First Draft 9/15/06

Disclaimer: This series is a tribute to three of my favorite forms of entertainment - kick-ass martial arts, Mortal Kombat, and hot anthro smut. All characters are created by and owned by me (in whatever form you can own imaginary furry folk), unless stated otherwise. Special Thanks to Setta Flamowitz for suggesting Carnal Combat and Carnalities over my slightly cheesier idea of Immoral Combat and Sexualities.

Daichi entered into the Meditation Pool and scanned the area. He saw the other fighters there, all relaxing and talking. Dusk and Rhane were there, and even Hitomi and Stardust were present, though Hitomi was sitting at a notable distance.

The fox made his way over to the group. The Meditation Pool was a large, circular room with a shallow pool of shimmering blue water in the center, and from this pool the floor sloped upwards to a higher level; this level was narrow and had several wooden benches. There was another slope up to a third level, and on the third level there were piles of cushions and other comfortable seating.

It was on this third level that the Tournament combatants were sitting. Daichi was fairly surprised to see all of them there, as there had been a distinct lack of contact between them as a whole since Stardust's attack.

He greeted them when he arrived, and after a brief bit of banter he asked a question that he knew would likely ruffle some fur.

"Has anyone seen Spectre?" He asked. "I haven't seen him since the other night, at the party."

Hitomi smirked. "He's been missing since then. Interesting timing," she said, flicking her long tail sharply. "I wonder what it is that he's avoiding, hmm?"

Daichi frowned. That morning his patience was in unusually short supply. Part of it was due to the fact that his friend was missing, and part was due to the fact that that night he would be facing Dusk, a significant challenge indeed. It left him with little tolerance for Hitomi's rudeness.

"What is it exactly that you have against Spectre that makes you so eager to blame him for what happened to Stardust? You have absolutely no more evidence that he did it than we do that he did NOT do it, and yet you cling to every possibility that it was him. Explain to me why you want him to be guilty." The fox stared her down, and for a moment she seemed shocked that the normally passive fox could be so direct. It didn't take her long to gather her retort, though.

"I think he's responsible because of his behavior," she said back darkly. "I don't know what they teach you in your House, but in ours we are taught that use of another's body is reserved for two occasions: Intimacy between friends or lovers, or as the result of Combat. Your friend, however, didn't seem to see it that way. He took ever opportunity he had to get his paws on a vulnerable female. He visited the Dungeons every day that he wasn't fighting, and he even had the gall to take Dusk's rabbit friend on that very first night.

"I blame Spectre because it would be just like him to take what he wanted," she muttered. "I wonder if he can get it up any other way."

"You're wrong," Daichi said. "And when you're proven wrong, I hope Spectre has the compassion and mercy toward you that you seem so eager to deny him."

Silence hung in the air a moment before Daichi stormed off. Hitomi spoke first, shaking her head as she did so.

"I don't think that I'm being unreasonable in the least. The evidence..."

"The evidence is circumstantial at best, planted at worst," Dusk interrupted, standing up. "You have the word of a guard under Ra' Chi's orders and a mysterious note that can't be verified. Spectre has the word of a slave and the word of one VERY honorable fox, who has spoken nothing but reason in the matter so far."

Dusk turned to leave, but then lingered a moment longer. "In fact, Spectre now has evidence that he was telling the truth about Ra' Chi's spy, so in my eyes there is more proof of his innocence than there is of his guilt."

Dusk then left. Hitomi squirmed a little, turning her ears towards Rhane. The vixen was already up though, following Dusk.

"They're right, you know," she called back as she left. "Don't let your feelings of guilt for not being there to protect Stardust control your sensibilities."

Hitomi sat there quietly, with the world suddenly turning against her. She felt very embarrassed, and very foolish.

Stardust sighed, standing up to place a kiss on Hitomi's cheek. "You are my friend, Hitomi," she said. "But you are wrong."

The mare started to leave, and Hitomi called out meekly after her. "Where are you going?"

"To find Spectre, and to find out who the true guilty party is," the mare said, and then slipped away.

Hitomi sat alone, listening to the water ripple below her as she felt her heart sink.

Kaine entered into the Throne Room, where Ra' Chi sat quietly. The old dragon had finally opened his chamber back up, calling on his Champion. As the stallion approached, Ra' Chi looked up.

"Tell me what has transpired over the last two days," he said simply. Kaine frowned, disturbed to hear that Ra' Chi knew nothing of what had happened since the Beast was killed.

"We had the festivities, as was planned," the horse said. "Food, fights, all of it. I had Selena fight the rabbit Suki to redeem herself, and Selena won.

"I am sorry to inform you that Ruin was defeated by Hitomi, though. It would seem I'm the last fighter from the House of Shadow standing." The stallion offered up the last bit with a slight smirk.

"You took it upon yourself to free Selena? You ousted her to the other fighters just to humiliate an already defeated rabbit?" Ra' Chi's voice was dark. "The plan was to discredit the skunk and to try and allow Selena and Khan a chance to slip back into the secrecy again."

"I'm aware of that," Kaine retorted. "In fact, I instructed Selena to capture and hide the skunk away. Just moments ago she informed me that she was able to overhear the other fighters arguing over the skunk's disappearance. The accusation that he had fled in guilt surfaced immediately."

"Your job is to fight and do as I command," Ra' Chi yelled, his voice booming around the room. Kaine didn't flinch at all, but instead glared at the dragon.

"I would have," he said simply. "If you were there to give a command. Since you were not, I took it upon myself to try and maintain order in our House."

Kaine knew that he was risking his life and his future with what he did next, but he was determined to show Ra' Chi that he was no servant. He was the Combat Champion.

"If you feel the need to rage at someone," the stallion said, turning and walking away from the dragon, "Aim it at Ruin, if you can find him."

Kaine left the fuming dragon to himself once more, and strode off to warn Ruin that Ra' Chi might come looking for him.

Spectre awoke the next morning in a small cage, barely big enough for him to sit up in. He was still naked, and there was still cum in his crotch fur. He groaned and leaned back against the bars of his cage. He had really gotten himself into a pinch this time.

After Selena had ridden him on the rack, she would occasionally return to torment him. For awhile it consisted of her roughly squeezing his balls or abusing his nipples, but eventually she was able to get him hard again, and when she did she fitted him with a cockring that held him erect, and kept him from cumming. She then fondled him to the point where his balls screamed in agony, and he writhed deliciously for her before she finally removed the ring and watched him shoot his jizz in powerful spurts over his own body.

So now here he was, captured and caged. Then, as he lay there thinking, he heard a whispered voice.

"You awake?"

For the first time since he came to, Spectre noticed that his cage was covered by a burgundy sheet, and so he couldn't see what was around him. Curious, he replied in a whisper to the question.

"I suppose so," he said. "Who's there?"

"My name is Hikaro, from the House of Sand. You?"

"Spectre, from the House of Stone," he said with a grin. "You're a fighter?"

"I am," Hikaro said. "Kaine defeated me at last year's Tournament, and then presented me to Selena as a gift. On that note, I guess I should welcome you to her Harem."

Spectre nodded. Things made more sense now. "Who else is here?"

"Just a few others," Hikaro said, and his voice sounded a bit brighter. "No other fighters, though. It was just me."

Spectre chuckled as Hikaro read his mind. "So, in other words Selena may have bitten off more than she could chew with two well-trained fighting slaves, right?"

Hikaro laughed. "It would seem so. I think I can come up with some good escape plans if I know I've got someone who can fight to work with."

Spectre smiled. Things were looking up already, and it wasn't even noon.

Stardust had not been back down to the Dungeons since her attack. Truth be told, the incident wasn't exactly traumatizing. Whatever her attacker had given her before hand had kept her horny as a mare could get, and so the worst part of the whole thing had been when he left her alone.

What truly bothered her about it was how easily she was duped, and how easily she was caught.

On top of that, now she had indirectly caused trouble for Spectre. With each passing day the mare felt more and more that the skunk was innocent, and now with his disappearance she was worried. If he fled the accusations, she felt bad that he had been driven off. If something else had happened...well, she hoped that she could find out and perhaps be that source of usefulness she had hoped to be when she first came down to the Dungeon.

Once she was in the central room of the Dungeons the mare took her time, wandering around and just trying to be observant in general. The crowd was unusually small that day, and most of the patrons had elected to use the private rooms instead of the public areas.

Eventually she made her way down a narrow passage, where another public room was tucked away. It was fairly sparse, with typical toys spread around. A set of stocks here, an X-rack there; one quick glance was all she needed.

Stardust turned to leave, and nearly collided with Dusk. She yelped, staggering back as the panther came to a sudden halt, trying not to walk into her. He chuckled when he saw her and he shook his head.

"I hope I didn't scare you, Miss Stardust," he smiled. Stardust laughed as well, shaking her head as she tried to ignore her thudding heart.

"No, no...I'm fine," she said, noticing then that Suki was standing behind the panther on a leash. The mare grinned a little bashfully and nodded to the rabbit.

"I see you're on business," she giggled. "I'll leave you two be."

Dusk put a paw on the mare's shoulder and grinned. "Actually, if you'd like to stick around, I'd welcome it. I was going to kill two birds with one stone, by blowing off a little steam on Suki before my match while getting her away from the thugs out there. I think we could kill a third bird by getting your mind off of things."

Stardust blinked and looked at the panther, and then at the rabbit. Suki smiled and shrugged, nodding at the mare.

"Might as well," Suki said. "It may be your only chance at me, since we're both out of the Tournament and my schedule is kind of busy."

The mare laughed and nodded, fighting back a slight blush. She wasn't shy about these matters in the least, but she had never been invited into a situation like this and she was terribly flattered.

Dusk grinned and tugged Suki into the middle of the room. The rabbit's paws were already cuffed together, and the panther pulled them up over her head, securing them to a chain that dangled from the ceiling. Stardust watched the other females breasts rise, and for the first time the mare realized just how delicious the bunny girl was. She suddenly didn't blame the House of Shadow for wanting her in their inventory.

As Stardust admired the bound bunny, Dusk slipped out of his pants. He looked around and, spying a small chest, he went over to examine the contents. He immediately found what he wanted, and with a smile he selected the object and walked over to Stardust.

"Hey, my dear...put this on..."

Daichi snapped out of his meditation as he heard a knock on his door. The fox looked out the window quickly, and judged that he still had quite some time before his match that night. So, with a slow stretch, he answered the door.

Much to his surprise he found Hitomi waiting on the other side. The mouse nodded meekly as she greeted him.

"Can I come in?" She asked. "I'd...like to apologize."

Daichi nodded and let Hitomi in. There was an awkward silence for a moment, and then Hitomi spoke.

"You're right," she said. "Rhane was right. I've been using Spectre as a means of venting my anger at myself for not being there for Stardust. We don't know who attacked her and the proof that is there is so convenient that I feel like a fool for supporting it at all, even to make myself feel better."

Daichi shook his head. "I understand," the fox said. "It isn't easy to stand by and watch someone you care about be hurt."

Hitomi laughed softly and nodded. "Ah, Rhane," she said. The fox shifted shyly for a moment, but Hitomi continued. "Yes...Stardust means a lot to me. I've been her sparring partner for years, and I helped ready her for the Tournament. I do consider her my responsibility, and I've felt like I've failed her."

Daichi listened, and when the mouse was finished he sighed. "That's the same way I feel about the Tournament. It means everything to me at this point, and not because I desire to be Champion. I simply want to bring honor to my house, and justice back to the lands."

Hitomi smiled. She could sense the change in the fox's aura as he spoke to her, and she knew he was truly devoted and committed to his words. He was, as she had heard it once said, honest to a fault.

"Then I suppose we understand each other," she said. "Thank you for hearing me out. Oh, and you know, if you defeat Dusk tonight that means that I'll have to face you tomorrow night."

Daichi smiled and nodded. "It does. So, I'll see you tomorrow night, I suppose."

The mouse just grinned. "I guess I'll find out soon enough. Good luck tonight, Daichi," she said, blowing him a kiss before she slipped out and left the fox to his meditation again.

Stardust grinned widely as she watched Suki's breasts bounce. Dusk had handed the mare a thick toy phallus that strapped over her hips, and one she'd put it on she joined the panther in taking the bunny. He currently had his cock deep in Suki's ass, while she was pounding the rabbit's pussy with her toy. It was a delightful experience, and new for the mare; the first time Dusk had leaned over the rabbit's shoulder to kiss her, and Suki had turned her head to turn the kiss into a three-way lip lock, Stardust had nearly moaned. It was that hot for her.

The bunny seemed insatiable that day. Dusk fucked her under her tail hard and long, until beads of sweat were actually gathering on his fur. Stardust gave Suki's sex the same treatment, while her paws massaged the rabbit's stuffed buns firmly. When the rabbit came, she came with a loud cry of pleasure, her body writhing in need between the male and female forms that sandwiched her.

Once they had brought the bunny off, Dusk and Stardust both pulled out of her. Much to Stardust's surprise, Dusk came around and stood in front of Suki, turning his back to the mare. The panther grinned and lifted his tail, and Stardust blushed as she realized what he wanted from her. It was a hot thought though, and she wrapped her arms around his body as she pushed the tip of her toy phallus up under his tail, drawing a long, low moan from him as she stuffed his ass.

Suki groaned and watched as the mare fucked the male right before her eyes. Dusk leaned back into Stardust's arms, groaning lewdly as she pounded his ass. His hard, dripping cock bobbed madly until the mare took it upon herself to wrap her fingers around his bouncing length, stroking him hard. It didn't take long to bring the male to a howling orgasm, and both girls watched his cock spurt wildly, spattering his cum across Suki's belly.

The threesome didn't stop their indulgence there. Once Dusk had caught his breath, he released Suki from her bonds. Stardust was in the middle of removing the phallus from her hips when they grabbed her, strapping the giggling mare to an X-rack. They then knelt at her feet, both rabbit and panther competing with each other in a contest to see who could lick the mare to orgasm.

As the dual tongue played across her pussy and over her clit, Stardust barely registered her surroundings. Later, she would realize why the flickering lantern on the opposite wall caught her attention, but for now the only thing that consumed her was her lust, and the male and female worshiping her sex below.

It was several hours later when Dusk walked into the chosen arena for his scheduled fight, dubbed The Lair. After his session with Stardust and Suki, the panther had gone back to his quarters and rested, finding himself quite relaxed and quite ready to throw fists with someone. He was so ready, in fact, that he'd come down to the arena early.

Daichi was already there, looking around the place. Dusk could understand the fox's interest in the arena; it was easily the oddest of any of the Hall's many arenas that he had seen.

Like the majority of the arena's, the room was circular with a high ceiling. The Seal of Combat was on the floor, and the boundaries of the arena were clearly marked. It was obvious that this was yet another arena with out-of-bounds penalties, but what those penalties were was a mystery to both competitors.

All around the arena, butted right up to the boundary line, were small alcoves. They were spaced one right after another, and each half-circle cut out was about six feet wide by seven feet tall. The alcoves themselves seemed innocent enough, save for a strange mesh of threads that were spread across each one about half-way in, thin and glittering, like a giant spider web.

Dusk nodded to Daichi, and then frowned. "What the hell are those all about?"

Daichi shook his head, stepping back away from the alcove he had been examining. "I haven't a clue. I suggest we both be careful, otherwise we'll find out."

Dusk chuckled, and then bowed to the fox. "So I take that as meaning that you're ready?"

Daichi returned the bow and smiled. "I am."

Both competitors assumed their preferred starting stance, sticking to the disciplines they were comfortable with. There was a moment of silence, and then the sound of the doors behind slowly closed could be heard.

"Daichi versus Dusk," said a voice suddenly, echoing around the arena. "Fight."

Dusk was taken by surprise as the fox attacked immediately. He had judged Daichi to be more of a passive fighter, waiting for an attack and waiting for his openings. The aggression from the fox caught him off guard, and the panther took two stiff kicks to his side before he covered up and got himself together. He felt his adrenaline pump, and he was ready for the fight.

The fox and the panther showed no quarter. They each threw everything that they had at the other, each knowing that the other would not fall easily. As the barrage of blocks and strikes grew more ferocious, it was soon Daichi who found himself being surprised.

Dusk was more than ready to try his luck at starting Daichi towards his peak. At one point the fox had a basic, but effective, head lock applied to the panther. Dusk grunted, bent over as the fox held his head to his waist, his arm locked tight around the panther's neck. Dusk knew that the lock might throw off a younger competitor, but the panther had more than enough experience to quickly figure a way out.

Only, he didn't take it. He weathered the fox's squeezing arm and occasional body shot, waiting for the right moment. When Daichi loosened up a bit, gathering his strength back up to apply more pressure on the panther, Dusk brought a hard fist into the fox's side. It stunned Daichi, and Dusk was able to break the hold, but at the same time it gave him ample opportunity to grab the fox's pants and pull. There was a loud tearing sound, and Daichi found himself with two pant legs that were no longer connected around the waist.

Dusk chuckled as the legs of Daichi's pants fluttered down to the ground. The fox smirked and removed his pants entirely, getting them off quickly before he locked back up with the panther. Daichi seemed more hesitant now to get into any holds with Dusk, instead trying to keep a healthy distance while he threw kicks. Dusk took this as a sign that he'd managed to plant a seed of concern in the fox's mind, and the panther intended to exploit that.

The next series of strikes and kicks went quickly. Daichi threw them while Dusk carefully deflected each one away, slowly working in towards the fox. Daichi knew what he was up to, but he let the panther in, wanting to make it clear that he wasn't afraid of the panther's experience, or of his ground skills.

Sure enough, Dusk shot low and hooked his paws behind Daichi's knees, pulling the fox's legs out to score a perfect takedown on his opponent. He tried to scramble into a full mount position on the fox, but Daichi countered by bringing his legs up over the panther's hips, holding him in a full guard. Dusk grinned; he expected nothing less from the fox. He had a true fighter on his paws this time.

Dusk tried to rain down fists on the fox, but Daichi was still able to protect himself. Dusk leaned down over the prostate fox, using one arm to drop a ruthless shower of hard elbows into the fox's face. Daichi blocked the elbows, but it was clearly starting to exhaust him, and his own arms were no doubt starting to swell and bruise with the hard shots he was blocking.

Dusk's true attack, however, was taking place with his other paw. He was fondling the fox's sheath and balls firmly, giving them hard squeezes and soft strokes. Daichi wore a neutral expression, most of his focus on the elbows he was deflecting, but the slow hardening of the fox's cock was all the indication that Dusk needed that his strategy was working.

Daichi did indeed feel the arena's energies fuelling his lust, and the feel of a paw on his crotch, massaging, was certainly distracting him and wearing him down. He needed out from under the panther and he needed out fast. He saw a chance and he took it, risky as it was.

The fox let one elbow come through his defense. It caught him hard in the cheek and he tasted blood in his mouth, but he focused through the pain and he locked his arms around Dusk's arm, and then he pulled. The panther growled in surprise as he felt his muscles tense, and he stopped his actions for a moment to turn his attention to getting his arm free.

In that moment, Daichi threw the hardest fist he could at the panther's jaw. Dusk saw it coming, but too late, and the shot knocked him cleanly off of the fox, falling to his side. The fox was up and coming after the panther in seconds, sending Dusk into a scramble to get back to his hindpaws and back on the defensive.

The match turned suddenly in Daichi's favor. The fox caught Dusk square on the chin with a straight kick that knocked the panther off his feet, literally; in the moment that he hung in the air Daichi yelled out and shot his hands forward, striking Dusk in the belly with two open palm strikes. The force of the blow sent the panther sailing backwards, straight out of bounds and right into one of the odd webs in the nearest alcove.

Dusk reeled from the force of the assault. It took him several moments to realize that not only had he been eliminated, but he was now stuck to the strange webbing in the alcove he'd been knocked into. His limbs stuck to the strands firmly, and whatever it was that held him there seemed to seep through his fur and cling to his skin, binding him securely.

Mere seconds after he hit the web, sending it into a bouncing rage, the sound of clicking started to fill the room. As the panther struggled, hundreds of fat beetles started to pour out of small crevices in the alcove, crawling down over the strands of the web and over the panther's body. He cried out, trying to shake the bugs free, but they clung to him easily and moved around him freely.

Some of the beetles swarmed over his pants, and to his surprise they began to actually eat the clothing, chewing it up with amazing speed. In about a minute, they had him naked. They then began to swarm over his bare body, and the tiny insects actually began to spin web around him just like a spider would. Both the panther and the fox watched in stunned silence as the bugs cocooned Dusk, and soon all that remained visible of the feline was his balls, sheath, and nose.

With that task accomplished, the bugs retreated. Dusk could be her complaining under the webbing, and his form squirmed, but he was entirely mummified. It was then that Daichi noticed that the panther was becoming aroused, and quite quickly at that; his cock swelled up thick and hard, bobbing with his heartbeat. The fox could tell that he was panting and squirming under the webbing and then, with no outside stimulation, the panther began to cum hard. His jizz spurted out over his body as his cock twitched wildly, and the cum splattered across his cocooned form.

Daichi watched as his cum seemed to eat through the webbing a little. The fox grinned, suddenly realizing what had happened. He was willing to bet that at some point one of the bugs had bit the poor male, and pumped him up with some sort of chemical. That would explain his sudden erection and orgasm, and if the fox was right then the point of the trap was that the panther would keep cumming periodically until his cum ate through enough of the webbing to let him escape. It was a rather clever, if somewhat evil, concept.

"Arena elimination," said a voice, interrupting the show. "Daichi wins."

The naked fox breathed in relief. One more down, two more to go before Kaine. He turned away from the captured panther, leaving the arena in just his bare fur as he headed for bed.

* * *

Kaine crossed Dusk's name off of the scroll in the Courtyard, and wrote Daichi's name in the next bracket. As the ink dried on the cloth, the stallion looked over the course of the Tournament. They had come far, but there was still a little farther to go. The anticipation was delicious for him.

Selena and Ruin stood on either side of him. Ruin was silent as usual, but Selena smiled as she watched the stallion's expression.

"You're strategizing, aren't you," she said. "What do you think?"

Kaine smiled a bit. "I have my expectations. Either way, I'm ready for whichever of this final three make it to the Championship round. I think I'll drag it out, though. I'll make their defeat count."

Selena stroked her claws over Kaine's chest, but Ruin seemed concerned. "Another victory for Nobu Ra' Chi, then?"

The stallion shook his head. "No, a victory for me, and for the House of Shadow."

Kaine nodded to them both. "Keep to the shadows now. Things will start to move quickly, and we need to be prepared. In three days time, a new era will begin for the House of Shadow and for all the lands."
