Markus is a man who has gotten haughty after a mostly successful career. However a chance meeting with a certain lady in a terrible circumstance helps him realize how much he has changed from the kind man of his past.

“It is nearing the end of our first five days since the start of our expedition in search of the mystical Alolan Ninetales. We are here on Mount Lanakila where the weather is getting absolutely frosty… but we now have a clue on the location of our esteemed target. This set of foot prints before us should be the key to our success. Now let us get going!"

“Cut!" I groaned at the words as the director of our current shoot, a slightly heavyset man named Josh, told the cameramen to stop filming. “Markus I need to hear a little more enthusiasm in your voice. You need to be just as excited for this discovery as the people of Kanto."

“John I am freezing!" I shouted back at our director as someone ran forward to hand me a cup of hot chocolate. I almost spilled the liquid on them so fast was my action of grabbing it out of their hands, all in hopes of adding just a little more warmth to my body. The threat of hypothermia set back just a bit more I finally turned back to Josh who was saying something that I didn't quite hear.

“Were you even listening just now?" He shot back at me exasperatedly as I quietly shook there. “Honestly you knew what you were getting yourself into when you accepted this job."

“You told me three days of shooting at most! This is our fourth day here!"

“I said three days if we were lucky and we clearly haven't been. We have barely gotten a glimpse of a Pokémon up here, let alone what we came to make our documentary about. Honestly if our group didn't happen to have a Kanto Ninetales we wouldn't even have these tracks."

“And so I'm supposed to be excited after all that because..?"

“Because it's your job! Honestly can you at least try to care man?"

“All I care about is that I'm freezing up here."

“Markus all of us are freezing." Josh stated tersely as I rubbed at my forehead.

“All the reason for us to quit for the day."

“The weather could change in an hour Markus we have to shoot now." His words fell on deaf ears as I simply trudged my way through the snow leaving him just as agitated as I was. No one else in our film crew tried to stop me, some of them wanting to stop now anyways while others not wanting to deal with me for now. Not that I cared either way.

Mt. Lanakila was as far away from the vacation I had hoped for as I was physically allowed to get. While the rest of the Alola region was warm, sunny, and welcoming this mountain was almost ludicrous with its thick blankets of snow and billowing winds. And yet here I was just to shoot this stupid documentary so people could see a white Ninetales on camera.

The Alolan species of Ninetales was currently exceedingly popular in Kanto after a trainer had just barely claimed the championship at this year's Indigo league with the Pokémon on his team. Now everyone wanted to know about their habitat, what they ate, and how they acted up close. Of course not everyone could afford a trip to a different region, let alone one just to see an exotic species of an already familiar Pokémon. That was where John and I came in, the two of us now assigned to this aggravating chore of a request.

Now it was the fourth day. Four days up on this freezing mountain while I faked a smile for the sake of another paycheck. I could practically feel the frostbite forming inside of me with every bitter thought the ice etched through my mind. I wanted to be home… or at least in front of a warm fire. What could have been an easily staged video, plenty of the locals had this supposedly impossible find of a Pokémon after all, was now an honest passion project to find and understand a real wild Ninetales… well mostly honest.

Many times had it been in my mind to just quit but the company that was sponsoring us was currently under a bit of pressure themselves. The CEO position was about to be passed along to the owner's son and they wanted his first sponsoring attempt to go well. The money they had put into sponsoring us would be next to impossible for us to give back after we had spent some of it on simply partying before the actual event. Now we were currently getting hit by setbacks from our own tragic luck, our Director's passion, and their own demands. They wanted their trainer's equipment in as many shots as possible of course and wanted good honest feedback on how it all worked. Everything from cameras, tents, to portable Pokéball stored refrigerators were being donated to us for a field test and it was honestly all becoming a chore.

As I trudged through the snow back to my tent I remembered the early days between John and I. Back when it was only a shaky camera and the two of us recording whatever we could find in the forest around where we lived. What had started as a thing between friends had become a business. Shots taken for fun in the past were now scripted well in advance to fit the criteria set by our sponsors and executives.

Another annoyance made itself known as I sat on the blanket in my tent. Every lady in the current film crew was either stuck up or taken and that meant no one to spend some more intimate time with. The greatest joy afforded to us from our success was that I normally didn't have to go too long without a female companion. However that was not an option up here on the mountain and to make it worse I couldn't even masturbate. My hands would take more time to warm up than the thirty minutes allotted me before shooting started again.

So in essence I was cold, surrounded by people I didn't care for, under job pressure, and horny. Another great day in the life of Markus, famous explorer.

Still I did my best to rest up and push any agitation out of my head. I did want this project to work out. John was my best friend and we were always supposed to have each other's back. It was with that thought in mind that I got back up and went to brave the cold outdoors again. John wasn't hard to find as he worked to set up the next shot. He always worked so hard and this time was no different, the freezing temperatures only a small deterrent.

“Hey John, listen…"

“I don't have time to talk, the weather is going to change soon and I need to memorize this set up now." His tone was even but cold as he worked as fast as he could. A glance up at the sky showed that it was slowly darkening, both from the elapsing of time and the incoming storm. I watched Josh work for a while, knowing why he was still working with these cameras even though the time to film was now gone. The point of the set up was just to figure out which angles looked best so that it would be easier for us to resume once we were ready to record again.

In the beginning both of us did camera work as we alternated the roles of cameraman and actor. Back when it was just the two of us we didn't care which one of us had the more photogenic blonde hair and blue eyed look. Back when we were truly best friends I believe. Before I could reminisce some more I was removed from my thoughts as he spoke again.

“Look Markus… what is it that you want?" My mood immediately soured at both his statement and tone. It was clear he didn't want me around right now but all he managed to do was remind me of how agitated I was with him.

“You don't have to be so rude."

“And you don't have to act like so much of a diva." He shot back leaving me to glare at him for a moment. “It's because of your little tantrum that we are behind yet another day of shooting."

“It's not that big of a deal." I muttered back just for him to turn to look at me.

“Markus you know we can't use this film at all. The conditions for this lighting aren't just going to realign themselves because we ask the weather nicely. Maybe if you actually helped with the camera work still you'd remember simple things like that."

“I don't have to do any of that. All I'm supposed to do is…"

“I know what you're supposed to do Markus." Josh spat back at me. “Smile for the camera and get loved on by our audience. Maybe take a girl or two home with you for the night before blowing a load of money on vodka. That's what you are supposed to do right?" I could feel he was angry but that didn't stop my next remark, or the regret I felt after saying it.

“You're just mad you aren't as popular with the ladies." The look he gave me was both furious and heart broken. While I didn't outright state it we both knew what my statement really meant. While I was naturally gifted with good looks and lost weight easily, Josh wasn't as genetically gifted. His matted brown hair and equally brown eyes just didn't make him stand out as much as I did, the fact that I was fairly muscular while he was slightly thick did not help.

The reason I no longer handled the camera in our joint efforts was the same reason why he was lucky to get attention with other's around me, I simply looked better. He knew it. I knew it. The world knew it. It was why I had his dream job of interacting with Pokémon on camera while he was forced to simply watch.

For a moment the only sound between the two of us was the blowing of the mountain winds. A lot of things ran through my head to say to him but I only watched as he turned around to march back to his tent through the snow. All the cameras stood around us forgotten as the snow crunched beneath his boots.

“Josh wait man." I finally got out after he was mostly out of sight. He didn't stop, his only reply to my words was a quickly lifted middle finger. I let him go with that knowing that trying to calm him down now would be an exercise in futility. I stood there for a moment longer as I counted in my mind how many times we had come to this point before. A lot more than I'd like to admit was my only answer.

Silently I got to work, the sound around me muffled by the increasing of the winds intensity. The lighting was going to change soon as I cut on one of the cameras and sloppily positioned it. It had been a while since I set one up myself but years of practice eventually made themselves known once more as I began to record the changing scenery. While I let that work sit I packed away the rest of the cameras so that they could be taken back to our camp. Once the rest of our donation was safely put away I walked back in front of the camera.

“It is the end of our fifth day up here on Mount Lanakila and the weather is getting absolutely frosty." I stated to the camera as enthusiastically as I could muster. “Still this may be our chance to finally spot the elusive Ninetales of the Alola Region. Rumors have it that when a blizzard comes these Pokémon race across the mountain and it's on that chance that we are out here getting this footage for you. Let's get going!" My lines weren't exactly as they were scripted but it was all I could do to get the lines out. With no one to remind me of what I had to say I was left to simply stumble through my act internally, only the experience of many other shoots keeping me from bumbling and stuttering over my words.

Turning quickly to look over the area I was almost floored by what I saw. What looked like a miniature snowstorm was kicking up around a dainty white Pokémon, its many tails flowing behind it as it ran through the area. A cold breeze ran through the area, chilling me for a moment to the core before it was gone along with the Pokémon. All this time up here on this mountain and only now did one make itself known?

I watched the area for a moment before looking to the camera. “Did you see that!?" This time I did not have to fake my enthusiasm as much, even the slight chattering in my teeth fading away. “I believe that was our target right there. No time to set up the film crew. Let's quickly go after it." With that I grabbed the camera and began to run after where the fox had headed before. Steading the camera as much as I could I wondered how far I should go? There was no chance in this frozen hell I could catch up to it but all I needed was a slight glimpse of it. Even something so slight would be useful for our documentary.

As I ran I was elated to find that the Pokémon was no longer running but walking slowly down a slightly forested area. The pine trees jutted up through the snow sparse yet proudly as if declaring their defiance to the ice and cold around them. It was behind one of these trees that I hide for a moment as I trained my lens on the ice type, watching it's every movement carefully.

“Amazing…" I said just loud enough for the camera to catch. It truly was a stunning Pokémon now that I could see it in person. From the soft twitching of its ears to the speed at which it could sprint off…

“Wait." I blurted out as the Pokémon began to run off leaving me to try and follow it. What had been meant as just a quick one minute excursion was soon turning into a full blown chase as the Pokémon seemed to make it its mission to stay just out of my view. Every tree it could use to block my view was hidden behind. Every rock was another shield to obscure my vision. Every snow dune was an obstacle to delay the sight I so desperately wanted now. Keeping the camera steady was getting harder as the cold crept into me held back only by my excitement.

My joy was deflated however as the small snowstorm suddenly ceased as the Pokémon turned a rocky corner, more of the mountain rock marking its pot as the trees faded were left behind. It was probably tired of this game I realized as I walked on dejectedly. My small hope to find just the smallest glimpse of a Ninetales was dashed upon the ground. The only reason I continued was so that I could get a view of the location it had ran off to. Hopefully we could use this footage and information at least in our hunt tomorrow. So absorbed was I in my dejection that I could only let out a surprised cry as the large white fox jumped at me the moment I turned the corner.

“Dear Arceus!" I shouted in order to avoid cursing while the camera was rolling. My brief fall was quite painful, my butt not enjoying the sudden abuse while the Ninetales snickered mischievously at my expense. It was by a miracle that I could keep the camera trained on it as I tried to steady my breath. My teeth chattered even more insistently now as the cold continued its slow invasion into my system. All of that however was lost as I stared at the creature before me, its nine tails flicking in unison. The blue that tipped them almost seemed to hypnotically draw my attention as I was enthralled by the Pokémon… just for that spell to break and it's giggling to resume.

“You little…" It took a moment for me to realize that my captivation had been an attack. One that didn't harm me thankfully, but one just the same. I was slightly indignant as this Pokémon had its fun at my expense. It got ready to run as I tried to scramble to my feet, all of this obviously a set up for it to continue this game of its, before I felt my foot slip. My world slowly tilted as I began falling back, snow moving after having been unsettled by my small fall.

“Nine!" The Pokémon cried out as it tried to bite into my jacket to keep me from falling back. The materiel held strong under the force of her jaws for a moment before we were both tumbling through the snow as we fell together. My vision quickly became blurry as snow kicked up around the both of us, the icy touch of the frozen liquid stealing warmth from me as my sliding eventually stopped. Thankfully I didn't hit a rock or a tree, either of those two scenarios would have probably spelt the end of the Legendary Adventurer Markus.

“Nine?" I heard the Ninetales ask as it looked down at me my vision of the gray skies suddenly blocked. At least it was nice enough to make sure I didn't accidentally die.

“I'm fine." I stated to it and the Pokémon smiled happily. I remembered briefly that Ninetales were one of the species said to be able to understand humans without any prior training. Its gladness that it didn't accidentally break me was again replaced by worry as I continued to lay there. I groaned as I tried to move through the soreness and the cold creeping its way through me and I was suddenly aware that I probably had over exerted myself. The roll through the snow had probably been the final blow to 'faint' me as it was.

“Can I… get some help?" I asked the Pokémon sheepishly. The fox Pokémon looked at me for a moment before leaving my vision. My heart dropped a bit worried it was going to leave me before I felt myself getting pulled by the hood of my jacket. “Thanks." I said breathlessly as I struggled to not fall asleep from exhaustion. The trip to wherever it was taking me felt like an eternity as I struggled to not doze off, the small rocky bumps being the only help I got as painful reminders to stay awake.

Soon I was deposited in a small mountain cave as far away from the entrance as it could take me. I let out a sigh of relief as the sensation of being dragged across snow faded away. I offered another quiet thanks to the Pokémon who simply ran off once it was done rescuing me. I laid there for a few moments before I tried to force myself to sit up. Despite being away from the immediate cold, my surroundings were still a great place to allow frostbite to finish my dreams of escaping this mountain.

“These people definitely are getting my recommendation." I voiced to myself as I slowly reached into one of my many pockets. The miniature heater I pulled out was roughly the size of a Pokéball before I enlarged it, much like you would do a Pokéball actually, and set it on. A few minutes later and the cold air was replaced with some warmth and I sighed in quiet appreciation. It would only stay on for a good two hours before it ran out of energy, the small heater made more to grant temporary relief while you took the time to set up a proper fire. Hopefully however I could take a brief nap and be ready to set out before that two hours was up. It was with those last thoughts that I fell asleep.

***

Roughly an hour later I groggily woke up, my entire body screaming in protest as I forced myself to sit up. A few pops of my back and neck later I took a moment to survey my surroundings. Surveying the now mostly dark cave I set up a small lantern to better light my surroundings, the electronic lightning humming to life and casting a soft warm light throughout the cave. Now that I could see I saw at the side of the room as far from me as possible was the Ninetales, its white coat currently glistening in what looked like crystal. Risking a closer glance I dropped to all four of my limbs and began crawling to it slowly. The Pokémon's ears twitched for a moment but it did not move as I made my slow approach.

“Is that… ice?" I asked myself as I looked over the expanse of shimmering fur. What seemed like little ice crystals now lined it from head to tails as it rested. Even its breath was slowly freezing the ground in front of its mouth with every exhale. I watched the snow fox for a moment longer before remembering my camera and heater.

While the heater was exactly where I had left it the camera was in a slightly worse state. Slight teeth marks nicked into the smooth black surface of the object, obviously from when the Ninetales had hastily picked it up to bring it back to me. Still I was glad to have it again as I set it up to record the Pokémon as it slept. One steadying of its portable tripod later and the next batch of footage for this lovely find was being made. In the mean time I went over to my portable heater and reluctantly turned it off. I only had about forty more minutes left on its charge before it ran out of energy, then I'd be out here in the cold with no warmth. So best to save this resource while I could because my next problem brought a grimness to my scenario.

The weather had been set to get bad before I came chasing this elusive pile of fluff and now the snow was raging outside. Outside of this cave there was only white, black, and gray: dark gray skies spewing forth a blizzard to blot out my world, white snow to cover the rest, and the black being the distant objects not covered in snow during the night. I was utterly boned I realized. Even if I used the heater and tried to wander out there, I'd be buried in the snow at worse and get lost and freeze to death at the other worse. But staying was not an option as there was no way to keep warm with my heater having so little strength left.

The bleakness of the situation was already weighing down on me as I looked at the raging snow storm. The only hope I had was to wait it out. Any brief bit of light in this situation was quickly snuffed out. One check of my phone revealed that I had no signal because of course I didn't in the depths of this mountain. My food supplies were mostly emergency rations packed into my coat by the mandatory request of Josh. Granted I was glad for the little I had now, even if I severely doubted I'd make it with some jerky, nuts, and dried berries. My only hope was that this blizzard would ease over soon.

“So this is why people carry Pokémon wherever they go?" I mused somewhat bitterly to myself. My job as an explorer in the wild researching Pokémon had left me used to staying away from them for the most part. Pokémon, just like people, didn't seem to like to be stalked even if it was some brief moments of film and so any Pokémon I found interesting enough to catch… was also too tempting to not record. Of course literally any fire type could reverse this scenario for me and I soon found myself thinking about the member of our crew who had a Ninetales as I sat back against one of the walls of the cave.

Said Pokémon was a lovely bundle of golden silk that had waved her tails over him literally anytime he was getting cold. Just the heat from the fox Pokémon was enough to melt the snow that tried to accumulate on him and ease the chill out of him. A giant Pokémon to hold wrap my arms around to keep warm would be nice as it sat in my lap. Nine soft tales to gently blanket me in warmth as it wrapped me up as best as it could. Its heat seeping into my veins so well that not even the harshest winter could haze me as it nuzzled up against me. Its tongue gliding down my face to my neck as I…

I suddenly jolted forward from the daydream I was forming for myself, the giggling Ninetales dodging out of the way of my swatting hand as it ran from me with a flourish of its elegant tails. I didn't even realize I had begun to doze off again until now or that it had woken up. I glared at the Pokémon who simply pranced back to her resting position before pretending to fall asleep. I simply watched it for a moment wanting to growl in frustration. Its tongue was a strange mix of cold and hot. It obviously had its own fairly high internal heat to survive these types of conditions I rationalized despite its cold breathe. Still it felt like it had over all stolen heat from me when it woke me up from my daydreaming.

I stood up for a moment before getting my camera and positioning it better so it could catch more of the small cave. I might as well get as much footage as I could in case I made it out of here alive. Tripod set in the far corner of the cave I sat down against the wall again. Fancying a glance over to the 'sleeping' ice fox I decided to get it back as I pretended to be sleep as well. It wasn't long before it got up and began to walk over towards me. If I wasn't paying attention only to its movements I never would have heard it coming. If we were out in its element, I doubt any amount of concentration would have helped me. However we were not in its element, we were in a cave and I was a human looking for payback.

The moment the Pokémon leaned in to startle me back awake I leap at it and tried to wrap my arms around its neck. The surprised yip it released was like music to my ears as I got my pay back, just for me to cling harder as it bucked to escape my grasp. Upon the first surge not being enough it kept up its attempt to escape, its tails buffeting me softly. It soon became like a rodeo of sorts with me trying as hard as possible to hold on to the Pokémon as it shook its head back and forth to dislodge me.

Every second was both terrifying and exhilarating as I tried to hold the Pokémon down. Every moment I felt like it would fling me across the room if it was not for my hold. My arms burned and despite the cold feeling of its fur against my face, sweat began to form on me from the effort to hold the Pokémon still. I was now reminded of how powerful they could be. One particular jump from it almost sent us both airborne as the fox struggled around the room, the Pokémon putting just enough force into its efforts to dislodge me but not enough to cause harm.

With one final buck and toss of its head I was sent sprawling across the room, the durable coat I was wearing the only reason I did not scrap across the ground. I barely had time to sit up before the Ninetales was on me to pin me down. Its four legs to either side of my body it pressed its chest down on me as if locking down a stray Rattata. All of my struggling did nothing to dislodge its pin as it settled down as it literally sat down in my lap. My victory was easily stolen from me as a lash of its tongue tickled my nose, the fox looking down on me with the sort of grin that even I knew was a triumphant boast. Even my futile attempts to kick my legs up were hushed as its tails lazily draped down to lock them in place.

Now completely stuck I was forced to look the blue eyed Pokémon in the face as it stared down at me. The air was regaining its biting edge and the Ninetale's position over me wasn't doing me favors, its breathe sending a shiver across my exposed face. Thankfully my coat was helping to keep the heat close to me, or at least the parts of me that were covered, and while I wasn't sweltering I was definitely more than a little toasty. None of this helped me to escape my captor who I submitted to eventually, an action that only caused it to grin even more. With the game soundly won by the fairy it sat its haunches down in my lap as it looked over me, an action I returned in kind.

The ice crystals were now mostly gone as they now melted slightly on the floor especially those that had been on the tuff of fur around its neck. Its white fur I realized now had a slightly blue tint to it that seemed to gradually shift in intensity as if a natural color gradient. At the base of its tails its fur was most definitely blue but it slowly faded to pure white at the tips. Even the fur around the base of its legs was pure white I realized as the Pokémon looked me over as well. Our blue eyes eventually met together as we studied each other's expressions. Its blue eyes almost seemed to glow in the soft light before its face once again became mischievous. I was immediately on guard and tried to cover my face with my arms to avoid another lick. What it did instead surprised me much more as I felt its hips grind into my crotch. My eyes shot open as it giggled once more and leapt off of me with more grace than I could ever gain in two lifetimes.

I almost scrambled back to my spot while it gave me a coy look and laid itself down again. I was now left to wonder why it was teasing me so… and to also wonder why I was harder than steel right now. Days of being pent up now had me on edge and I rationalized now that it had probably noticed that as it sat itself down on my lap. I was embarrassed that it was a Pokémon that had my full attention now though as I studied its face from here. The long eyelashes and the lack of anything hard on our earlier brief contact had be convinced now that it was female. A sleek, shimmering, teasing vixen… just the perfect partner to be stuck in a cave with.

My mind briefly wandered back to the crew member with the Ninetales. I knew he used his Pokémon as a heating blanket and that they were mostly inseparable but now I was wondering if they did more. I had always heard about Poképhilia but always had assumed it was something extremely rare amongst trainers. Or maybe it was now that I realized that I was the weird one because of this circumstance. Yeah it was obviously because of where I had found myself and all the actions leading up to it I rationalized.

All of these rationalizations however were pointing to the fact that I kind of wanted to plow into that fox laying down at the other end of this cave.

As I looked over at the light source I remembered the camera I had placed by the rocks in the corner and decided to go take a look at the footage. As I reviewed the last few moments of what was recorded I almost had to smile. Was this what I was missing out by not having my own Pokémon I wondered as I watched myself fight with my current costar?

Of course the part I wanted to watch was the single grind of its hips down upon my crotch. I replayed that moment multiple times as I took in the action again from the side angle I was thankfully in, in accordance to the position of the camera anyways. This would definitely have to be edited out I told myself with a quiet chuckle. My breath was slowly starting to fog the screen I realized and I soon placed the camera back into its position before I sat back down against the cave wall. I was tired again I realized and soon I fell asleep again.

***

Another two hours passed before I woke up again even more groggily than before. My body was becoming stiff I realized as I was slowly losing my heat. I took the time to flex my fingers and toes and was happy to see that they were still functioning. Away from the direct ice I now figured I wasn't in immediate danger of frostbite. Still my heat was running out and I was still pretty tired. Outside the blizzard was still howling, snow fluttering through the air in an almost beautiful dance. Said dance likely spelled my death but even still I found it beautiful in a strange way, there were worse ways to die I figured even if I sorely wanted to make it out of here.

Chancing a small journey outside to relieve myself I stumbled back into the cave even colder than before. This jacket was the only thing keeping me warm at this point but even it was not capable of fighting off a blizzard alone. I briefly thought about taking the heater out again for a moment before deciding to hold off just a little longer. Looking through my supplies for a moment I found a small container for water. I obviously did not fill it earlier but now… well best to make the best use of my heater.

Soon it was packed with the cleanest snow I could find before I placed it down by the heater I procured from my pockets. Soon it was on again. If I used it for short bursts of ten minutes I should be able to fight off the cold grasp of death I figured.

A few moments later I had nuts, dried fruit, and jerky all out around the heater to warm up. I worked as quickly as I could not wanting to waste a single moment of the heater's battery life. As soon as the water was melted and then warmed enough to not chill me from the inside it was drained from tis container. Another batch of snow was stuffed into it as I sat back down by the heater as close as I could. Only a few more minutes until ten more minutes of heat had been used, and I was quietly despairing. I was barely any warmer I felt but I couldn't afford to waste all of its power unless I wanted to just throw my life away.

“Nine?" I was startled from my reverie as the sound of the vixen drew my attention forward. It was quietly eyeing some of the food I had and I realized now that it was asking for some. I realized now that in this blizzard even she probably had problems finding food and she was likely hungry from all the time she spent with me. I was thus given a dilemma.

On one hand I could keep all my food for myself. Its heat taken from my current life source would extend my life expectancy by just a little more. Additionally there was no guarantee the snowstorm would fade in the next day. Plus the food would make me feel better and would be a great sendoff it I died. My own selfishness almost appalled me I realized as I looked at the snow fox who had helped me when I was weak in the snow… the same snow fox that had got me in this situation to begin with. The one whose teasing nature had egged me on and now had me wound up and stranded in a cave. The same Pokémon whose beauty had inspired this trip that was currently threatening my life.

All of my current problems could be placed on her shoulders if I so felt it. I could still be in Kanto in my apartment. I could be happy and warm with no current worries. My anger at the situation threatened to boil over as the realization that my life was in true danger burned within me. Its brief help wasn't a kindness at all but what I was owed.

And not a single one of those emotions meant anything the moment she looked down dejectedly. Maybe it was the wait before my answer or maybe it was the fact she could feel my anger at her. Perhaps she saw in it my gaze but I immediately regretted the decision. Its teasing nature might have been what got me out here… but it was my choices that eventually lead to me being stranded. And even if it was all her fault… she could likely starve in this blizzard if it went on too long too unless she went out to hunt in that snow. A blizzard that was raging and threatening to even close off the entrance of this cave.

She hadn't left I realized. Here she was trying to make sure it was me that survived. And yet my mind still warred… a war between my survival and what I would do for this Pokémon that was doing so much for me. Part of me just could not let go of the feeling that this was her fault. Part of me struggled to find any positives in this situation if I gave what little I had. If I didn't make it out of here I wouldn't get to make it all up with Josh. If I didn't make it out of here I wouldn't ever get to tell him how sorry I was. I'd never get to actually be a good friend to him again.

And yet my legs stood with a quiet groan as I grabbed some of the food and walked over to the Ninetales. She didn't look up when I came over and even scooted herself further against the wall. My silent refusal had hurt her I realized.

“I'm sorry… I… I don't know what to say." I said to the vixen. “You've done so much to help me and I'm this I… please forgive me." She didn't move or budge and I quietly sighed to myself. I had shot this relationship. My only companion in this blizzard and I was functionally alone. I wanted to scream. I was just a human. Leaving the food there I grabbed the rest of my food and wolfed it down. Its warmth transferred to me as I turned off the heater for now. I looked back at the Ninetales who still had not moved before heading out into the blizzard, a stupid action but one I did when angry. Josh and I were still the same in that regard, though where he left to avoid a fight I left to avoid dealing with any troubling circumstance.

As I walked out into the howling night I wondered if I would have shared with Josh or would have chosen selfishness. In the end I knew I would probably have just eaten the food when he was sleeping. I wouldn't have been a good friend to him and that understanding made me want to scream out into the night. Looking up into the blackened sky I finally let go and shouted out my frustration about this situation, my anger about being made to make a choice I felt no one should have to make, and feeling like no matter I did I was going to pick wrong. But more than anything I screamed out my frustration at not realizing how I had been trampling on the only real friend I had ever had. I cried that it was likely too late now to fix it and that I would never get another chance to make it right.

I screamed until my throat was dry. I screamed until my legs started to go numb from the cold. I screamed until tears finally left my eyes. The blizzard swallowed it all as I poured it out all. My fear, my anger, and what felt like my last visages of life… all of it slipped into the swirling snow around me until all my strength left me. My vision was slowly getting blurry as more and more cold seeped into me. My legs trembled before I feel to my knees.

“I'm sorry Josh." I uttered as I sat there on my knees in the snow. I let its creeping cold into me, both physically and mentally. The air was silent now that I had thrown out all my frustrations, snowflakes tumbling down elegantly around me as if celebrating my end. And yet death did not get its chance to claim me. I immediately knew who it was as I felt something begin to tug on my jacket. I said nothing as I was dragged back to the cave as quickly as she could muster the strength, her actions quick and efficient as I quietly remarked on the strength these creatures truly held back from us. She dragged me back with the same stubbornness that had lead me out to this blizzard.

I quietly reminisced as I was rescued. On Mount Lanakila it was believed in the past that Alolan Ninetales were gods that walked the mountains who could offer you salvation from the cold as they lead you to safety… or who could freeze you solid for aggravating them. If she was a god I now knew her to be far kinder a one than I deserved. Again she had come to rescue me, a Pokémon known to get quite agitated with us humans as we came stomping and forcing our ways through their only homes.

“I'm sorry." I quietly whispered to the Pokémon as I struggled to stay awake. Even with her help though I could feel my consciousness fading. Black began to cloud my vision as it blotted out the snow. “I'm sorry."

My rest was not yet to come however as sharp fangs dug into my arm forcing me to jolt up. I almost felt my arm dislocate as she began to run with my limb in her mouth. The pain shredded through my back and almost made me scream out, but her actions were effective in both keeping me awake and getting me back to the cave. Immediately she was nudging me in the side, my mind slowly realizing that she wanted me to pull out my heater so that I might live. Not wanting to waste her efforts I pulled out the Pokéball shaped heater and switched it on.

A few minutes passed by as the Pokémon paced around me worriedly. My fingers and toes were so numb and I feared frostbite might have just claimed me. And yet I curled up into a ball and hoped for the best. Ten minutes… and ten more passed before I could properly feel everything properly. Despite the extremely temperatures the quick saving time had pulled be back once again. I turned the heater off once more, the item only having ten more minutes in it before it died.

I was in an even worse spot I realized and even more crushing hopelessness invaded into me. My outburst didn't help me at all, in fact it had only hastened my demise. I'm sure the fox knew that too as she nudged me in hopes that I was still moving. I looked over to where I had left her food and noted she had not eaten it.

“You didn't eat." I said to the Pokémon who was quickly a flurry of activity over me. I realized now that the position from before was her version of a full bodied hug and I returned it. “I don't know why you care so much… but thank you." Soon however I had the pressing matter of my arm to tend to. My last pockets had just a bit of salve and gauze and they were used to treat and wrap my bitten arm. She looked apologetically at the wound and that look made me chuckle a bit. This was most definitely my own fault not hers.

“Nine…" She started just for me to quietly tap her on the nose.

“It's okay… thank you."

“Nine…" she complained once more.

“If you want to make me feel better you can go eat what I gave you. It will make me feel better." The vixen looked at me skeptically but went over to the food I gave her. A few bites later and she was gobbling it all down with enthusiasm. The eagerness brought a smile to my face and so I went into my pockets and pulled out the last of my food. With no heat source left but a brief ten minutes of warmth I might as well enjoy everything I had left with her.

“I have plenty more, let's eat to get back our strength okay?" I assured her. She didn't need much convincing as she hungrily ate all that I gave her. She ever drunk water from the cup when I offered it to her. Soon the food was gone and she was waving her tails happily for the time.

I was happy too as I slipped away into sleep once more, stomach filled with rations and the happy look of my protector in my mind.

I awoke yet stiffer still. I no longer had a clue on the passage of time. The hard cold ground was doing me no favors despite the fact that I was curled up in a ball, as much of myself in a fetal position inside of my jacket as I could bring. I didn't have much longer left I noted and the blizzard was still going outside. I briefly looked back at the camera that was likely still rolling, its battery life much more impressive than that of my heater. Whoever found it later would get to see all of this I realized. All of my emotions dancing on its lens. Would they pity me I wondered before I noticed the Ninetales looking at me once more?

The worried look she gave me already told me what she wanted from me and with that I quietly took out my heater before cutting it on. Heat radiated from it as the Pokéball shaped heater began to warm the air. I sat by it and she sat by me as I basked in the last minutes of warmth that would come from it.

The gentle radiating heat almost seemed to sink into me in its final moments before it began to shut down. Its light slowly dimmed as my chance at survival disappeared with it, the heat disappearing with it. The white furred creature looked at the heater confused as to why it stopped working before turning to me.

“Sorry lady… this is it for me." I said with a small smile. The look the Pokémon gave almost devastated me more than the current situation.

“Ninetales?"

I didn't really know what she was saying or wanted this time and so I simply scratched behind her ears with the hand on my non injured arm. She closed her eyes for a moment as if to enjoy it before shaking her head vehemently. Her blue eyes glared into mine for a moment before she got up and sat herself directly into my lap. Her heat wasn't quite as high as that of the Kanto Ninetales I had imagined earlier. Still it was a pleasant warmth as she wrapped me in her tails in an attempt to starve off the cold she knew I could not handle.

I sat there in slight embarrassment for a moment and that same embarrassment was evident on the normally teasing fox. It was said that in their last moments a man normally became hard in a last ditch attempt to procreate and well… I was no longer steel but diamonds. Not that I was going to push forward after my showings earlier and so instead I talked.

“I'm really happy I got to meet you." I whispered to the vixen. She looked at me quizzically but I simply kept talking. “I'm happy I got to have this journey. I at least now got to see how I changed as a person after all my success. I got to see the type of failure I became…"

The growl that came from the Ninetales silenced my self-pity party. Me and the Pokémon locked eyes and I could almost feel its quiet demand. It didn't want me to pity myself or cry in sorrow, not when she had done so much to save me in this situation.

“You're right… being depressed isn't going to get me out of this situation. I'm just so tired." I closed my eyes and sighed just for my breath to catch in my throat. I found it hard to ignore the teasing grind she performed as she gyrated her hips into my crotch. As silently gasped as she repeated the motion and I briefly wondered if a Pokémon was capable of performing a lap dance.

“You don't have to do this… I don't think I deserve it." I whispered to the Pokémon. This blizzard had me utterly crushed and yet this fox here believed I deserved something as wonderful as her. It was completely baffling to me.

But of course I didn't want her to stop and she had no intentions on doing so. As soon as she repeated the moment once more I bucked my hips up into hers before using my hands to pull my pants down revealing my shaft in all of its meaty splendor. The Pokémon almost seemed to squeak in surprise as she gazed at my malehood. It stood proudly despite my weakness and the slight chill of the air as it awaited her attention. Despite my newfound forwardness the snow fox pressed herself against me and gyrated her hips once more.

I could practically feel the heat of her secret treasure radiating against my cock, the gentle grinding feeling of her clit against me strangely arousing. The way her outer lips kissed the base of my shaft as her fur rubbed against the rest of my length and the skin around my manhood… all of it came together to have my grip her rear as hard as I could. She froze yet again before continuing her actions as I used my hold on her and the wall behind me to grind back into her.

We held out position like that for a moment as we just felt the other. I realized now that she was probably new to this, every new sensation making her jump slightly before she continued. Every teasing squeeze of her rear made her shift slightly. Every time I pulled her hips closer she whined out. And every time I pushed upwards as she came down she grit her teeth as if trying to hold in a moan. She was so different from the many human girls I had before and yet as she set her two front paws on either side of my head to use the wall herself I found myself much more eager than I could remember in the past. Not that I was thinking too hard on anything else but her right now.

Her four paws positioned around me she began to truly ride against me. The fox was now panting as I continued to use my hands to hold her though now it was mostly to keep her from going too far with her movements. Her arousal was now evident as my rod began to glisten with the nectar within her petals, her blue clit and outer lips slightly enlarged as they prepared for the act of trying to take me in. Still for now I simple took a few more moments to enjoy her ministrations. While she was no longer swiveling her hips in lovely circles, her enthusiastic bucking in my lap was more than enjoyable.

As her speed did not slow and I began to thrust back against her in my own erratic way it did not surprise me when the head of my shaft came into contact with her moist outer lips. Taking the moment of her surprise I quickly pushed her down with the vantage I had on her lower form. The Alolan Ninetales squealed out in shock and pleasure as I forced her down almost roughly. I too was shocked but for a different reason, her inner muscles tightening on me almost painfully as her slick inner heat engulfed the tip of my shaft.

Of course I wasn't satisfied with just the tip, I wanted to bury the entire bone. With that thought I began to push down on her hips again, another inch disappearing into the sanctuary of this ice girl's cunt. A lewd squelching sound filled my ears as another inch disappeared into her. The Ninetales was absolutely shaking from the pleasure as she looked me directly in the eye. I smiled at her before pushing her down as forcibly as I could.

The Ice type almost seemed to melt into me as she bucked and shuddered once I bottomed out in her. One last inch cried alone in the cold outside but the other six inches of my cock were in heaven. She gasped and whimpered adorably as I lifted her up before plunging her down again. Clear juices gushed messily from her twat as we sat there together. I was still too cold and weak to push forward myself and she was busy shuddering against me as she tried to get used to this new sensation.

Eventually she got tired of just sitting there however and with a slight cry the Ninetales lifted her hips before grinding them back down. The slow reentry was almost maddening and my toes curled as I resisted just giving in right then and blowing my loads. Again she repeated the action, the slow caress of her inner muscles forcing me to grit my teeth now as my eyes squeezed shut. I didn't need to see in order to feel each folded muscle inside of her as she began bouncing slowly in my lap.

Trying to hold on was quickly becoming a tall order as my hands gripped her hindquarters ever harder in my attempt to slow her pace even further. The thickness of my shaft kept her attempts at speeding up at bay for the moment, her cunt stretched as far as she could handle it seemed. Just as I was not used to the sensation of her heated depths being offset by her chilling fur, she was not exactly made for a human cock. Every inch of her vixen womanhood was stretching to its limits as she struggle to hold it all in… and yet it was exactly that which was allowing me to hit every one of her inner nerves as she ground herself down once again.

“I'm not sure how much more I can take." I finally admitted to the fox as she continued to bounce in my lap. No more than ten thrusts into her and I was about ready to surrender and yet I didn't want to, not only because I wanted to have the moment continue… but because of that teasing coy smile she was giving me. She was growing accustomed to this much faster than I was and was gyrating her hips once more in small circles as if to coax out my orgasm. Each roll of her hips made her cervix mash against my tip messily, her plentiful juices easing any resistance between us.

Of course I wasn't quite ready to give in yet and I fought off my orgasm as best as I could and yet I knew it was a losing battle. Just like every other game played between us she was just better at it, an admission that made me heated to the tips of my ears in embarrassment. All my experience in bed and I was thinking about literally anything to keep the twitching of my cock to a minimum. But twitch it did as she massaged every inch I had afforded her, her pussy dripping and squelching lewdly as she pressed as hard as she could into me and simply held there. The last inch of my shaft finally sunk into her as pleasure spiking through me as she serviced me from the base to the tip with her dripping cunt.

I wanted to say anything to the Ninetales to speak of how amazing she felt but all escaped was a quiet moan, not that she held that against me as I opened my eyes and looked at her. Her blue eyes almost seemed to twinkle before she suddenly raised her haunches and pumped them down.

Finally I gave up and with a guttural cry I thrust up causing the vixen to squeak and then tremble. Every burst of semen from my bulbous tip was accompanied by an erratic thrust as I worked to stuff her hole with everything I had. My vision was almost blurry as I pressed her down into my final thrust just to make sure I was right up against her womb in hopes of painting her insides even whiter than the fur of her lovely form. My forceful climax seemed to push her over the edge as well as the fox Pokémon wailed out her own climax, inner muscles squeezing my length relentlessly in a delicious rhythmic motion that only forced me weakly thrust more to fire a few more bursts of cum into her.

As my vision returned I looked the Ninetales in the eyes before we both looked down at our union, a mixture of her clear juices and my semen slowly oozed from her before she slowly removed herself. I was again remind how tight a fit she was as we disconnected, a messy burst of our pleasured ejections painted my crotch and her fur as she sat in my lap again. We both sat there panting as we came down from our respective highs, sweat dripping a bit from my brow as my eyes began to close. My conscious began to drift away in pleasured bliss as she separated from me just for me to be jolted up again, her long slightly chilled tongue dancing up my spent, half hard member.

I breathlessly watched her as she ran her tongue across my length once more, the blue appendage disappearing back into her mouth as she seemed to taste our mixed fluids. She didn't seem to mind its taste or texture as she went right back to work, cleaning me slowly and diligently. As soon as my cock was glistening with just her saliva she cleaned the rest of my crotch off as well. My legs twitched and I could only moan once more as that strong lengthy muscle swirled against my skin. She was teasing me I realized as every lap of her tongue excited me further until I was hard once more.

“Again?" I asked, a question that was answered with an enthusiastic nod from her. As I reached for her though she danced just slightly out of my range, the fox turning around and lifting her tails to expose herself once more to me, her cunt slightly distended from our rutting revealing a mixture of our liquids and the light blue of her inner chamber. Figuring she wanted me to return the favor I reached for her once more just for her to step away once more. Her tails folded down as she looked at me coyly my confusion from her actions finally lifted. She wanted me to catch her in this state? It was a ludicrous request but I got up anyways and tried to follow after her. My grasps for her were clumsy and slow and she just danced out of range every time her tails tickling my crotch as the teasing Pokémon lead me closer and closer to the exit of the cave.

As I looked at her, framed by the light of the outside world I finally saw now that the blizzard had passed over, leaving the world newly coated and shimmering white. She looked about ready to run off into the snow again, my arm throbbing slightly as I remembered the earlier pain. Still it was possible now to at least try to make it back I realized. Pulling my pants up over my unhappy erection I followed her into the snow.

The human followed after me with a quiet determination, his life staked now on the hopes that he would be able to follow me all the way to his camp site. Every step he took crushed a bit more of the newly laid snow while each of mine were silent, another testament to the differences between the two of us. And yet I found myself adoring each sound.

My mother had been raised by a trainer and she always talked happily about how determined and kind they could be. I could see a bit of what she meant now as I looked back at the man who was now completely dependent on me. For the last few days I had stalked their group in hopes of picking out one for myself in hopes of experiencing the world of the humans just like she had before me. Admittedly he had not been my first pick, a sad petty feeling lingered about him and I didn't like the way he had treated the people he called friends.

And yet I could now see the misguided pain inside of him now, he would be a better person now and much more attractive a pick. I almost sighed happily, a sound that came off as a pleased cry to him as I looked the blonde furred human over. In a way I was happy things had gone the way it did, I had no idea how wonderful a mating between the two of us would feel. My mother certainly hadn't told me about that part. I knew I could get really used to our partnership if that accompanied his commitment and I was happy that little accident occurred.

My tails twitched again in a happy teasing dance for the human before I picked up my pace. Markus was it? I was going to have a lot of fun with him.

The trip back to the camp was one of the hardest hikes in my life. What wouldn't have been that hard a walk normally was made much more challenging by my weakened state and the bitter cold. The lack of howling winds was a blessing though since I doubted I would have made it even with her guidance and help. Even her teasing flashes had begun to lose their effect on me, the final leg of my trip a determined push where I could only concentrate on the next step.

Yet make it I did, my tent and its heater calling out to me. My almost single minded walk was interrupted by someone calling my name.

“Markus? Markus man you're okay."

“Josh?" I replied turning to him slowly. The Ninetales stepped away from the two of us as if giving us space.

“I was worried about you." Josh started before taking a step closer. “When we couldn't find you after the blizzard swept through… just don't do that again okay?"

“I won't… listen Josh I'm sorry for everything. I haven't been a good friend in recent times." Josh gave me a slightly skeptical look. Normally he was the first to apologize for my actions, an action that would normally inspire me to look past our current problem. Today… no everything would be different from now on.

“Don't worry about it… we're friends after all."

“Yeah." The silent between us for awkward for a moment and I knew it would be a bit of time before either of us actually got over the ordeal. But I planned for our friendship to be much better than ever.

“Nine…" The vixen beside me complained as if to break our silent reverie.

“Oh… this is my new friend. She helped me through that blizzard and I straight would have died without her."

“I see… well thank you for taking care of him. He can be a lot to deal with." The Pokémon giggled at that and I had to crack a smile at that as well.

“Oh… man we forgot the camera." The fox looked back at me sheepishly, she had forgotten it too… not that either of us cared about it at the time.

“Well tell me around the area you left it. We can go search for it while it's still safe while you rest up. Maybe start editing whatever you shot."

“Nonono, trust me. I should be the one to find it. I'm not going to let you have to carry my slack like always."

“It's not that big a deal… but I guess?" Josh replied with a shrug. “That blizzard seemed to have done a number on you. You're not even acting like the same person. Next you're going to offer me a back massage."

“You um… want one?"

“Markus go to sleep, you clearly hit your head out there." With that he began to walk off. “Oh and you only have four hours, we still have a schedule to keep after all."

“Wow… my near death experience doesn't even get me five?"

“Maybe try not to wander off into a blizzard. Does a lot for your health… and my sanity."

“Yeah… that's fair." With that I and my new partner bee-lined straight for the tent, everyone one else only getting a small greeting. I only had four hours to sleep darn it. As soon as I was in my tent I zipped it close before cutting on the heater, the immediate following action being my long awaited rest on an actually soft blanket. I was just about to doze off from my exhaustion before I felt something shift moments before a long chilled tongue danced across my neck. I shivered slightly at the lick before she began to inch her muzzle closer to my crotch, a coy look on her face.

I'd be punctual and courteous to Josh some other time… today I'd need more than four hours in my tent.

Author Note: This took a literal forever to write. Something more weird is next... when I get around to typing it anyways.
