#3 of Stomach Aches

This is the third chapter to the hopelessly romantic love story I decided to conceptualize quite some time ago! It's a short one, and the writing style is still as amateur as ever. I've been writing in my down time, just to step into a different outlet. It's been quite soothing. Enjoy! <3

"So, what exactly are we going to do?" asked Gerard.

Everett shrugged, gripping the steering wheel and starting his vehicle. "I honestly don't know. I just figured it'd be a good idea to not be cooped up inside for another day.. plus, it was fun the other night. Being oot and aboot."

The panther snorted, "Out and about, or oot and aboot?" mocking Everett's failed attempt to run anyway from his native tongue.

The wolf rolled his eyes, "Yeah, yeah, make fun all you want." Though he couldn't help but smile and egg on the mockery even more, "but if ya keep on fockin' chirpin', I'm gonna have a go at ya, bud."

Gerard piped up a loud laughter, "Yeah!? Chirpin', huh?"

"Fuckin' right! Throw ya into a fuckin' snowbank and just start feedin' ya the hammers!" said Everett over Gerard's nearly hysterical laughter. The wolf soon joined him in laughter, Gerard's laughter was contagious to say the least.

They soon calmed down with laughter, leaving them both slouched back into their seats and panting. "We haven't even left the lot, and I-.. I'm sweating. Oh my goodness." huffed out Everett.

Gerard chuckles, "Heh, yeah. You're supposed to sweat when we're back at your place." The panther adjusts himself and sits up, looking at Everett for a reaction.

Everett looks at him with a rather sassy look, "We will see about that."

"Yeah? Well, if that's the case then let's hurry this date up!" said the panther.

Everett sat up and looked at him, turning the vehicle off. He stared Gerard down with sparkly, narrow eyes and a smirk.

Gerard began to grow embarrassed as he shifted his eyes to Everett, and then to something else. "Uh, Ev..? You're making bedroom eyes at me and it is very concerning."

"No, not quite bedroom eyes. I'm just.. happy. You felt comfortable enough to make a joke like that in front of me, and we only just met." said Everett. As he listened to his thoughts finally get spoken, he laughed.

Gerard was silent..

"Look. As weird as it sounds-"

"It doesn't sound weird. Or.. well, it kind of does.. but there's merit to how you think." piped up Gerard, cutting the wolf off. "Sorry to cut you off like that, by the way! I totally understand your thought process behind it."

Everett huffed and looked at him contently. "I don't want to leave right now. I feel like going inside and drinking tea with you.."

"NO! WE-- are going to go out right now!" demanded Gerard. "You need to get out more. You ever said it yourself!"

The wolf put on his puppy eyes, and pouted. "Puhwease, Gewawd?"

Gerard sighed and opened his door, "You win immediately with that look. Immediately." He began to walk to the entrance to the apartment complex.

The wolf excitedly got out and followed after.

"So, what are we going to do with our day then, huh?" asked Gerard.

"We can relax, and hang out for now. I'm still kind of tired.. didn't get the greatest sleep, you know. We can have that date when it's closer to night time!" said Everett. He yawned and stretched, making his way to the sectional. He laid down on the shortest part of the sectional for he was rather small, and didn't mind having to bring his legs in a little.

Gerard sighed and followed him, sitting down next to Everett's head. "I don't know about you, but I got pretty good sleep! I didn't sleep a lot, but it was incredibly refreshing. You've got a comfy bed!" he said, now looking down and looking eyes with Everett. "I also got to share it with you, so that was pretty awesome. I got to sleep with you, and we hadn't even gone a date yet!"

Everett snorted out a laugh. He covered his nose in slight embarrassment.

"Hey, don't be embarrassed! I found the snort to be adorable as ever." said Gerard. The panther slowly moved the hand covering Everett's nose. They locked eyes and awkwardness ensued. Gerard blinked his eyes, and looked away. "Sorry."

Everett's eyes were wide. He took a moment to assess what had just happened, now sitting up and looking at Gerard. "It's fine. I wouldn't have stopped you. I've been feeling the same way since I woke up, but I know damn well not to let my lust get in the way of what might be better for me.." The wolf was very new to the concept of lust, and it was powerful. He had never kissed anyone, and he sure as hell didn't think he'd ever get the chance without it being incredibly awkward.

"Look.. We shouldn't rush into that, you know? It wouldn't be good for the potential future."

They sat in silence-- long, awkward silence before Gerard breaks it. "What about that tea? That would be nice right now!"

Everett nods and gets up, walking himself into the kitchen to gather everything. He pulls out his glass teapot, thermometer, tea strainer, and his favorite tea. After successfully filling up the teapot, he sets it on the stove top and turns it on a medium heat, now awaiting the boiling.

"Hey, that's cool! I didn't realise glass teapots were a thing.." said Gerard. He got up and walked over next to Everett, "You can watch it boil!"

Everett choked on air after breathing in sharply in excitement. He began to have a small coughing fit, turning away from the teapot. The panther pat the wolf's back a couple of times for reassurance. Everett nodded and turned back around, "Sorry about that, I just-- that's why I got it, to watch the water boil!"

Gerard smiled, and hugged Everett rather tightly. He spoke lightly, "As much as it is adorable, you should maybe learn to tone it down a bit. I don't know if you realise it? But you just choked on air." He laughed and let go, keeping his hands near Everett's waist. "Again, it was adorable, but I don't know how to do CPR. I would rather you not die because of me!"

Everett's arms were straight down as he stared at Gerard with surprised eyes, and flaring nostrils. He reveled in the affection that he never has received up until this moment. He snapped out of his surprise and turned into an odd mess, bringing his hands up. He hesitantly put his hands on Gerard's shoulders, now looking downward. "Sorry, this-"

"Is a first for you?" interrupted Gerard, "I can tell.. Which is okay! It's not bad. It's a good thing you haven't gotten yourself caught up--.. This stuff--.. You're not missing much, especially if you're not into, well, ya know.. Just fucking.. I'm not really into it-- it's great, don't get me wrong, but if you get attached enough to the person and that ends? It's just heartbreaking. Especially if they're your first.. So, please be careful with everything between us. I'm not sayin' I'm scummy, or anything.. But I don't wanna be a piece of crap to you."

"I don't think I could ever see you as a piece of crap. Especially.. Uh.. with what you've just said, and stuff. I now know your intentions, and I must say that it makes me very inclined to want to be intimate with you in the future. Near or not."

Gerard laughed lightly, "That was articulate of you. Is this you being awkward still? Or is this how you've always spoken?"

Everett smiled and looked up at him, "It's a dialect that I had through most of my life in most social situations.. I was very much so a sedated dude. I think it was mostly a defense mechanism to steer people away that I felt wouldn't be good for me. Just so I didn't ever really have to worry about letting someone in, and regretting it. Small, midwest towns don't really like nerds all too much, and I guess I figured that if you exemplified that trait? More people would be less inclined to talk to you, and in return you are able to truly have good friendships with the people who were either on the same level, or just someone who genuinely wanted to break down the walls, and truly be your friend. You managed to do it over the course of not even two days, and I'm very glad you did so."

Everett was met with a tight squeeze from Gerard. The panther lifted him off of his feet, and then back down. "I cannot BELIEVE someone would want to NOT be friends with you! You're so fun, and accommodating!" said Gerard. He sighed pulled the wolf back in for a much more gentle hug. He spoke softly, "I'm sorry you were bullied n' stuff.."

"Er-- well, Gerard-- I mean, I wouldn't say I was bullied.. Just an outcast compared to the rest, but by choice." Everett backed away slightly from the hug, now face to face with Gerard. "If I'm being honest..? Most of my problems were self inflicted. I wanted attention, but I denied it from my family, and friends. Then after convincing myself of how lonely and hated I was, I would create drama in order to get attention, and I wouldn't suffer a consequence from it because I was seen as this poor kid who had a bad life.. Even though I actually had a great life, but due to my own stubbornness, and.. Stupidity! I had convinced myself and everyone else that I didn't have one. Which is why I make it a point to be nice, open, and honest. 'Could easily fall right back into that."

Gerard was taken back by the sudden spill of thoughts. He looked at Everett with a shifting glance, trying to take it all in. Everett sighed and back out of the embrace completely, making his way to the front door, putting on his shoes, and walking out. Gerard snapped back into reality as he heard the door shut. He quickly gathered himself and was out the door, "Hold on, Eve!"

Gerard pushed the door of the apartment complex open, and spoke loudly "Eve? Come back inside, you're gonna get sick!" His eyes quickly locked on the wolf out in the middle of the parking lot, staring up at the moon. He saw a cloud of breath come from the wolf, now jogging towards Everett. He stopped behind him and spoke up, "What's up, buddy?"

"Nothing.. I'm-- nothing." said Everett, still staring up at the moon.

Gerard makes his way to the right of Everett. "Come on, Everett.. First you basically stormed out of your apartment, and just a couple of seconds ago you sighed heavily. I saw it from all the way back there." said Gerard. The wolf was silent, still staring up at the moon in it's full glory. "Though I don't blame you for staring at the moon.. It's gorgeous tonight, innit?" The wolf was still silent. Gerard sighed and kissed him on his cheek, moving in front of him to hug him. "I can't let you freeze out here.. Let's go back inside and warm back up, you'll get sick if you stay out here too long.." said Gerard, still wrapped around Everett.

"I still feel alone.. It's scary-- not because I feel alone? But, because it's a trait of my awful former self. I hate him. I damn well know I'm not alone, I've.. just-- what good is sunshine when all you do is stay inside?" said Everett, now bringing his gaze down.

Gerard brought his head back and stepped back a little, taking Everett's hands in his. "Come on, man.. Don't fault yourself for being lonely. I don't think that it's a bad trait, or whatever you wanna call it. Hell, it's not really even a trait, because everyone feels lonely sometimes.. Even when they're not. I'm not going to tell you that it's okay to feel that way? But you eventually won't feel lonely one of these days, and I truly hope that I can help get you to 'that day'."

Everett's nostrils began to flare as his eyes hesitantly locked onto Gerard's. His lips started to quiver slightly, along with his body. The panther quickly made the only move he could think of making: planting a kiss on Everett's lips. The wolf inhaled sharply in surprise, his eyes now incredibly wet from the sudden rush of many different emotions. He closed his eyes and leaned into the kiss, the tears that were once welled in his eyes were now on his cheekbones and cold.

Gerard broke the kiss and began to kiss Everett's neck softly, speaking in a soft and low voice between the kisses, "Now-- I would love to-- keep going-- but.." he stopped kissing Everett's neck, moved his mouth near the wolf's left ear and whispered, "You left the stove on, and the water is probably boil over right now."

"Oh-- OH.. DAMMIT! FUCK! WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY SO EARLIER?!" said Everett, now in a full on sprint to his apartment.

"Oh, I don't know? BECAUSE WE WERE MAKING OUT?!" roared Gerard, laughing loudly and running after Everett.
