up on the neck of the beast he'd brought home, stroking soothingly just above the oversized collar.
The beast in question was a land dragon, a reptilian as tall as a horse on all fours. He tilted his head a bit at the other scaled creature in the room, eyes curiously tracing along the various coils which filled much of the chamber.
The serpent twisted back around, pointing with one muscular arm. "You think I can eat that?!" He shouted in disbelief.
Marcellin continued to stroke along the dragon's neck, occasionally shushing the great beast. "How do you know?" He asked pointedly.
The four-legged reptilian winced and shuffled back a step at the no-legged reptilian's outburst, but was soothed by the paw stroking and the voice shushing him softly.
Geordi narrowed his eyes and slithered his upper layer of coils to bring his torso closer to the pair at the door. He reared up a bit further than he usually did, so that his head stood a bit higher than the proposed pet, and he outright towered over his roommate. "What do you mean, 'how do I know'?"
The lapine took a deep breath, and stood up as straight as he could muster, puffing out his chest somewhat. "You gotta prove to me that you can't swallow him. I've spent the last three months visiting Rocky, it's gonna take more than words to stop me having him at home."
The drake's thick tail whipped around behind him when he heard the name the rabbit gave him, and turned to nuzzle down at the fuzzy anthro, giving him a few affectionate licks.
"And if I can't get him down, he goes back to..." Geordi pointed down emphatically, trying to keep stern while his disbelief showed through. "Wherever sells land dragons. I'd much rather have whatever money that was to adopt it go to groceries."
"Deal." The lapine held out his free paw to shake, grasping as firm as he could against the powerful grip of his roommate when it was accepted.
Rocky watched curiously, and then raised his foreclaw to place on top of the other two's clasped hands.
The coral naga hissed, eyes narrow at the dragon, before releasing and slithering over to the couch, his coils shifting and curling around until he'd gotten his torso around the same level of the cushions, laid atop a ramp made of the many loops of his long body.
Marcellin gently grasped the collar around the drake's throat, and guided him around to the couch.
The land dragon looked uncertainly at the couch, then at the rabbit, before tentatively settling onto it, facing away from the coiled up naga.
Geordi slowly rubbed along the joints of his jaw, massaging the muscles and tendons there with his fingers. "If I can get him down, keepin' him." He reiterated.
Nodding to the coral naga, the rabbit turned his attention back to the dragon, stroking his throat with both paws slowly, "Alright, Rocky. This is gonna be weird but I promise it's okay. I'll be here the whole time, and then you get to stay here with me afterwards."
The dragon started to whip his tail around back and forth, thudding the thick appendage against the back of the couch and one of the armrests, leaning in to affectionately slurp along the lapine's cheek and neck.
"Does he even understand what you're saying?" With a deft strike, Geordi grasped the tail and held it still with one hand, flitting his tongue at the tip inquisitively.
Hugging around the dragon's neck firmly, the rabbit peered back at his housemate. "He understands well enough."
Meanwhile, Rocky was torn between turning his head to look back at the grip on his tail, and pressing his jawline down onto the lapine and grinding his muzzle along those soft ears. He did one, then the other, before switching.
The naga peered at the dragon as he glanced back, waiting for a still moment. Geordi gaped open his maw when the drake was again distracted by affection with the lapine. Using his grip on the thick tail, he guided it into the open space at the back of his throat, and then slithered forwards about a foot, until he felt the tail bury itself into his gullet, closing his jaws around its girth.
The dragon perked up at the new feeling, turning to look, and squirmed on the couch, flexing his tail a bit, trying to pull it away from the serpent's jaws.
Marcellin shushed the feral dragon affectionately, stroking and rubbing with his paws. "It's alright. You just need to relax. I know it's scary, but I'm here. Let him take you down, okay?"
Rocky let out a soft whine, but stopped squirming, pressing his head against the rabbit's neck and chest as his hindlegs and tail went rather limp.
Taking that as a sign to continue, Geordi swallowed firmly, starting up onto the couch as his snout approached the dragon's hips. He carefully reached forwards with his arms to scoop up the quadruped's hindlegs and guide them to his mouth, gaping open again to tuck them into the fleshy chamber. He closed up again, and took another gulp.
The dragon shivered, but didn't try to pull away, just needily nuzzling into the rabbit for comfort as the decidedly unnatural situation played out around him.
Marcellin, for his part, continued to stroke and rub the back of the drake's head and along his neck, making soothing noises, and speaking quietly, "You're such a good boy, Rocky."
The naga swallowed firmly again, rolling his eyes in his head a bit at his roommate as he dislocated his jaws over the dragon's hips. He shifted his lower jaw to ensure his glottis wasn't covered, taking a deep breath through it, before swallowing again.
Feeling the rush of warm air on his underbelly caused Rocky to squirm again, forelegs reaching to wrap around Marcellin firmly, letting out another soft whine.
The rabbit lowered his muzzle and kissed the top of the drake's head. "That's it, I'm here." He stroked and rubbed still with his paws along the underside of Rocky's jaw and up to the ridges at its base, scritching there with his dull claws.
Geordi grunted and waited a moment, only resuming when the quadruped had settled once again, impatiently swallowing harder, up along the body of the prospective pet significantly faster than before, bulges starting to appear beyond the base of his torso and into the length of his body.
Marcellin kissed the top of the dragon's head softly. "Good boy. Now, you're going to have to let go of me soon. Is that okay?"
As the coral naga's jaws neared the base of his forelegs, Rocky just clung to his master tighter, whimpering.
The lapine rubbed and stroked down along the drake's neck and to his shoulders. "Just be a good boy and let go. I'll be here, and it'll be over soon."
The dragon whined a bit louder, but let go, forelegs going limp as the advancing jaws of the serpent started forcing them up beside his head.
Scooting back a bit on the couch, Marcellin's reassuring strokes moved to the drake's forelegs, as his head was just out of reach, but the rabbit kept eye contact with the feral reptilian.
Geordi exhaled a hiss, swallowing firmly, his upper jaw starting to creep over the dragon's head ridges, yawning his jaws open wide again to try to skip over them, while being careful to not extend his venomous fangs away from the roof of his mouth.
Rocky squirmed again, but too much of his body was tightly held in serpentine flesh to do much more than cause a few lumps to move a few inches, far less than they moved when the naga swallowed. He extended his neck as far as it would go, putting his chin out of the encroaching maw, while inadvertently making his body more streamlined.
The naga closed his jaws again, the soft palate laying down against the top of his meal's head and obscuring his eyes. He swallowed again firmly, and the rest of the dragon's head sank out of sight, just the extended forelegs still exposed.
The rabbit held the drake's claws, gently rubbing along their backs with his thumbs. "Almost there, then you can stay with us, Rocky. You'll be ours."
Geordi glanced aside, whipping his thin tongue out to curl around the forelegs dangling from his jaws, giving a squeeze to bring them closer together, making an even more streamlined shape to overcome. He was nearly taking in a foot with each swallow now, and with the next he was up to the dragon's wrists.
Marcellin smiled broadly, taking his paws away and shifted back on the couch, hugging his knees to his chest as he watched.
The naga gulped again, and reared up somewhat, so that the bulges of the ingested dragon's claws could be seen travelling down his neck and behind his muscular torso, as the bulges below slid and travelled further into his tail. After a few more moments the claws reappeared with the rest of the body, sluicing down into the loop of coils on the floor. "Well, I wasn't exactly sure I could pull it off, but there we go."
"Okay, that's the bet. You could swallow him. I mean, you did." The rabbit jittered a bit. "Now, get to spitting him out."
The coral snake casually lowered his torso onto the couch, lounging somewhat. "That wasn't part of the bet."
"What." Marcellin's face dropped.
"The terms of the bet were if I can swallow him, we keep him." Geordi hissed amusedly. "Well, he's certainly not going back to the pet store now."
"You motherfucker." The lapine's voice was dripping in disbelief and disgust.
"Only mother I fucked was yours, kiddo." The naga teased, as a wet gurgle sounded out from lower down into his coiled-up body, signaling the very real threat of oncoming digestion for the dragon.
Marcellin leapt from the couch and over to the wriggling bulge in the length of the naga. "Rocky, I'll get you out, just stay calm!" He started pushing on the bulges, trying to reverse their direction down the muscular passage on the other side of cool scales and thick flesh.
"Oooh, thanks for the belly rub, bun." Came the cloying voice of Geordi, smug face peeking over the arm of the couch back at the rabbit pressing on the lump in his hide.
The lapine looked at the coral naga's face, then towards the kitchen, wheels visibly turning in his head. He twisted and tensed to push off with his powerful legs in another arcing bound.
The serpent's eyes widened as he realized what his roommate was thinking. After all, that's where they kept the knives. He rapidly wrapped the tip of his tail shut around Marcellin, catching onto his ankles before the rabbit could get out of reach in a sudden bolt towards the kitchen door. "Oh, no you don't. I'm not gonna tolerate an impromptu, anesthesia-free version of Operation in our apartment."
"He's going to die, asshole! Don't you care?" Marcellin struggled against the powerful tail, as it lifted him and dangled him upside down in front of the couch.
"Yeah, I care. It means I'll stop having the unique discomfort of a dragon struggling against my guts." The serpent chuckled darkly. "Thanks for the next month's meal, bun. It won't go to waste."
The rabbit squealed in incoherent rage and swung a fist, just breezing by as the serpent pulled the tail away from his torso. He continued to flail and strike at Geordi, unable to reach no matter how he tried.
"Okay, you need to _ calm down _, bun." The naga said firmly, eyes focusing in on the rabbit's own, his usually narrowed pupils slowly dilating open wider.
Marcellin, eyes already locked with the naga's in his anger, was woefully unprepared, as he began to see a bizzare light show originating from those serpentine eyes, rapidly draining away anger, and along with it, the reasoning behind it.
"wow... glad I can do that upside down." Geordi quipped to himself as he kept eye contact, even as in the length of tail between himself and the rabbit the bulge in his scales was settling, the gurgling increasing in volume as the muscles getting to work displaced various internal gasses. One such made its way up, and he belched; gasses rushing strongly enough to ruffle through the rabbit's fur. "Oh, excuse me, bun."
There was a moment where Marcellin's eyes squinted against the blast of air, but the hold on his mind stayed firm, limply dangling from his ankles.
"_ Now. " The naga began, voice smooth and confident. " **_The matter is closed. You lost the bet, and there's no way I'll let you try to bring home a pet again. This is okay. You've learned your lesson and have accepted this. Maybe when you move to a new place you can do it, but by then that dragon will be gone.**" His gut grrrrlned in agreement.
Marcellin numbly nodded, still held in the serpent's gaze.
Geordi smirked a bit and lowered the rabbit down onto the sofa, keeping eye contact the whole way, slipping his tail away once the lapine was settled down onto the cushion next to him. "_ Take a nap, and when you wake up, what I've told you is what you remember. Anything that contradicts that never happened. Do you understand? _"
Marcellin nodded again. "Yes."
"_ Now sleep. _" The coral naga commanded, and lifted off the couch, starting to slither back to his room to spend some time relaxing on his heating plate to really get to work digesting his meal.
The rabbit's eyes closed, and he fell from his trance directly into deep, dreamless sleep.
