I stretch and yawn reaching for my coffee as I study over the device I've been working on for the past year or so. Its almost done. I think to myself and smile and my tail wags, my wings twitching in anticipation. If this works it'll be the first ever working shrink ray! I purr happily to myself. My ears perk and twitch as I hear the lock to the front door being messed with. Not long after the door opens. "Inqu? You in here~?" I hear my roommate call out. "Yeah, just in my room~!" I smile and stand covering my desk in a blanket before heading out into the living room.

There taking off her shoes was my roommate, a white mouse with black spots strewn about her body her hair a gun metal grey with pink highlights matching the tuft of fur on her tail tip. I blush lightly as I notice she wasn't wearing socks and her foot paws have a good deal of sweat on them. She smiles up at me before sighing. "Please don't tell me you've been in your room all day, you know that's not good for you." She giggles. "I'm perfectly fine and healthy for your info~" I purr and smile petting her. "S-stop that!" she blushes and flails her arms around to get me to move my paw away from her head. "Aww I thought you loved my pets, shorty~" I giggle and smile down at her.

There wasn't much of a height difference between us, only a few inches but enough to allow me to see over her. "Y-You're not that much taller than me you know!" She huffs and crosses her arms. "I know but its still enough to be noticeably taller~" I purr and head into the kitchen of our little two-bedroom apartment. As she follows her paws leaving behind a bit of condensation on the floor. "Y-you know one day all that tall talk is going to catch up to you~!" She smiles and giggles clearly not in a truly sour mood. "Maybe, and maybe one day you'll be around to say I told you so~" I giggle and my tail wags. M-maybe that day will be later today and you'll be the one to find me~ I blush lightly my tail wagging as I think about what she might do.

"Oh! That reminds me, there is a party I'm going to later would you like to join in~?" She smiles and grabs a drink from the fridge. "No, I still have a few more things I need to do before going out again." I admit as I begin to make a small snack. "Awww come on! You never leave the house anymore!" She whimpers. "I know, but what im working on could seriously change the way things work in this world~!" I purr happily. "Gah that's what you said a year ago." She looks at me with a fake angry look. "Trust me, you'll be the first to know what it is when it's done I promise~" I purr happily. "Oh I'm real sure I will~" She giggles as she says her sentence with a ton of sarcasm.

"I-Its true!" I blush. "I'm just teasing, anyway I should be getting ready, the part is going to start soon~" She smiles happily and heads into her room. I stare at her paws as she walks my body heating up slightly as they move, flex and left off the ground "J-Just be safe, I don't need to go looking for a new roommate!" I smile and call after her. She nods and waves as she enters her room and closes the door. Goddess her paws are so sexy! I blush to myself and head back into my room. I sit down and wiggle my hips a bit thinking about the fun I could have when she's asleep at 2cm tall.

I shake my head as I clear the thoughts out of my head. That's only if this crazy thing works properly... I think to myself as I pull the blanket off my desk and get back to work. A good ten minutes pass before I hear my roommate's door open. "I'm heading out Inqu don't wait up~!" I call's out to me. "Hey just be safe Jane!" I call out to her as I keep working.

A few hours pass before I turn the last screw on the machine and stand triumphantly. "It's finally finished!" I yell and purr. "Now, just to test it out~" I purr and my tail wags happily as I gently pick it up. I take a deep breath and smile. A whole years work finally comes down to this one test. I think and quickly point it at an apple I placed on my night stand before I stop myself from pulling the trigger.Right, I should probably set the timer to see if it works properly. I giggle. That could have been bad. I smile to myself and turn the shrink ray on its side for the settings.

I never understood why with every movie, tv show, and story I've read there was always some fatal flaw where it shrink people to oblivion or shrunk people to the right size but then because the gun didn't have a timer they had to run around to get someone's attention so they could grow them back. I shake my head and smile turning the timer dial to 10 seconds before I take aim at the apple again. Amateurs~ I giggle and fire at the apple shrinking it down to 2 cm like I had planned.

I then began to count down from ten seconds. Upon hitting 1 the apple grows back to normal. I pump my fist. "Hell yeah! Take that you stupid fiction stories!" I giggle before heading over to the apple and begin to inspect it for any ill effects. "Hmm seems okay~" I purr.

Alright time to test it on myself~_I think before I lay down on the floor and point the gun at myself. For those of you wondering I laid down in case the gun didn't shrink with me and I didn't need it to fall on me or hit the floor and break because I didn't take that into account. _3...2...1 I take a breath and pull the trigger, just like I was hoping wouldn't happen the gun didn't shrink with me. I groan and roll onto my belly; the shrinking process was like one of those dreams where you feel like your falling and then suddenly wake up. It took me so long to recover that I actually grew back before fully recovering which made the situation worse.

I yelp as I fall onto my rump and smack the back of my head on my desk. Damnit! I think to myself rubbing the back of my head. That fucking hurt... I whimper and sigh looking over to my right to see the gun still intact. Yes my clumsiness didn't break it~! I purr and take a few breaths to calm myself and fully regain some composer before getting up and gently picking up the shrink ray. I place it on my desk and grope around myself to see if anything has been misplaced or out of whack.

Nope just my sexy self~_I giggle and purr to myself as I look over to my gun and blush. _Time for a lengthy test. I reach out and grab it before my ears perk. I think to myself before my ears perk.

Ah! I got it I'll make a little ladder to help me down~ I purr and my genius. I begin to warm up a bunch of water and begin to melt popsicles to get their sticks. Once I have enough I take the hot glue gun and begin to make myself a ladder. It doesn't take much longer maybe an hour or so before the 77cm long latter is made and I secure it to my desk with some tape before I climb onto the desk just now realizing I just did all of that naked. Well not like anyone is home~ I giggle and grab my shrink ray again. This time I turn the timer up to a whole 24 hours. There that should give me a solid time to find out if there are any ill effects of being small for long amounts of time. I smile and put the gun to my head again.

This time I don't waste any time before I pull the trigger. I quickly shrink down to the 2cm I have the gun set at. I close my eyes and hold onto the desk as the world spins around me. It slowly begins to wear off as it begins to give me a headache.

N-Note to self, give ample time to adjust to shrinking effects... I groan and hold my head. It takes about ten minutes for the world to stop spinning around me. Once I get my baring's back and I can stand for more than a few seconds I begin to make my way over to my ladder. I begin to slowly make my way down; my paws begin to shake a bit. I pant and look over at my door again. W-wait maybe I can get under it... I flap my wings a few times before I take off towards the door I land and stumble a bit as I get closer.

I get onto my belly and begin to crawl, I wince and wiggle my way through the opening at the bottom. My wings making it hard as the bottom of the door isn't painted and usually very rough, some of my feathers being pulled out by the time I make it through. "Yes!" I cheer loudly as I pant a bit. Goddess that was hard work for just getting out of my room. Blushing and smiling a bit.

I gasp and my ears perk when I notice Jane left her jogging shoes behind. O-Oh goddess do I do it? D-do I climb into her shoes?... Yes! "I guess you were that little buggy huh Inqu, I told you so~" She murrs and her tail flicks about. "Thanks for the shrink ray as well, Im definitely going to have sooo much fun with it~"
