Chapter 5

Turning Point

Warning: The chapter is quite dark, and does contain some lighter ended rape and unwanted 'sexual interaction' (not penetration), though there's NO extreme violence, blood, or such stuff at all.

"What happened?!" Sapphire called out rushing down the alleyway, Frinda at her side. Sabetha slowly rose to her feet turning around to face Sapphire, her face covered in tears.

"T-Tremi! I heard her yell... but all I found was this," Sabetha said holding up the plastic bag with her trembling hand. Sapphire let out a gasp covering her mouth, her eyes locked on Sabetha's face.

"W-Well, she probably fell, or got lost! This is a pretty confusing town," Sapphire said with a reassuring smile. Sabetha hesitated looking down.

"M-Maybe... we should split up and find her, she couldn't have gone far," Sabetha said in a shaky tone wiping her face dry knowing now wasn't the time to get upset. Sapphire nodded her head in agreement turning away.

"Come on Frinny!" Sapphire said rushing off out of the Alley, Frinda quickly following her leaving Sabetha to her thoughts.

"I-I know I heard her here... but she never cries out, or yells from falling, not like that," Sabetha thought clenching the bag up to her chest closing her eyes. "It's my fault! If I didn't lose sight of her, I should have been paying more attention!" Sabetha thought almost about to break down into tears again not knowing what had happened to Tremi. But before she could break down into an emotional wreck, her pants began to vibrate causing her to look down at her belt. "E-Elisa?" she thought reaching down popping out Elisa's Pokeball, releasing her a few feet away.

"Elisa? Are you alright?" Sabetha asked in concern, letting out a shaky breath trying to calm herself down not wanting to upset Elisa.

"Abb!" Elisa cried out staring at her with glossy eyes. Sabetha hesitated looking back.

"I-I can't understand you without Tremi!" Sabetha exclaimed slouching over letting out a deep, shaky sigh. Just then a dangerous thought crossed her mind staring at a tree growing just beyond the fence at the far end of the Alley. "I... Tremi would be furious," Sabetha thought, shaking her head. "I don't care! I... I just know something bad happened to her! I don't care if this entire town turns on me as if I'm a monster, I'll not forsake my sister!" Sabetha thought looking up with fiery eyes rushing past Elisa, stopping at the fence. She let out a shaky sigh. "I don't know what happened, but I just have this feeling something terrible is going on," Sabetha thought closing her eyes, slipping her hands through the wide holes of the fence grabbing hold of the trees trunk.

"Oh... this change was always the weirdest!!" Sabetha cried out as a vortex of wind and leafs engulfed her. Elisa dug her claws into the dirty street sliding back a few feet from the intense winds. After a brief moment, the vortex suddenly vanishing as quickly as it appeared leaving a spinning Sabetha stumbling around trying to regain her balance.

"Phew," Sabetha muttered in a high pitched, squeaky voice holding her face with a hand. Her skin had turned to a light tan color. Small 'sprouts' had grown across her skin, her silky green hair remained but with a curly leaf protruding out from her forehead. Her ears had grown much longer, looking almost as if they were crisp leaves. Sabetha's gaze suddenly locked onto Elisa. "Elisa, tell me what's wrong," Sabetha said in her high pitched voice lowering her hand as the world finally stopped spinning.

"I," Elisa said in a low, uneasy tone peering over her shoulder obviously not feeling comfortable in this area at all. "I heard everything that happened... sort of. Inside those balls, it's really weird... but anyways," Elisa said shaking her head looking up at Sabetha.

"Did you see what happened to Tremi?" Sabetha asked quickly, Elisa shook her head. Sabetha's heart sank.

"B-But... that human," Elisa said in a scared tone having difficulty getting the words out.

"That human? What human? We passed hundreds of them, Elisa," Sabetha said feeling impatient. Elisa suddenly walked forwards nuzzling the bag still in Sabetha's hand.

"The human you got this from," Elisa said stepping back. Sabetha stared down at the bag with her big, brown eyes.

"What... what about him?" She asked in a slow, uneasy tone staring at Elisa.

"...He's one of the bad humans," Elisa said quietly. Sabetha's eyes bulged, an icy flash tingled across her skin remembering the man commenting about Tremi.

"A-Are you certain Elisa?" Sabetha asked crouching down staring at Elisa with fearful eyes. She slowly nodded her head looking to one side with half closed, shame filled eyes.

"...I wouldn't forget his voice... he was one of the human's who I was forced to give service to," Elisa said in a hushed tone. Sabetha stared off blankly.

"B-But... are you certain they would try something?!" Sabetha asked in fear. Elisa looked up at her.

"Yes. They seek rare and exotic Pokemon especially, and Tremi talked in front of him... they wouldn't let such a rare chance leave the town," Elisa said in a shaky tone. Sabetha's hands clenched together slowly rising to her feet.

"That... that bastard," Sabetha growled walking past Elisa, who gasped.

"Wait! You cannot go out into the view of humans, they have eyes everywhere! You will be targeted and taken too!" Elisa said in a fearful tone. Sabetha stopped near the entrance of the alley looking back at Elisa with eyes seething with rage, rage that she had been so... naive to trust without doubt like she had when she was taken all those years ago.

"Let the entire world try and take me, Elisa. My best friend has been taking by a group of monsters... I will NOT let her come to harm. I owe my life to her, and if needed, I will give it up to save her," Sabetha said in a low tone storming out into the city square in plain view. Elisa let out an uneasy whimper looking back over her shoulder, before letting out a shaky sigh chasing after Sabetha.

"Oh my! What is that?" a woman asked staring at Sabetha as she walked by, ignoring the stares and comments she was receiving with Elisa at her side.

"It must be a new advertising mascot! Bravo! Such amazing details it almost looks real!" a plump man exclaimed clapping his hands smiling at Sabetha as she walked by. Sabetha gritted her teeth trying desperately to keep focused and not let her insecurities kick in.

"Humans... they treat you like an outcast when appearing like this, why?" Elisa asked not understanding as the pair turned a corner pushing by a few humans. Sabetha sighed weakly.

"Human's are not tolerant of anything different then themselves, even if I am just like them beyond my appearance," Sabetha said in a quiet, uneasy tone stopping at the corner Grocers staring through the windows at the man in the far back talking with a lady, a sensation of rage boiling inside of her.

"...We're not leaving here until I have answers, Elisa... you don't need to stay out, I know how you feel," Sabetha said glancing down at Elisa.

"N-No... sigh... I can't allow my past to haunt me forever, I can't run away... I would be a poor friend if I did," She said smiling shakily at Sabetha, who smiled back.

"You're right. Running away isn't going to solve anything. You must look at the future, at the can be... let's go," Sabetha in a determined tone pushing the door open, the rattle of chimes rung loudly.

"Welcom-...?" the Grocer called out, his hand in the air as if to wave, but instead he stared at Sabetha with shock seeing her glaring at him with her dark brown eyes. "W-What in the world?!" the man exclaimed taking his spectacles off staring at Sabetha as she approached.

"Welcome?! Is that what you say to all the people you lie and deceive?!" Sabetha shouted grabbing the man by the collar, violently lifting him into the air causing nearby customers to cry out in shock rushing out of the shop.

"W-What?!" the man gasped in shock hanging over the counter staring at Sabetha with wide, fear filled eyes.

"You're one of those filthy monsters who works at this Pokemon sex trade, right?!" Sabetha shouted angrily.

"N-No! I am a simple Grocer, that's it!" the man pleaded with a terrified look on his face. Sabetha glared at him knowing he was lying seeing a profuse sweat on his forehead upon mentioning that. Sabetha suddenly yanked him forwards dropping him onto the ground. Elisa stepped back cowering fearfully.

"T-That's him," Elisa whimpered fearfully as the man stared at her with wide eyes.

"W-What?! You escaped and were supposed to be dead!" the man exclaimed seemingly surprised to see Elisa still alive. Sabetha completely lost it.

"You piece of trash! How dare you say that to her!!" Sabetha shouted reaching down grabbing the man by his collar, literally hoisting him off the ground throwing him clear over her shoulders sending him smashing into the shelves on the far side of the shop, falling to the floor groaning in pain. Elisa stared at Sabetha with wide, shocked eyes that she would react so harshly to such a comment.

"You are filth lower then any human, Pokemon, or even the dirt on my SHOES!" Sabetha shouted storming across the store towards him. The man coughed loudly, slowly sitting up resting himself up against the wall, his spectacles crooked on his nose. "Now tell me where these people took Tremi, or so help me I'll do this world a favor and remove you for good," Sabetha said glaring down at him holding out her left arm, a sharp razor like leaf was on her wrist. The man's eyes widened in fear, looking up at her.

"T-The park!" he exclaimed raising his hands up to shield himself, "t-there's a large section of bushes directly north of the Fountain in the park! T-The entrance is there, it's hidden, but it's there I swear! J-Just please don't kill me!" Sabetha grunted, turning her back to the man.

"I wouldn't stoop as low to kill someone like you... it would make me worse than trash like you," Sabetha said in a cold, harsh tone storming off out of the store, Elisa quickly following her.

"W-What the hell was that...?" the man thought holding his chest panting heavily, his face stricken with fear.

"Sabetha... were you really going to kill him?" Elisa asked looking up at the morphed girl as they made their way towards the park after reading a sign.

"H-Hahahaha, no... I was just really upset how he talked about you as if you were something to be thrown away, as if garbage," Sabetha said with a weak smile ignoring the whispers from the crowd forming behind her.

"But... I am disposable," Elisa said quietly looking down at the ground as she walked. "I was born only for one purpose, I am useless if I don't service that purpose," Elisa said in a low, depressed tone.

"Well, did you enjoy it while there?" Sabetha asked. Elisa's eyes widened slightly, shaking her head.

"Then there you go! That wasn't your purpose in life. Everyone is destined to do something in their lives, and when you find it, you'll feel an undeniable happiness for it," Sabetha said encouraging Elisa, stopping at the entrance of a vibrant forested park.

"You! Stop right there!" a commanding voice called out causing the pair to turn around.

"Who is that?" Sabetha whispered staring at a woman dressed in blue pushing her way through the crowd forcefully. Elisa hesitated stepping back.

"T-That's the Warden of the town, I heard the bad humans insulting how stupid she is even showing pictures to us as if to mock her," Elisa said in a spiteful tone with a frown on her face.

"You. What are you?" the woman asked pointing at Sabetha with a finger less then an inch away from her eyes. Sabetha frowned.

"That's a rather rude tone," Sabetha said staring at the woman, who stared at Sabetha with surprise half expecting her not to be able to talk.

"Your appearance is causing a possibly destructive, and intrusive gathering of citizens. If this is a disguise, please remove it, you are violating the law by causing such an up rise," the woman said sternly continuing to point at Sabetha with a slightly arched forward posture. Sabetha gritted her teeth closing her eyes.

"Why?! Why am I treated like a monster, a freak just because I look different?! Do I not speak like you all?! Do I not feel pain and compassion like any of you?!" Sabetha shouted causing the crowd that had formed to back away from her outburst, she panted heavily. The Warden's expression had faded into a sympathetic one, her finger lowering down.

"I never meant you were a monster," she said in much more soft, thoughtful tone staring at Sabetha with a hand on her right hip. "But this is an issue that needs to be resolved none the less," the Warden said glancing over her shoulder at the crowd listening intently.

"There's no time!" Sabetha exclaimed being fearful of Tremi's safety.

~*~ after a few moments of explaining the situation ~*~

"...Yes, I know of this brutish gang of thugs. I have heard many rumors of them residing in this very town, but there has never been any evidence found to prove such claims."

"I know where they are! She is one of the Pokemon who was held at their lair," Sabetha said pointing down at Elisa. The Warden stared at Sabetha as if sizing her up, a skeptical look on her face.

"You claim to be able to talk with Pokemon?" The Warden asked, Sabetha flinched.

"That doesn't matter now! My friend may have been taken by them, will you help?" Sabetha asked in a pleading tone. The Woman smirked.

"My name isn't 'you', it's Warden Officer Jennifer," Jennifer said proudly.

"Then Ms. Jennifer, please! There hideout is in this park, to the north of a fountain deep in some bushes! I was just on my way to confirm this," Sabetha said pointing back at the Park. Jennifer sighed, shaking her head.

"No. If this truly is the hideout of the nefarious Black Maw Gang, you as civilians cannot be allowed near it. You could be severely harmed, or worse," Jennifer said in a stern tone staring at Sabetha, who looked down silently.

"I won't leave my friend in that hellish place!!" Sabetha shouted turning around breaking out into an incredibly quick sprint. Elisa gasped, scrambling to chase after her.

"Wait!" Jennifer called out, but Sabetha ignored her and disappeared into the thick brush. "Damnit!" Jennifer snapped with a worried look on her face turning around. "Alright, alright! Shows over, all of you, back to your business! If this crowd isn't gone in two minutes I'll arrest those left as peace disturbers!" she called out trying to disperse the mob looking over her shoulder in concern.

"How long will you stay like this for?" Elisa asked ducking under a low shrub as the pair trudged through the dense brush looking for the supposed entrance.

"Anything that is plant life triggers it... anytime I 'touch' stuff like these bushes, it resets the timer on when I actually turn back to normal," Sabetha explained holding a hand over her eyes peering out across the dense forest letting out a hopeless sigh. "But it's going to be impossible to find a darn entrance in this mess! What are we looking for? A ladder to a tree house? A hole? Stairs? A building?! ARGH!" Sabetha grabbing her head in frustration feeling every second she wasted was another second her friend could be suffering.

"Wait... I smell something familiar," Elisa muttered sniffing the air, shuffling off into the bushes.

"Hey! Wait up, I'm not tiny like you!" Sabetha called out, crying out as a branch smacked her in the face sending her crashing to the ground. She whimpered loudly grabbing her nose.

"Yes! It's here, I can smell the stench that lingers inside!" Elisa's voice called out. Sabetha's eyes widened leaping up to her feet pushing through the thick brush with an upraised arm to shield her face, stumbling to a stop in a small clearing of the brush.

"Where?" Sabetha asked watching Elisa circling the area, her nose to the ground. Elisa suddenly leaned down biting hold of the grass below letting out a soft grunt digging her feet into the ground as she pulled back a heavy mat, a flicker of sparks and distorted light lit up on the 'pad' of material.

"What?! A holographic projector?!" Sabetha exclaimed wide eyed in shock having only seen it on TV a few years ago watching Elisa let go of the mat, a barrage of circuits and lights flicker on the underneath of it. A row of thick, heavy looking stairs led down into the ground.

"...These humans are very wealthy because of their exploitation of me and the others who are kept prisoner here," Elisa said in a low, uneasy tone.

"Elisa, if you don't want to come down there with me, I understand," Sabetha said in a reassuring tone. Elisa shook her head staring at Sabetha with a serious look.

"I want to help you. I want to help the others... to stop this. I won't let them get away with what they did to me and the others!" Elisa exclaimed causing Sabetha to smile.

"Thank you Elisa... we'll make sure to right this wrong!" Sabetha exclaimed with a determined look on her face quickly making her way down into the dark recesses of the earth.

"Wow, this is really high-tech," Sabetha muttered looking around a large room made of dark purple metal. Various pieces of furniture and pictures lined the walls. A hall could be seen just off to the left of the room. Six shiny silver doors could be made out in the hall with three doors on each side, small flickering panels beside them.

"T-This is the 'Client Hall'... where we were taken when someone wanted our 'company'," Elisa said in a low, shame filled tone with closed eyes having terrible memories of this place. An angry frown grew across Sabetha's face hearing noise coming from the hall realizing there was something happening at his moment.

"We'll just put an end to these 'clients' then!" Sabetha snapped walking down the hall. Elisa chased after her.

"N-No! Many powerful Trainers and their Pokemon come here to relieve their urges. If we provoke them, we will be defeated very quickly, I was kept very weak so I could not resist," Elisa said looking up at Sabetha with fearful eyes who was staring at the panel of flickering lights. Sabetha frowned seemingly getting annoyed not understanding the complex piece of technology keeping the door shut. "Please, you... you do not wish to see the humiliation we are put through," Elisa said quietly. Sabetha frowned stepping back raising her arm up over her head.

"I want to see the monsters who would make you do such humiliating things in the FIRST PLACE!" Sabetha shouted bringing down the razor sharp leaf on her forearm slashing through the console without effort sending a spray of sparks outwards. Elisa yelped in surprise stumbling back as the door to the first room slid open.

"Hahahaha, that's right my little bunny, suck it nice and slowly, no need to rush," a plump man said laughing in amusement watching a Lopunny between his legs reluctantly sucking him off. He wore a royal purple, silk robe sitting on a rather elegant looking chair beside a massive bed. The walls were a soft pink with gold filigree making a floral design on it. On the far left side of the room was a table with an array of instruments and containers setup for convenient use of the 'client' if they so wished to use them on themselves, or their 'guests'.

"You fat piece of filth!!" Sabetha shouted stepping into the room pointing at the man.

"What?! Who are you! Get the hell out of here damnit!!" the man shouted in a furious rage stumbling to his feet kicking the Lopunny to the ground carelessly. Sabetha growled viciously glancing down at the Lopunny who had crawled away cowering near the bed.

"Damn beast! I'll teach you to disturb ME!" the man shouted in a deep, piggish tone rushing at her with thick, sausage like arms outstretched aiming at Sabetha.

"Beast? At least a beast has dignity!" Sabetha shouted crouching down thrusting her left arm back, lunging forwards impaling her fist into the man's oversized gullet stopping him dead in his tracks, his blood shot eyes shooting out letting out a breathless wheeze, falling to his side being knocked old cold from the powerful blow.

"Don't worry, we're not here to do those bad things to you," Sabetha said crouching down beside the Lopunny, a kind, caring smile on her face. The Lopunny cautiously lowered an arm away from it's head staring at Sabetha with a hesitant look, staring at Sabetha's strange appearance. "I know I look strange, and I know you can understand me... please, trust me," Sabetha said smiling reaching out a hand affectionately running a hand down the Pokemon's head, it's arms lowering now staring at Sabetha with a surprised look, not understanding why she was being so thoughtful. "The exit out of this dark, horrible place is open. Please, escape! There will be good humans there to help you, I promise," Sabetha said rising to her feed helping the Pokemon up.

"...T-Thank you," it said in a high pitched, yet scared tone glancing down at Elisa before quickly running out of the room. Sabetha let out a slow, deep sigh turning around looking down at Elisa with a small frown on her face.

"I can't believe there are people who would do such vile things to Pokemon," Sabetha said in a disgusted tone.

"How... did you," Elisa asked with wide, shocked eyes staring at the man unconscious on the ground.

"Hmph... when I change I get quite a bit stronger physically as well. Though this form isn't one of my strongest, it's still far stronger then I am normally," Sabetha said grinning rolling her wrist feeling a dull pain in it. "But enough of this. One down, many more to go!" Sabetha exclaimed rushing out of the room not going to let this continue any longer.

"AGH!" a young man with short, spiked brown hair cried out as he collided with a wall on the far side of the room.

"Come on! Run for it!" Sabetha exclaimed helping a Chansey to it's feet pointing at the door. It looked at her with surprised eyes, before smiling cheerfully nodding it's egg shaped head, quickly waddling out of the room. "Sigh... and that's the last of them," Sabetha said clapping her hands clean of dirt.

"Y-You... you've shown a compassion no other human ever has for any of us," Elisa said in a shaky tone as if going to break down in tears staring at Sabetha with glossy eyes, her lip trembling. Sabetha giggled at Elisa's expression.

"I'm not a human right now, I'm more of a Pokemon. Just helping my comrades," Sabetha said winking at Elisa stepping out into the hall. A shaky smile grew across Elisa's face wiping her eyes with a paw following after her.

"I'm relieved that Tremi wasn't in one of those cells. She could never do such... indecent acts," Sabetha said feeling uneasy remember the scenes she had just encountered still fresh on her mind.

"There they are!" a voice called out causing the pair to turn around, Sabetha's eyes widened as an icy chill ran through her spine.

"T-That symbol...?!" Sabetha stuttered with horror filled eyes staring at a large golden 'L' on the chest of two men wearing Lucid green uniforms. Uniforms that look identical to that woman in the past.

"You... you are the ones who did this to me... who destroyed my life all those years ago," Sabetha said in a low, dark tone, a shadow had fallen over her face.

"Enough talk, Sneasel, go!" one of the men shouted hurling a Pokeball towards Sabetha and Elisa, a short, clawed Pokemon appeared.

"Snee!" the Pokemon called out raising up a pair of thick, razor sharp claws.

"Unforgivable," Sabetha muttered in a low tone slowly shifting her gaze up staring at them with a look completely unlike her own. A look of pure hatred.

"Sabetha, I will try to stop it, don't worr-?!" Elisa was cut off as she walked towards the Pokemon, Sabetha suddenly zipped past her.

"W-What the hell is that thing doing?!" one of the men shouted in surprise. Sabetha frowned viciously side stepped a slash by the Sneasel, sliding to a stop just behind it, bringing the back of her foot up smashing it into the Pokemon's head sending it tumbling and crashing down the hallway.

"Unforgivable!" Sabetha shouted glaring at the men with eyes filled of hatred and rage for what had been done to her all those years ago.

"D-Damnit! Get another one out!" one of the men shouted reaching out to their side to pull out another Pokeball.

"YOU MONGRELS WILL REGRET EVER MEETING ME!!" Sabetha shouted delivering a powerful uppercut to one of the mens jaws sending them flying backwards down the stairwell they had just came up from.

"A-Ahhh!!" the other man screamed stumbling back, before leaping down the stairwell to escape. Sabetha's breathing began to grow heavier and heavier as she suddenly reached up grabbing hold of her head.

"S-Sabetha, what's wrong?" Elisa asked in a shaky tone stepping up to beside her, but Sabetha stared off with unfocused eyes, sweat dripping down her forehead.

"They are the one's who did this... that symbol... that woman had it... talking about how she will turn me into a Pokemon, exploiting my childish dreams... deceiving me with that fake smile...!" Sabetha said her breathing becoming quick and shallow, "AND TWISTED MY CHILDISH DREAMS INTO A NIGHTMARE!!!" Sabetha smashed her fist into the metal wall nearby forming a dent on it. Elisa literally jumped into the air, backing away in fear from Sabetha.

"S-Sabetha! Please stop this... you're not acting like yourself!" Elisa pleaded in a terrified tone. Sabetha froze in place, glancing over her shoulder at Elisa seeing how scared she was. Sabetha let out a deep, shaky sigh looking on ahead.

"...I won't hurt you, Elisa," Sabetha whispered and without another word, descended the stairwell ahead. Elisa stared at the stairwell with wide, concerned eyes.

"What... what just happened?" She thought.

"Where could Tremi be?!" Sabetha thought looking around a very wide room. There was a few entrances along the walls, but nothing of note in the room beyond the checker board colored tiles lining the floor. "What... what if she wasn't taken by them? What if someone else took her? Or if she really did just fall down, and is out there with Sapphire right now," Sabetha thought feeling a deep unease at that thought letting out a shaky sigh as she stepped out onto the strange floor.

"Sabetha, wait!" Elisa called out quickly descending the stairs the best she could finding it rather difficulty with four legs, but she was too late as a bright light lit up on the tile under Sabetha's foot, a square bubble of light suddenly wrapping itself around the girl trapping her.

"W-What in the?!" Sabetha cried out sitting up smacking a fist against the strange barrier of light causing a sound very much like waving a sheet of metal.

"It's a security measure to stop us from escaping... you need to walk on the black tiles only, or it triggers this... thing," Elisa muttered poking the strange cage with a claw, a curious look on her face.

"Well, how do I get out?!" Sabetha exclaimed getting very frustrated being trapped like a rat. Elisa looked around cautiously raising a claw to her lips.

"Shh! You'll draw the guards if you be too loud," she said warningly. Sabetha flinched, falling back onto her butt crossing her arms grumbling angrily. "I think there's a control panel somewhere to deactivate this. I'll go check, keep quiet!" Elisa said holding a claw up to her lips again, Sabetha glared at her.

"Stop being cheeky and go!" Sabetha snapped staring at Elisa with squinted eyes. Elisa grinned as she turned around running off into a nearby room.

~*~ A couple of minutes pass...~*~

"Great, stuck in a bubble... not how I thought I would end up," Sabetha grumbled with her head propped up in her hand leaning to one side.

"Oh, and who do we have here?" a soft, feminine voice asked, the sound of something clanking across the tiles echoed out causing Sabetha to look back quickly.

"Who are you?!" Sabetha asked seeing a woman in a white lab coat crouched down at the far side of the strange cell. Her hair was a lime green with a thick double-braided ponytail similar to Sabetha's, but much longer reach down near her waist. The woman stared at Sabetha with a pair of amber eyes, a small smile on her face. A pair of stylish glasses adorned her face.

"Who am I? I believe I asked first," the woman said holding up the back of her hand to her face snickering.
