Not A Scale Out Of Place
As a contribution to his MERVAS universe, FA: Lurdanjo commissioned this during the transformation stream. It is an interesting idea, injecting a new android with greater creative freedom into the group that's already there; I look forward to seeing what else happens.

Not a Scale Out of Place
For Lurdanjo
By Draconicon
Draconicon opened his eyes, and knew that something had changed.
He wasn't sure what, of course. That knowledge seemed locked away, hidden, waiting for him to discover it when the time was right. It was just a feeling, but a very strong feeling, in spite of that.
The black dragon sat up, swinging his legs over the side of the hospital bed. It was strange, as he didn't remember being in a hospital. He didn't remember being in so much as a doctor's office for...decades, perhaps longer. The room was strange, too, with curved ceilings and something different about the top of the room. Wires, or something similar, seemed to rope around, twisting and turning around each other, almost like they were creating a web.
He shrugged. It was how the room was, and it didn't tell him anything. He stepped up from the bed, felt a slight slap, and looked down.
Hmm. No clothes, either.
Again, it didn't bother him, but it felt different. Not that he ever slept clothed, but he did feel like he would have had something. A gown or...
Perhaps not. He shrugged again, walking out of the room and into the hallway with his big, black cock slapping back and forth between his thighs, the head reaching more than halfway down to his knees as he kept up a pace. His bare feet felt the slight cold of the floor beneath him, but it was not uncomfortable.
In fact, nothing was uncomfortable, which seemed mildly strange. He was in a hospital, of sorts. He had been in a bed. He was naked. There was nobody else here, as far as he could tell, and there was a mystery that he couldn't seem to think through. Draconicon didn't stop walking, but nor did he speed up at these little mysteries of life, allowing them to pass over his head, almost like he couldn't quite bring himself to focus on them.
After all, there were more important things in life, more things that he needed to do. Like...
Like writing, he realized after a moment or two. Writing was a passion of his, and it wasn't like there was paper and pencil in the hospital room, or in the hallway. The hallway.
He looked back, feeling like he had seen more of the wires and such that had covered the walls and ceiling, as well as some sort of other thing moving around. The black dragon turned, his large shaft swinging around with him as part of the movement, but there was nothing there. The hallway looked completely normal, if empty, with doors on either side and softly humming lights in the ceiling.
Shrugging, the dragon kept walking down the hallway, following the little signs here and there that made sense to him, but when he thought back on it, realized didn't make any sense as a mental picture. He thought that he should, perhaps, turn around and go take a look at them, but as he was understanding where they were telling him to go, what was the point of that?
The naked dragon continued his journey, stepping over strange bulges and bumps on the ground that didn't seem to be there when he looked back, and occasionally felt...
No, he thought the information of feeling a spark underneath his foot. The information touched him, was acknowledged, and passed through. He never actually 'felt' anything, as the fact was only information rather than anything else.
The next time he felt the spark, he stopped, and just stood there. He felt like there was some increase in current, something running through his sole, but he never felt any pain. Draconicon stood there, waiting, feeling the voltage and everything else rising up, and when he felt like the information of 'shock' had risen high enough, he lifted his foot up and away.
Despite the red marks along the bottom of his feet, as well as the places where the scales were charred and blackened to the point where char was falling off of his foot, he still felt no pain. He touched it, wiggled a finger against it, but nothing. No pleasure, no pain, not even the numbness that came with injury. Just...emptiness, as if there had never been anything at all.
How peculiar. I will have to use that in a story, he thought, putting his foot back down on the invisible shocking thing, and kept up his walk.
The longer that he was away from his work, the more out of sorts he started to feel. It was like he needed to do something, like there was something missing that would make him complete again. He felt that it was his writing. It was such a large part of his work, such a large part of his life. If he went without doing it, he felt plugged up, wrong, almost emotionally congested until he did something with it.
But the longer that he walked, the more that he traveled, the less complete an answer that seemed. He felt like there was something else missing, and he thought about it as he walked, his steps tick-tocked-timed by the clicking of his toe claws on the floor and the smack-smack of his dick against his thighs.
Why do I feel wrong?
Because he wanted to write.
Why do I want to write?
Because it feels good.
Why does it feel good?
Because it made other people happy.
Now, he was getting somewhere. Draconicon pursued that level of thought, and realized that there were other things that he could do. The dragon smiled slightly as he thought to the other things that he had done, giving some people chances for fun with him that they couldn't get with others. Carnal knowledge of other encounters started to slip into his head, from a white dragon that had bought him to a wolf that had a fondness for slapping sneakers on his feet, to a red draconid that...
A red draconid. Draconicon stopped, feeling like he had run slightly into a mental wall. There was something behind that thought, a slight link that felt like it should go to another memory beyond the chain that he was working on, but no. It ended there, as if it had been stopped before he could reach it.
"Huh."
Draconicon stopped in the middle of the hallway again, a pair of double doors not far ahead. Something told him that he should keep walking, but this mystery fascinated him in a way.
Where would I know a red draconid?
He thought about it, but despite pushing harder than he had thus far, the memory would not come. He didn't feel frustrated at the lack, but only filled with more curiosity, like there was a treat waiting for him if he could figure out a way around that one. It was like he had just found a purpose.
But just because he had found a purpose didn't mean he had found his purpose.
There was something about pleasing other people that stuck out, whether through his writing, or his body, or other methods. There was something to him that craved it, like it was what he had been born to do. If he believed in a higher power, he would believe that it was what he had been made to do.
Draconicon put the thought out of his head, but remembered the idea of the red draconid. There was something he might figure out later, if he had time. For the moment, he needed to fulfill that purpose, to get to work. He stepped forward again, smiling to himself as he felt more reconciled to everything. No longer uncomfortable, he walked ahead, and pushed through the double doors.
Unsurprisingly - for some reason - there was a computer up ahead. Draconicon smiled to himself, walking over and typing a few keys. It didn't take long to open up a streaming document, and right there, waiting for him, were a dozen people that wanted him to start writing. One of them, again, unsurprisingly, was a red draconid.

"Are you sure that he's alright, Drac?"
The real Draconicon nodded his head a few times, folding his arms over his chest as the android version of him sat down. He and Danji were watching through a series of webcams, and he'd been following his android copy for a time to watch its progress, curious about how it would deal with where it was.
Whatever it was seeing, he could tell that it was not stressed. The somewhat ramshackle construction area that they'd used was in a part of the facility that needed repair, and the hallways were, well, not quite littered, but covered with a sprawl of cables that were in various states of disrepair. The signs that the android had seemed to follow weren't signs, but binary flashes, spitting out data so fast that a human eye couldn't read them, but a machine's could.
He leaned forward as he watched the android Drac go from writing to standing up at Danji's request, and he rolled his eyes slightly as the black dragon started dancing, showing off his cock and balls for a built-in camera.
"Couldn't help yourself, could you?"
"He is built to please."
"He's happy to do it, that's for sure."
"You know, we didn't have to boost that part of your personality very much. He's pretty much you."
"Just with an android mind, and part of his memory locked off."
"Not locked so much as...waiting."
"Can he access it at will?"
"Not really."
"Then it's locked off."
Draconicon shook his head. He understood what Danji was doing with this. Having an android with much more creative power and processing ability was a step forward for the rest of the MERVAS project. It would allow for a great many more scenarios for the system to play out, not to mention giving an experiment of how an android with creative outlets might discover new parts of itself. At the same time...
Well, he worried. The other androids seemed to have a sort of forgetfulness to them, or an unawareness of their own limitation. This one, he knew, was aware. Not through a fault, but intentionally. He just hoped it would be okay.
The dance continued on screen for a while, and then Danji typed in the command for the black dragon android to come find him. The red draconid turned to face him.
"You might want to find a hiding place."
"Heh, I should probably leave. Tell me how it goes?"
"Of course. See you, Drac. I have to go meet Drac."
Danji left, and Draconicon sighed to himself. This project could either be a key to android uplift, or something that pushed their greater advocate over the edge. He just hoped it'd be the first.
