#1 of Ski Weekend

Rusty gripped the steering wheel of the Jeep tightly as a gust of wind blew across the front, the vehicle shuddering and drifting to the left as a pair of lovers made their way up the two lane road. The coyote grunted as he pulled the vehicle back to the right, the tires protesting on the lightly packed snow. The back tires fishtailed for a moment before righting once more, leaving a jagged series of ruts on the roadway.

"Hun, will you please slow down?" Kenneth asked from the passenger seat, the leopard tightly gripping a conveniently placed handle above the door frame as if his life depended on it.

Rusty chuckled and glanced over at him for a moment, then back at the road ahead of them. "It'll be fine, sweetie. It's just a little windy."

The leopard cringed and whimpered a little, his left hand tightly gripping the edge of his seat. "We'll get to the cabin just fine, whether you speed or not. So I'd rather you didn't."

The coyote smirked, giving the gas pedal a firm nudge, causing the tires to hiss in protest as they kicked up a flurry of freshly-fallen snow. The leopard yelped in surprise, shifting in his seat uncomfortably, fully expecting Rusty to get them killed somehow.

"Just relax, Ken. I do this all the time. I know these roads like the back of my paw."

This wasn't reassuring to the leopard. He could only sit and pray that they would reach the cabin safely. He cringed again as Rusty sharply pulled the steering wheel to the left, sending the Jeep into a sudden sideways skid. The tires protested noisily as a cloud of snow sprayed across the snowy roadway, the coyote pulling the steering wheel to the right to straighten out the skid. He then punched down the gas pedal, the vehicle's tires spinning in place for a moment before rocketing onto a branching path. Despite the recklessness of it, it was a perfectly executed maneuver.

"I...really wish you wouldn't do that," Ken said shakily, his voice cracking for a moment.

Rusty laughed, glancing over again to his lover. "You're way too uptight. You need to unwind a little and just enjoy life. We're on a vacation."

Ken shook his head, his tail thumping noisily against the back of the seat as he looked over at the coyote. "I can unwind and enjoy life just fine, without risking getting killed."

Rusty edged down the gas pedal a little more, building more speed, the tires kicking up a spray of snow as they raced up the path toward the cabin. They were now driving over a single-lane, partially plowed strip, lined occasionally with red flags that marked the way through a dense pine forest. Ken could only close his eyes and take a deep breath to calm his nerves, hoping they would arrive soon.

Ken's wishes, however, were interrupted by a "holy shit!" from the driver's seat.

His eyes snapped open just in time to see a large, four-legged creature step out of the trees in front of them. Rusty jerked the wheel sharply to the side and laid down the brake, sending the vehicle into a sharp fishtail. The Jeep swung around, skidding backwards for a moment as a startled buck leapt out of the way just in time.

The vehicle twisted once more, veering off the left side of the narrow path before coming to an abrupt halt against a heavy snow bank, sending a cloud of snow flying into the air in a dense white haze. There was a moment of dead silence, the vehicle stalled, as the pair took in what had just happened. Then, Ken picked up a nearby roadmap and began to repeatedly hit the coyote over the head with it.

"You fucking idiot! You could have got us killed!"

Rusty raised his paws to shield himself from the harmless attack, ducking back and trying to grab the map out of Ken's hand. "Dude, calm down! It's not a big deal!"

Ken gave Rusty's muzzle a particularly hard swat with the map, then threw it onto the dashboard. He reached over and grabbed the door latch, pushing sharply. The door swung open a few inches, and then stopped suddenly. He tried again, glancing through the window, and realized that the Jeep was partially embedded in the snow bank, and getting out on the right side was going to be impossible.

"Great, and now we're probably stuck," he said, throwing up his hands in frustration.

Rusty reached up, rubbing his nose as he looked over at the leopard. "Just calm down, hun. I can get us out of this. She's a sturdy car."

Rusty reached down and turned the ignition, holding his breath, and groaned when nothing happened. He attempted once more, with the same result. He cursed under his breath, reaching down and pulling the hood release, throwing the door open and jumping out amongst a string of expletives.

"Uh, Rusty," the leopard called out.

"Not now!" he snapped in return, pulling the hood open. He glanced around, breathing heavier with growing frustration as he began to fumble around under the hood.

Ken sighed and shook his head lightly, then reached down and shifted the vehicle into Neutral. He leaned over, taking the key and turning it in the ignition. The engine turned over, and then roared to life. Startled by the unexpected noise, Rusty jumped up, banging his head on the underside of the hood in the process.

"God dammit!" he yelled out, reaching up and cradling his head where he'd struck it. The coyote made his way back to the door, rubbing his head lightly and gazing up at the leopard. "What did you do?

"The vehicle was still in gear," Ken replied calmly, pointing down at the shifter. "Engine doesn't start when the car is in Drive."

Rusty gave him a blank look, then climbed up onto his seat and pulled the door shut sharply. He shifted the Jeep into Reverse and pushed on the gas pedal, the wheels spinning and kicking up snow. The Jeep shuddered, but refused to move. The coyote growled and pushed down the pedal harder, and before long the Jeep found traction and lurched backwards away from the snow bank. He cranked the wheel and flipped the Jeep around, then shifted and sped down the road, though not nearly as rapidly as he had been traveling previously.

Ken glanced over at the agitated canine, opening his mouth to speak to him, then sighed lightly and gazed out the side window, bumping his head lightly against the cold glass and resting it there. He watched the trees fly past as they traveled along, the pair sitting in silence for the rest of the short trek to their cabin.

* * * * * * *

Ken breathed a sigh of relief as the Jeep pulled up to the small cabin, grateful that they had arrived in one piece. It wasn't terribly extravagant, but it served its purpose well. The comfortable log cabin was built into the mountain, hiding it from view for the most part beneath the heavy snowpack. Ken had never personally visited it, so he didn't know what to expect inside.

Rusty turned off the vehicle and stretched out, then turned to Ken and smirked. "See? I told you we'd get here just fine."

The coyote's tail wagged behind him as he gave a smug grin, pushing the door open and hopping out into the lightly packed snow that marked the driveway. Rusty just rolled his eyes and stepped out, gazing at their surroundings. As far as he could tell, they didn't have any neighbors for miles. The cabin was in a rather secluded area, so privacy wasn't an issue.

"Don't bother yourself with our stuff yet, hun," Rusty called out, twirling his keys on a finger. "Need to figure out where we're gonna put things, first."

Ken nodded lightly as he followed behind the coyote, his spotted tail waving back and forth. His paws crunched lightly in the snow, the leopard preferring to stay barefoot for now. Rusty approached the front door and unlocked it with a click, pushing it open afterward. He stepped to one side, gesturing in and bowing like a butler.

"After you," he said with a chuckle.

Ken stuck his tongue out at Rusty and stepped inside, expecting to find a warm, bright atmosphere. He was greeted, however, by a cold, dark cabin that seemed entirely inhospitable. He glanced around in the darkness, and then looked over at Rusty.

"We're supposed to sleep here?"

Rusty laughed, stepping in beside the leopard and slipping an arm around him. "We can't just expect everything to be set up for us, sweetie. It's a cabin in the middle of nowhere." He gestured over his shoulder with a thumb, smiling. "Come on, I need your hand putting gas in the generator and getting it started."

Ken gave him a blank look. "Generator?"

Rusty stepped outside and gestured to the expanse of trees surrounding them. "You don't see any power lines, do you?"

Ken sighed lightly, stepping outside onto the porch, lightly kicking a beam. He jumped a bit when a sheet of snow slid off the porch just ahead of him, landing with a dull thud. "So just how long is it gonna take before this place is livable?"

Rusty shrugged lightly. "Depends on how hard you want to work. If we hurry, we can have this place warmed up in less than an hour."

Rusty gestured over to the side of the house where the generator was located, perched beneath a protective awning that kept it dry. As the two made their way around the house, Ken gazed up at the hillside above the house.

"So, uh, how often do avalanches happen around here?" he inquired curiously, noticing that the density of trees was thinner on that particular stretch.

Rusty shrugged. "Don't know. I don't spend a lot of time up here. I mean, the ski resort has avalanches all the time on the unmarked trails. You just don't hear about most of them, cuz nobody's around when they happen."

Ken gave him a puzzled look. "Didn't you say you come up here every year to ski?"

"Well, yeah. But I don't worry about avalanches. This place has been standing since pops built it, so don't be too worried."

Rusty nodded lightly, though he was hardly reassured. Glancing up at the sky, he grumbled to himself. A storm was moving in quickly, and they'd likely see fresh snowfall before the night was over. He shook his head lightly, looking over at the coyote.

"I certainly hope you're right. Considering the luck we've already had, I'm not sure if I want to hold my breath on that one."

Rusty laughed and shook his head. "Don't worry. Everything will be fine."

* * * * * * *

Ken cursed to himself as he hunched over an open pellet stove, blowing into the embers of a pile of smoldering wood pellets. He'd tried several times to ignite the small pile, with no apparent success. He shivered lightly, rubbing his paws over his arms to warm them up a bit. Even though he had a fur coat, his short pelt did little to protect him against any real cold, and he was ill-dressed to be in the cold for a long period of time.

"I'd kill for a fireplace right now," he grumbled, looking over at Rusty, who was busily carrying their gear into the cabin.

Rusty pointed to a fireplace in the living room after dropping their duffel bags, laughing to himself. "It's right there. But a fire won't keep this place warm the whole time we're here. That's what the pellet stove is for."

Ken grunted at this and nodded, pulling out the barbecue-style lighter and igniting the flame over the pellets. Seeing this, Rusty slid in behind him, watching with a smug grin.

"You're doing it wrong."

"Well, no shit," Ken snapped back, glaring up at the coyote. Without asking for assistance, he nudged aside the charred pellets and attempted to light some of the unburned ones beneath. He blew gently once embers formed, but there was no flame.

"Let me help," Rusty said calmly. He nudged the leopard aside, reaching past him and bending down. He reached into a bucket of cleaning tools beside the stove, extracting an unmarked white bottle.

"What is that?" Ken inquired curiously, gazing at the blank bottle.

"It's rubbing alcohol."

The coyote snapped it open and gave it a good squeeze, squirting it into the smoldering pile. He blew gently into it, and the pellets burst to life in a deep blue flame.

"Why didn't you tell me you had that?" Ken growled, pushing at the coyote as he stood up.

"I figured you knew how to start a fire," Rusty replied, chuckling to him. He switched on the pellet stove, closing the door and locking it. A dull glow illuminated the ahead in front of the stove as he brushed his paws off, tossing the bottle back in the bucket.

"Well then, now that we have the stove going, this place should warm up in no time. What do you say we unwind a bit, and get comfy?" Rusty grinned as he slipped his arms around Ken's waist, cuddling up to the leopard that was still kneeling in front of the pellet stove.

Ken perked up noticeably at this, his ears standing up as he gazed back at the coyote. He quirked an eyebrow at him, a little smirk playing over his muzzle as his previous frustration was briefly forgotten.

"And how do you propose we do that?" he asked softly, his tail flicking from side to side.

"Oh, I don't know. Maybe get cozy in the living room, slip out of our clothes, and see where things go from there?" Rusty replied with a knowing chuckle.

Ken purred lightly at the idea, turning himself around and standing up. He slipped his arms around the coyote's waist, gazing up at him with a smile. "Well, I'm probably supposed to be upset with you for almost getting us killed, but I think I can overlook that for a quiet romp."

Rusty laughed lightly and leaned down, kissing the leopard just above his nose. "I can live with that. Let's get a little fire going," he said, taking Ken's paw and leading him toward the living room.

"Are we talking about a fire in the fireplace, or your pants?" he asked, giving Rusty's waist a little squeeze.

Rusty stuck his tongue out at the leopard, reaching down to give his hip a grope. "Possibly both, we'll see."

Ken blushed somewhat as the two made their way over to the fireplace, stepping over a comfortable shag rug. He gazed down at the empty hearth, and then paused. "Wait, where's the wood?"

An abrupt snort beside him made him turn and smack the coyote on the chest. "You're such a pervert."

Rusty gave him a playful smirk as he slipped his paw around to the leopard's back side, giving it a firm squeeze. "You won't be saying that when you've got my co-"

"Knock it off!" Ken burst out with a laugh, pushing the coyote away and looking around the cabin. "Seriously, where do you keep the firewood?"

Rusty laughed while shaking his head, pointing to a closet near the couch. "In there. We usually keep the firewood outside in the summer, but it gets moved there so it stays dry."

Ken nodded as he stepped over and pulled the closet open, his nose greeted with the rich scent of pine. He inhaled deeply, and then sighed with a warm smile. "I love that smell." He then bent down and picked up a few logs, as well as a good handful of bark.

"Mmm, and I love that ass," the coyote purred, his eyes locked on the leopard's curved rump, watching the spotted tail wave back and forth slowly.

Ken stood up abruptly, an intense blush on his muzzle as he turned to face the coyote with an armful of logs and bark. "You're incorrigible, Rusty."

The coyote tilted his head at this, his tail flicking back and forth. "If I'm encourage-able, why are you complaining?"

The leopard paused for a moment in front of the fireplace to let this sink in, and then chuckled softly when he realized what Rusty was trying to say. "No, no. IN-corrigible. Not En. It means you're impossible to correct."

Rusty waited for Ken to kneel down in front of the hearth, grinning. He knelt down onto his knees behind the leopard, snuggling up against him and giving a noticeable rub to the feline's rear. "Well, you've never complained in the past about my habits."

"I most certainly have!" Ken protested, his tail brushing up against the coyote's chest. "Remember that time you kept groping me under the table at Denny's?"

Rusty snorted in amusement at this, leaning down and nuzzling the back of the leopard's neck. "I still got you to give me head."

"Yeah, and after we paid our bill, the host asked us not to come back."

"After giving you his phone number!" Rusty retorted.

"That...that isn't the point," Ken challenged, his tail curling lightly around the coyote's waist as he laid two quartered logs in the fireplace rack.

The coyote's paws lightly caressed along the leopard's sides, ruffling up his shirt a little. He gave his neck a gentle nip, smiling as he dwelled on their little romp. "I remember him quite well. It was fun watching you squirm on the bed as he pounded you."

Ken whimpered a little at the observation, a bit distracted as he idly tore up pieces of bark and stuffed them beneath the logs. The tip of his tail thumped lightly against Rusty's waist as he gazed around for a lighter, and spotted one sitting on the mantle. He attempted to stand up, but was immediately pulled back by a clingy coyote.

"Uh, can you loosen up a little? I need to grab that lighter," he said, pointing up at it as he gazed back at Rusty. The coyote only smirked, pushing his groin up against the leopard's rump and grinding firmly.

"Say you love me."

Ken raised an eyebrow at this. "What?"

"Say it."

Ken laughed softly and twisted himself around to face Rusty, draping his arms around the coyote's shoulders and gazing into his eyes. "As much as I hate to admit it, and as much of a nuisance as you can be, I do love you, sweetie. You know that I love my big, dumb, reckless coyote."

Rusty laughed, leaning in and giving him a peck on the cheek. "I guess I can accept that, minus the last part."

"Take it or leave it."

The coyote laughed again, hugging Ken tightly. He then let the leopard return to his work, reaching up and retrieving the lighter for him. Ken took the lighter and turned, flicking the flame and leaning down to the fireplace to light the scraps of bark. As the wood took flame and spread, he blew gently to encourage it.

While he was distracted with starting the fire, he heard a distinct "zip" behind himself, and felt something firmly press up against his clothed rump. He blushed again, leaning away from the fireplace and gazing back at the coyote.

"You're just not going to quit, are you?" he said with a playful smile.

The coyote shook his head. "Not until I've got myself buried in that perfect ass, no."

Ken purred lightly as he reached up to open the flue, coughing when a cloud of black soot greeted him. He wrinkled his muzzle, sneezing a few times as he cuddled back against the coyote, satisfied with the fire was that was gaining strength on the hearth, crackling noisily.

"That's a real mood killer," he grumbled, reaching up to wipe his nose.

"We can fix that," Rusty purred to him, sitting back on the soft rug and pulling the leopard against his lap. His paws crept slowly along Ken's sides as he leaned forward and nuzzled into his neck, giving him a gentle kiss. The leopard shivered softly as he felt sharp teeth gently caress his neck in a love bite, the coyote's gentle paws finding their way around to his front. By the time Rusty's paws found the leopard's lap, the fabric of the feline's jeans was already straining.

"That was easy. Told you we could fix your little mood problem," the coyote observed, tilting his head up and kissing Ken's cheek.

Ken lifted his butt a little, rubbing back against the coyote's lap a bit. "I never said it would be that difficult."

Rusty replied by giving the bulge in Ken's lap a firm squeeze, causing the leopard to squirm and let out a soft groan. Taking a hint, the coyote slipped his paws lightly upward, woofing quietly into the cat's ear. Rusty lightly gripped the leopard's button between his fingers, undoing it with a pop, and then gently worked his zipper down. The coyote was surprised to be greeted by erect flesh, his fingers brushing lightly over the leopard's length.

"Well now, someone's not wearing his thong today? Looks like you were planning for this," Rusty said softly into the leopard's ear.

The coyote grinned at this, one paw caressing softly over the leopard's now-erect shaft, causing the spotted cat to whimper lightly with desire and grind his hips upward. Rusty's other paw trailed upward, resting on Ken's belly and tugging the cat toward himself. He pushed his own hips forward, his exposed member grinding into the leopard's jeans again.

Ken reached back as the coyote's paw loosely wrapped around his length, stroking from the tip down to the base. The leopard's paws found the coyote's hips, pulling them snugly up against his rump, pinning the erect canine length between them. After a few passes over the leopard's lightly pulsing length, Rusty reached down with both paws and pushed the cat's loose jeans off his hips a few inches.

"W-wait, Rusty. What about my shirt?" the leopard asked softly, his ears laying back.

The coyote grinned at this, shaking his head lightly and giving Ken's ear a light kiss. "Don't need to take it off. This pup's feeling rather randy. Just sit up a little, so I can slip these jeans down a bit more."

"What are you going to do?" Ken asked, sitting up a little to give the coyote more working room.

"You'll see," Rusty replied with a grin as he eased the leopard's pants down several more inches, leaving them bunched up around his thighs.

Ken blushed at this, feeling a cool draft brush over his bare hips as they were exposed. He sat up a bit more, hearing a gentle shuffling behind him and glancing back. He watches the coyote similarly wiggle out of his pants, leaving them just barely off his hips. It was just enough to leave his lap completely exposed.

"Now, on your knees, sweetie," the coyote purred into his lover's ear. "I want to stuff myself into that cute butt of yours."

Ken's ears and muzzle flushed deep crimson, but he nodded at the request. He bent forward a bit and placed a hand between his thighs, pushing himself up onto his knees. The coyote didn't waste a moment, easing himself onto his knees as well and scooting in behind the leopard. He leaned down, nuzzling into the cat's neck again and giving it a lick as he ground his hips against the leopard's furred butt.

Rusty sighed softly with anticipation as he lowered his hips a bit, letting the erect tip of his length tease lightly along the groove of his lover's rump. One of his paws reached down to lightly grip the base of his erection, while the other casually rested on the leopard's spotted hip. A thumb extended to grip near the groove of the cat's rear, tugging the cheek to the side to expose a pink muscled ring.

"You ready, sweetie?" the coyote asked softly, pushing his hips forward and smearing a little slickness over the warm entrance.

Ken nodded as he bit his lower lip, arching his back a little and perking up his rump. His tail draped itself over the coyote's shoulder, out of the way, as he smiled over his shoulder to the canine.

"Of course I am, Rusty." He leaned back and kissed the coyote's cheek, then purred sweetly. "Give your kitty what he wants."

Rusty grinned at this and leaned in, wrapping his jaws around the side of the leopard's neck. He bit down lightly in a dominant bite as he pushed upward, his tapered tip meeting a little resistance before the slickened hole relaxed around it. There was a mutual groan from the pair as the canine's length popped in, the leopard's body tensing up for a moment after the initial penetration.

Rusty paused to allow his lover a moment to relax, before pushing his hips forward once more, letting inch by inch of his pulsing length squeeze into the tight passage. As he worked himself deeper, he slipped a paw between the leopard's legs, causing the cat to quiver gently as the fingers danced over his sensitive flesh.

Ken blushed intensely as he felt the thick length working into his body, grinding himself back against it eagerly. He closed his eyes and leaned his head back, nuzzling into the coyote's neck with a loving mrowl as that thick flesh settled into him. The filling sensation stopped only when he felt a familiar bulge lightly kiss his warm pucker. The coyote lightly drew back and pushed himself up against the leopard again, grinning as he kissed him between the ears.

"Would you like it slow and loving, or is my kitty in the mood for a good, hard fuck?"

Ken lightly pushed his hips back against the coyote's lap, his heart racing with anticipation. "You know how I like it, love."

The coyote grinned at this, nodding to the feline as he lightly nibbled one of his ears. "I thought so."

With that, Rusty pulled his hips back with a slow, tormenting motion. The leopard trembled as he felt the thick length withdrawing, but let out a sharp cry of pleasure as the horny canine abruptly pushed back inside. He reached back, firmly gripping Rusty's hips for support, even as the canine's arm wrapped snugly around his waist to keep him balanced. Ken squeezed lightly, kneading his fingers into the coyote's hips as the canine drew back and thrust in again.

Rusty slipped his muzzle over one of the leopard's round ears and slurped over it, nibbling along the base as he worked himself into a steady rhythm. He bounced the feline's body forward with each motion, his bushy tail wagging back and forth quickly behind himself. A deep, content groan escaped Ken's lips as his body grew warmer to the touch, rolling his hips forward each time the coyote drove himself inside.

The coyote growled lightly around the leopard's ear as his instincts took root, his paw tightening around the cat's dripping length. He drew his hips back and drove himself harder into the cat, nearly toppling him forward. He grunted with burning passion as the tight passage gripped and caressed over his thick canine length. His knot began to swell, pushing up against Ken's stretched pucker each thrust.

The submissive leopard growled out as the canine picked up the pace, the coyote's musky sac bouncing against his cheeks. He had to focus himself to keep from relaxing completely, wanting to let the canine have absolute control of him. He began to push himself back against Rusty's thrusts, panting rapidly as the thick length pushed deep.

Rusty adjusted his grip around the leopard's throbbing length, squeezing firmly around it and stroking down to the base. He circled around the base, pulling his paw back up to the tip, repeating the motion. Ken moaned out at the sudden shift, whining with burning desire as the sensations grew more intense. He knew that at this rate, it wouldn't be long before he burst. He squeezed firmly at the coyote's hips, and Rusty knew exactly what it meant without a word exchanged between the two.

The coyote let himself loose, pounding roughly into the leopard with increased fervor, slick pre leaking into the cat and causing lewd slurps with each motion they made. Ken squeezed and kneaded firmly over his lowers hips as they pistoned back and forth, feeling his peak drawing rapidly closer. He whimpered loudly, his heart pounding in his chest, his breath coming in short, rapid pants.

Rusty pushed firmly against the leopard's stretched hole, his swelling knot straining against it. He then tugged his hips back and pounded in again, another abrupt stop causing Ken to groan passionately. He pushed his hips back against the thick knot, his pucker spreading wider to try and accommodate the canine.

Rusty growled around the cat's ear, then go of it abruptly. He then bent down and wrapped his jaws around the leopard's scruff, tugging at it dominantly as he gave his hips a sudden, sharp push. There was a moment of resistance, and then his knot began to slide into the leopard's rear. Ken gasped loudly and nearly collapsed back against the coyote as he felt the thick, swollen bulb pop inside completely, tucking the canine's entire length inside of himself.

In that moment, Ken lost himself in pleasure, humping blinding against the canine's paw as it stroked heavily over his shaft. His length erupted with hot seed over the soft, shag rug as Rusty worked his hips back and forth in rapid, shallow thrusts grinding his knot up against the leopard's prostate. The leopard could do little but fidget and squirm helplessly.

Rusty gave an almost feral growl and bit down on Ken's scruff as his knot suddenly engorged in the leopard's body. He gave a firm push forward, tugging the cat against his body and causing Ken to bend backwards with a sudden overwhelming rush of pleasure. A warm surge of fluids rushed through the leopard's bowels as he felt the coyote emptying himself, sighing blissfully.

Rusty pushed his hips forward again, and then nudged at the leopard's shoulders with his chest. The motion was all Ken needed to let himself fall forward onto the rug, not seemed to notice the wet splotches of semen on the rug that soaked into his shirt. He stretched himself out, reaching up and tucking his arms beneath his head as the coyote settled in against him. The canine let go of Ken's neck, licking fondly at the place where he'd bitten down. He nuzzled into the spotted fur, hugging the leopard's waist.

"Mmmh, you're always...so wonderful, Ken," he spoke quietly to the cat between heavy breaths.

The leopard grinned, turning his head to give the coyote a kiss on the cheek as his panting slowed. "I enjoy making my pup happy."

Rusty chuckled softly at this, nuzzling the feline between the ears. "Oh, you enjoy it just as much for yourself, and you know it."

Ken laughed at this, lifting his rump a little and pushing back against the coyote. This caused Rusty to almost yip in surprise and squirm at the overwhelming sensation it gave his over-stimulated length. He growled playfully and bit at one of the leopard's ears, tugging at it with a smirk.

Satisfied with himself, Ken lightly flicked his captured ear against the coyote's teeth, yawning widely and purring. "Mmmh, I think it's a good time as any for a nap, since we're not going anywhere soon."

Rusty reached down, rubbing up and down the leopard's sides as the cat purred, roughing up the fur a little. "That sounds like a perfect idea to me, hun."

The leopard stretched out beneath the larger coyote, yawning widely again, then closed his eyes, enjoying the warmth of the canine's body against his own. "Don't let me sleep too long," he purred to Rusty, feeling himself slipping off to sleep already.

The coyote nodded, offering a kiss to the back of his neck. He then carefully rolled to the side, wrapping both arms snugly around the leopard's waist and pulling him in close, his legs lightly surrounding his lover as the two drifted into a deep slumber together.

* * * * * * *

Ken stirred and awakened with a drowsy yawn, propping himself up a little. He glanced around in darkness for a moment, his eyes not yet adjusted to the dim light cast by the pellet stove. The fire he had built had long since burned down, the embers glowing serenely. He reached up and rubbed his face lightly, yawning again as he sat up on the soft shag rug. He arched his back, but then his ears perked as he heard a soft grunt behind him. He gazed back over his shoulder, and then chuckled softly, seeing the coyote curled up comfortably, still fast asleep.

He reached over and lightly caressed Rusty's cheek, scratching through his soft fur before he stood up. He nearly tripped, realizing that his pants were still around his thighs from their earlier romp. He shook off sleepiness as he tugged them back up and buttoned up, making his way to the window, gazing out into the night. As usual, the two had slept much longer than intended, because neither of them had awakened. He sighed, watching a heavy flurry of snow fall to the ground, the thick flakes piling upon one another.

Ken made his way to the front door and pulled it open, stepping out onto the front porch and gazing out at the car. They were fortunate to have already brought in all their gear. Several inches of snow had fallen already, and it didn't look like the storm was going to let up any time soon. His tail flicked briskly behind himself as he shivered, then stepped back inside, closing the door behind himself.

He carefully made his way over to the firewood closet, pulling out several logs and carrying them over to the hearth, stacking them up in a nearby basket. He made another trip, pulling the door shut with his foot. The sound made Rusty stir on the warm rug, but he didn't seem to awaken.

Ken pulling the screen of the fireplace aside and threw in two logs, then leaned down and blew gently on the glowing embers. The logs began to smolder, and within a few moments a fire leapt up with an audible "whump."

Satisfied, he replaced the screen and sat back, cuddling up against his sleeping companion. He listened to the pop and crackle of the logs as they heated, gazing down at Rusty and petting his cheek again. He debated whether he should awaken him, or allow him to sleep. He pondered for a moment, but was interrupted by a soft "thump" on the roof.

His ears perked as he gazed up at the ceiling, the light growing in the room as the fire picked up. His eyes scanned over the beams that supported the roof, another thump catching his attention. His eyes darted to the corner of the cabin, his heart racing a little as he grew nervous. He reached down to lightly shake Rusty, who grunted loudly. The coyote pawed at him with a groan, trying to shake off his "attacker."

"Rusty, wake up!" the leopard said anxiously, shaking him harder now.

The coyote groaned again and opened his eyes, squinting as the intensity of the firelight caught his vision. "What?"

"Something's going on with the roof," he said, sitting back.

The coyote gave him a genuinely confused expression, sitting up a little as he gazed up at him. "It looks fine to me."

"Just wait," Ken said, holding up a paw to shush him. He sat in the silence, and as if on cue, a much louder thump rattled the roof lightly.

Rusty rolled his eyes, looking over at the leopard. "You've never been in the mountains in the winter, have you?"

Ken shook his head, his tail flicking back and forth quickly as another distinct thud lightly rattled the old timbers. "Not in the winter, no."

Rusty chuckled softly, standing up and stretching a little. He placed his paws behind his head, stretching back with a series of dull pops. "Come on. Follow me outside."

Ken nodded as he stood up, the pair making their way to the front door. Rusty opened the door and stepped out, whistling in astonishment at how heavily the snow was falling. He turned to Ken and took his paw, leading the leopard out into the snow several feet from the cabin, and then turning around. He gestured to the roof, then up at the large pine trees that loomed over the cabin.

"Watch," he said softly, pointing at the branches that were groaning under the weight of the snowfall.

The two stood in silence for a moment, the world eerily quiet with the soft fluff falling all around them. Then, there was a soft pop as a branch gave way far above. Ken's eyes scanned upward as a flurry of snow fell from the weak branch, knocking the branch below it and causing a chain reaction. The result was a cascade of dense snow that fell rapidly toward the cabin. It struck the shingled roof with a dull thud, before the majority of it slid to the ground.

Rusty laughed softly and gave Ken's shoulder a little nudge, pointing up at the trees. "See? It's nothing to worry about. It's just snow falling off the branches and hitting the roof. Considering how heavily it's snowing, we're probably gonna have that all night, and especially in the morning when it starts to warm up."

Ken nodded, giving the coyote's paw a little squeeze. He was then almost pulled off his feet as the coyote sharply tugged him.

"Hey, while we're out here, I wanna show you something!" he said excitedly, with a tone that Ken knew meant trouble.

The coyote pulled him along toward a small shack not far from the cabin. It seemed to be a storage shed of some sort, and barely seemed tall enough for either of them to stand up in. Rusty stepped up to it and reached down, cursing when he noticed a padlock.

"Uh, I hope pop remembered to put the padlock key on here," he said, fumbling through the cabin keys and inspecting them. He tried a few without success, but his last attempt resulted in a satisfying click.

"What's in the shed?" Ken asked curiously, shaking himself off as snow gathered on his shoulders and ears.

"Something that I think you're really going to enjoy this weekend," he said with a grin.

He pulled the padlock off and unlatched the door, setting the lock back on it, then pulling the heavy wood door open. It was dark, but inside Ken could clearly see a shining snowmobile that looked like it had scarcely been used. Rusty stepped inside the shed and fumbled around for a moment, then found a light switch and flicked it on. The two simultaneously shielded their eyes and groaned as light flooded their vision.

Ken blinked rapidly, rubbing his eyes with a grunt. "Jesus Christ, Rusty, next time warn me when you're going to do that."

"Sorry," the coyote replied apologetically. "I didn't think it was going to be that bright."

Ken stepped into the little shed, ducking down to avoid hitting his head on the doorframe. He smiled as he trailed a finger along the trim of the snowmobile, looking at the coyote standing on the other side of it.

"Is it fast?" he inquired curiously.

Rusty smirked at him, and as if the leopard needed an answer after that, he nodded. "You better believe it. Pop wasn't satisfied with the models they had in the ATV shop, so he ordered a few...ahem...custom parts."

"In that case, I'll drive. I don't trust you behind the controls of something like this."

The coyote stuck his tongue out at Ken, his bushy tail wagging back and forth. "We're not taking her out right now, anyway. We'd get hopelessly lost in no time flat, in this storm. Maybe we can in the morning, when the weather clears up."

Ken nodded, his eyes glancing around the shed. It contained all the usual machinery and tools he would expect to find in a storage shed; snow blower, shovels, yard implements, shop tools, etc. His eyes then fell upon a small wooden box in the corner. There was a hinged lid, and a heavy padlock locking it shut. He stepped over to it, ducking to avoid the shed light and bending down. The curiosity caught the coyote's attention.

"Find something, hun?" he asked, ducking around the edge of the snowmobile to peek. The coyote's eyes fell on the small wooden box, and he grinned. "Hey, I know what that is!"

Ken turned to gaze back at him, a questioning look on his face. "You know what this small, innocuous wooden box is that has a heavier lock on it than the door to this shed?"

Rusty laughed, nodding to him. "It has to do with pop's job. He works up here during the ski season, as an avalanche control expert."

Ken tilted his head to one side, gesture to the box. "And what does this little box have to do with his job?"

Rusty stepped over, glancing through his keychain. He thumbed through the keys, comparing them to the lock, chuckling. "Unfortunately, I don't think I'm gonna be able to show you, cuz pop is really careful about keeping his work keys with him at all times; even when he gives us access to the cabin."

"Well, do I at least get to know what's in the box?" the leopard asked inquisitively.

"I'm not out of tricks, yet," the coyote said with a knowing smirk. He fumbled around in his jacket, and then pulled out a rather bent hairpin and another piece of metal that Ken couldn't identify the source of.

"Wait, what are you doing?" Ken asked.

The coyote didn't reply as he carefully inserted the hairpin into the keyhole on the padlock, and with an expert flick of the second metal piece the padlock snapped open. Ken gaped at this as he watched Rusty pull the lock off the box.

"Where did you learn how to pick locks like that?" he demanded, gazing down at the coyote, who only gave him an impish grin. "Actually, never mind. I don't want to know."

Rusty flipped up the latch on the box, and then gazed up at Ken with a grin as he eased the top of the box open. "This...is what this box has to do with my pop's job."

Ken leaned over and gazed down into the box, then gasped at the contents. "Are those...?"

Rusty nodded. Inside of the box were dozens of yellow cylinders, with several inches of wire dangling from them. They were clearly labeled as explosives in several languages. Each of the wires was covered with a protective rubberized sheath.

"They're called hand charges. They use these to deliberately start avalanches on the ski slopes."

As nervous as he was about standing over a box of high explosives, the leopard's curiosity did get the best of him. "How do they work?"

Rusty reached down, carefully picking one up from the box and pointing to the fuse. "They have this little safety fuse here. You pull the end like a party favor, and it lights the fuse. Then you have a minute and a half to ski like hell."

"That sounds dangerous," he replied.

"Well, they plan all this out well in advance. So pop always knows exactly where to string up the charges, and what path to take down the mountain to avoid the avalanche. And the pay is great, from what he tells me," he said with a smirk.

"Well, you'd best put that back. Your dad's gonna be pissed if he finds out you got into his toys," Ken observed, sticking his tongue out at the coyote. "You shouldn't have opened it in the first place, if you knew that it was."

Rusty shrugged lightly as he held the yellow cylinder. "I just wanted to know you what my dad does for a living during the winter."

Rusty knelt down to place the charge back in the box, but was stopped abruptly by a resounding thud as his forehead came in contact with a shelf. His paw shot up to hold his forehead as he yelped, fumbling the explosive charge in the process. Ken immediately dove for cover as if it was a live grenade. As far as he was concerned, it was.

The charge fell out of Rusty's paw and clattered to the floor, rolling around before bumping up against the leopard's foot. He immediately leapt out of the way, gazing down at it as his heart raced, panting heavily. Both froze in place, staring at the charge as if expecting it to explode. After a few moments of absolute silence, Rusty sighed and reached down, picking up the charge in one paw and holding his head with the other. He cautiously set it in the box with the rest, then flipped the lid shut and placed the bolt back on.

"That was close," he muttered, the fur on his tail puffed out like a bottle brush.

"Yeah, next time be a little more careful. I didn't come all this way just to get blown up," the leopard scolded. "Let's head inside and make sure your head is okay."

Rusty nodded, standing up slowly and making his way to the door. He peeked over his shoulder briefly, grinning to himself as a sinister prank unfolded in his mind. Surely his dad wouldn't miss one.

* * * * * * *

Rusty woke up to bright sunlight streaming in through the front window. He sat up in bed, stretching out and yawning. He licked his lips gently, glancing down and smiling as Ken slept soundly, curled up next to where the coyote had just been resting. He lightly scratched him behind the ears, then slid himself over to the edge of the bed and let his feet down. He slid out of bed and stood up, reaching down and grabbing his clothes and getting dressed.

He peered back at the bed to ensure that Ken was still asleep, chuckling to himself as he hoped onto the ladder that lead up from the living room to the loft, where their bed was situated. He climbed down and landed on the floor with a light plop, making his way to the front door. The coyote peered up at the loft as he carefully opened the door and pushed it open, listening for any sounds of movement. Satisfied that the leopard was still slumbering, he slipped out the front door and cautiously pressed it shut.

Rusty turned once the door was closed, then stopped in place as he gazed out at the scene that greeted his eyes. The storm had not let up during the night, leaving behind quite a bit more new snow than he had expected. The Jeep was practically camouflaged beneath a blanket of white snow at least a foot thick. The tracks they had left walking to the shed were nearly nonexistent.

The coyote stepped off the porch, landing in the deep snow with a wet crunch. He waded through the thick fluff as he pressed toward the shed, leaving deep ruts in his wake. He slid the padlock off, as he'd left in unlocked the previous night, and pulled the door open. He stepped inside, making his way over to the inconspicuous box in the corner and removing the padlock. He had pretended to lock it while Ken was watching, but he hadn't pressed it completely closed. He lifted the lid and reached into the box, pulling out one of his father's charges. He grinned as he closed the box once more, replacing the padlock and latching it fully this time.

"I hope Ken doesn't mind his wakeup call," he hummed to himself as he stepped away from the box. He slung his leg over the shining snowmobile and slid the key into the ignition, and was about to turn it when he stopped himself.

"No, he'll hear this thing," he muttered to himself. "Guess I'll have to do it the hard way."

The coyote whistled cheerfully as he slid off the snowmobile and locked up the shed. He lightly kicked snow off his boots, and then trudged through the snow to the side of the cabin, where the mountain began to slope sharply upward. He glanced to his right, spotting a red sled propped up against the edge of the cabin, then smiled. That would be useful. He stepped over and snatched the small, plastic sled, tossing it over his shoulder and clutching it by the rope.

"This better be worth it," he said to himself as he began to climb the hill above the cabin, stepping carefully to avoid slipping on the wet snow.

It took him about five minutes of climbing to get where he needed to be. He gazed down at the cabin far below, humming as he nodded. He was far enough away that the charge wouldn't cause any harm, but close enough that the thump of the explosion would give the leopard a rather abrupt wakeup call.

He wasn't exactly sure how the charges were used, so he knelt down and dug a little hole in the snow, setting the charge inside so it wouldn't roll away. He set the sled on the ground, stepping on it with a foot to ensure it wouldn't leave without him, and then carefully removed the rubberized sheath from the safety fuse.

"Here goes," he said to himself, grabbing the brown sleeve at the end of the fuse and giving a sharp tug.

The starter pack hissed noisily as the igniter flared up, followed by a jet of white smoke that rose from the end of the fuse. Rust pulled his leg out of the snow and tugged it into the sled, gripping the rope tightly as the fuse hissed behind him. He gave a little hop, and within a moment the sled slid forward over the surface of the snow, carving a narrow path as it picked up speed down the hill.

Rusty pulled tightly on the "reins", pulling the nose of the sled up a little and picking up even more speed. He let out a howl and several barks, hollering like a feral dog as he sped down the snowy slope. As he quickly neared the bottom of the hill, he realized just how fast he was going, and particularly how quickly the roof of the cabin was approaching.

"Shit!" he yelled out, pulling his legs out of the sled and stomping down firmly into the snow.

The coyote was nearly yanked out of the sled as his boots dug deep ruts into the snow, leaning back to keep himself from diving headfirst into the snow. He tugged back sharply on the rope, nearly lifting the sled completely out of the snow as he slowed himself abruptly. Satisfied, he leapt to his feet and began running down the hill, having difficulty in the deep snow, and leaving the sled behind entirely.

He raced down alongside the cabin, and onto the porch, his heart racing. In the back of his mind, he wondered if what he had just done had been such a smart idea. He was more excited, however, to see the look on his lover's face. He pulled the front door open, kicked off his boots, then stepped inside and closed it behind himself.

The coyote heard a rustling from the loft as he quickly pulled off his boots, climbing the ladder up to the loft. He slid into bed next to the leopard, who seemed to be waking up now. He reached down and lightly scratched him behind the ears, smiling brightly as he wondered how long it had taken him to get down to the cabin. It had probably been no more than twenty seconds or so.

The leopard stirred beneath the blankets and stretched, yawning widely as he groaned. His eyed fluttered open for a moment, then closed once more. He inhaled deeply through his nose, and then rolled over to face away from Rusty. The coyote chuckled softly to himself, sitting back on the bed and idly ticking away the seconds in his head. Ken was always reluctant to wake up in the morning, but he would be out bed soon enough.

When he reached a minute in his head, or what he thought was a minute, Rusty's smile grew as he gave the leopard a gentle shake to disturb him. "Wakey-wakey, hun. It's time to get up."

The leopard groaned again, curling up a little. He then rolled over to face the coyote, opening his eyes and gazing up at him. He smiled lightly, his tail draped over the edge of the bed. "Well, good mo-"

WHUMP!

The cabin shuddered and creaked as a dull thud echoed through the valley, and the leopard sat upright. His eyes shot around as he tried to identify the source of the shock. The coyote smirked as he watched, trying to hold back his laughter.

"Good morning to you t-"

The coyote cut himself off as the cabin began to rumble lightly. He could hear various small objects clattering noisily throughout the cabin, the steady rumble building in intensity. Ken put his paws down firmly on the bed, feeling a vibration growing stronger by the moment.

"Rusty, what's going on?" he said quickly, his ears swiveling this way and that as the cabin began to quake lightly, the dull rumble growing to a distinct roar.

Rusty held his breath as he felt the cabin shaking, then grabbed Ken firmly around the waist and threw them off the bed. "GET DOWN!"

There was a deafening crash as they hit the floor, and the cabin shook violently, the rafters groaning. The roof of the cabin bowed heavily as Rusty kept close to the edge of the bed. The queen bed slid several inches, the room growing suddenly dark. The heavy rumble continued as the leopard clung tightly to the coyote, the sound of breaking glass filling their ears as the front window shattered.

As quickly as it had come, the violent shaking slacked, and then stopped entirely. The two were left in absolute darkness, the deafening roar replaced by the creaking of beams as the cabin settled from the sudden shock.

The two remained glued to one another, panting heavily, their hearts pounding in their ears. Rusty held the leopard protectively in his embrace as he lifted his head, gazing about in the darkness. He was surprised to find that it was pitch black in the cabin.

"Are you okay, hun?" he asked, nuzzling at the leopard gently.

Ken was nearly in tears with terror, nodding up at the coyote and hugging him tightly. "Y-yeah. I'm fine."

"Good. You wait here while I find us some light, and find out what just happened."

Rusty gave Ken a firm hug, and then carefully moved onto his hands and knees, feeling for the edge of the bed. He carefully made his way around it, and then fumbled around in the darkness for their packs. He found one of their duffel bags, reaching into a side pocket and pulling out a small flash light. He flicked it on, shining it up at the ceiling. None of the rafters seemed to be broken, and the roof was intact, if not a bit sagged.

He made his way to the edge of the loft and gazed down, shining the light into the darkness. The cabin was intact for the most part. Pictures had fallen off the walls, and the kitchen was a scattered mess. He shined the light toward the front window, and groaned. Snow and glass was strewn across the floor. As he tipped the light to the side, his blood went cold.

Snow.

His eyes followed the glass to where the window would have been, and he cringed. A solid wall of snow rested where the window had once been, a mound piled inside of the cabin at the window. He whimpered as he lowered the flashlight, his ears laying back.

"What's wrong, Rusty?" Ken asked, peering over the bed and gazing at the distraught coyote.

"We're trapped," he said, almost in a whisper.

Ken sat up abruptly, stuttering for a moment as he tried to find words to respond with. "We're what?"

"The cabin is completely blocked in by snow," the coyote replied quietly. "We're buried under an avalanche . . ."
