To charm a dragon part 11
It was a hundred years to the day that Hyran and Amethyst had become life-mated. Neither had changed in any noticeable way. Hyran was still the same teenager who had fallen in love with a dragon by the side of a lake, although he was now a master of almost every weapon ever created, and a lot wiser and smarter.
Amethyst for her part hadn't changed at all. She still squealed with indignation every time Hyran did something that she didn't like. She still curled up to him at night, and made passionate love to him every chance she got.
On their anniversary, the pair was to be found in bed, after consummating their life mating for the fifth time that day. It was the most passionate and fiery she had been since the memorable day that they had been joined. Afterwards, she had pounced on him and literally dragged him into their little house. They would take each other, rest for a few minutes, and then go again.
They had settled down a bit now, because, after all, they now had another thousand years to enjoy each other.
But Hyran still had the body of a teenager, and the hormones and lust that went with it; even the wisdom of an old man was not enough to stem the flow. His love for amethyst had not dimmed over the ages as most do; instead, it had grown, until it seemed to encompass every fibre of his being.
Hyran gently stroked her neck with a hand, staring into her eyes. He leaned in and kissed her. She arched slightly and purred, completely content with the world.
Her eyes suddenly snapped open.
"We have to leave." She said suddenly.
"Wha--?" He began, but amethyst silenced him with a shout. "Now!" She roared, literally the loudest sound she had ever made since he had known her.
Hyran leapt up and grabbed her, pulling her into his arms and sprinting towards the main gates of white heaven.
Something strange was happening, the light, which had always been a weird blue colour, was wavering, slowly turning red, and then back to blue, before turning fully red for a second, and then back to blue again. Each burst of red coincided perfectly with a throb of pain in his skull, and a little moan from Amethyst.
"What's happening!?" He yelled out.
"I don't know!" Amethyst squealed, sounding afraid for the first time he had known her.
Hyran redoubled his speed. He remembered amethyst's little talk about the tides of good and evil, and how white heaven would not allow any member of the winning team inside. He sprinted even harder, reaching the gate just as the light turned red and stayed that way.
The people remaining inside the walls of the White Haven fell to the ground, where they began to convulse as if in an epileptic fit.
Amethyst and Hyran were of the few that had escaped the walls before the accident. They stood outside the open gate, staring at the now still bodies of the people they had come to know as friends.
"We can't stay here." Amethyst said quietly, tugging at his pants gently to urge him into action.
"Why not?" He asked, unable to tear his eyes from the scene of death in front of him.
"They're coming." She stated.
Hyran stared at her. It had been close to seventy years since Hyran had last faced the Halivante. He still bore a scar from the encounter, which arced from his right shoulder, down his back to his left armpit.
"How long?" Hyran asked, getting worried.
"Only an hour." She replied anxiously, looking at him to see what he would do.
An hour sounded like a long time, but it wasn't long at all. An hour could be made up in only a few miles.
"Let's go then." Hyran stated. "Mountain's, desert, or swamp?" He asked.
"Mountains." She replied decisively, slicing a paw through the air for emphasis.
"Mountains it is." Hyran replied, starting to jog off to the east, Amethyst keeping up with him by flying overhead.
As he went, several people followed, mainly because they were used to people leading them all the time and now, without any figure of authority, they were looking for someone to tell them what to do.
Hyran said nothing as they joined him, knowing that if he accepted becoming their leader then there would be trouble when someone eventually started to lag, at which point they would have to be left behind. Anything that slowed them down couldn't be tolerated.
Hyran looked up as he jogged along, seeing Amethyst framed by the sun shining between the peaks of two snow-capped mountains.
He didn't know where they were going, and from the looks of it, no one else did either.
* * *
It was well into the afternoon when they caught their first glimpse of the pursuers.
Amethyst was the first to notice the cloud of dust on the west horizon, highlighted by the setting sun.
Everyone turned around for a second, and just stared at the approaching enemies. Where they were standing was pretty elevated, so Hyran was quite sure that the enemy was a long way from catching them yet. But the opposition was making very good time, as if they were sprinting all the way.
Hyran had been hoping to at least make it into the foothills before he had to confront the enemy, because then they would have been able to set an ambush and tip the scales in their favour a bit, but it looked like that wasn't going to happen. They would be caught before high noon the next day.
* * *
Hyran stared around at his ragtag 'army', and felt the lead weight of hopelessness fall into his stomach. None of them had had time to grab weapons when the accident had happened, so very few of them were armed. Only the very paranoid, the extremely careful, or the few who carried daggers under their clothes had weapons of any kind, and all they had were small knives. Everyone else was barehanded. It didn't look good.
Hyran chose the place for the conflict, a hill, the steepest one they could find, with loose rocks at the bottom and a sheltered wall on the east side that would provide good cover for arrows.
* * *
The enemy came at them straight on, not using any tactics at all, just attacking wildly, engaging in a brutal melee, the few who had bows staying back and firing into the fighters wildly, hitting friend as much as foe.
Hyran was in the first charge, telling the second rank to charge only if they saw the first line failing. He had told Amethyst to hide, and that, under no circumstances, was she to leave safety.
He rushed at the wall of enemies, who were pounding towards him, their robes flapping in the wind, various weapons held at the ready.
His first opponent was a Halivante wielding two sai, spinning them through the air to bring them down on both of his shoulders at once.
He caught the things wrists, and head butted it viciously, knocking it unconscious with a single blow.
He took the sai's from the creature's slack hands and went into a killing spree.
He leapt to the left, slicing once, opening up a line of blood across one Halivante's throat, spinning the sai in his other hand only to ram it into the things stomach, leaving the weapon there, throwing his remaining sai at another Halivante who was about to kill a teenage human who was lying on his back, his arm held above his head in a futile attempt to block the killing blow.
Hyran picked up two swords, one of them the generic katana, while the other was something a bit more special.
It was about a metre long, the blade fashioned into the shape of a flickering flame, with three points, each one glinting wickedly in the sunlight, each point one-third of the blade below the one before it, the light reflected from its surface seen as a red colour, giving the impression that the blade was a flame in itself.
Hyran threw the katana to a lycanthrope who was doing a very good job with claws anyway, and held the flame blade in a two-handed stance, ready for action.
He watched as a mounted Halivante neared, the horses footing unsure on the loose ground, one of the reasons Hyran had chosen this spot. The horse neared, and Hyran leapt forwards, spinning through the air, slicing hard and landing, his right arm outstretched, the blade glinting in the sunlight.
The headless body rolled off the horse, hitting the ground with a sick thud.
The horse turned on him, which was the first time he really looked at it.
He had originally thought that the horse had been brown with black armour plating, but on closer inspection it was actually a deep black, with smooth, dark-blue armour, designed to offer no purchase to attackers. The horses mouth was wider than most, filled with sharp teeth, small tongues of flame darting from between the snarling lips, smoke curling from the nostrils as red eyes stared out from holes in the heavy armour.
Hyran leapt to the side as the horse thing charged, flaming wildly, burning the leg of a Halivante standing nearby, who had been locked in combat with a raptor.
Hyran leapt back the way he had come, slicing hard, his sword cutting through the armour and then, as it lost force and momentum, sliding harmlessly across the smooth armour.
The horse roared with pain, whirling on him and lashing out with its hooves, catching him a glancing blow across the chest, knocking him to the ground.
Hyran rolled backwards, pushing off with his hands to land on his feet, sword held at the ready as the horse charged again.
He stepped to the side, slicing as hard as he could, almost jarring his arm as he hit the strong head armour full force.
The horse roared again as the armour on its head shattered from the force of the blow, an arrow careening in and sticking in a part of its neck that had just been revealed. The armour on its neck was still intact, the way it had shattered leaving several jagged spikes sticking forwards, which dug in every time the horse thing moved its neck. It didn't seem to even notice, even when one of them dug in deep, lodging in the flesh and staying there.
Hyran watched as it slowly turned around, snorting with anger and pawing the ground like an enraged bull as it tensed up, preparing to charge.
Hyran could see its forehead, and the stump of the black spike that had once been a horn clearly visible. He realised that this thing had once been a unicorn, a creature of purity and beauty, now reduced to a demented travesty of what it once was. He didn't feel hate or fear for it. He just felt pity.
"I shall release you." He said quietly, staring at the former-unicorn challengingly, holding his sword with the tip pointing forwards, the flat of the blade almost pressed against his cheek, his weight evenly balanced on his feet.
They stood like that for several moments, each staring at the other, one in hate, the other with a calm patience. A figure stepped between them, an arrow taking it through the shoulder, sending it to the ground. The two adversaries didn't even blink.
The horse charged without warning, and Hyran tensed up, moving his weight to his front foot, bracing his back one for the impact, gleaming sword held forwards, the tip pointing straight at the charging horses head.
The hose struck hard. It didn't make any attempt to dodge the blade, as if wanting release from its torment. The tip of the sword sheared through its skull, killing it instantly, the horn on its head suddenly shooting outwards as it died, the colour of its skin slowly changing to pure white as its momentum carried it forwards.
Hyran dodged to the left, the sword wrenched from his hand as the unicorn ploughed past him, rolling for a few metres, crushing several figures under its weight, before coming to rest, the sword thrown clear by the rolling motion. It spun up through the air, spiralling into the earth, where it hit, blade down, sticking straight up from the ground, not five metres away.
Hyran looked past it, to where something golden gleamed brightly.
What he saw made his heart stop.
Amethyst was trussed up, her muzzle clamped shut, her wings bound to her body, all four feet tied together to ensure immobility. A Halivante carried her, a small black and red dragon walking besides her.
Hyran churned into action, a white-hot rage erupting inside him. He leapt forwards, rolling over the sword, drawing it from the ground and leaping into the air, using heads and shoulders as stepping-stones as he leapt nimbly across the battlefield, closing the distance between him and his beloved.
He leapt off a Halivante as hard as he could, landing besides the two figures that held his love.
He spun the heavy sword in circular motions, coming to rest with it held across his front, ready for anything.
Now that he was closer, he could finally see the black dragon properly.
It was slightly bigger than Amethyst, it's scales a uniform shiny black colour, red eyes staring from it long, tooth-filled muzzle, two large wings crossed with red veins folded tightly to its back, ebony claws unsheathed and digging into the ground with its annoyance.
Hyran stepped forwards as Amethyst stared at him pleadingly. He spun, aiming a heavy blow for the Halivante who was way too slow to stop him. The sword cut it cleanly in half, spilling its blood across both of the dragons.
The dragon snorted with anger and suddenly grew in size, until it was as tall as Hyran at the shoulder.
Hyran leapt backwards as it swiped at him irritably with a paw, long claws unsheathed to hook him and slash him open.
He leapt forwards straight after wards, leaping over its head, turning in the air, reversing his sword so that he held it point-down in both hands. He slammed it downwards as hard as he could, the blade catching in the dragon's black, red-veined wing. The combined weight and momentum of Hyran's strike pulled the blade down the dragon's wing, tearing open the delicate membranes.
Hyran lifted his feet and pushed off the dragons flank, doing a long back flip through the air before landing on his feet, legs slightly spread to balance, sword once again at the ready.
The dragon's tail came from out of nowhere, the long red spike on it skewering him through the shoulder, several feet of the blood-slicked point sticking out the other side. He could feel something starting to coarse through his veins, like a poisoned barb piercing his skin.
Hyran gave a little gasp, his eyes wide, surprise etched on his face.
The dragon lifted him off his feet, using just the spike, causing Hyran to drop his sword and moan in pain, clutching convulsively at its tail.
The dragon brought him to its face, staring down its muzzle at him.
"Hmmm. So you're Amethyst's mate. She couldn't have picked a less worthy person to bestow her love upon. You are not fit for a human female, let alone a dragon princess." It stated conversationally, staring at him penetratingly.
Through the haze of pain, a single thought came through. Princess?
The dragon roared as something yanked it off its feet, its tail whipping to the side, sending Hyran flying through the air, the spike sliding from his shoulder with a sickening sound.
He had the impression of the world tilting crazily, of a numb feeling in his hand, and then darkness.
* * *
Hyran opened his eyes slowly, blinking a few times in the bands of light that filtered through the gaps between the wooden roof overhead.
He was aware of Amethyst curled up to his side, purring softly, her head resting on his chest, her breath washing over his neck.
She sensed that he was awake, and opened her eyes as well, yawning widely and smiling at him.
"You're awake." She stated.
"No I'm not." Hyran groaned, closing his eyes and laying back as the full force of a headache hit him.
He lifted his arm to his forehead, covering his eyes so that no sunlight could hit his eyelids.
It was then that he noticed that his arm was completely healed.
"You were told not to do any healing magic." He said, not moving at all.
"It wasn't me. There's a shaman here who can do it." She replied, nibbling at his neck and giggling as he ran his hand up and down her neck with his free arm, trailing his fingers along her scales lightly in the way that he knew she liked it.
"Where are we?" He asked.
"The forest around MT. Fruthel." She said.
Hyran recalled from a book somewhere that MT. Fruthel was the biggest mountain for several thousand miles.
"What town?" He asked.
"A little military encampment. It doesn't have a name." She elaborated, moving onto licking his neck.
"Are you trying to start something?" He asked, moving his arm and opening his eyes to stare into hers.
"Maybe." She said mischievously. He could see the sparkle in her eyes that was always followed by a long, passionate lovemaking session.
"Can you go easy on me?" He asked, very aware of his headache.
"Just a sec." She replied, and then whistled a strange little tune.
A few seconds later a shaman walked into the shack.
He was a tall, thin man, with bones piercing several parts of his face, his long hair braded into a long rope that hung over his shoulder, a necklace of bones jangling around his neck, his brown skin stretched tightly over his bones.
"He's awake." Amethyst said unnecessarily.
The shaman walked over, pressed his bony hand against Hyran's forehead. The hand felt cool, and suddenly his headache was gone, a feeling of rejuvenation filling him in its place.
"Thanks." He said as the shaman turned away from him and left, giving Amethyst a single, knowing look.
"Now. Do you still want me to go easy on you?" She asked slyly, straddling him and rubbing her body against him, purring quietly.
"Oh no. You're not doing anything to me." He said, cocking his head to the side and staring at her.
Her face fell. "Why not?" She asked, stopping her rubbing, her purring stuttering as she looked at him with a crestfallen look on her face.
"Because I'm gonna do it all to you." He stated, rolling her onto the bed besides him and pouncing on her, kissing up and down her neck while growling playfully at her as best as his human throat could manage.
Amethyst squealed at the treatment, kicking lightly at the air with her back legs, laying her head flat against the pillow as Hyran kissed lovingly up her body.
But this wasn't what Amethyst wanted. She wasn't really in the mood for light foreplay, and rolled over, pinning him to the bed and nipping playfully at the base of his throat.
He hurriedly undressed, and tossed his clothes to the side as Amethyst resumed her kissing.
She slowly moved her kisses down further, licking along his belly, causing the muscles underneath the taught skin to tense up, before she reached his cock, giving it a few quick licks to encourage hardness, before eagerly taking it in.
Hyran moaned at the treatment, gently caressing her cheeks as she sucked him off.
Amethyst twirled her tongue all along the length of his cock, sucking gently, causing Hyran to buck upwards slightly, pressing his cock into her warm and waiting mouth as far as it would go.
She cooed around his length, and sucked a little harder, her paws coming up to rest on his thighs as she started to bob her head up and down on his hard and needy length.
Just as he started to throb in her mouth, she stopped, smiling at him as she released his slick member from her warm mouth, staring at him lustfully and crawling up his body, kissing him once before turning around and lifting her tail invitingly.
He held her hips with his hands, drawing her downwards until her lips were pressed against his. He lapped at her gently, causing her to arch sharply back against him, forcing his tongue between her soft, moist lips. He delved in eagerly, tilting his head to get a better angle, thrusting his tongue in deeper, sucking lightly at her lips. Her head shot up and she squealed with pleasure, convulsing slightly as he probed at her heated depths with the tip of his tongue.
Hyran moved his tongue faster, her juices starting to run down his chin and neck, her tail lifting still higher, giving him the best access to her body that she could manage.
He pressed a finger into her, smiling as she gasped with pleasure, closing her eyes and giving a satisfied smile of her own as he added another finger, slowly working them in and out, his tongue resuming its licking as he fingered her.
His free hand trailed down her side, up her neck, and then began to knead at her scales gently.
She leaned into his caresses, gasping with pleasure as his tongue found a sensitive spot and he began to lap at it relentlessly. He had had sex with her more times than he could count, and far from getting boring, it got better each time as they both knew the spots on each others body where they like to be touched the most.
Hyran moved his fingers a little faster, lapping at her clit with quick, flicking strokes, taking her right to the edge and pushing her over with satisfaction.
She squealed with pleasure, arching her back like a cat, her sex spasming around his fingers, his tongue still caressing her convulsing muscles as her orgasm slowly petered out, leaving her lying on his chest, spent, her head resting on his knee, content but hungry for more, painfully aware of the throbbing erection pressed against her and the feral need deep inside her, only further ignited by his hands and tongue.
Amethyst turned around, pressing her wet lips against the rock-hard head of his cock, growling cutely and rubbing her warm opening over his raging erection.
He groaned and kissed her neck as she lifted her head, closing her eyes and rocking against him, concentrating on the feelings of his member caressing her most sensitive place.
She arched her back and slid down his erection, her sex rippling along his length, making him gasp and run his hands along her back and tail as she stared down at him lovingly, purring contently as she started to rock back and forth slowly.
Hyran breathed in deeply, holding it, so that he could focus completely on the feelings that her body against him and his member so deep inside her sent through him. He thrust upwards gently, filling her completely, making her croon softly and arch against him, her purring growing louder as her pleasure grew.
Hyran rolled her over tenderly, smiling down at her and thrusting gently, making her coo and bury her head in his neck, holding on gently as she was ravished by her love.
He moved, taking them both over to the edge of the bed, swinging his legs over it, placing his feet on the ground, and standing up, holding her hips and alternately lifting her and pushing her down his throbbing length, burying his cock deep inside her welcoming depths repeatedly as he kissed her neck.
Amethyst leaned backwards slightly, Hyran doing the same, holding her steady with his hands as they continued to move together, his cock sliding as deep between her soft lips as physically possible as she started to move faster, flapping her wings slightly to help them move faster as she neared her orgasm.
Hyran began to thrust into her rapidly, pulling her close and holding her firmly in place, bucking upwards, his cock filling her swollen opening with each movement, making them both moan and gasp, holding each other close as they started to lose control.
Hyran began to thrust into her ruthlessly, ravaging her gorgeous body as she rocked hard against him, her mouth hanging open, hitched gasps of delight escaping her quivering jaws as the pleasure got even more intense.
She moved, using her tail, legs and wings to force him back onto the bed, where she straddled him once again, rocking hard against him, her wet lips sliding up and down his rigid cock as her tense opening quaked around him, pushing them both over the edge with unified cries of pleasure.
Amethyst thrust down hard, staring lovingly into his eyes as she buried his cock deep inside her rippling opening, her paws resting on his chest as glorious orgasm coursed through her body, her sex tightening around his member, milking the spurting length eagerly.
Hyran thrust up into her hard, letting out his own cry of pleasure as her tight, rippling insides milked his spurting erection, thick streams of creamy cum spilling from the tip of his straining member, spurting his hot seed deep into her belly, flooding her womb with each strong pulse of hot white semen within her quivering opening.
Amethyst collapsed on top of him, whispering words of love in his ear, which he fervently returned with immense sincerity as he pulled her closer, kissing her and gently caressing her still-twitching muscles with his hands, holding her close as they rested together in the soft afterglow.
"My princess." Hyran whispered in her ear. Amethyst, only half-awake, murmured back an affirmative before falling asleep.

Four hours in the dead of night and six cups of coffee later, and you have what is undoubtedly the best yiff scene I have written to date (If you ask me anyway.) I 'perused' the yiff several times before posting it, so it should be near perfect.
