Healing, Home, and Heartache
#6 of Legends of Hyrule
Hey guys! This series is going full steam ahead! Woo! Thanks again for all the support, comments, notes, votes and favorites! It's been awesome to get so much feedback so far for what started out as a 'Lets just write some Rito smut and see where it goes' initial idea.
In this Chapter, Shadi awakens to find herself in the Zora's domain, some time after her capture, and meets a new friend who helps her deal with the losses endured after her imprisonment, while helping him deal with some loss of his own.
As always, the Lovely Shadi is FA: xshadi , Go check her awesome art out!

Shadi's mind floated in and out of consciousness for what felt like an eternity. She saw mountains that touched the sky. Waterfalls that poured upwards. Fields of green and blue and purple that flowered and shriveled and dried only for the cycle to begin anew. She saw her family, and missed them dearly. She saw shadowy blue eyes that had protected her, and warm blue wings that had embraced her. She felt the warmth of a fire, and the chill of the icy water as she'd broke the surface, and sank into the dark, murky depths, choosing the uncertainty of the unknown over a certainty of slavery.
Distantly, she knew she hurt, but it was far off, like somebody trying to call to her across a vast distance, and soon, it too faded like everything else. She saw Kass trying to warn her of the danger, and she turned in her dreams, facing the towering gold Lizfols as he forced himself over her, smothering her cries with his bulk.
She trembled, feeling entirely too hot, yet chilled to the bone all at once, and the stars spun at a dizzying pace overhead, casting streaks of light across the sky. She was falling now, faster and faster still, hurtling towards the ground as she opened her mouth to-
She awoke, and gasped in a heaving lungful of air as the water splashed around her, disturbed from it's peaceful tranquil state by her sudden flailing as she sat up, pushing her feet down against the smooth stone beneath her. Her paws floundered in the water as she sought to keep her head above the icy-
She stopped, taking a moment to breathe as her vision refocused. The ceiling above her was made of a smooth, blueish stone like material, polished smooth and engraved with intricate carvings of tangled lilies upon the surface of a lake. The water surrounding her was pleasantly warm, neither too hot nor too cold, and when she sat up fully, it came level with her breasts, the water lapping against her fur as it stilled once more.
She covered herself with her paws quickly, looking about in a fright. This wasn't the Lizfols prison she had been in, that much was certain. A short stairway led upwards towards a distant light of day, blocked out by a thin curtain of sorts, but the inside of this chamber was lit by small, glowing lanterns made of the same material, gilded with silver decorations.
She stood up, letting the water spill from her fur as she took a hesitant step forwards. Whatever aches and pains she had felt before seemed to have washed away with the bath she'd awoken in. Her large ears swiveled, but aside from her own rapid breaths and the soft lapping of the water against the edge of the pool, it was otherwise silent.
"H-hello?" She called out, leaning against the edge of the stairs as she took another step upwards. Something shifted at the mouth of the passage above her, and quickly, the thin curtain covering the doorway opened, a figure appearing in the gap.
"Oh! You're awake!" A slender, blue skinned face poked around from the top of the steps, a long, fluked tail extending from the back of the Zora's head as he turned, swimming green eyes taking her in. She blushed, and quickly turned, trying to cover her modesty with her paws and tail.
"Stay there, I'll fetch you some clothes so you can dress before you come up!"
True to his word, a few moments later, the Zora reappeared, passing a bundle of fine, almost silk like robes around the corner to her, trying at least to preserve some sense of modesty, and she pulled them down over her head, finding them to be an almost uncannily good fit. The material dropped down to her ankles, silver thread adorning the edges. Somebody took a great deal of pride when they made this, she thought.
She stepped up into the light, pulling back the curtain completely. The sounds of rushing waterfalls and a melody like soft notes of a harp being plucked greeted her, filling her mind with a wash of new sounds and sights. The Zora from before was sitting on a small bench nearby, across the open walled room from her as he waited patiently.
"Ahhh, I hope everything fits... When we found you, you were hypothermic and barely holding on." He explained, his voice reminding her of a confidant, but charismatic young man she'd once known in her homeland, and in a way, the familiarity struck a note within her, helping to ease her racing heart.
She rubbed her eyes, taking in the sights of the strange, yet elegantly beautiful Zora architecture, doing a little spin as she tried to gather her bearings, before finally settling on the blue skinned Zora.
"What is this place? How long..."
"You're on the lowest level of Zora's Domain. After the Calamity, we created a sort of healing ward in the extra space using the techniques taught by Champion Mipha and what we had learned studying the resurrection chamber... Fortunately, ours don't take a hundred years to work. As for how long you've been here, about two weeks, give or take. For a while, we were worried you wouldn't make it."
His smile was disarming, and Shadi felt herself relax further, her tail giving a swish to flick the remaining moisture from it. Whatever the robe was made from, it seemed to wick the water from her damp fur. Even now, she could barely have said she was submerged in a pool just minutes ago.
"How did you know I was there? In the camp with those..." She paused, shuddering as the memories came back to her, and she quickly suppressed them with a frown. "Things..."
His confused look caught her off guard, and he brushed one long, fin like arm back across the length of his head-tail. The truth of the situation was less pretty than the outcome apparently.
"Truthfully, we didn't. Sidon, the Prince, only ordered the attack be carried out that morning after we heard about the camp so near to our borders. We only expected the Lizfols, or else we'd have never used bomb arrows so freely. I saw you when you went into the water, but we didn't actually find you until the morning after the battle where you'd washed up on the edge of the lake with some driftwood. At first I mistook you for a Lazfols diving into the water to escape." He confessed with a quiet, awkward chuckle.
"Well, I wasn't but... I'm glad at least someone found me, so... Thank you... uh?" She let her thanks trail off a little, giving the male a curious sort of tone, trying to make her ignorance apparent.
"Oh! I'm sorry! Zaroon. I was the one who found you and took care of you while you recovered. I've never seen one of your kind before. What are you? Some kind of relation to the Rito, or?" He seemed genuinely fascinated, a long, second tail extending from his back slipping across the surface of the seat as flop beside himself, the fluke flicking back and forth as if he were paddling the air. The underside was a stark white in contrast to the almost navy blue of his skin, as were his torso and thighs.
It took Shadi a moment to realize he was almost as naked as she had been moments before! Her nose went pink as she caught herself staring, a soft mewl escaping her. He was toned and athletic, as one would expect from a race that spent most of their lives swimming, the gills in his sides shifting slightly with his breaths. She'd mistaken the thin belt of silver around his waist as the top of some kind of covering, but in truth, it was just that. A belt, and absolutely nothing else. His entire figure was devoid of clothing save that one item, and even it did nothing but serve as decoration.
He stood up, clearing his throat with a curious chuckle.
"What? Never seen a Zora before? I've only seen Hylians turn that shade when they realized we don't wear clothes. I know that look." He teased her quietly.
"No, no! Just... Well, no. Not really... I'm an Amasii. Uh, feline. Lioness. I came here from across the sea to the west, trying to learn- FUCK!"
The curse left her mouth suddenly and unexpectedly, and Zaroon recoiled slightly, caught off guard by her outburst.
"Uh, is... Something the matter?"
"Fuck!" She swore again, pacing about back and forth as her long, feline tail lashed back and forth. "My things! The Lizfols took them when they caught me!"
"Wait wait, calm down! You need to have a seat for a moment. What things exactly?" He asked concernedly, gently and carefully trying to guide the absolutely livid female over to the bench.
"All my books, my clothes, my food! I had a Sheikah Slate in my pack as well!" She growled, pushing off his hands from her shoulders as she flicked her tail again, agrilly slapping it against the ground with a damp smack.
"That was my entire life's work up until this point!" She hissed, snarling in barely contained frustration. "All my notes, my research, drawings and pictures! I can't just return home without it!"
Shadi was beside herself with a mixture of grief and fury, boiling and churning as she saw red, stomping back and forth.
"Well, hold on... Maybe one of the other Zora found it during the attack? I'm sure something like that would stand out from the other things recovered, right? I mean, how many people do you know with one of those? A handful of Hylian advisors and the Champion himself... I imagine that would be a fairly big find." He tried again to calm her, keeping his tone soft and even, but clearly sympathetic to her plight.
Years upon years of research and study! All her reference books and maps, her sketches... Kass's music book he'd given her... That one hit harder than the rest, and she stopped, sighing, trying to compose herself before she became a mess of fur and tears. She stood up, straightening herself out, and brushed down the edges of her robe, taking a long breath to force her thoughts into cohesion again.
"Where would they have put it if they had found anything?" She stopped, turning to address the Zora. There was no point directing her fury at him. After all, it hadn't been him who had taken her things, and it hadn't been him who had lost them either.
"Likely up in the main part of the city. There's a vault behind the master smith's where they tend to keep everything foreign found on such outings. If it was anywhere, It would be there or with either the Prince or King himself." He offered helpfully, flashing a toothy smile. She couldn't help but suspect this particular Zora had something shark-like in his lineage. His teeth looked dangerous.
"Can you take me there? I uh... Don't know which way that is." She admitted after a moment of embarrassment.
Zaroon led her gently by the paw up a long stairway, curving elegantly around the edge of the city. Shadi stared open mouthed at the massive formations of crystals and the same bluish stone the city was made of that ringed the entire domain, waterfalls elegantly flowing into the basin over artificial spillways that dominated the view, and caused the constant rush of water that filled her large ears with white noise.
"How long has all of this been here?" She asked over the din as they walked, Zaroon waving a broad, finned arm around to indicate the expanse of the domain as it stood.
"Hundreds of years, though it's only recently since the end of the calamity that we begun expanding the city itself again, providing room for those who had fled elsewhere to return. During it, Vah Ruta, the divine beast, was taken over by Ganon's minions and almost flooded the city. Vah Ruta provides us with an unlimited supply of renewable, clean water, and since its purification, it's become a major attraction for travelers to come and see." He motioned out to the the south east, up a large hill where several waterfalls cascaded down into the basin of the domain, and the head of the Zora river.
"I see... Maybe if we can find my things, you could show me later?" Shadi nodded, trying to force a smile past her anxiety. Gods above she hoped that they had found it all in one piece...
"It'd be my pleasure. You've been in the recovery pools for a while. A gentle hike will do your legs good." He smiled again, and Shadi couldn't help but smile back. At least he was trying to help out...
He led her through the central part of the city, past a large fountain featuring a stunningly pretty Zora and a Hylian in a distinctive tunic and cap standing side by side. Shadi stopped, taking a few moments to admire it, ignoring the curious looks of other Zora passing by while she read the engraving at the foot of the fountain.
Dedicated to the memory of the Zora Champion Mipha, and also to Link, who she dedicated herself. May her grace give the future generations of all races a shining example to follow in peace.
Zaroon stood beside her quietly, allowing her a few moments as he stared up at the likeness of the champions.
"She was truly something else, Mipha. I know Sidon still misses her so. It was he who ordered this memorial built for his sister and Link. I studied healing alongside her, but she was always the most gifted of Muzu's students... I was far her junior, but she was always the kindest and most soulful person..." She caught him staring, and he shook his head, smiling again to quickly disguise what had clearly been something else.
"She was beautiful. They failed to capture her true likeness though. The artisans hadn't known her personally. She's pretty here, but she was a wonder in her own right. Her loss was all the Zora's loss. We had been close, once upon a time, but she was royalty, and I just the son of a simple footman." He explained, sighing.
"It's nothing. She only had eyes for the Hylian knight, but we remained good friends nonetheless. No point dwelling on it after all. Come on, the smith's is this way." He spoke with a polite gesture, leading her away from the fountain with a single, finned hand. She didn't question him on it further, instead trying to focus on recovering her things.
As it turned out, they had found a few of her belongings, but most everything of value or worth was gone. The Lizfols put no stock in writing, so all of her journals were gone. They also had little appreciation for art, so her sketchbooks had been dumped out of the bag. Kass's songbook that he'd gifted her was missing as well, and of course, her Sheikah Slate was nowhere to be found.
What little was left was little enough to be worthless. Her backpack, her sword and bow, her quiver and a fistfull of rupees. Oh, and one set of ripped clothing. Because that helped her out even to bother listing it.
She stared at the backpack, empty and almost weightless, and gave a mournful sigh.
"Well, it's more than nothing at least... I'm sorry about your books. Lizfols aren't known for being avid readers..." Zaroon tried to comfort her somewhat, but Shadi simply sat, brooding on a small bench in the plaza by the memorial.
"It might as well be nothing. Weeks of research and books and pictures just... Gone." She threw her hands up in an exasperated 'Poof!' motion.
"I'll have to start over completely! Not to mention the books that I brought with me! Some of those were from before the Calamity. You can't just replace them!" She shouted to nobody in particular, earning a few concerned look from passers by.
"Well, you have a room here for as long as you need while you get back on your feet. This is a setback, but it shouldn't stop you from doing what you love. I can tell you're passionate about your work, and it would be a shame-" Shadi held up a paw, stopping the blue Zora in his tracks.
"Just stop! A setback is spending two weeks healing after being captured and used as a plaything by beasts. This though?" She shook her head, both at a loss for words and frustrated beyond speaking.
Zaroon moved to stop her, but she batted his hand aside, striding off to the small room on the bottom level she'd been granted while she finished recovering. She was beyond livid, and right now, pissed off at everyone and everything. Perhaps she could book passage home come tomorrow, if she could scrounge up the rupees to pay for it...
For the better part of the afternoon, Shadi had her wishes to be left in her solitude respected while she vented her frustrations in equal measure shouting into nothingness and crying into the pillow on her bed. She clung to her tail like it were a treasured toy, and tried her best to soothe herself without a great deal of success.
It was almost dark when a knock roused her from her self-pity, a quiet rapping against the edge of her room's doorway, the thin curtain drawn shut against the outside world. The gentle knock came again.
"What?" She snapped, doing her best to try and smear the tears on her cheeks away into the soft chocolate fur of her arm. She succeeded in making a damp patch on that as well.
"Shadi? I thought you might be hungry, so-"
"Leave it by the door." She sighed, trying her best not to be mad with him. She couldn't blame him, not really. He was just trying to help. She was the one doing her damnedest to sabotage that.
"Can I come in for a moment? I got you something else." He started while Shadi tried to think of any reason to keep him outside.
"No." She finally muttered, declining to expand on her response.
"Please?"
Dammit.
"Fine, but just for a minute." She finally relented, her tail flickering irritably. The Zora slowly pushed his way inside around the curtain, walking in and sitting on the bed beside her slowly. He was much taller than her. Hell, everyone but the Bokoblins were much taller than her here. His head fin flicked as he turned to face her, the fluke batting at the air.
In his lap was a silver tray, a pair of bowls of boiled fish and rice curry steaming softly. Shadi's stomach growled as the flavorful aroma wafted across her nose. How long had it been since she ate last?
"I thought you'd say that... Honey and water only stretches so far." He gave her a gentle smile, and she accepted the bowl without further complained. The first bite was enough to turn her appetite ravenous, and she picked up her fork, all but shoveling the meal into her muzzle.
Zaroon just laughed quietly, quietly taking up his own bowl and taking a few bites in silence, before seeing Shadi finish her own food, he graciously offered her his own leftovers. She accepted without a single word, eating without complaint until all that was left two empty bowls and the platter.
She couldn't help but look at him with an almost wry, grateful sort of smile.
"Isn't it weird for you guys to... Well, you know. Eat other fish?" She asked after a few moments of awkward silence, to which she received a barely contained snort of amusement in response from the Zora.
"Sharks eat fish all the time, yet it's not strange for them, is it?" He offered her the counter. After a moment of thought, Shadi shrugged, managing a quiet giggle. Perhaps her hunger had been a factor in her mood. With that problem taken care of, she already felt an improvement overall.
"I want more of that." She stated flatly. "Please." She added after a moment, her nose pinkening. Zaroon chuckled.
"I can do that, but first, I brought you something else as well... I know it won't replace what you lost, but..." He began, reaching underneath the platter. He pulled out a small book, the cover bound and pressed with the same material her robe was made from. A trio of different toned pencils had been neatly tied to its front with a small sash of blue fabric, and immediately, Shadi smiled. The loss was still fresh, but... The hole felt a little filled at least.
She took it gratefully, letting the soft leathery pads of her fingers run across the bindings before she flipped it open, feeling the crisp, fresh blank pages beneath them, full of potential and creativity waiting to be artfully filled with all she saw and learned. She looked up at the Zora, a faint smile crossing her lips.
"Thank you..."
"You're welcome. It would be a shame if your story ended on such a down note. You should finish it, even if you do have to rewrite the first chapters... I thought you might like to go and see Vah Ruta. The lights on its surface reflect beautifully on to the reservoir, and I figured that it would be as good a thing to draw on the first page as any, right?" He chanced on the offer being enough to get through her melancholy, and it had cheered her up clearly, but Shadi did have to make conditions before she did anything else...
"Okay... But only if we can get some more of whatever that food was first."
Vah Ruta was genuinely, immensely impressive, and as they crested the trail onto the edge of the reservoir, she understood why so many people came to see it. The mighty machine was shaped as an elephant, occasionally trumpeting out before it released a torrent of water from its trunk, or took a lumbering step forwards in the water. Faint, teal lights dotted the length of its frame, glowing with the ancient energies that powered it, and true to his words, amongst the stars reflected on the surface of the vast lake, they twinkled magnificently.
It was all that Shadi could do to manage a breathless wow in amazement. Few things in this world could leave her speechless, and this was undoubtedly one of them. At a distance, the divine beasts were imposing, awe inspiring and seemed massive, but one truly couldn't appreciate the scale and detail until they had seen such a creation up close. The simple fact that such an enormous undertaking could move and provide such a boon to the Zora was simply breathtaking, and Shadi just stared in awe for several long moments.
"Come on, there's a spot on the shore with some seats if they're not all taken... It's popular around this time." Zaroon spoke as he led her excitedly by the paw along the dam, heading along a small pier located about midway across the structure.
There were many people there from numerous races of Hyrule, single adventurers and explorers, and couples enjoying the evening together. They found a spot that was not too crowded at the end of the pier, sitting down together with their legs hanging over the edge, just above the water.
Shadi at once pulled out her new journal and the pencils, opening to the first blank page. Quickly and quietly, her eyes set in focus, she began drawing, scraping the new lead over the blank canvas in her lap. Zanoor just watched her with a contented smile. Mipha had always taught him that charity could bring the greatest joy, and in that, the Champion had been undeniably correct. Just seeing a smile on Shadi's muzzle had been more than worth it, and despite himself, he found it contagious. His own smile stretched from end to end of his lips on his sharkish, streamlined features.
He reached back, rubbing at his dorsal fin along his spine as he watched her draw. She was invigorated, rejuvenated, and her gaze was set with steely determination as she dragged the pencil across paper, stopping only to resharpen the point when it grew dull and she needed detail between the occasional break for a few bites of food.
Eventually, he took to just feeding her himself so that she didn't need to break her concentration, and by the time both bowls were once again empty, it was finished, covering the entirety of the page, every last minute detail captured by her paw, from the smallest decoration to the twinkling of the stars in the reflection of the lake.
She sat back, sighing, content with her work at last, the little feline wriggling all too happily with herself.
"Thank you again Zaroon... Sorry for earlier." She finally apologized, but he batted one fin dismissively, uttering a friendly laugh.
"If I'd have gone through that kind of loss, I would have wanted to be alone as well. I know I did just after the calamity, but, they say her spirit still lingers with Vah Ruta, keeping watch over those of us who are still here, and ensuring the divine beast never falls to evil again." He smiled wistfully out across the lake to the lumbering form of Vah Ruta on the far end of the reservoir.
Shadi paused, setting the book and her pencils down as she scooted a little closer to the Zora.
"You really liked her, didn't you?"
"Aye... Loved her even. More than I ever told anyone else, but I could never tell her. I don't think for a moment she was fooled by my denials though. If anybody in the world knew my secret, it was her... I think she saw how her affection for the Hylian pained me though, and after a time, she tried to let me down gently, but matters of the heart are rarely such..." He gave a drawn out sigh, propping his chin on his hands with his elbows on his knees, his slender, fin heeled feet skimming the surface of the water.
"I'm sure there's someone for you. All things work out in the end after all. If it's not the end of my story, it's not the end of yours either." She cheerfully smiled, leaning over to place a gentle peck on his cheek as she lifted herself up to reach him. Perhaps there was something she could do to help lift both their spirits tonight...
"Thank you for caring for me... I know it's no small thing, but even so..."
"Please, that is my job after all-" He tried to dismiss the thanks behind his modesty, but Shadi shut it down in an instant, continuing over him.
"And I'm sure Mipha wouldn't have wanted you wasting such a fine night moping over what was or might have been rather than what joys you might find in the moment. Life is for the living after all, right?"
He turned, meeting her gaze with a curious raising of the ridge above one of his eyes.
"No... She would have wanted for me to be happy... And to enjoy the momen- Where are you going with this?" His tone shifted from melancholy, to playfully suspicious, like somebody just catching onto the fact that their leg was being pulled.
"Wanna go for a swim?" She fluttered her tail in the direction of the lake as she undid her robe, letting the silky material pour off her shoulders like the waterfalls the surrounded Zora's domain in the basin behind them. His eyes widened, cheeks reddening.
"Shadi, I hardly- In the reservoir? You can't be-"
Shadi growled, rolling her eyes as she grabbed him by the shoulders.
"Gods above you men can be dense." She grumbled, and gripping him tightly, threw them together off the end of the pier and into the water with her superior weight.
Silence enveloped her, but surprisingly, the water here was oddly warm, not at all chilled as she had been preparing herself for. She floated in the dim moonlight that filtered through the surface of the water, giving Zanoor a cattish grin as she floated in the deep, her paws still gripping his shoulders.
He breathed in through his gills, fixing her with a less than impressed gaze as his arms and legs moved, the long fins on them slicing through the water to maintain his position evenly.
"Fine." He began, his voice faint and distorted as bubbles rose from his mouth. "You want to swim? Lets swim!"
A grin shot across his lips, teeth flashing as he took his turn the grab her, pulling her tightly against his chest. Shadi squealed underwater in delight, before remembering herself and holding her breath again as he pushed her over, and with a swift kick of his powerful flukes, set them racing through the water.
Shadi couldn't help the giddy grin as his body moved against her, powerful muscles working hard beneath his smooth, sleek skin as she traced her paws over his chest while he carried her in his arms. She loved to swim, sure, but this was swimming like she could could only have dreamed of.
His arms wrapped around her, keeping her head against his pectorals as he made a sharp, zagging turn to narrowly avoid one of the divine beasts legs in the water ahead of them, rolling with her as he pulled off the maneuver without loosing a single bit of his forward momentum. The graceful Zora kicking hard again as he pushed them smoothly forward with each stroke of his flukes.
Shadi's paw roamed south down his chest, tracing the sharp, defined outline of his torso before she lay her palm gently across his waist, her fingers inching her paw towards what she was after. She could feel the thin slit in his skin, and in time with each push of his hips to propel them forwards, she rubbed across the sensitive flesh that was beginning to pinken with the beginnings of arousal.
She felt his shaft as it pushed out into the water, sleek and narrowly tappered, exotically streamlined just like the rest of him, but it quickly thickened with each thrust, filling out her palm until her fingers couldn't wrap all the way around at the base. The slender pink girth rubbed against the wet fur of her chest, the tip coming level just between her breasts when he drove forward with his tail.
She stroked him with her paws quickly, his own fingers digging into her back as he reacted to her touch, and leaning forward, she pressed her soft breasts against his abs, tilting her head down so that she could take the tip in her mouth, suckling around it as she caressed him with her tongue.
Still focusing (or at least pretending to) on swimming, Zaroon groaned above her, a stream of bubbles passing his lips as he humped more frantically, his length twitching and throbbing between her lips as she felt him nearing his peak, and not a minute to soon.
"Ahhh! Shadi!" He moaned into the depths as he went rigid in her mouth, his prick pulsing hard as the first jet of hot Zora cum splashed like a hose against the back of her throat, catching her off guard, but it just kept coming! His thrusts didn't stop, pushing his tip into the back of her throat until she felt like he was going to gag her with the force of his orgasm, the semi-sweet taste of his cum coating her tongue all the way down the back of her throat.
Her lungs were burning by the time his orgasm finally subsided, his thrusts slowing as his cock retreated back into its protective home, and frantically, Shadi blew bubbles from her nose, looking for the surface. It rippled what seemed like a very, very long way above her, the moon's light glistening on the faraway surface. Just how far down had he taken her!
In an instant, Zaroon was in front of her, bringing his face level with her own. He leaned in, and without hesitation, liplocked with her, pressing his tongue against her lips in a demanding insistence she open them.
More out of habit than reflex, Shadi parted her lips to let him do as he wished, and the next thing she felt was a slippery tongue cleaning her muzzle and wrestling with her own, sharing his flavor messily between them. A great lungful of air filled her chest, and she blinked, quickly catching on to what he was doing. He had a knowing look in his eyes as he pulled back, grinning, before he leaned in, kissing her again and supplying her with a fresh breath of life.
They stayed like that for a few long moments, floating in the depths barely twenty feet from the bottom, his fins keeping them level at this depth. He made a gesture that Shadi didn't catch, and pulled away as she tilted her head, confused.
Rather than explaining, he simply grabbed her by the waist, and pushed himself down, and a moment later, Shadi understood just what he was doing as his sleek, pointed face nestled between her thighs. A small stream of bubbles escaped her nose as she squeaked at that first contact, his maw opening to simply engulf her womanhood in his mouth, spreading over her sex while he looked up at her mismatched eyes over her hips.
His tongue went to work, and Shadi knew that if she drowned because of this, it was worth it. Groaning out carefully so as not to let a single drop of air escape her, she shuddered from her tail to her ears as he flicked that rough muscle over her clit. To Shadi, it like being struck by a pleasurable bolt of lightning, and held down simultaneously. He grabbed her thighs with his massive hands, pulling her down and simultaneously driving his tongue into her practically dripping kitty box, aroused by her flavor and licking deeper still to get his fill.
Her paws found the fin on his head, gripping it tightly for dear life as he ate her like a predator going after easy prey. His body felt powerful under her, and she could feel her insides writhing with pleasure as his tongue fought its way deeper, lapping over her inner g-spot.
The moment he did, any semblance of control she had was gone as he realized the effect it had, and abused it to the fullest, alternating his tongue between looping about her clit and plundering her depths. She popped like a cork, shamelessly opening her mouth as she moaned, a long stream of bubbles leaving her as she let herself go on the Shark's jaws, floating droplets of feline honey clinging to the Zora's skin and mouth alike.
Quick to react as Shadi moaned out the last of her oxygen, he pulled himself back up her frame, kissing her deeply as he replenished her supply. Shadi kissed him back hungrily, ignoring his attempts to save her for just a moment as she let him know just how she felt about what he'd done to her body, and just what else she wanted him to do. She wrapped her legs around his waist, grinding the warmth of her feline treasure across the deep red skin surrounding his genital slit.
He didn't hesitate, rolling his hips as he kicked them back into motion, his lips pressed warmly to Shadi's, their eyes meeting as he gave his flukes a mighty stroke.
In that instant, Shadi moaned into his mouth, loudly. He slid into her tight passage effortlessly, going right from his own slit to hers without ever touching the water between them. She was flush against him, and felt every delightful inch as he drove himself home, the slender tip kissing her cervix and beyond as he hilted himself, leaving her deliciously stretched around his base and full to the brim.
Then he started thrusting, and her vision exploded into stars as she lost herself in his embrace for a second time. Her body clenched around him, trying to hold him deep, but his prick was moving inside of her, twisting as if with a mind of its own, the Zora using the prehensile tip to abuse her pleasure receptors to the fullest. Zaroon sighed in bliss, rocking himself with the feline, thrusting with powerful strokes of his flukes that pushed them through the water faster still, adding another element to their already desperate tempo.
Shadi for her part lost track of herself somewhere between the second and fifth climax, the constant, forcefull and rough breeding driving his tip to her very core, touching depths previously unexplored, and raking her body with the pleasures that only a Zora could provide as he spread her sex apart with the thick base of his prick, keeping himself hilted even as his cock continued to thrust within her. That base never moved, like he was locked in her with a deathgrip, but the top half of him had a mind of its own, twisting and writhing like a tendril of pleasure inside of her.
He humped hard, the thrusts rapidly loosing any coordination as his already sensitive shaft churned up another fresh batch of seed, his internal testes getting ready to breed the woman he was riding like a jockey.
"Ah, Gods... Shadi, I'm not gonna-" He pulled away from her to moan into the water, but Shadi just as quickly wrapped a paw around the back of his head, the other grabbing him at the base of his tail, a firm pawfull of toned Zora ass, and gave him no doubts as to what she wanted him to do to her. She pulled him in, kissing him deeply as she moaned into their embrace, rocking her hips quickly back against his own, inner muscles trying to pull him deeper still.
The tip of his prehensile penis pierced her cervix like an arrow, the head squirming and tickling across the inside of her womb as he started to gyrate his hips in an almost frenzied pace, rapidly building himself up to his peak. With a shrill whistle of pleasure, he came, and what a glorious finish it was!
Shadi gripped Zaroon tightly to herself, afraid for just a moment he was going to buck her off and leave her floating when she felt it. The way he went entirely rigid within her, little tremors inside of her womb building up to quaking pulses that blasted the back of her womb with warmth, painting her insides with his essence as he tried by force to leave the next generation of his kind in her belly.
He filled her completely and utterly, a sensational peak that left Shadi breathless, and Zaroon panting through his gills, quickly stroking his flukes to draw out the last of his climax and push them quickly towards the surface. He breached and rolled onto his back, floating just above the rippling water with Shadi laying exhaustedly on his chest, the feline taking her first breaths of actual fresh air in what felt like a good half hour.
Gently, and with almost lazy strokes of his fins, he slowly guided them towards the far shoreline, collapsing in the shallows of a large, smooth rock.
"That was...." He started, but the words to adequately describe the experience escaped him utterly. Shadi for her part just nodded in agreement, her wet tail flopping about in a pleasure drunk daze. Her belly was still warm with his seed and her afterglow, and gently, she leaned over, pecking his cheek.
"Feeling better?" She teased, poking his still panting chest with a quiet giggle.
He grumbled something inaudible to her waterlogged ears, and pushed her over onto the rock so could straddle her and keep her quiet another way, parting her thighs as he took her again, their lips locked in a passionate, feral kiss of lust.
Quiet was the last thing anyone would have described the reservoir as that night. Evidently, two animals enjoying the season were making rather the racket long into the wee hours of the morning.
"So mister 'Needed a good night to get his life in order.', where do you think you'll go from here?" Shadi asked with a soft, seductive purr as Zaroon finished packing his things, a new spring in his step as he got ready for what sounded like the next big adventure in his life. She was still naked, and still dripping for his excitement and enthusiasm... and stamina this morning, the light silk bed sheet barely doing anything to conceal her curvy, voluptuous figure sprawled out on his bedspread, still laying where he'd fucked her into it last night.
Oh, she was sore, and probably would be for days. but he had needed it, and after her own losses, she needed it as well to forget, accept, and move on with her own journey, just as he had come to realize he needed to as well.
"Well, I hear Tarrey Town to the north is developing quickly... Some good views, a nice big lake to dive into... Plus, they don't have a properly trained healer yet. I figure I'll take up the role, and see where the trail leads me." He smiled over his shoulder, still only wearing the simply silver 'belt' around his waist. The entire front of his lower torso was still glowing pink after the sun had risen, and Shadi had been damned sure to drain him dry...
"Perhaps your trail and mine will cross again while your filling that up-" He motioned to her new journal, now containing several very artistic renditions of the Zora form and its courtship rituals, along with a few sketches of Zaroon while he had been laid out on the bed, basking in afterglow...
"...and I'll have a chance to show you all my new favorite spots there. What about you? You can use my place to stay while you're here if you want..."
Shadi batted a paw, giggling.
"I'm not going to become a furniture fixture for you to come back too." She grinned, poking her tongue out at him. "And besides. I can't breath under water... Maybe another week, two at most, and then I want to head down the coast line."
"So no death mountain?"
"As much as I love being warm, no. No death mountain. I don't expect my fur and heat enough to burn anything not coated in fire-lizard oil to cinders would get along, and I'm not greasing myself up just to burn up for a book, which would also need to be oiled if I wanted anyone else to ever read it." She protested. The idea had been tempting, but sound logic had won that argument rather swiftly.
"Well, perhaps if you do end up that way, you could swing by for a visit." He sounded hopeful, and she wasn't about to shoot that down for him. She really had no plans to go further north than this, and even if she did, Tarrey town would likely be the limit of her travels.
"Perhaps..." She mused, swishing her tail as she rolled over onto her front, raising her hips and that long, silky furred tail just enough to tease him with the pearly white droplets leaking from her well fucked sex.
"Shadi..." He groaned, rolling his eyes as he sauntered over, before placing a soft kiss upon her cheek.
"Thank you." He smiled with a newfound appreciation for the feline.
"No, thank you... You needed to learn how to move on, and I needed to get back to my work... Books can be rewritten after all. It'll just take time. And your story, and mine, are both far from over." She purred, rolling on to her back before she propped herself up on the pillows, watching as he hefted his own traveling pack up onto his strong shoulders.
She'd already met so many good people on this trip... So, perhaps the gods did know just why she was here, even if she herself wasn't privy to that purpose.
"So... I suppose this is it then." Zaroon nodded, doing a quick double take. "Without you, I doubt I'd have ever gotten on with my life... I've spent far too many years feeling trapped here by obligation, rather than doing what Mipha would have wanted for me... So, I'm going to go, and I'm going to make something of myself."
Shadi couldn't help a chuckle. "You go get 'em tiger. Show the world who's boss, and when we meet again, you can show me just who's boss again." She added with a sultry wink, his finned tail swishing as he watched her.
"I think I'll do just that... I wish you the best on your journey. It was a pleasure meeting you." The Zora grinned, giving a low, formal bow before he turned, pushing past the curtain doorway only to hear Shadi calling as he left.
"It'll be even better next time!" She laughed, before finally letting herself flop back onto the bed, sprawling out as she relaxed into the soft, Rito down filled mattress.
She'd already lost two weeks healing, but now... She felt renewed, not as pressured. It wasn't like she -had- to have a time constraint on this adventure of her's after all. Sure, she'd only planned for two or three months at most, but now...
Well, perhaps stopping to smell the roses was the best thing she could do. First of all though, she grinned, reaching over to grab her journal, and start jotting down her notes on last night.
I'm going to need more paper to fit all of this...
