Eternity Awakes
Second Seal of Three
-The Beasts True Colour-
Carrying a rather large, fuzzy, golden teddy bear, almost as tall as she was, she looked back seeing Exi dragging other plushies along with him. He may have been a sight for sore eyes, encumbered by the amount of prizes they'd amassed, but he had insisted being a gentleman, and a rather comical one at that. The unlucky, young looking man felt as if he were a carnival clown trying to juggle as many as he was, although he was greatful the first bear, of which was the most sizable, was the one she clung to. He felt some ease knowing that, or it may have been one too many.
"Whoa photo guy! Let's do this, I want to at least remember this fun we're having and to... to remind me of a great day that you have given me. How about it, and I call it, we do silly poses. Up for it?"
He wondered for a moment. 'Is she really an immortal of countless ages? She has the spirit of a youthful spring teen.' This seemed like a bit of fun, and he didn't mind. "Photo's? Why not, but you know I'm going to make sure you look the silliest."
"Tut-tut," she grinned waggling her finger side to side. "If you do that, then it's you who will look bad then. I mean when people look at it, they'll wonder what were you doing hanging around with this looney tunes?"
"Well, this looney tunes," he said with his ongoing struggle, trying not to drop her prizes. "Has given me one of the best times of my life, even if I'm your pack mule, I don't mind."
She turned rosy cheeked again. "You don't need to butter me up, or I might slip for you," she said pulling down an eyelid in a playfully taunting gesture.
"Oh, and what makes you think I wouldn't like that?"
Her words came harder found as she softly bit her bottom lip, swaying her shoulders in half twists from her hips. She felt her heart warming for him more, and in this moment, she felt the fusion of love bloom in her heart. 'Oh gods, I really like him, I mean really-really like him.' They stepped onto the deep red velvet sheet as the photographer pointed that they remove their shoes. Doing so she gently guided Exi to the centre, where they sat down on rose petals scattered around. The fabric so soft, luxurious and perfectly fitting. A large heart was painted behind them as she pulled her dark knight down as she cheerily sat down into lap, wrapping both arms around him, locking her hands behind his neck. "See, I slipped, and landed here, oh-oh tehehe?"
"Hehe I can see that," he said as he rested his arms lightly around her slim waist. Gauging her reactions, his mouth curled up from one side to portray a playfully cheeky smile as he reflected his own, looking confidently at her. As she held his gaze, the way he looked at her set her pulse off into a tapping frenzy, forcing her to avert her sight lower to let her hair hide her face a moment. "So, you're all butter huh?"
She felt her body become all fuzzy and warm, and even more so with the words that followed. 'If I'm butter, then I'm melting for you,' she thought. "I... I..."
"Shhhh, it's okay." He didn't give her a chance to reply. "We can talk later, and now for that silly photo right?" With one swift move, he caught her by surprise pressing his cheek against hers as they faced off against the camera, holding her by the waist firmer, not giving her the chance to object. Before she could rationalise a single protest he pulled up two fingers behind her head. "Quick take the shot man, do it!" he cried as he stuck his tongue out.
The photographer didn't hesitate as he took the picture.
"What about being gentlemanly and giving me fair warning?" she pouted with a huff raising her nose up.
"Well, what's the fun when there's no surprise?"
As the photographer readied for the next shot her hands wrapped further around his neck, drawing herself closer so her heat could be felt up against his. As the shot came she placed a kiss to his cheek as he shivered making a goofy expression, caught of guard, with drunken, dazed love expression. The photographer pointed at the screen showing the shot to him causing Zana to fall into a fit of giggles, giving her the opportunity to comment, "How's that for surprises?" Exi broke out into a fit of hearty chuckles with her, allowing the photographer to take a final wonderful shot of the happy couple sharing a moment of tender loving laughter in one another's embrace.
Zana released him and pulled away as she stood up wondering. A horrible feeling took her that Exi was taking up her bills, and now felt even worse, especially when she saw the price of the photos. They weren't inclusive of the themepark and required additional payment. "Listen, you don't have to pay for me, I'll just skip having them developed."
"Oh no you don't, you get a copy just like me, no buts, and no hows, or I'll be hurt."
"You big softie. If you put it like that, then how can I say no?"
"You can thank me, maybe, with another kiss, you kissed this cheek," he pointed to his opposite side, "What about this one, it's lonely?"
Zana leaned closer, "Oh?" she teasingly asked as she came in about to kiss it, but moved to press her lips in a small kiss over his. He felt her soft wet lips, supplely pass upon his feeling so silken with a tiny suckle, and smacking sound as they left his. Moving back, she became flustered. "Oops, guess that cheek will have to wait, I need the ladies room eeek!"
Dazed again, and possibly seeing stars, or even hearts he looked over. "S-sure, over there," he said as he watched her walk off with her sandles in her hands. Occasionally, she would make little joyful skips now and then, and every so often, would look back over her shoulder before giggling. No matter what she did, she always seemed to be carrying that amicable little smile about her. Hauling himself to his feet, he walked over to the photographer, still looking in the direction that Zana had waltzed off in.
The man put his camera to the side. "Got to say, you two are the sweetest couple here tonight, you're so into one another. The last photo made my day too. So I'll only charge you for two."
"Thanks my-dude, here, and you really did get a great last shot, so props on your timing," Exi complimented as he paid for the photos, and waited for them, and her.
"Heh, no biggie, it's my job to get the best, and sometimes, the best are when least expected." The photographer got busy uploading them to his laptop, and began making minor edits to the photos. His expression changed becoming more and more confused. "Hey son, I'm really sorry but, once I started editing and balancing the colours and such, the last photo, I can't make it look better. There's a strange faint outline, which started coming out much more prominently when I started editing. Coincidently from lighting a guess but it makes you look like there's kind of transparent monster around your body and you're inside it, and she looks like she's glowing with sort of tail-like outline behind her, haha, it's the darndest thing right? I can undo the edits, but not much with the picture?"
"It's perfect, all things are way cool like this, try bring it out more, I've got to let her see it when she comes back, it's fine, don't worry about it. I'll keep it as a surprise for later."
The man resumed working on the photos as Exi folded his arms while he discretely pointed his finger out again from under his arm. Once more his masked magic came into play as he planted a further two glyphs. 'She doesn't suspect a thing, which is making this much easier. Now there's only two more points.'
-o-O-o-
Within the restroom, she found herself looking in the mirror, deep within her own reflected eyes. Her body felt hot, and nervous as she wondered if giving him that little kiss was too sudden. Being what she is, a genie of folklore, superstition, and mythology that shouldn't exist, she didn't need sustenance, nor did she have a need to degrade herself to use such places for what humans did. Still, it made for a retreat and it was a safe haven she needed feeling such heavy thuds against her chest. "Okay, calm down, don't be silly," she whispered to herself feeling goosebumps all over, and needing to cool off. 'I guess I know what most guys now feel like when I reveal my true form heh,' she nervously mused. Peering at herself she got a good look at what she looked like. Changing her appearance now would throw him off, but he was much better looking than this human form she'd chosen for herself. Knowing this, it made her that much more self conscious as she thought on what she could do. In her slight discomfort, she knew he was different from other people, and saw her for who she was. Passing her finger along her lips it splashed a shimmering rouge along her lips. Little glittering energy passed along her fingertips as she worked the red hair into something more sensual, and stylish. "This way I look much better, even if I can't change this human form. At least I can add some pretty touches here, and a little there, a little eyeliner, hmmm possibly some eye shade, better..." she said out aloud. "Oh god why am I doing this? He already likes me. Oh no, why did I kiss him, maybe he's not into me like that? Well, it was more a playful kiss not a lover kiss, so it's okay? No it's not I clung to him like a monkey needing her mommy monkey... Okay take a deep breath, I can do this and ask him. Or should I?" she kept on talking to herself as she heard the toilet flush and another girl came out.
"Honey give yourself a break, if whomever you're with is still around it's good?" a blonde pretty woman said as she washed her hands.
'That's easy for her to say as she looks almost like a model,' she thought, unimpressed."Oh, sorry was I talking loudly?"
"It's okay to be nervous on dates, and after all, it's a special day? So go have fun with your valentine. Kay?"
'Okay she's not too bad, and she is right.' Zana realised for the first time today, had he chosen her as his valentine but been nervous to ask? Maybe she should prompt him? "You're right, I'm a babe!"
"That's it, and if things get heated buy one of those," she said pointing over to a condom dispenser, forcing Zana to turn red. "Haha, why you getting shy? It's better to be safe."
"N-no we're not like that, w-we're friends is all."
The women grinned. "Well, you keep telling yourself that honey, it's not what it looks like from your reactions. Besides he could be a friend with benefits then? Take care." With those words she exited as Zana felt humbled by him choosing her and embarrassed while she made another touch up before she bravely stepped out, more composed.
She heard him call for her waving his hands as he had the photos in an envelope. "Over here, and whoa, that's what you were upto. You look great. Incredible even. I'm pretty sure you did that all for me, I guess I'm amazing then?"
"Hush, don't tease me. Now what's next? Don't say you've had all the fun already?"
"No chance, now come on," he said as she linked arms with his and forced him to juggle all the plushes they'd won again although with a lot more difficulty as they wobbled about while she guided him.
"I don't think I can carry anymore stuff if we keep winning, or if you keep sweet taking them into bigger prizes."
"Okay, how about a few more rides then?"
"Sounds good, but no more games."
A little boy, probably no older than three was pointing over at the toys on the stand. "Daddy, that one, that one," he cried.
"I'm sorry. I tried, and he wouldn't let me buy it, so I used all my money on tokens and really did try but I'm out of money now too. I know how much you wanted it. But it's okay."
The boy became teary eye'd as Zana halted seeing the sadness. She waited just watching as the father exchanged more words to soothe his little one, apologizing again.
Zana looked at the teddy in her arms as it was the same as the one the child had pointed at in the game stall. Looking at Exi she smiled. "Wait here." He nodded as she walked over with the teddy kneeling down to look at the boy as his father was curious. "Hey, how much do you want this?" she asked showing him to teddy.
The boy's eyes widened. "Lots lots, I want teddy!"
"Okay, now you have to give me a fist bump if I give it to you, okay?"
"Yes! I will!" he yelled excitedly as she handed it to him.
The father objected. "But, are you sure?"
Zana peered up. "Yes, very, it's okay I have a lot already, look?" she said as she pointed over at Exi.
"If you're okay with it, then thank you so much, you've made my boy very happy. Henry, what do you say?"
The little boy grinned. "Yes happy!" as he hugged the large teddy bear. Zana held her fist out as he bumped it before running behind his father shyly. "Thank you."
"It's okay, have fun okay?" she asked to which he nodded as she got up walking back to Exi, finding him looking at her in surprise as she neared. "Wh-what?"
"Nothing, I just thought you really wanted that one so badly is all?" He placed the plushies down on a bench and tied his hands behind his back seeing her approach.
"I did, but you're a better teddy!"
"You know, you're really pretty, so thoughtful, smart and incredibly kind hearted. Now where were we? Maybe that other cheek?" he asked. Away from her sight, he clicked his fingers. The sound of his digits being drowned by the music, and people around them. Streaming energies flowed out with a rose that took shape between them. 'This scent, she won't resist, it will flood her senses, then it will be all go from there.' He pulled out the rose from behind him. A dark tinted red, wondrous as she looked at in awe, in all her three thousand, seven hundred and forty-two years, never, and she did mean never, had she seen one quite like this. It's warmth and luster something of a unique nature, alluring, so beautiful.
"Oh, quite forward aren't we?" she blushed as she took it from him, closing her eyes as she drew it closer about to take in it's deep scented sweetness.
"I'm sure you already noticed, it's valentine's day, and as seen as you're going around with me, wouldn't you call it a date?" 'That's it, smell it.'
"D-date? Oh bubbles... You're, erm, what do I say, I..." she cried as she pulled the rose back away from her.
'Damn, so close, I'll play it cool.' Giving her an expression of sincerity, he spoke softly to calm her. "Hush," he whispered placed a finger over her lips as he moved closer. Reaching. He pressed himself to her as his lead arm wrapped around her waist. Hiding his other hand around his back, he once more kept it a secret.
Zana's heart began to run rampant, feeling he was going to kiss her. Closing her eyes, she released her fears, and everything in the world fell in place for her. She wanted to be here, in this moment.
The veiled hand began to glow as it took shape into something otherworldly, swirling energy. 'While she was giving away that plushie I managed to plant the last two, and now it's time... Now she will know what I truly am.''
Just then, he felt a forceful push, one that jerked him off his feet and sent him a good several feet back. "Ouch... What..." he cried. 'Did she figure me out before I told her? Maybe I should have just told her and... shit,' he thought. She let out a scream as shards of sharp rock halted in their tracks as he looked up to see a sphere of blue energy surrounding her. One had made it through as it had nicked her arm, luckily a shallow injury, but her wound seeped a semi transparent liquid, glowing as it sparkled, leaving that life essense to drip down her arm. Her expression, pained as she reached up to lick her thumb before running it along the injury. The skin before his eyes stitched together, flawlessly, not leaving a single blemish. He was left to look up at her in awe. 'Not everyday I find a cleric, or healer type, what... Was she being, no that attack was meant for me, only two immortals I know of including myself can see other immortal's life energy with our eyes. Oh man, just when I was gonna... Can't an immortal have a lucky break now and then.' He looked around trying to pinpoint where the attack came from, wondering why didn't he see it, or was it, that he was too lost in her that he slacked off. 'Thinking about it, she must have potentially come after this thing and that's why she was here?' He knew they all had other abilities, her's must be to sense, and he always masked. An attack regardless if the enemy masks himself, cannot be hidden. He could see immortal energies, but she seemingly could sense them. He was now more than ever into her. 'Whoa, what a girl!'
Turning back to Zana, she was gone, the rose he'd created, lay torn with petals all over as it vaporized into glittering energy.
"Oh man, that seriously was wine rose, the sweetest there is. I'd magically stored for twenty-three centuries for someone special, ahhhh! And I've set up all those glyphs for a later surprise, all this planning gone to hell. I guess I have my last flower, if I ever get to give it. Hmmm, I'll make this date wrecker pay! I was so close to letting her know we're more alike than she knows..."
Meanwhile Zana gave chase, as light drizzle began to come down, slowly beginning to pick up. Although she managed to just about place up a protective ward, that energy bubble hardly withstood the spell used against them, leaving her hands to feel numb, and her body to ache. She moved swiftly through the crowd of people, although she couldn't see him, she could now sense him, as he would remain exposed for awhile after using magic. She feared, even if mortals wouldn't be able to see the magic, they were sure enough able to feel it's powerful breeze, or even be hurt by it should they be caught. Zana couldn't allow it to escape, she knew it had targeted a human, and not only any human, but her beloved date.
"Oh bubbles what do I do when I catch up to it? But I can't just let it run free as it tried to hurt... By the gods..." she cried coming to a halt as she watched this shadowy tailed figure blast some kind of spell at the rollercoaster mid way up the second peak's main support beam. Witnessing some bolts came away, now was the time to panic seeing people on the ride and coming down the first drop. Making a dash, she whispered an enchantment, her familiar one for speed to rush faster, and before she could think of how to save them, she was already scaling up the support beam. Her agile body bounded upwards as if being propelled by an invisible elastic band. Landing on one of the beams mid way up, she noticed it had been significantly weakened and began creaking.
The dainty feline in human form, held out her hands in front of her she clasped them together in a standing prayer posture, whispering away as a defensive ward formed with drifting golden hieroglyphs, while she adapted her spell to create barrier which would stop the support beam from bending either way. Closing her eyes she began focusing harder as she continued to whisper and chant. It seemed too heavy as the part of barrier facing her began to crack as the collected rain water from the above beam, splashed down on her head. 'This whole thing is going to come down on me. I can't just... Maybe that thing played on my compassion for mortals, hoping it would injure me in order to counter. If it does now, I'm defenseless. Maybe just maybe, it's to guage my strength... If I hadn't been so selfishly wrapped up in my date I could have found this immortal and led it away somehow. Too late for regrets, it's in the past, but what can I do now. Think Zana.'
With her eyes, clamping tighter she felt the strain on her magic, it wasn't meant to be used in such a way. 'I might be the most powerful healer in existence, but I'm no good at this kind of stuff. This is going to end very baddly, I can barely support this now, and when they're on top of me, it's going to... I'm not strong enough... Wait, why is it beginning to feel lighter?'
Snapping her eyes wide open, off to her side she realised something altogether terrifying, brutally bigger than her with immense muscular features lending her aid. It wasn't the same one that attacked her, or this ride, she knew that much. Noticing how the armor he adorned seemed almost regal, although a crown seemed out of place, but who was he? He seemed to be a badger-like immortal, with a paisley green back and cream coloured fur along his frontside. It's back seemed to be alive with a red ethereal flame which scared her. "So you've come to kill me, meeep! You big brutish burning badger rodent thing!" she cried as she began shivering.
"I've not, quieten up and focus, and quit with the insults, I'm not the bad guy..." he cried as she realised she stopped chanting. Once more she began to reinforce her spell.
"I don't think I can support it when it comes around, ahhhhhh ach..." she screamed as the strain was filtering through every fiber of her body, extending down her thighs.
"You can." The creature's muscles flexed more showing his indomitable strength as it pushed upwards to act as a support beam himself. "It's coming keep the spell strong as you can."
Zana nodded, "Okay killer toad sir!"
"I'm not a toad..." he sighed, even so, he couldn't help but admit, the petite little redhead, had some spirit and a lot of spunk. There was something within her selfless act that made him desire her that much more.
The rollercoaster came around whizzing up the peak as she felt the immediate intensity increase as she struggled, feeling her arms trembling and her lips quivering as she chanted. He let out a growl feeling it's additional weight load along with all the metal framework on top of them. The beams squealed, bulging a little, before a loud clank was heard as something gave a little causing the upper structure to shift an inch lower. Snarling, he tensed up further, using all the might his body would grant to push back up. An audible snapping sound, as if a twig had been trodden on amplified from his elbow as he screamed but held fast.
'No...' Zana thought, fearing they wouldn't make it, but her reflex actions, allowed another barrier to form pushing his bone agonizingly back in place, acting as a splint. The pain was excruciating and searing all the way down his arm, and the nerves passing it through into his shoulder. Despite this, the badger continued to hold the beams in place, hearing the carriages passing above them, until the last finally passed. The safety sensors sounded the emergency alarm as the ride screeched to a stop somewhere safer, much further down the line.
Exi howled in pain as Zana reached out to let some rain drops collect in her palm as she whispered another spell, before dropping the barrier and in that instant, abruptly slapping the injured forearm of this huge creature.
"I'm sorry, and and and, you're a really scary badger, shoo you innocent immortal killer!" she cried as she jumped off, scrambling away.
"Damn that girl, and she's terrible with insults... Has she really ran away? No... I can see her immortal energy flow leading to... Oh man she's brave or plain daft." He knew she was going after the perpetrator knowing full well she's no match for him, as he broke a sigh. "Man I know I've said it before, but damn she's a plucky little minx with spunk. Hmmm my arm... It's feeling good, but this thing is about to collapse." He raised a brow as the ward around the support beam began cracking away. "Crap, she's out of spell range! Ahhhhhh!" he cried as he made a jump from it. Landing with a thud he began to give chase as he heard the structure behind him crashing to the ground with a horrendously loud banging of metal. "Guess the fact my arms fully mended means she's definitely a healer immortal for sure, although I'd suspect she has offensive spell or two if she's heading for battle. Although I'm impressed how such a skittish cowardly girl can muster such courage, ,man I'm falling even more for her."
The badger rushed on as he caught up to them huffing as he looked across the way. This was an interesting battleground, a clearing with trees not too far off around them. He observed the shadowy figure was stood in the centre of the clearing, not budging in the slightest. It appeared he was done with the running and smirking away at them. Before Zana could engage it, he spoke out. "What's the big idea ditching me. We have to deal with him and now. You can't take him, he's out of your league, can't you sense his immense magical presence? You're a sensor type too right? I can see it, you can feel it, and it completely dwarfs yours?"
"Ahhh you again! By the gods, you're going to kill me when this is over and only pretending to be nice!"
"Listen stop with the I'm going to kill you already!"
She pointed to him. "Lies!"
"Woman! You are going to drive me crazy... Didn't I just help you save those people? Anyway, listen, deal with me later but we have bigger problems, look," he said pointing at a malicious staff that formed in the creatures hand. It's features came out, as if made of granite rock.
Zana shivered. "An immortal killer..." Zana gasped as her eyes widened, taking a step back, as her body was caught in the wake of an unseen earthquake of fear. Shaking her head, her eyes narrowed to focus more.
"Call me Pyrous," he said trying to look a little more heroic in front of her as he posed a little. "Can you back me up with strong offensive spells? I'm pretty sure you got a few considering you came all the way to take it on?"
"Nope, not a single one, this place had a lot of people, and I was scared they would be hurt so I came to the theme park. I was trying to avoid people. I'm a healer immortal only, my race use to be peace and balance, we don't believe in violence."
"Oh great, that wasn't too smart having all this time to master a spell, and one that could save your ass, and you didn't bother?" he was annoyed and yet not angry at the same time feeling admiration even. 'Although very amicable to not abandon one's way, man she's even cuter than ever...'
"I'm not stupid you scary jerk! Oops," she cried covering her mouth with both hands, before holding them out defensively towards him. "Meep I didn't mean that, please don't kill me Mr Pyrous sir?" she said with an adorable gulp and taking another step back, but away from both of them.
Pyrous sighed. 'Oh man, that was a bad choice in words.' He reached out his arm towards the other creature. "Even though weapons and injuries hurt, and we may get chopped into a thousand pieces, we can not die. No matter how much we are hurt, we will return. However, there is an exception. Only one thing can deal with another immortal," he said to Zana, "And I'm sure you're aware of what."
The girl became more terrified as she watched an equally intimidating weapon begin to form and take shape, as she shook her head in disbelief. It fused with varying hues of light into two large golden and silver gauntlets of impressive design. Within the designs, it featured green gems that glowed.
"Another... Immortal killer..." she whispered, almost tearfully as she edged away from him.
"What are you waiting for, draw yours out, this guy is planning to kill us both."
"I don't have one..."
"My god, what kind of immortal are you."
"A good one Mr Pyrous, sir, one that doesn't kill anyone!"
"Stop that, cut it out! Help me in some other way then. If I die, you're good as dead too." He focused on the creature ahead taking slow advances towards him. "I need you to cast your barriers when it launches it's assaults, they won't kill me as they can't but they will injure and inhibit my actions, so it's important that you... Zana?" he asked as he turned to see just a vacant area. "Guess I'm on my own, and I know... He's more powerful."
The creature before him, highlighted to show it's features further appearing to be a wolf, it's furred arms slowly becoming grey as it was coating itself in granite like solidity. Finally it spoke. "I came for you," came the rough voice that carried a gruff to it with a deep tone.
"So the beast has a tongue?" It didn't reply as the rocky, craggy formations formed to cover over his tail, moving down it's thighs to it's paws, firmly planted in the ground. It was bipedal, but on analysis seemed it could take to all fours for further agility with the way it's arms were a little more elongated than the average bipedal creature. This also meant it had a bigger range in close quarter combat.
Finally it spoke again. "The female, I will take her, and spare you. It's been too long since I've felt the intimate flesh of another immortal that's not been a corpse, of course I don't mind if she disagrees I'll have her either way, I'm not fussy. Yes or no, there is no second chance to reconsider once I set upon your furry big ass."
"Spare me? I'm good, the only thing I'd like spared is talk. Wait, I think I've heard of you before from some legends, isn't your name, wait, it's coming to me, yes, wet doggy? Don't piss yourself if that's what it means as I'm coming for you."
It snarled hearing that, considering his name was Wetzdrog. It didn't like being made a mockery of. Pyrous took to the beast making a thunderous advance wondering if Zana had at least gotten to safety, he wasn't that bothered she didn't help him, what reason did she have? This wasn't her battle as it came for him. Reaching back it embraced for the defence, opting to allow it to strike first in order to counter straight off the bat.
It struck out with it's staff as Pyrous blocked using his his forearm, bearing the brunt on his gauntlet as it made a ringing metallic sound, while simultaneously using a punch, deftly striking the sternum with a thud to force his canine counterpart back. Pyrous wasn't going to stay on the back foot, it simply wasn't his thing, but pushing with both defence and offence intended to end it quickly before the other had a chance to see more of his combat.
Wetzdrog let out a howl as it spun it's staff around it's body and reengaged quickly, but with more aggression, leaving himself open as he took a jump, while bringing the staff overhead before smashing it down, and as Pyrous was to block, he didn't, seeing supernatural energies in the ground.
"Sneaky," he cried dodging to the side as a rocky spike shot up from the ground. Seems he's using Earth magic to double up attacks, I better be more careful. The creature raised his staff, driving it into the ground as multiple spikes came up from beneath Pyrous leaving him to shift with quick hops, and dashes in various directions, only just about able to see the energy before they came up. If he didn't have this gift of sight, a fraction of a second before they came up would have made all the difference between being impaled or not. 'I'm somewhat relieved now she's not here...'
Gazing at this other immortal, he could see the lack of talk and only murder burning in it's eyes. Pyrous knew full well, the petty struggle of power hungry immortals, and how they made pacts with others in order to eradicate the ones that would try to stop another from claiming their false godly status. Those were dark times, and though not many of god liberating types like himself remained, liberating humans, many had a few millennia past. If he even managed to win, he knew there were still more than one too many their type out there. Their numbers were greater, and many like this one, but stronger, so he didn't blame Zana from bailing in anyway.
"What's wrong wet dog? You keep missing? Still pissing yourself? I would too if I was you." Pyrous taunted, trying to get into his head although this was more difficult with him not replying, but it was working to an extent. No doubt it was anger in wolf's expression. 'Yes, about time,' He grinned as he felt the heat from his gauntlets, his eyes burst into flames, able to see magic lines and fields which the enemy's body produced to an incredibly enhanced extent, his ability of magical sight amplified, along with larger flames erupting on his back. "I'll dry you up wet dog."
Wetzdrog howled, as it's huge spikes were erupting from the ground. The wolf stamped into the ground as several spikes shot up around his body as he swirled his staff, smacking them hard to send them like bullets being fired. The huge fiery beast, for his size, nimbly avoided three, but felt the fourth pierce through his shoulder, passing all the way through as splutters of red shot out from his back leaving him to cry out in pain. "Ahhh, you motha-F..."
'Bastard, he's keeping me at range, and I screwed up letting him drive me back. Kinda means he isn't comfortable close range, so I gotta get into that fucker. Then cause some serious immortal injuries with these gauntlets as I smash the shit out of him. I need to make an opportunity.' Opening his palms towards the ground he let rip the most monstrous jet of flames that engulfed his foe and a large enough area around him to form a smoke screen of sorts. If it wasn't for the gift of his eyes able to see immortal energy, he too would have been blinded. The attacks were still coming in but they were uncoordinated more desperation to hit him than anything. Taking this as his moment, he blasted two streams of fire to either side of the creature, but he knew full well that this thing probably wouldn't be phased by fire being now enchanted with a granite armor, unless it was subjected to prolonged heat which wasn't going to happen.
He noticed a little blue flash darting about before vanishing. 'Damn it, I can't let my inferno just cut loose, she's still around, but what the hell is she upto? I had to pick a troublesome one, why couldn't I just have gone with a regular human like the last valentine. She's going to hinder me now. Think-think-think, I don't want to have a roasted immortal as these damn flames are fueled through my immortal killer, so they won't be nice if she's caught by even a lick of flame. If only she had gone with the original plan and just shielded me... Such a bother...'
Standing between the stream of flames, Wetzdrog narrowed his vision as he calculated the point between the two flames deducting that Pyrous can only exude them from his palms, making an educated guess from what he'd seen so far. Stamping his foot to the ground, he quickly forced the shards to ascend from the ground around him before blasting them towards the source with powerful strikes from his twirling staff again. Abruptly from the flame stream to his side a fist flew through, smashing the canine in the ribs as the granite armour cracked and fragmented away. He howled loudly, moving away. "Grawrrr, ugh... So it seems you can ride within the flames becoming fire itself for a moment..."
"Oh the wet dog has more lines! Thought you weren't the talkative type?" He taunted as he took to his solid form, closer in now, beginning to capitalise on the opening he'd created. If he didn't manage to take full advantage it could be troublesome. He remained in close weaving like a boxer, having had time to adjust his technique adopting something more flexible. From the expression on Wetzdrog's face he was confused as this wasn't something he'd faced before, not one of the vaunted styles of other immortals, but human?
A few fiery jabs struck into the creatures side as rocky parts fragmented away, being blasted off. The heat from his gauntlets was scorching red with each blow, leaving hot red marks over his enemy's torso.
"I'm going to knock you the fuck out," he threatened as he ducked a heavy staff swing, and now, he didn't have to contend with projectiles being so close in, knowing he wouldn't dare or risk also impaling himself. Taking a lower swing, Pyrous's immense physical strength caused the wolf's granite knee to buckle, followed be another blow to the same knee, forcing the granite to break away as pools of red dribbled down it. Wetzdrog hopped back on one foot cringing in pain, but no way was Pyrous letting him get that distance leverage in again as he went straight back in before the wolf could react. He noticed little hues of blue darting here and there, knowing she was seriously up to something, and it unnerved him. He continued to focus on his fight.
"I've got you now," Pyrous cried out swinging for that head cracking blow with all his might, stopping mid swing, his eyes shooting wide with pain. His pupils rolled to the side, seeing his arm, it had been run through. Next came his thigh as he cried out. "I, got careless..." he groaned.
"I end this now," Wetzdrog said as he raised his staff, as it shaped off the end into a sharpness which would end another immortal as it's ghastly black smoke sweltered at the tip. He paused, "But, this fuckable kitten, I thought went away, but seems she's running around with enchanted speed, and more than likely up to no good... Think I wouldn't catch on as she's faster than my sight? I feel her now," he said as Zana was rushing past so fast she was a mere blurred to desperately get to that final point of her casting. Wetzdrog swiftly snatched out, ripping her out of her enchanted, inhumanly fast run by the throat as a slapping sound came. "Gotcha..."
"Eeek guhckkk..." she screamed feeling as if it had almost crushed her wind pipe when it caught her.
"I want to enjoy her before I kill her, before your eyes." he said lifting her off her feet as she began choking. Tears ran down her cheeks as she squirmed and kicked terrified, as her cheeks and face began to turn pale.
"Let her go." Exitium cried as he felt several rock come up from the ground to snare him, exuding with enforced magical strength, becoming unbreakable. Struggling, he found it futile to free himself.
"No, I'll do her and kill her, before I kill you." The wolf stabbed his gastly staff into the soily, scorched ground, freeing him to do what he wished to her. Abruptly, the back of his hand struck across her face, slapping her hard as the sound echoed, cutting her bottom lip. Trickling, her transparent, glittery blue blood dribbled down her chin as her cheek was left, red and burning. She helplessly sobbed, looking at him in horror and fear. His hand began to caress up her inner thigh as he kept her suspended by the throat.
"Ah, nobility I see. Legends speak of true noble deities having blue blood, but I guess this is misunderstood, so it's transparent with blue energy. Still, it makes me want to do this to you even more."
Pyrous cried, feeling useless, pained and unable to do a thing. "Leave her alone..."
Her arms flailed as she slapped, scratched and kicked before her body grew more limp, trying to desperately whisper a spell, which broke as she choked between the whispered words. Crying and shivering, desperately trying again and again, unable to finish it within a single breath. Vulnerable and exposed she felt it's sharp claws moving up to under her skirt.
"I'll suffocate you while I enjoy sodomising your body."
