Dogman Chapter 7

I look at all the cops surrounding me.
The police start to close in slowly. "Don't move, keep 'em up."
I do as they say, fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck, what am I gonna do.
An immense bang echoes in the surrounding area. I look at my rear view mirror as a large slab of metal hits the ground nearly hitting a cop and skidding across the ground and slam into a nearby building. The police in front of me look to where the car was flung into the building and look astounded.
I turn around to look as they are distracted and see a hooded cloaked figure jump off where the car hit and landed on both feet. My mouth drops as well, what the fuck, how did he survive that, he should be dead.
Cops point their weapons at him and I hear, "stop right where you are."
The hooded figure looks from the cops to me then reaches around to his left side and pulls out his automatic pistol.
My eyes widen farther, "you've got to be kidding me."
Some of the cops surrounding me turn toward him and start to walk away from me. They point their weapons at him and say, "put down your weapon NOW!"
The cloaked man slowly puts his weapon back into his cloak. Then pulls out a regular pistol and opens fire on the 5 cops surrounding him and drops them in under 2 seconds.
They cops around me move into position around the cloaked man and start opening fire on him.
The hooded man starts running toward me and shoots 2 more cops in the head as he's running after me.
I release the brake and floor it. The car creeps forward quickly as I start to move away from the slaughter.
The cloaked figure then throws his pistol to the side and takes out his automatic pistol and unloads a barrage of bullets at me while running a dead sprint trying to catch up to me.
The police that are still alive turn around and start shooting at my attacker, but fail to bring him down.
Once he realizes that he can't keep up, he throws his pistol to the side and gets on all fours and quickly starts to gain on us.
Once I reach past the speed of 40 mph, I start to get a lead on him, and then he stops chasing me as I make a sharp right turn.
He then disappears into one of the narrow alleyways.
As I make the turn I'm greeted with nothing but an empty road. I floor it until I'm out of the city then I gradually slow down. I turn off onto some of the back roads as the GPS remaps our rout.
Tairin looks over at me worried, "that guy has our powers, our abilities, our knowledge, he must be destroyed."
I look over at him for a second with pure shock, "Well how do kill a werewolf, wait will silver do it," I smile from that sarcastic comment.
Tairin shacks his head, "that stupid rumor. No of course not, I can give you a history lesson on it if you want."
I look at him in a perplexed manor, "what, the silver or how to kill your kind?"
"Silver."
I nod, "Okay, but how do you kill him."
Tairin shacks his head, "no...that's not your job...leave him to me."
"No way..."
Tairin interrupts me, "THIS IS NOT UP FOR DEBATE, now shut up and drive."
I calm down and think about something else. 5 minutes later as I'm thinking about random things, the thought of my lack of hunger comes to mind, "How come I'm not hungry."
Everyone in the back starts laughing.
I look back at them, then to Tairin for an explanation.
Tairins ears fall flat on his head, "um...yeah you don't need to eat for quite awhile actually."
I raise a brow, "why?"
He looks back at the road, "I put something in your last piece of food."
My eyes go wide, "WHAT! What did you do?"
"I...I...I put a part of me in your food."
"What are you Hannibal Lecter? Seriously what the fuck did you do?"
"It's not a solid."
I think I would prefer the Hannibal Lecter part, "liquid?"
Tairin nods awkwardly, "yeah."
"I don't like where this is going, what kind of liquid?"
"Um...a white liquid."
I look back at the road; my face turns beat red and my mouth hanging wide open for the world to see. It is completely silent for the rest of the 1 hour drive down to the forest. Once we arrive at an appropriate spot. Tairin tells me to pull between 2 buildings since its 3:24 a.m. and getting lighter by the minute. I turn off the car, get out and wait for the rest to come filling out. Once they are all out I lock it up, throw the keys in and shut the door. 'They will probably find this car quickly anyway. No sense in keeping the keys.' I turn around and we start walking out of the small town of Osgood. As we walk the streets I think over what Tairin had said about what he put in my food. Why...why would he do that, does he want me hooked on it like a drug, is it a love potion for wolves, if so how long will it last, a day, a week. I shack my head it doesn't matter, it's too late for me to do anything about it anyway, there's no stopping him from... I look over at him doing it with me I turn my head back sigh.
We manage to get out of the town without causing any trouble. After walking for about 10 minutes in partially forested area with no one else, but ourselves around Tairin gives the order to change forms. Once they have completely changed forms Tairin wastes no time in asking the obvious as he comes closer to me, "I know your pissed, but I didn't know when we would be eating again and besides it lasts for a week. If it makes you feel any better I put it on before I cooked it..."
I cringe at sound of that, "don't talk to me." Then I start to walk away from him.
Tairin grabs a hold of my arm forcefully pulls me back, then grabs me by neck and throws me into a tree still firmly griping my neck while doing so. He rests his mouth next to my ear as I struggle and says, "I won't last more than another day before I fuck the shit out of you." He starts to snarl, "if I were you, I would start to be more respectful to your alpha; I've been nothing but fair to you. I've warned you what would happen if you didn't listen to me. Tairin lets go of me and I start heaving to regain my breath.
Tairin walks away and after I regain my breath I start to follow them deeper and deeper into the forest.
After about 2 hours we stop where a river opens up and expands in size. Everyone goes over and gets a drink.
I walk over and look at the water. That's weird, I've never drank anything, but filtered water. And soda and stuff, but that doesn't count. I can't believe I've never had regular unfiltered water from a fast moving river with the way I run and exercise in general, it's mostly outdoors anyway. I kneel down and scoop up a handful of water in my hands and drink it for the first time. I gulp it down fast to satisfy my parched throat. 'Not bad, I just hope there's nothing floating around in the water nearby or something.' I take a couple more scoops of water then I stand up and follow the others who were waiting for me to finish. We continue walking for what seemed like days, once we got to "the spot" though, Tairin stops and kicks the side of a very steep hill and part of the hill disappears leaving a large opening. My mouth is hanging open at the site of something like this. As I get closer I see that it was a very large piece of plywood cut out into the shape of this hole and placed perfectly so that no one could tell that it was there. Once I got close enough to touch it I knelt down and saw that it's a very dark brown wood. This looks like the siding to an old house with the trenches placed 6 inches apart from one another. Wait it is, where the hell did they get this? "Where did this come from?"
Tairin looks back at me with a bored appearance, "found it lying around a construction site and took it?"
I roll my eyes, "do you guys follow any form of ethics?"
*Chuckles,* "you don't even know the meaning of the word."
I narrow my eyes, "what does that mean?"
Tairin shacks his head, "ethics means to have a good sense of judgment, right?"
I quickly form a scowl, "great I know where this is going."
"Good, then you should also know how good of judgment your people have about ours."
"You know, it's because of miscommunication and corruption that keeps this situation where it is."
"And yet it only takes one to change all that."
I nod and look around forgetting what Tairin said, "it looks like this place was...dug out."
Tairin looks around as well, "that's because it was."
I narrow my eye something's not right, how did he do this so quickly. "No I mean how did you dig-out such extensive tunnels in such a short amount of time. Even with all of you. What's going on Tairin, don't lie to me?"
Tairin quickly walks back over and grabs me by the collar of my shirt and pulls me up so I'm level with him. He stares directly into my eyes with the same amount of seriousness as he did earlier and says slowly "drop it now. I won't ask again."
I nod slowly.
He lets me go and I almost lost my balance, but manage to stay up. I watch him as he walks over to a large room and disappears into the darkness. Everyone else stops looking at me and disperses into their rooms. Why did that just happen? What's really going on here? If it wasn't Tairin who did this then who did? How am I possibly going to get him to tell me this without getting rapped or beaten for it? Rhine gives me a stern look, "sit down and listen to him, you've already said you love him, he's got something else to tell you anyway."
I turn around to Tairin, "well?"
Tairin blinks a few times then continues, "I was telling the truth about being born down in the southwest and I was telling the truth about my family, but I didn't move over to Louisiana, I moved up to Montana. Many had the opportunity to choose you, but didn't. I was one of a few that wanted you as a mate, I fought for the right to have you as mine and only mine, in an open fight to the death..."
I interrupt him, "Open?"
"Yes, I means by fighting more than one opponent, and it also means that those opponents, 10 to be exact, were fighting for the right to have you as their mate and some of them were very shady wolves, nasty attitudes, short tempers, and the like. I nod, "okay..." I lower my head and start thinking about the situation for a moment, why is this so hard to say, I don't really see why it's that bad, it was a lot to take in at first, but it makes sense now, wait, what if..., I look up at Tairin, "were any of them people you knew, well?"
Tairin lowers his head this time, obviously ashamed he twitches from the thought of what he did awhile ago. He looks back up to me, "yes, my best friend." He turns his head to the side averting his gaze. "When the Alpha showed me the picture of you personally, my eyes glowed with...lust, desire, affection for the mere image of you. My best friend that was by my side caught a glimpse of you and that's all it took. He joined the fight and knew I was going to be there, the only difference was that he was mentally prepared, he knew he was going to kill, or be killed by his closest friend that day and I didn't." Tairin looks back to me. "Look Vien, what's been done has been done, there's no point in getting pissed off because others fought over you. I understand that it's not easy to understand, but the balance of this world depends on you being a diversion."
I shake my head, "how the fuck do you expect me to possibly even consider that. You have been lying to me the entire time, in fact my entire life has been a lie. This just keeps getting better and better. What's next? I die honorably for you kind and am respected by a race I don't even want to understand."
Tairin closes his eyes and waits patiently for me to calm down. Once I stop all together Tairin opens his eyes and looks right into mine. "We all have a purpose in this world Adrian and I'm not talking about that religious shit. I'm talking about actually making a difference in this world, like saving LIVES, you know the people that drive this world forward and make it function or in our case, the people who just want peace. We've been at war for so long Adrian, that we will do anything to end it and believe me we have done some pretty awful things to your people in hopes that it would end this senseless war. But instead it just fueled your people's hatred and spread it across the vast expanses of this world.
Sigh, I lower my head because of my stupidity, how could I be so ignorant, "I get it now, but why me and if I'm the diversion then whose doing the real work?"
Tairin looks over at the other wolves and they nod their heads in confirmation, then Tairin looks at me, "it's..."
HA!!!! Gotcha, now is the time where you throw things at me because of how pissed you are at how I ended that chapter, you waited like 3 months for a story that was just gonna keep you on the edge of your seat.
I heard some people were puzzled of how I was gonna get Adrian out of that cop scene, well if you remember back to the last chapter, it briefly goes over something that I'm tying in with that cloaked man. Who is he anyway? You shall find out...whenever I get around to it anyway, lol.
Okay, I got to know, how was the sex scene, it was my first one and I didn't really think I really did a good job, but I got some more kinky shit cooked up for you guys later. It's not too gross, no more than this. Although I would like to take it farther, it would probably be taken too far. That's the only problem I have with that.
