Potion Cat: Warmth With a Kiss
#8 of Potion Cat(Reboot)
Layne needs to brew herself some potions of a certain type that will help her during the chilly seasons to come when an old friend comes to visit with a nervous heart and two requests. Of course the feline is more than thrilled to fufill those requests with something extra just from her.
Autumn had come in full force around the potion maker's store and hill. The leaves in the trees had turned to a crisp orange and had begun falling off one by one. The potion maker herself stood just outside of her door brushing leaves from the front entrance of her cottage and looking out toward the forest with a small smile. She wore a dress of black with long sleeves and a scarf around her neck to keep her warm from the chill breeze flowing around the hill. A stray gust of wind caused her to bring a paw up to hold on to her hat and look towards the direction with one eye closed and a snicker touching her features as the rest of the leaves blocking the path up the hill to her store were blown away. Well, that was that chore done.
Layne sighed and stood with the broom held to her side as she looked down the hill and saw that everything was perfectly clean, except for a leaf which daintily fell from the trees and onto the path. Of course, she wouldn't be able to keep the path up to her store entirely clean, but at the very least she could clear the area just in front of her store. Really, she preferred the warmth of Spring, but at least Autumn had some sort of beauty. She just hoped that when they neared winter that there wouldn't be too much snow. If she wanted that, she would have just moved to Eefrin long ago. Satisfied with how things looked, she stretched and turned around to slip inside of her store to prepare for the day.
The black-furred feline stepped inside of her store and shut the door with her tail. She shivered off the last bits of the cool breeze from the outside and sighed happily as she started to feel the warmth of her home and store surround her. Stepping around her front counter she looked around at her shelves wondering if there were any potions that she needed to stock or any ingredients that she needed for said mixtures. Feeling a sudden draft drive cool air over her tail she shivered and remembered that there was a potion just for the season that she needed to get making. Warmth.
Warmth was a special type of potion, a sort of fire in a bottle that could be kept close to one's person in small vials in order to stave the cold away, or it could be drank in order to restore vitality and heal fatigue. Of course, Layne only ever made it during the cold months because she liked to keep one for herself, but another reason was that the process of making them turned her lab into a boiling hellscape worse than any dessert or summer heat. It was only during the cold months that she appreciated having such a hot place to hide away. Rubbing her chin she wondered if she should close down shop and make a batch now, or if she should wait until the night. It was on this train of thought that she heard a knocking at the door to her store.
The potion maker tilted her head and leaned forward as she heard the knocking again. She had put the sign to open, hadn't she? Clearing her throat she called out, "Doors open! You're free to come in!"
Again the knocking kept on sounding off and Layne moved from around her front counter to check who in the world could be knocking at her door. Just at her door, she smoothed the sides of her dress down before taking hold of the knob and opening it to see who was on the other side.
Layne's eyes met with a dear old friend holding a crate in their arms. A moth stood just a little taller than Layne with fiery orange eyes and two fuzzy antennae at the top of his head. He wore a sleeveless robe of deep green and his arms were a deep black spotted with flecks of grey. At his back, his orange wings were folded around him like a cloak. Layne beamed as she saw this familiar figure standing before her. If she remembered correctly, this moth was the herbalist from the village. She remembered him in particular because he had started out as an apprentice before taking over that store and as an apprentice, he had snuck her out some choice herbs that she needed when she was younger. What was his name again? Ah yes.
"Silas! What brings you around to my store? Do you need anything? Anything at all. I remember what you've done for me so don't think I'll charge you anything at all for what you'll do for me."
Silas blinked for a moment before she saw a splash of color touch his cheeks. He recoiled and she could see the crest of orange fluff around his neck puffing up just a bit, "I uh. Hello to you too Layne. I-I just came here to ask if you could make uh, some warmth potions. I even brought the materials here if you needed and uh, well, I even have some extra cash. I...I also just wanted to talk...It's been a while y'know?"
Layne touched paw to her lip and controlled the growing smile. So he had come to request a potion and he wanted to talk. Perhaps the potion was an excuse and all he wanted was to have a little chit-chat. It would be rude to call him out on it so early and so instead she answered by taking the small crate from his arms and turning to step inside, "Come on in! You're always welcome here. I'm sorry I haven't visited you, I've just been so busy with the store that I haven't had time. I still have plenty of coin I need to return to you, y'know? You did a lot of good for me Silas."
Truth be told, Layne was more than just a little excited to see her old friend. She had been ruminating over the fact that she only ever received customers and so few visitors ever since Olea had left and she had been left to her own devices. It would be absolutely fantastic to have a little company over. Especially company so cute and so seemingly easy to tease.
Silas followed along and shut the door behind them, "Ah...That won't be necessary. I uh, I paid off what I gave to you a long time ago and I uh, I own the nursery and store and what not. I'm fine in funds too."
The feline nodded as she set the crate on her front counter, "Yes yes, I understand that, but I guess it's the principle of the thing. Anyway, I won't be charging for this batch since you brought the ingredients and you're well, a good friend. What is it that you wanted to talk to me about?"
When she turned her head, the moth was frozen in place and his cheeks were flush with color. He opened his mouth for a second as if he were going to say something, but he just couldn't seem to work through what he wanted to say. One of the potion maker's ears flicked and she suddenly felt the tangible presence of the moth's nerves creeping up her tail and so she cleared her throat, "Well, whatever it is, we can talk about it in my lab."
That broke him out of his silent stupor and his eyes seemed to brighten a bit at the mention of her lab, "A lab? You have one? But I thought you did all your mixing in your store a-and I didn't see any big new rooms attached to your cottage."
Layne grinned, "Hah! Well, you're about to see something special, and just a little bit secret so keep your mouth shut about it."
Silas tilted his head and Layne motioned for him to come around the front counter with her. She walked until she was on the right spot and she tapped her foot on the floor and a circle of light appeared. She had made some modifications to her little transport circle so that there shouldn't be any motion sickness.
"Bring the box and come stand with me dear." She said while kneeling down.
Layne waited until Silas was on the circle with the crate in his arms and she very gently touched the edge of the circle with her paw and she willed just a bit of magic in it. With that done, the circle burned bright with the blue of her magic and the potion maker and moth disappeared together in a flash of blue.
When they appeared, it was at her lab beneath her store. Hard stone lined the floors and there were plants all about to light the lab. She shivered as she stepped out of the circle and found that it was colder here than it was up in her store, but that would be solved soon enough.
Layne turned around just in time to see Silas stepping out of the circle in her lab with bright wide eyes. She stepped to him and leaned in close to stare into his eyes and he fumbled with the crate as he was forced to make deep eye contact with the potion making feline. While Silas remained still and perhaps tried to think of what to say, Layne asked, "Are you okay?"
Silas looked down at himself before looking back to the potion maker, "I'm...I think so? Should I not be?"
Layne tossed the idea in her head from side to side whether or not she should be telling him that just a few days ago using the circle would have meant needing a few moments to remember that she was in a physical body. In the end, she only smiled and leaned closer to peck his nose before turning tail to start walking deeper into the lab while twisting a digit in the air, "Nothing you need to be concerned about! Now! Bring me those ingredients because we are actually going to set fire to this lab."
Silas coughed as he followed her, "Excuse me? Set fire to this lab? Aren't we just going to brew a potion?"
Layne giggled, "Yes! We're going to brew a potion, and that potion is warmth. If you've never seen how it is made then you'll be in for a surprise for sure. It isn't even that hard."
The potion maker then turned around to take the crate nimbly from his arms and set it on a table near a cauldron. She grunted while moving the crate's cover back to look inside to rummage around the various herbs and mushrooms that she needed to start counting, "You see, Silas. I'll need to dump all of these ingredients in here with a little bit of liquid magic and then, and this part is important, chuck a fire spell in it. Literally, chuck a fire spell in it! The making of this potion is the process of condensing the fire magic into liquid form which then can be made into crystals or poured into bottles and you know the rest, but um, doing this makes the room you're in very hot so I'd rather not do this at my cottage, but I was planning on doing this anyway since the winter months are coming."
Silas blinked, "Is it...Dangerous?"
Layne looked up from the cauldron with a big smile just as she dumped an armful of ingredients in, "Why...It most certainly is! I mean, if the fireball were too intense then the resulting combustion would probably light this whole lab actually on fire. I mean hah! Remember the first fire you heard about nearly taking the shack and the hill with it?" The moth gulped and nodded and then Layne continued, "Well, that was an inexperienced me making a little error. I'm much more confident now."
Looking inside of the crate for a moment she reached inside until she produced a bottle of shimmering liquid. She popped the cork and poured the contents out into the cauldron and took a step back. With a whisper to the chill air she brought a paw up to summon a burning ball of angry fire and she gave it a flick. The ball of flame bounced up into the air and fell directly into the cauldron and as soon as she did that the cauldron began to shake and glow a hot red.
Layne looked at the glowing pot with a fat grin, her slit pupils growing wide as she looked upon the glory that was her fire magic interacting with volatile ingredients. Hot white sparks flew out of the cauldron and she made sure to back up just far enough so she could get a good look at her magic working while maintaining a safe distance from the danger.
When she turned her head to see how her friend was doing, his wings were out and his eyes were wide and he was looking at her while he asked in a desperate tone, "Should we be running?"
Layne laughed, "Are you kidding? This is going perfectly!"
The cauldron began to shake more violently and hot amber liquid flowed to the surface for a moment as if it were preparing to slip over the edge before it slowly began to settle down. The shaking turned into a minor rumbling and the white sparks that had been once popping stopped all at once. Everything was quiet now except for the bubbling of the pot and Silas moved to try and get a closer look, but Layne put an arm out to stop him.
Frothy steam poured out of the cauldron and began to spread around the lab. Layne could feel the heat passing through her fur as the mist rushed past her and Silas together. From where they were standing it felt like an extremely warm summer breeze, but towards the center, the steam was fiery hot and liable to burn anyone who got too close. Once she was sure nothing was going to explode she turned to her friend while fanning herself, "Now we just have to remain away from the cauldron for an hour or so. In about ten minutes I'll be able to check on it without singeing my fur, but I'm afraid this heat is here to stay."
Silas tugged at the collar of his robes and cleared his throat, "That was...More intense than I was expecting and...Gosh, you're right! It is hot in here. I suppose it is a bit welcome considering how things are outside."
The feline giggled and took her scarf off to fold it and set it on a nearby table before hopping up to take a seat on it herself, "So, now that the brew is preparing, we can talk now I guess."
Silas tapped the digits of his hands together and he looked about before he looked to Layne who was patting the empty space on the table next to her. Silas paused before moving to take a seat next to her, though he did not comment on what the potion maker had said.
Layne watched as the moth kicked his legs back and forth and looked down at the ground and before long she reached to give his cheek a gentle pinch, "Hey, bug friend, mind telling me what's on your mind?"
Silas coughed, "Oh! I...I guess I really should stop beating around the bush. I mean, I've wanted to ask you this for a while, but I just figured you were too busy for it always."
"Too busy for what dear?"
Silas took a breath and brought his hands together to squeeze, "Uhh...Too busy to date, y'know, just...Take a trip to the village to eat, or even just take a walk around the forest...O-or garden together or something that might be entertaining."
Layne blinked and looked at him. She sat there with her arms crossed and she tipped her head up to look at the ceiling. When was the last time someone had asked her out on a date? Sure she had been with plenty of people before, but most of the time it was a direct question of would they want to have sex or not and usually, Layne answered with optimism. She had to admit that she was a little taken aback, and more than just a little flattered.
With a small smile she looked over at the moth who seemed to be dreading his position in life with his hands wrung together and his eyes focused on anywhere but her and she leaned in to plant the softest of kisses on his cheek before she answered, "I would be glad to go out on a date. Gardening sounds interesting since I've never seen your nursery from the inside. Maybe tomorrow?"
Silas looked at her with a big smile and nodded, "Ah! Yes! That sounds absolutely fine. Around the morning I'll come to walk you over?"
Layne leaned against him and chuckled, "Are you suggesting that you want to stay the night over? On the first date?"
It was a tease but the poor moth took it to heart and he began to stutter, "I...N-no, I mean...No that's not what I meant. I wouldn't a-ask that on the first date."
Layne winked and pressed to him with a purr, "I would."
Silas shuddered and tugged at the collar of his robes, "I...Wow, it is really warm in here."
The potion maker couldn't help it. She loved teasing cute boys, especially if they were vulnerable to teasing. She wanted so badly to pounce on him and shower him in little kisses to see him blow up, but instead she decided to take things slow as she hopped off of the table and began to tug at the sleeves of her dress, "Don't I know it dear...I picked the worst time to wear long sleeves."
Silas opened his mouth to say something but his words caught on his tongue and his mouth shut as Layne grabbed her dress to pull it up and over her head and toss it onto the table with her scarf. She stood there fanning herself coyly while facing away from the moth with her tail raised to show she wore a blue thong that hung tight against her rear. Soon, she slipped that off as well and stepped out of it to turn around and move toward the stunned bug.
She could see a bulge in his robes and she reached to grab it and purred as she leaned up to bring her nose to his, "Silas, you have to realize dear. I'm not a pure kitten. I'm dirty all the way. I've had my fair share of partners and I don't think any of them asked for a date."
Silas continued his silence with his eyes focused on her paw gripping his cock through his robes. He watched as Layne worked to undo the sash of his robes and then part them, watched as she gripped his thick shaft poking out of a genital slit and gasped as she moved onto his lap with her rear kissing his member.
The feline purred, "You see, I'm dirty dear...And I don't even know if you want to date me or not like this." She then flicked her paw, blue light capturing a small bottle from one of the shelves in the lab and bringing it over into her paw, "Either way...Won't this be fun?"
Silas shuddered and gripped at her sides and for a moment Layne thought he was going to take charge, but instead, he wrapped his arms around her body tight and pressed his face to her chest, "Dirty? I...I could never think of you like that Layne. You're beautiful to me, always have been and I've always admired you from afar. Dirty? So what if you've had sex before and you like it...Isn't that your right? O-of course I want to have sex with you...But...I also kinda want our date to be a little bit more y'know? I'm in love with you after all."
Layne froze with a thumb on the cork of the bottle of lube. With one paw she took the precious boy's cheek and bright him up to face her. Gingerly she planted her lips on his and pressed close to him while keeping her excitement in. Such a sweet thing complimenting her in such ways! She would have to thank him properly with a good time and so finally she popped the cork off of the bottle and reached behind herself with both paws to grab his cock and pour the slick substance in the bottle on it. Once the bottle was spent, she tossed it off to the side and used both paws to get his cock nice and wet while her mouth continued to press against his. Once she was sure he was ready she brought her hips up and pressed the tip to her rear. She eased it inside of her gently while he trembled in her control and while his mouth parted to let her tongue inside.
Silas pressed his tongue to hers meekly and she could feel his hands shaking where they gripped at her sides, but still, she pressed on and still she pushed her tongue to his determined to make him quiver and shake in nervous pleasure. Soon, the feline pushed her hips down slowly to get more of his cock inside of her rear and he let out a little-muffled moan to her mouth before suddenly pulling his maw away as she slammed her hips down to take every single inch of his cock in her rear.
Pain and pleasure together played inside of Layne's rear and she purred out a moan as she brought her hands down to grip at his body to brace herself as she started to move up and down. With a small smirk, she leaned in to kiss his nose and whisper, "Let me know when you're going to cum."
Silas could only nod meekly as he watched Layne begin to bounce up and down on his lap. She moved quickly while one of her paws move to her front to grip at her own barbed member and begin stroking it rapidly while she worked his cock. She loved the feeling of his shaft sliding inside of her and loved the feeling of the heat inside of the lab joining her own heat as she slammed down to him again and again. She felt the throbbing of his member inside of her and moaned as he thrust his hips up to her while he let out a little pleasure gasp. Layne purred and rolled her hips happily while working her cock, the pressure from her rare traveling through her balls and into her cock causing her member to twitch in her paw as she continued to stroke.
Silas gasped with his digits clenching her sides firmly as he uttered a whine, "I'm about to cum."
Layne purred and paused her bouncing, but continued to stroke herself while she gasped, "Wait for just a moment, sweetie...I wanna finish on you and I want you to finish on me."
The feline squeezed hard on her cock a few more times and gasped as her member began to twitch her orgasm. Three ropes of cum fired from her cock with the first marking the moth's chest and the other two pooling on his stomach. Silas shivered and reached to touch the warm seed while Layne slowly got up and off of him. She got on her knees and purred as she looked up at him with big blue eyes, her tail swishing from side to side, "Go on Silas...Finish yourself off on my face...I wanna feel you mark me like I'm yours."
Silas shivered and took hold of his cock with the digits stained with her own cum and he began to stroke himself. At first, his pace was slow and gentle as if he wasn't sure, but he sped up as Layne closed her eyes and stuck out her tongue. It wasn't long before she felt a heavy spray of cum hit her tongue, nose, and cheek. A few ropes of the stuff hit her chest and enough of it had landed on her face that she wondered if he had been backed up. She purred as she felt the warmth of his cum staining her fur and her body and she shuddered. With one eye open she moved up to plant her lips against his and he accepted her kiss with his own hunger.
Sometime later, the potion maker and the herbalist emerged from the front door of her shop fully dressed and clean. Silas held a crate full of vials of warmth and looked down, "I uh...So tomorrow morning right?"
Layne giggled and nodded, "Tomorrow morning...I'll be looking forward to seeing how you plant your seed again."
She saw color touch his features but he turned and simply started off with crate held close to his chest. Layne watched as the moth left and felt her heart thumping wildly. She would need to be careful or she would break him. All of his love and affection combined with his shy demeanor drove her wild, and she loved it.
