Rumors Flying Around
It was six in the morning; a time where everyone in Winnipeg was sound asleep before their alarms blared to signal the beginning of another day. However, for the two panda siblings, this was the perfect time to have some fun.
Inside Xun's room, he was busy slamming his eight inch ebony cock balls deep inside his brother's ass; his fur covered in sweat from the routine, but he didn't complain. He was glad he had thought of muffling and locking the room beforehand so none of the noise they were making could wake and alert their parents.
"Ohhh yeahh...breed me, big bro." Justin breathed out with another loud moan escaping him, his own fur covered in sweat as well, their combined body heat and over empowering musk radiating around the room from their intense fuck session.
Xun didn't say a word, his focus being entirely on pounding his brother's tight ass. He squeezed the plump, round cheeks hard, his panting growing more and more labored, his cock pumping in and out faster. He wasn't going to last much longer, his pent up balls aching for sweet release, thanks to Justin teasing him the whole ride home.
The young panda let out another moan as he felt an ass cheek get slapped. He turned his head over his shoulder to gaze at his big brother, loving how he looked at that very moment; satisfied and happy. Despite the lust, there was love in Xun's eyes, a love that couldn't be broken. Not only this, but there was an unshakeable bond between them now.
Soon, Justin felt his prostate being immensely massaged and found himself putting his head down, gripping the sheets hard. He could feel Xun's cock swelling, a sign that he was ready to explode. "Nnngh! Don't hold back, big bro...let it out!" He said, his own body on the verge of climaxing without touching himself.
Xun huffed with the beginnings of a smile spreading on his lips as he fucked the warm hole that was slick and wet from the amount of pre cum that was spurting out and inside the inner walls. He was trying to hold off on orgasming, but with how good he felt and the ever increasing volume of lewd noises they made, he couldn't any longer. So with one final thrust, he quickly leaned forward and wrapped his brother in a tight and warm embrace, letting out a roar of pleasure as he unloaded deep inside of him.
Being filled with love and warmth, it didn't take long for Justin to join his brother, shooting four thick loads onto the sheets below them. He groaned at the touch of a big paw gripping his cock and pumping it to try and milk all of what he was worth. "H-hey...stop that...I'm sensitive."
In response to that, Xun simply used a free paw to turn his sibling's head toward himself and deeply kissed him, all the while still humping into his filled bottom, causing some of the cum to spill out and drip down to Justin's balls. Not like either of them cared for cleaning up at the very moment anyway. The kiss lasted for a good moment before he pulled away, still smiling with a dreamy expression on his face. "You like it, otherwise you would have pulled my paw away." He said with a lewd growl, his humps starting to get faster.
Justin blushed and groaned. "I do...and I can feel you getting hard again. But as much as I want to have another round...we have school." He responded in between pants, feeling himself getting riled up once more due to the sensual ministrations.
Hearing that, Xun stopped what he was doing and looked over to his alarm clock, which read 6:45 am; it was almost time. Letting out a small sigh, he slipped himself out and gently brought both of their bodies down onto the bed, on their sides. Still holding onto Justin, he brought him closer and nuzzled the back of his neck. "I'll enjoy our afterglow then with much snuggling."
Justin giggled as he nestled himself into the embrace. "I wouldn't mind that at all."
And with that, the two siblings remained together on the bed, chatting about school and life in general until the alarm clock blared its usual noise, telling them it was time to get dressed and get ready for another day.
"Time to put on my uniform..." Justin sighed and sat up, resulting in letting go before getting completely off of the bed to slip on his underwear. Turning to regard Xun, who was beginning to sit up, he went over to give him a quick kiss on the lips. "I love you...and I'm glad we did this. Really."
Xun snorted with a roll of his eyes and smiled at the young panda. "After not only teasing me, but convincing me too." He said with a chuckle, then started to laugh after noticing Justin's cheeks flushing and bringing his head down in shame. "Don't worry, I enjoyed it! And I love you too...besides," he reached out to grab and squeeze his ass, "you got a nice butt."
"U-Umm...thanks...I'm glad you approve." Justin responded, his cheeks and the very tips of his round ears burning an even brighter red. It was always a pleasure for Xun to tease and see his sibling like this.
"Always." Xun gave a wink, then flicked a wrist at his bedroom door, unlocking it and releasing the spell he had placed.
Justin nodded in approval and made his way out, but before he could even make a step, one of his wrists was grabbed. Surprised, he turned and saw the other panda wearing a serious and pained expression. "Whoa, what's wrong?"
For a long moment, Xun didn't say anything; only stared, his green eyes locking with amber. He didn't even realize his brother's slight discomfort until after noticing him visibly fidgeting and tugging. Quickly did he let go and apologize, ears flicking back.
Confusion showed on Justin's features as he tilted his head. "It's okay...but seriously, what's wrong? You seem upset about something."
Xun opened his mouth, then snapped it shut, his mind replaying Jake's words from yesterday. It truly struck a chord within him because he vowed to be there for his little brother no matter what. And knowing that he couldn't do enough to keep him safe was tearing him up on the inside. He quickly shook his head in frustration and looked up at Justin again. "I'm going to protect you at all costs."
"Huh? But you already do that." Justin quirked a brow, his confusion becoming more and more apparent.
"I know, but...it's not enough." Xun tore his gaze away, then made a fist with one of his paws. He was angry at Jake, but mostly at himself for not being the protective sibling he claimed himself to be. That was going to change. No sooner did the emotion surface, did it vanish and a soft sigh escaped after un-balling his fist. When he looked back, he could see his brother trying to say something, but couldn't get anything out. "Just know that I'll always be here for you, okay?"
"O...kay...I will? Anyway, I'm gonna go and get dressed. You should do the same." The young panda stated with a smile as he looked Xun up and down before padding over to the door and letting himself out.
Now left alone, Xun did his daily morning routine and got dressed in his uniform. As he stared at his reflection, a beaming smile began to show. 'I may have messed up, but I AM going to protect him and everyone I love!'
Suddenly, David popped his head into the room and knocked on the wall, alerting the panda of his presence. After receiving a small nod did he come inside, smiles and all. "Hey there, son. You doing alright?"
Xun turned away from the mirror with a slight tilt of his head. "Yeah, I'm fine. Why do you ask?"
"What, I can't check up on my children now? You don't want me to do my job as a responsible parent?" David teased with a mischievous smirk, making the other panda's eyes become wide like saucers and wave his paws in a frantic manner. "I'm kidding! But really, how's being back at school going for you? Anyone giving you trouble?"
Xun sighed in relief. "Jeez, don't scare me like that! But no...not really. Well, save for Kota, but he's not that much of a threat." He cupped his chin in thought for a moment, the gears in his head turning until his face brightened up. "Oh, yeah! I made two friends. Well, technically one...anyway, you and mom already met him, which was quite a few years ago and the other is a fresh face."
David quirked a brow, seemingly interested in the news. "Is that so? Hmm...someone we've seen years ago..." The old man cupped his own chin, his eyes focused on the floor, thinking hard.
"If it helps," Xun piped up with a smile, "he's a white lion."
"What?!" David exclaimed, his eyes becoming wide. "Really? Rowen came back? That's wonderful! I'll have to get in contact with his parents...which will be soon." He cupped his chin again and rubbed it a little, then snapped his fingers. "Ah, the other person!"
Xun rubbed the back of his head. "Oh yeah, that's-" he stopped in mid sentence as Justin came into the room and beckoned him with a motion of his arm. "Sorry dad, gotta go. I'll tell you more later." He grabbed the rest of his things and headed out of his bedroom, then stopped and looked over his shoulder as he heard his name being called. "Yeah?"
"Just letting you know that all of us are going to have a talk later on. We know what the two of you did." David said with the beginning of another smirk, watching the two boys freeze in place and break into a cold sweat. There was a glint in his eyes that spoke of danger.
"I--We..." Justin started off in a stutter, but no other words spilled out due to a paw being clamped over his mouth. Startled, he looked up to see that it was his brother's doing.
"Alright dad, we're going!" Xun bid his farewells and hurried out of the house, dragging his little brother with him. Now outside, he looked down at the young panda, who seemed very nervous. "Sorry about that. Now I know what you're thinking, but--"
"They heard us..." Justin said in an almost inaudible whisper, then gazed up at the older sibling with fear in his eyes. "They heard everything, Xun! They know! Oh, gods..." He whined, covering his face with his paws.
In an instant, Xun hugged him to calm him down. "Whoa, whoa, whoa...hey now, it's alright. There's no way they could know that. Did you already forget the spell I placed?"
As soon as that was mentioned, Justin heavily groaned and sank himself into his brother's chest. "I'm such a dummy sometimes." He gave a sigh and let himself out of the embrace, then cupped his chin. "But if it's not that, then what was he referring to?"
"Beats me." Xun shrugged his shoulders and the two walked over to his car before climbing inside. "I wouldn't worry about it though. Did mom say anything?" He asked after the young panda got into the passenger seat and put on his seat belt.
"No, not really. All she said was that if anything troubles us, they'll be around to listen and help in any way they can." Justin replied with a satisfied smile. "Honestly, we're lucky to have parents like them. They care and want what's best for us."
"Yeah...makes me glad and grateful." Xun smiled and slipped on his seat belt before revving the engine to life and driving down the road. "We're even more lucky to attend this school, given how much tuition costs."
Justin gave a huff of annoyance, folding his arms across his chest. "Don't even mention that! I hate hearing how much money it takes to be in this private school. It's too much..."
And he was right; Crestridge Academy is known to be not only one of the top five academic schools, but also the most expensive and prestigious in the country. Many parents that are middle to high class want their children to attend and succeed, despite the amount. The uniforms that they wore were roughly four thousand and each year, going up to senior was forty four thousand each, totaling up to one hundred and eighty thousand.
Not many could afford such a price, but luckily their mother has a high paying job, otherwise the two of them would never have been able to be attend, let alone be a middle class family. Sure, their father has his bakery business but he only makes just enough to be at the bare minimum and then some.
"It is, and we're fortunate enough to even go here. And since we're on the topic...what day is it today?" Xun asked and got a flat stare. "Hey, don't give me that look! Sometimes I forget to check my phone...and calendar in my room."
"It's Friday, you dork. The ninth of September." Justin replied with a roll of his eyes. "What's so important that you're bringing it up all of a sudden?"
"Nothing, really. Just that we're going to the mall, remember? Either tomorrow or Sunday." A smile was upon the panda's lips at the thought of going with Rowen and having his own feelings be heard and felt. "I can't wait."
As the two of them conversed on what they were planning to do, they were inside of the parking lot. After climbing out and shutting the doors closed, they headed into the building. But just as they entered through the double doors, all eyes immediately fell upon them and the halls that were filled with laughter and cacophony moments ago quickly became silent. Something was clearly wrong.
"What's going on?" Justin whispered as her met their stares, then looked up at his brother in confusion. "Why is everyone staring at us?"
Xun could only shake his head. "I don't know, but I don't like it." He frowned, then noticed out of the corner of his eye that Gwen and the others were coming up to the two of them. "Do any of you know what's going on here?"
The ferret opened her mouth to answer, but then the whispers started, fingers pointing not at Xun but at Justin. And it grew louder with each passing second. Soon, the halls became a cacophony again, but not in the usual way of things. She frowned, then sighed before giving the young panda a sympathetic look. "Apparently one or a few students witnessed what happened yesterday, and...you know how rumors start and spread..."
"And as for who started this, we don't know," Rowen chimed in with a shake of his head, "but this needs to get resolved soon."
"Freak!" Someone in the crowd suddenly shouted, following it up with others spewing out derogatory slurs and telling the panda to go back to where he belonged.
Damien snarled and faced the crowd, fists balled up. "Come on out and say that again! I dare you!"
Both Cameron and Jake placed a paw on the riled up husky's shoulders to hold him back. It took a moment for him to calm down, but eventually he did with a heavy sigh.
The crowd became louder, growing violent with each passing second.
Justin was visibly shaking in fear. "I...I..." He stuttered, failing to get a word out as tears began to well up in his eyes, threatening to fall down his cheeks. However, just as he was ready to burst out sobbing, he felt a paw on his shoulder. Surprised, he looked up to see his big brother beside him.
"Don't worry, I'm here. Like I said earlier, I'll protect you no matter what." Xun said with a smile as he looked down at the young panda, hoping this would be enough to reassure him. As he turned back to the crowd, he frowned. "I'm surprised none of the staff are here to--"
"Hey! Settle down!" A strong, bassy voice called out, causing two things to happen; one, making the students immediately grow quiet and second, causing Xun to groan in dismay. Almost as if a celebrity was making a grand entrance, the various furs cleared themselves to opposite ends of the hall to make a straight pathway. And standing there in the middle of it, was a male cougar who seemed to be about Rowen's height and build, for he was quite muscular and it showed through his suit. He strolled through the crowd, a cocky grin on his muzzle. "Now I know we're not going to bash and hate one of our own fellow brethren here, are we? We're not here to ridicule someone just because they're different?" All eyes were on him now.
Gwen pinched the bridge of her nose. "Oh, gods...why him? Why now?"" She whispered with a shake of her head.
Confusion settling on his features, Rowen looked at Xun, then the cat and back again before lowering his voice. "Forgive me, but who is he?"
"I'll tell you once this jackass is done and gone." Xun answered flatly, his expression matching with what he was feeling at the moment. He was glad that everything came to a halt, otherwise things would have escalated, but he would rather have anyone else other than the one who was making his way toward them.
The speech continued. "No, because this young man is just like the rest of you. And although these rumors have reached my ears, whether they're true or false, he is one of us." He came up close to the two pandas and gave a wink before turning to the crowd. "Are there any objections?" He inquired, seemingly hopeful someone would challenge him. However, there was not a single peep and his grin grew more wide. "Good, because the show's over!"
A mass of grumbles and sucking of teeth rang about the atmosphere. However, the sea of bodies soon began to disperse to their respective classes and the halls became clear, save for a few lingering around.
"Umm, thanks for saving me." Justin said and bowed his head to show his gratitude.
One of the mountain lion's ears flicked. "Hmm?" He looked back to regard the young panda with an eyebrow raised, confused for a moment until realization kicked in. "Oh, you're the kid everyone's talking about! Maaaan, you got everyone buzzing! And it's no prob, lil' cutie." He chuckled and gave a sly wink, causing Justin to blush and look away. A death glare from Damien was sent his way, but it was quickly ignored as he was more focused on Xun.
Xun sighed, trying not to groan again, but it was hard when dealing with such an arrogant asshole. "James, cut it out. He's my brother. Now what the hells do you want?"
"Yin Yang! Nice to see you too, stud." James went to give a hug, but was stopped dead in his tracks by a paw to the chest. "Aww, come on! I save your brother's ass and this is the thanks I get? And no introduction either? Damn you're ungrateful...heh, but that's what I like about you."
Gwen stepped in between the two and jabbed a finger hard into the cougar's stomach. "Look, we're grateful for what you did here but seriously, get lost or I'll make you."
James chuckled. "Oh, yeah? You really want to try that? Do you forget I'm the son of a police chief and the principal's nephew?" A grin split his lips as he watched the ferret back up a few steps, then turned his attention back to Xun. "So, about our date..."
"Excuse me?!" Rowen was a blur of white as he grabbed the collar of James' uniform and slammed him against the lockers. "Say that again, I dare you." He growled. This display of action surprised everyone, due to how he was always calm and collected.
Before anything could get worse, Jacob cleared his throat to gain everyone's attention. "As much as I would like to know about our newcomer here," he glared at the cougar for a moment, his eyes cold, then turned to the others, "let's not forget that we're in school and on school grounds."
Damien clutched his head in frustration. "Crap, you're right! It's almost time for first period to start! Come on, Justin, we got your back." He grabbed hold of the young panda's paw, holding onto it tight, then walked down the halls with Cameron beside him. "See you all later!" He shouted out, giving the cougar a final glare.
After seeing his brother give a wave before disappearing around a corner, Xun sighed in annoyance. "Let him go, Rowen. Trust me, he's not worth it...and Jake's right." It wounded him to say that, but it was the truth. The few students that stayed around were watching, waiting for a fight to happen, waiting for more drama. If anything were to happen, the lion wouldn't hear the end of it and his reputation would be ruined.
Rowen held onto the cougar, his muzzle inches away from the other until finally letting go with a grumble.
"There, now was that so hard?" James dusted off his uniform and straightened it, which made everyone roll their eyes. After doing do, he came up close to the panda, still smiling like nothing had happened. "So yin yang, I deserve some sort of reward." He said, then cupped his chin, pondering for a moment. "Hmm...now what would that be...ah! How about a kiss?"
"What?!" Xun exclaimed, taken aback by what he had just heard. Was this guy serious? Did he really think that this was okay? "Yeah, no. The only thing you're getting is my thanks and--mmph!" He stopped in mid sentence as the back of his head was grabbed and his lips collided with the cougar's. All at once his emotions swirled, but the main three he was really feeling at the moment was surprise, confusion and anger.
Rowen snarled with much intensity and ferocity, looking ready to snap the other feline in half or worse. The only thing keeping him back from doing so was what James had mentioned.
This lasted for a few moments, James purring in delight until it was interrupted by the panda pushing him away. Despite the slight aggression, he licked his lips. "Better and sweeter than I imagined." He chuckled, long tail swaying lazily behind him.
Gwen scoffed in disgust, clearly not amused in the slightest at the guy's behavior and attitude. "You do realize that was borderline sexual assault, right?" She stated, her tail lashing like a whip.
The cougar simply shrugged, not at all seeming to care about the consequences of his actions. "So what? My dad would bail me out anyway, and yin yang here enjoyed it. Didn't you?" He inquired with his cocky smirk coming back with a vengeance.
Xun gritted his teeth, his body visibly shaking with rage. He wanted so badly to sucker punch him square in the jaw and give him a major black eye or two. He was furious, yet despite this, his cheeks and the tips of his ears burned something fierce; it was embarrassing to say the least. "Just...go already...please."
"As you wish, hot stuff." James said with a bow, then turned on his heels and walked off down the halls, whistling merrily. "Oh yeah, don't forget we have a date!" He shouted out in the halls, making sure he was loud enough so everyone could hear.
"I swear, one of these days, life is going to kick him so hard in the ass and I can't wait for that to happen." Gwen said after watching the cougar disappear, her left foot rapidly. "I can't believe he did that!"
"If I ever see that bloody wanker again, I'll shove my foot so far up his arse, he won't sit right for weeks!" Rowen growled, not realizing his british accent fully coming out until it was too late. Everyone stared at him, their brows raised with curiosity. "Ah, sorry, he just really ticked me off."
"An arrogant mortal that deserves to have his head be put on a spike." Jake said, his usual light tone of voice being a few octaves lower and deeper. He sounded completely different, almost as if someone else was speaking. "Despicable."
Gwen winced from the harsh words, and she wasn't the only one. "That's going just a little too far isn't it? Also, I think you might be hitting puberty a little too late there." She commented with a giggle.
The shepherd's ears perked up before his whole body turned and tilted his head in confusion. "What?" He seemed genuinely confused as to what she was referring to.
"Nothing." She shook her head, then gazed at Xun with sympathy in her eyes. "I feel really bad for your brother right now, having to endure this."
Rowen nodded, sharing her sadness and empathy. "It's tough when you attract the wrong kind of attention. And then there's that asshat, who I refuse to acknowledge!" He grit his teeth, growling once more before stopping himself and taking a deep breath to calm his nerves.
"It seems the two of you will have a rough day ahead." Jake let out a soft sigh and crossed his arms over his chest. "I do hope this issue gets sorted out, for your sake and your sibling."
Xun smiled warmly at his friends, their support making him feel a whole lot better about the situation at hand. "I hope so too, and thanks guys, I needed that. Now I'll make this quick since class starts soon, but that guy was James Hawthorn. Openly gay, cocky attitude, a full on jock, really popular guy and has a high social status."
"And not only that," Gwen chimed in, "but his father really is chief here in the winnipeg police department and his uncle is the principal so...yeah, if anyone were to harm him in any way, there is not only immediate expulsion to worry about, but possible jail time. Basically untouchable."
Rowen let out a heavy sigh. "So he's protected in and out of school grounds thanks to a corrupted family that more than likely sees him as nothing but a golden child. Lovely..."
Jake shook his head, his brows furrowed as he frowned. "I despise people who abuse their power. It sickens me." He huffed, then turned around and began walking. "But as much as I would like to continue this conversation, I don't want to be late. I'll see you all at lunch!"
"See ya!" Xun shouted out to the dog who was already a good distance away before turning a corner. "Well, let's get this day over with. Umm, Gwen what's wrong?" He asked as he noticed the ferret fuming.
"You never told me what happened! You promised!" She raised her foot to stomp him, then thought better of it and sighed.
"O-oh...I forgot. My bad, hehe." He rubbed the back of his head, smiling a nervous smile. He really did forget to text her all of the details on what happened the day prior. "I'll tell you on our way to class." That seemed to cheer her up immediately, so with that said, the three of them walked through the halls conversating.

Damien tapped his right foot impatiently, trying his best to focus on what Mr. Klowski was teaching but it was becoming hard due to the constant whispers and giggling he was hearing, along with the comments he caught that did not sit well with him at all. It was clear to him right then and there that the cougar's "authority" did little to keep the peace. "I hate today..." he grumbled as his eyes fixated on the clock; it was almost time for lunch.
"Hmph, imagine how the faculty feels having to deal with something like this on a day to day basis." Cameron whispered and then looked over to the panda to check how he was doing. In an instant he frowned, then tore his eyes away. "Don't look and don't react." He warned.
Confused, Damien looked back at his friend, mouthing a 'what?' before the sudden realization hit him. Eyes wide, he whipped his head around to see what he was talking about. Immediately he felt appalled at what he was witnessing. Balled up pieces of paper were being thrown at Justin and he struggled to keep his composure as he tried to do his work. This made the husky's hackles rise and bare his fangs, almost on the verge of letting out a growl. He started to stand up, but stopped himself and sat back down after the teacher turned around and cleared his throat.
Mr. Klowski swept his gaze across the room, his face set in stone. The atmosphere became deathly silent. "Thomas, Bradley and Christopher, the three of you, to the principal's office. Now." He commanded and a grizzly bear, a rabbit and a fox got up from their seats and left the room. With that done, he turned his attention back to the rest of the class. "Let this be a lesson to you all. I will not tolerate misconducted behavior and bullying within my classroom. Is that understood?" A collective 'yes' came from the students and after quieting down did the panther nod, satisfied, then went back to the board.
Letting out a sigh of relief, Damien relaxed himself, but only a little. He had no choice but to keep his guard up in case someone else decided to do something to the panda, whether it would be harmless or not. "I really hate today..." he mumbled with a worried look on his face as he looked back at Justin to see how he was holding up. "Are you okay?" He whispered, hoping that everything was alright.
"Yeah...yeah, I'm fine. Just trying to get through school is all." He replied, his body visibly shaking and voice cracking, yet somehow being able to manage a smile. "I'll be alright. Don't worry yourself to death about me, okay?." It was apparent that he was trying his best to keep himself under control, but was having a tough time in doing so.
Cameron frowned even further, but otherwise didn't utter a single word and went back to working on his notes.
There was no need for anything to be said however, for Damien knew exactly what the cheetah was thinking and wanted so bad to at least comfort the kid, but he couldn't do that as of right now.
Time passed and eventually, the bell signaling for lunch sounded. As everyone began to rush out into the halls, Mr. Klowski spoke up. "Justin, Damien and Cameron, will the three of you stay here for a moment? I wish to speak with you." The three furs all looked at each other, then shrugged and stood at the foot of his desk.
"Did we do something wrong, sir?" The husky inquired nervously, almost immediately breaking into a cold sweat. He never liked dealing with authority figures or confrontation that involved himself.
The panther shook his head, granting relief to the three boys as they all blew a sigh of relief. "Far from it. I merely wish to know if what I heard is true. Believe me, I know rumors are entirely skeptical but one can never know. Now, I hate to ask this because you don't seem to be that kind of person but Justin, did you harm Damien in any way? Because If this is the case, then there will be consequences."
"What? No!" Justin blurted out, disbelief and shock showing on his face at what he had just heard. "I would never hurt him! He's my friend!"
Damien jumped for a quick moment and looked at the panda, his own shock showing before shaking his head and focusing on the teacher. "Yeah, I'm perfectly fine! Look, I can prove it!" He started to take off his blazer.
"Stop!" Mr. Klowski commanded and the husky paused with what he was doing. "I appreciate the effort of honesty but really, there is no need to go that far to prove innocence. However, I do need to take into the account of your friend here. He is a witness after all." He nodded to the cheetah.
"He wouldn't hurt a fly, let alone this guy," Cameron responded with a shrug, "so no, he didn't do anything."
"I see...well then, you are are free to go. Thank you for answering me and providing a tad bit of humor into my life." The panther gave a soft smile and let out a chuckle, then grew serious. "Dismissed."
After leaving the classroom and walking down the halls, Justin suddenly stopped, his body visibly shaking again, making the the other two pause and look back with their brows raised. His gaze traveled down and he seemed to be on the verge of breaking down.
Alarmed, Damien rushed to his side in a heartbeat, but as soon as he came close, he was pushed back. "Whoa, what's wrong?" He asked, confused and hurt by the action.
"I know what I said back there, but it was a lie...we're not friends at all." The panda replied with a sniffle and a sad shake of his head.
"Huh? What the hells are you going on about? Of course we're friends!" He tried once more to comfort him and was again pushed back. "Dammit, Justin! Why are you doing this?" There was silence and he was beginning to get frustrated. "Well?"
More silence and Justin began to look elsewhere rather than at the two boys facing him. Idly did he hold his left arm, standing still like a statue.
Cameron frowned, letting out a huff of annoyance. "Let's just go. Obviously he's just an ungrateful brat that wants to be left alone and have no one but his brother."
"What?" Damien looked over his shoulder at the cheetah in disbelief. "How can you say that?" He growled and shook his head before focusing his attention back to Justin. "Look, I don't care if you go on ahead but I'm not leaving until he tells me what's wrong!"
Cameron sighed softly. "He's not going to tell you, ya mutt! It's pointless to even try right now!" He grabbed the husky's arm and as quickly as contact came, it was yanked away. "Tch..fine, do what you want." His eyes fell upon the panda for a moment, a deeper scowl upon his face, then turned around without another word and walked off.
Damien waited until he could no longer hear footsteps. "Now that we're alone, will you please answer me?" He asked and got a shake of the head, causing him to growl and step forward.
Justin raised his paw again to push the husky away. However, his wrist was quickly grabbed and his back was turned to the wall. Soon, he was being pushed and the wrist became pinned down on the wall behind him. Surprised by the sudden action, he brought his other paw up, only for that one to be caught and pinned down as well. He was trapped. "Let go of me!" He growled and struggled to break free, but it was no use.
"Not until you tell me what's wrong!" Damien snarled back, not at all liking what he was doing, but what other option did he have? He was worried, and wanted answers to why the panda was acting the way he was. "You're my friend and I'm not giving up on you. So please, tell me."
There was silence once again and it lasted for a really long moment. The only sound breaking this was their breathing. Minutes began to pass before finally, a heavy sigh was let out and the panda seemed to calm down. "Fine, I'll tell you but will you let me go first?" He requested, looking up into the husky's sapphire blue eyes that were filled with concern. Hesitation came, but eventually his wrists were free. "Thank you. I...don't know how to say this and it will sound ridiculous, but please, just stop being around me."
"Oh, come on! Are you serious?" Damien snapped, then winced and flicked his ears back. "Sorry...really though, is this whole thing bothering you that bad? Just ignore them! Me and Cameron have your back, like I said."
"No!" Justin violently shook his head and his body began to shake again, his paws curling up into fists. "You heard what they said and they're right! I'm a freak! A monster! I shouldn't be here!" He shouted, his gaze falling down and tears beginning to streak down his face. "I tried to hurt you and everyone else...including my brother. I don't...I don't deserve any of you or anyone..."
After hearing all of that, the husky immediately grabbed Justin and pulled him into a tight hug before letting go to cup his chin, making him look up. "Don't ever say that about yourself ever again, got it? You're a sweet, kind, lovable person who deserves the world...and my soul be damned if I'm going to sit here and let you think otherwise. You didn't hurt me or anyone, so get all of that bull crap out of your head and cheer up, alright?" He let go and crossed his arms over his chest. "Breaks my heart to see you sad. Now come on, let me see that cute smile of yours."
Sniffling and rubbing his eyes, Justin did manage to smile and giggle, his spirits lifted. However, this didn't last long as he broke down sobbing and was embraced again. He held onto the husky for as long as possible, letting everything out until eventually being reduced to mere sniffles. "Thank you for that, really. I'm...glad that I'm starting to trust you, which is odd to me because it takes me forever to trust anyone."
Damien's eyes widened. "Really?" He asked and got a nod, making him smile more before letting go. "Huh! That really makes my day then. Makes me happy to know that you trust me enough, heh. And it's no problem. I'll always be here for you, through the good and bad times." He gave a playful wink, effectively causing the panda to giggle again, then began walking down the hall. "We should hurry though, cause lunch is going to end very soon and I'm starving."
"Oh, that's right!" Justin let out a groan and face pawed before shuffling up to the other boy to follow him. "I completely forgot, I'm sorry."
"Eh, it's fine." He replied with a shrug. "You were more important than the food and besides, I have more than enough at home so not a complete loss."
"Right...umm..."
"Yeah?"
"I...it's nothing. Not really important." The panda said, quickly dismissing what he was going to say, his cheeks and the tips of his ears burning.
Damien raised a brow in curiosity, but he didn't try to push since the boy had been through enough already. With another shrug, the two of them speed walked and turned a corner. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted Cameron leaning against a wall, looking bored out of his mind. "What the--What?!" He exclaimed, staring at him in shock.
Justin had the same expression as well, his mouth agape. "You were here this whole time?"
Cameron still had his deep scowl as he leaned away and walked up to the two, not saying a word. After coming into close proximity, he reached out with both paws to grab and yank the canine's ears, causing him to yelp in pain. "You are such an idiot!"
"O-oww! Hey! Why are you only punishing me? I was doing the right thing!" Damien whined and got another painful pull.
"Because I told you to leave him be! Had you done that, we would be eating already and thought about it!" He explained, brown eyes blazing in fury.
Damien gasped, forgetting all about the pain and looked up at his friend, a bright smile on his lips. "So you mean--Ow! Ow! Ow! You're going to ruin my ears, stop! I'm sorry!" He cried out, the yanking becoming twice more painful.
Cameron kept up with the discipline until the husky really looked like he had enough. With a huff, he swiveled on his heels and walked off. "Now come on and hurry. I'm hungry."
"Yikes...he's scary when he's angry." Justin mumbled and looked over to Damien who was pouting like a child. "Sorry I got you in trouble."
"Ehhh, I'm used to it by now." The husky said with a shrug of his shoulders and smiled. "We do need to hurry though."
Justin gave a nod and ran to catch up to the cheetah with Damien right beside him. "Umm, thanks for waiting. You...didn't have to do that."
Cameron scoffed and looked the other way. "Whatever, it wasn't for your sake. Now shut up and get your feet moving."
Without another word spoken, the three of them quickly made their way to the cafeteria, hoping they weren't too late. As they ran, Damien's gaze traveled over to Justin, who was genuinely smiling. In that moment, he vowed to protect that smile at all costs.
~ ~ ~
Xun gazed at the three vacant seats for the fifteenth time, then back at the cafeteria entrance, wondering why it was taking so long for his little brother to get here. At first he had assumed that Justin was sick and was recuperating in the nurse's office, but after remembering what had happened earlier, he tossed that out. And after a few more minutes had passed and still no sign of him, his mind began to run worse case scenarios.
Gwen noticed this and gave a reassuring smile his way. "Hey, don't worry! He'll be here. If anything were to happen, he has backup." She let out a small laugh, though her eyes told him that she was worried too.
Rowen crossed his arms over his chest with a frown settling on his features. "Even though this is the case, which is a blessing by all means, you have to understand that he can't be protected at all times."
Jacob nodded after sipping a cup of tea that he brought from home. "Indeed, and despite the 'peace' that was established hours ago, it can only reach so far and affect so many."
Gwen slowly shook her head and let out a sigh. "You guys are so pessimistic...he'll be fine! Trust me on this."
Xun opened his mouth, then immediately closed it shut as he noticed Justin and his two friends rushing in to grab their food. "Took you guys long enough! I was getting worried! Where were you this whole time?" He asked after the three of them took their seats, plates full.
Damien was panting and held up a finger. "Give me a minute here and I'll tell you." He breathed out, then inhaled deeply through his nose before fully exhaling. "Basically our teacher wanted to know if the rumors were true or not." He explained and rubbed the back of his head.
"Yeah, that's pretty much it. Sorry for making you guys worry so much." Justin said while twiddling his thumbs, his gaze downward.
Cameron didn't add anything, for he was busy scarfing down his portion of sustenance, and from the looks of things, it was disappearing fast.
Xun relaxed himself, the relief of seeing his sibling unharmed brought a huge weight off his shoulders. "Well I'm glad you're safe. And school is almost over so we can put this whole thing behind us."
"For now, at least." Jacob muttered and everyone turned to face him. He met their stares and let out a soft sigh. "As of now, none of the faculty know who is responsible for this, and until the true culprits are caught, this will continue. And as for their teacher doing what was necessary, he wasn't the only one. I was personally asked if I was harmed because I know you and I was involved."
Rowen nodded. "Yeah, we had this happen once we reached our homeroom. And I have a feeling that once this is over and done with, Justin will still be a target for bullying. Having a reputation such as this doesn't go away overnight."
Justin paused in the middle of eating, his eyes wide with fear and his ears pinning down to his skull. He slowly put down his utensil and hung his head, looking utterly dejected. "So this won't stop...great."
"Hey," Xun spoke up and reached across the table to grasp and hold the young panda's left paw, "don't worry, alright? I'm here--" he quickly shook his head, "we're here for you."
"Awww, well isn't this lovely? The freak has friends!" A high pitched female voice said, causing the look up in surprise. Standing just a few feet behind Rowen was a lean and fit golden retriever, her features beautiful and yellow-gold fur luxurious. There were two other girls beside her; a chubby bat with too much lip gloss and a skinny wolf who scowled almost as much as Cameron.
"Lovely...it's Jenna and her two cronies, Alissa and Margaret." Gwen pinched the bridge of her nose and groaned. "Why them, of all people?"
"Who's she?" Damien asked with a raise of an eyebrow, looking to the ferret for answers.
It was Xun who answered instead. "A spoiled, bratty bitch who does nothing but gossip and start drama out of sheer boredom." He glared at the girl with venom in his eyes, hoping her face would melt off, but that was wishful thinking. "And her two friends there are just poor backups with no personality of their own."
Jenna seemed unphased by the insult as she simply threw back her hair and laughed. "Say whatever you want, faggot! I'm the one with popularity here. My word is practically law. As for your freak of a brother here, I'm surprised he hasn't gone home crying. Gotta say, kid's got guts." She smiled a wicked smile, her eyes locking onto the lion now and walked up to him, shamelessly looking him up and down before reaching out with a paw to caress his chest. "And what's this really handsome transfer student doing hanging around with you lot?"
Rowen slapped her paw away, not at all amused by what she was doing. "They're my friends and sorry, but you're not my type. Get lost."
Her smile disappeared for a small second, then came back with a vengeance and it was much sinister. "Oh, is that right? So you're a faggot too? Ha! Must be my lucky day! Right girls?"
"Yeah!" Both Alissa and Margaret said at the same time while everyone in the cafeteria laughed.
Suddenly Gwen stood up and marched over to Jenna, her tail whipping behind her in fury. "Look bitch, just because you have daddy to bank on and have two misfits who follow you around like lost pets doesn't mean you're hot shit and can walk around bullying people like this. So sit your fake ass down or I'll dropkick you."
As those words left her mouth, the crowd went quiet and for good reason. Everyone knew that the ferret was a fighter, despite being small in stature. What she made up for in that department was her fists and she knew how to use them. There was also the fact that Jenna is a mundane, but even without magic, the victor would have already been decided.
Jenna simply blinked a few times, then looked down, her smile now being replaced with a frown. "Really, shorty? And risk yourself getting suspended? Pffft, go ahead and hit me! I dare you." She tossed back her hair again and crossed her arms over her chest, waiting patiently.
Gwen curled all of her fingers up into fists, her body tense and shaking in anticipation. She let out a menacing growl that almost made the retriever jump.
"Enough!" Jake shouted and stood up from his seat, shocking everyone, including the ferret into silence. "Gwen, stand down please." He demanded with a stern gaze in her direction, waiting until she finally relaxed herself and took her seat, then focused his attention on the other girl. "It amazes me how an honor roll student like yourself can sink so low to pitiful acts such as this. But I'm not surprised, considering how you fuck your way to better grades. And not only that, my dear, but also hiding the fact that no matter how many times you look into the mirror, you see your past self. A fat girl who did nothing but eat every single day to fill the void of loneliness and unhappiness."
Jenna stared at the canine, her mouth agape. "How the hell did you know--"
"Ah, but let's not forget about your parents divorce! How sad it must have been to watch your family be torn apart like that, hmm? Yes, how very sad indeed..." He bared his fangs and pointed at her. "Now tell me, Jenna Paruni Manx, do you still want to tread this path? Because I can be your very worst nightmare if you so wish. If you're done here spewing out nonsense, you can leave...now. Or stay, your choice."
"Whoa...remind me to not ever get on this guy's bad side..." Damien whispered and the gang around the table slowly nodded their heads in agreement.
All eyes were on the golden retriever now, including her friends, waiting for some sort of witty comeback but none came. Then the whispers started, causing her to look around in panic before rushing over to her table, grab her things and take flight. The bat and wolf looked at each other for a quick moment, then followed after her.
After the trio had left and things began to go back to normal, the shepherd sat back down and took out a book, flipped through a few pages to find a bookmark and read as if nothing had happened.
Xun and the gang stared at the dog in both horror and, strangely enough, fascination. Never had they witnessed something like that before.
"Wow, that was...pretty intense." Justin began with a nervous chuckle as he idly rubbed his left arm.
"Yeah, and pretty harsh." Gwen said with a shake of her head. "What was that just now? I know the girl can be a major bitch, but seriously, that was a little uncalled for, don't you think?"
"Regardless of the method, it got the job done, did it not?" Jake replied, his eyes never once leaving the tome. "The spotlight is on her now. And before you ask, I did some little digging is all."
Rowen glared at the canine for a moment, then sighed. "Cruel as it may be...he has a point. I don't like it, but your brother should be safe for now, Xun."
"Yeah...thanks, I think." Xun mumbled, not really sure what else to say let alone think after seeing Jake tear into the poor girl. Like Gwen had said, she was mean but didn't really deserve any of that. If anything, this made him wonder about the dog even more. How did he know any of that? 'He's definitely shrouded in mystery that's for sure.' His eyes stayed on him for awhile longer until the bell rang, breaking him from his thoughts.
"I'll see you later big bro!" Justin shouted out after everyone got up to head to their next class, giving a wave as he went the other way with Damien and Cameron beside him.
"I'm surprised that James didn't show his face to stop what was going on." Gwen commented after catching up to the panda.
"Please don't mention that guy around me. After what he did earlier, I still want to rip his throat out." Rowen said, his paws clenching and unclenching. "I really don't like him..."
A burst of laughter escaped Xun, but only for a short while due to getting a nasty glare from the lion. "Sorry, sorry. It's just cute to see you all ruffled. But yeah, it is weird we didn't see him this time around. Then again, considering what he does for sport, it's not surprising."
Jake raised a brow as he caught up to the others. "Which reminds me, what are his extracurricular activities?"
The panda cupped his chin in thought. "Football. As far as that, I don't really know. I don't consider him much of a friend or acquaintance to really get to know him." He replied, the answer seeming to satisfy the canine's inquiry for he nodded and kept silent.
"Nice to know..." Rowen mumbled, a small grin appearing on his lips before being replaced with a frown.
"I saw that!" Gwen said, causing the lion to jump in surprise. "You're pretty vengeful aren't you?" She teased and started laughing as a crimson blush appeared on his cheeks and was trying hard to explain himself.
Xun smiled and shook his head. "As much as I want to stay and see where this conversation would lead, I gotta go to my next class. See you all later!" He waved, then vanished into the sea of furs that were heading to their next destination. Time began to blur as the panda went through the remaining class periods he had for the day until finally the last bell rang. After the students got up from their seats and left the building, he hung around the campus courtyard where everyone was chatting amongst themselves.
"Thank the gods school is over with!" Damien said, a yawn escaping him with his arms outstretched in the air before bringing them back down. "I thought it would never end."
"For once, I agree with you. It's been a long day." Cameron commented, his usual scowl being replaced with fatigue.
"Yeah, it has...but now we can relax somewhat!" Justin cheerfully said, his stubby tail wagging happily. It was obvious he was in good spirits. "Thank you again, Jake!"
The dog nodded and then proceeded to turn, walking away. "Sorry everyone, but I have a few errands to run for my sister. I'll see you all later!"
Rowen's eyes became fixated on the dog for a long time before shaking his head. "That guy is a mystery..."
Gwen softly giggled and rubbed the back of her head. "Yeah he is, yet interesting all the same...but in any case! Mall is happening tomorrow, don't forget." She gave a wink towards Xun, causing him to blush.
"R-right...uhh speaking of that, we'll go on home so we can be ready and awake for it. Come on, Justin!" Xun called out to his brother as he made his way to the car, giving a small wave to everyone while his brother did the same.
As the two of them hopped in and drove home, Justin let out a heavy sigh, causing the other panda to look over, one of his eyebrows raised. "Oh, no! I'm okay, really! Just a little exhausted is all."
Xun slowly nodded, fully understanding why his sibling was feeling this way due to the hectic events that transpired today. First the verbal abuse and James' intervention before school started, then the mean girls trio at lunch and last of all, Jake's harshness. It was all a bit much, but they survived and they were free, for now at least.
Justin climbed out of the vehicle once they made it into the driveway. As he made his way to the door, he suddenly stopped moving.
"Justin?" Xun called out to him after stepping out of his car, waiting for a response but nothing came. He was just standing there, motionless. Alarmed, he ran over to see what the problem was and upon reaching him, he noticed that his eyes were closed. "A sleeping spell?" He frantically looked around, searching for whoever caused this, but there was no one in sight. Not a single presence of energy could be felt either.
Suddenly he heard a soft click, causing him to quickly turn around. The door had become slightly ajar and a bright light was shining through the cracks. He could now feel energy coming from inside and it was very powerful magic. Someone or something was in their home, waiting for him.
His body tense and ready for any possible attack, Xun's bracelet began to glow, granting him the immense power he had that night. Picking up his brother in bridal style, he stepped forward, the door opening further, allowing the light to shine brighter to the point that he had to squint. After fully getting inside, the door shut itself and the dazzling light slowly vanished.
"Ah, the Diànw? ti?nsh? has chosen another young vessel from the clan. This is indeed most troubling..." A voice spoke out of nowhere, sounding both a mixture of normal and otherworldly at the same time. It also sounded distinctly male.
"Who are you? What do you want?" Xun cried out to the intruder as his eyes scanned the area for any possible sign of life. There was nothing but he could feel the presence everywhere around him. "Where are you? Show your face!"
"Heed your questions and be still, mortal! I will make sure your death be swift and painless." It whispered and spears of light began to appear and materialize in mid-air all around the panda, their sharp edges pointing straight at him. "You will thank me for this..."
A loud growl rumbled out of Xun as his eyes became focused on the spears, his mind thinking critically. If one of those things struck him or Justin anywhere in a vital spot, the damage would be very fatal and it would be too late to call for help. He did not want that to happen, but what could he do? Shutting his eyes tight, he silently prayed to the gods, hoping any of them would hear his plea to live.
"Fight..." A small voice whispered in the back of his mind.
Opening his eyes, an immense amount power began to flow and surge through Xun's entire being. The bracelet shined brighter than ever before, almost blinding him. Still holding on to his sibling, the spears vibrated slightly, then swiftly advanced towards him, slicing the air as they traveled the distance. Without so much as moving a paw, his body became shrouded in darkness and the deadly objects passed through him, successfully unable to pierce flesh.
"So its powers have awakened again." The voice sounded angry and a flash of bright light appeared, causing the panda to shut his eyes tight and lose concentration. In that moment, the darkness started to fade, leaving him and Justin vulnerable. "However, you're too weak to fully control it." He said, one of the spears lodging itself out of the ground and then slicing the panda's left leg.
Xun grunted and fell down to one knee, yet still clutching his brother tight. The assault wasn't done however, for all of the spears, one by one, unlodged themselves and formed around him once again. It was starting to get bothersome fairly quick. He wasn't going to give up though, he had to survive. He had to keep himself and his brother safe. The objects began to swirl, but his eyes weren't focused on that, only elsewhere. He waited patiently, ignoring the searing pain that was shooting through his leg.
"Choosing to surrender...a wonderful decision you have chosen, vessel. There is no shame in doing so." It said, sounding dangerously calm. "However, this time I will not miss."
As the words left the unknown attacker, Xun noticed out of the corner of his eye a small glint. This was his chance. He quickly summoned miniature black holes around himself, watching the spears disappear inside of them.
"What?! This isn't possible! Your powers shouldn't be--" A gasp was heard as the spears reappeared, but not anywhere near the panda; they were in fact in the exact location where the intruder was hiding itself. In one moment, the weapons hung in mid-air, then the next, gravity happened. Soon the sound of flesh being pierced and pained groans reached the panda's ears and the mystery attacker's form slowly began to reveal itself.
In front of Xun was a being that he had never seen the likes of before. There was no fur or claws anywhere and its skin was a pale white. Sprouting from its back were beautiful white, feathery wings and it wore majestic robes, the color of it being purely white, although the imagery was ruined thanks to patches of blood staining the fabric.
"What...are you?" Xun inquired, his surprise and curiosity apparent in his voice and features. He was still cautious, but was mystified all the same. "And what do you mean by the Dianu Tenshi and this clan and me being a vessel?"
"Diànw? ti?nsh?, you ignorant mortal!" The being growled out, then groaned. "A vessel such as yourself who knows nothing greatly appals me." He said, then noticed the panda struggling to stand and quickly put up a barrier. "Don't you dare come near me! You may have won and survived, but you will come to regret this."
"What do you mean? What are you talking about?" Xun inquired, greatly confused by the information that was thrown at him and not receiving any answers to his questions. He desperately wanted to know and this was possibly his only chance. "What do you know about this bracelet?"
The being chuckled, apparently amused by the panda's chagrin. "Ah, such ignorance. I will not disclose this information just because you have beaten me." He grinned and his body began to fade along with the spears. "Holder of the jade bracelet, you will suffer."
Xun tried his best to stand, but the excruciating pain prevented him from doing so. And with his little brother being heavy, it made things worse. "Wait! I need to know!" He pleaded, but he was too late as the being completely vanished without a trace, its energy having gone with it. Now that the presence was gone, his bracelet returned to normal. "Dammit!" He growled out, being left with more questions than answers, having no clue on where to start. His thoughts were interrupted as he heard Justin groaning, a sign that he was waking up.
"Urgh...what happened? Why am I being held?" The young panda slowly opened his eyes, holding his head and looked around before looking up at his big brother. "Xun? Why are you kneeling?"
"It's a long story...and I don't have all of the answers. Can you please heal me?" He begged after releasing his brother.
One of Justin's eyebrows raised in curiosity from the strange request until he stood up and thoroughly checked his brother. "Oh gods, you're bleeding! What happened?" He asked and got a hard look. "Ah, right! Later, sorry!"
Xun rumbled in satisfaction as his wound began to close up. "Thanks." He slowly got up to his feet.
"Of course! I'm here for you like you're here for me. Always...heh, I'm a little upset that I missed out on helping you thanks to that sleeping spell, but you managed by yourself." Justin said and looked away. "Something I wish I could do..." he mumbled to himself.
Xun tilted his head, not at all catching what was said. "What?"
Justin shook his head. "Nothing, nothing! I'm just glad you're okay. So what happened while I was asleep?"
"An angel attacked, trying to kill me and was blabbing on about this Dianu Tenshi and some clan and some other stuff." He answered with a shrug. "It was also saying how I would thank him for killing me..."
"An angel?!" Justin exclaimed. "Those are the most evil and corrupt creatures, along with demons! Did you kill it?" He asked and got a shake of the head. "What?! Why not? You're supposed to! They're evil!"
"I know that!" Xun snapped, then visibly flinched. "Sorry, but this one didn't seem all that bad. It sounds insane, I know but I had a feeling when he was answering me." He brought his right wrist over to gaze at the bracelet. "Somehow he knows about this and I want answers."
Justin cupped his chin, looking skeptical of it all. "Sorry, but I don't buy it. Angels and demons don't care about the world or anyone in it. I highly doubt this one particular angel is even remotely kind, considering how he tried to murder you out of kindness." He stated, then looked up at Xun, noticing that he was still staring at the bracelet. Sighing, he brought himself over to hug him. "I know you want answers, and believe me, I do too but let's not focus on this, okay? We have the mall to look forward to!"
Xun blinked and looked down at his brother, moving his right arm down before rubbing the top of the young panda's head. "Yeah, we do. Sorry." A smile was upon his lips, then his eyes widened and face pawed himself. "Do you mind helping me clean up the blood?"
Justin laughed. "Sure." He let himself out of the hug and the two began cleaning up the mess, enjoying each other's company.
