Chapter 2
Zino dodged a ball of black energy, rolling his body to slam his back against a tan building. As he panted, the large, red armoured Worgen chuckled at him from beside him.
“Not quite what we expected to get into here."
Zino glared to his right briefly at the grinning face of Liki, the Worgen's teeth flashing in the dim, dusky light of the witch infested town. The human was wearing a set of purple and black colored leather armor which Liki had given him, the pockets of which were also enchanted, but the enchantment only worked for Liki at least until the Worgen could get his enchanting contact to fix it so he could access it. He had received it sized to fit a Worgen, but the enchantment worked to also grow and shrink for when a Worgen would shift between forms, so it fit onto him easily when he put it on, it flexed and stretched with his movements like a second skin. As the first set of enchanted armor Zino had ever experienced, he didn't think he could ever go back to using standard armors.
“The Coven take you blasted assassins!" A shrill voice cackled from across the town pathway and another blast of dark magic flew through the air next to the pair.
“I didn't expect battling through an entire lair full of pirates, or fighting through a prison to get a key to a cell in which there was nothing, then coming here to follow up on clues that Jaina is being held in some...world of the dead." The human growled out as he tried to peek around the edge of the building.
At the other end of the trail, a large specter floated with two ragged looking witches wearing black robes. Matron Adula, whose grip and magic was responsible for the current state of the town, well, besides Mother Waycrest.
“I further didn't expect it to be Lucille's own mother who was responsible for all of this." The human continued as he pulled back when another blast of energy hit the other side of the wall.
“Yes well, neither did Lucille." Liki grumbled while he reached into the pocket of his leather pants with one paw. He fished out two throwing knives from the enchanted pockets and then handed them to Zino.
“Remember what we did at Freehold?" The Worgen asked as Zino took the knives.
“I remember you suddenly threw me into the air with no warning and -luck- just happened. I could have died!" Zino scowled at the lupine.
“Yes well this time, you'll know it's about to happen. And you can throw the knives instead of just stabbing them into the ogre's face directly." Liki returned with a bit of a 'get over it' tone in his voice.
“It was an ogre with -living- sharks strapped to his arms!" Zino exclaimed, forgetting for a moment they were having spells thrown at them as he snarled at Liki.
“I know, that was one of the more interesting things I've seen in my life. Certainly beats Sha demons infesting the mountains in Pandaria." Liki said casually while he sheathed the dagger in his other hand and then rolled his shoulders.
“Now then." The Worgen growled as he reached for Zino and took hold of him, easily lifting him up before he could protest further.
“Wait wait wait! No!" But Liki had already jumped out into the road, carrying Zino up above his head.
The Worgen rogue ran towards the witches at the other end of the street, the ghostly matron pointed and the two hags began to wave their hands. Liki bounded as quickly as he could in the few seconds he could spare before two spheres of darkness came flying at them.
“And away you go!" Liki shouted and he planted his feet, tilting back a bit then heaved himself forward as hard as he could, flinging Zino into the air.
“Ohhhhhh-" Zino began to shout before he was thrown forward like a skinny spear. Liki ducked down under the magic spheres as Zino flew over them, and straight at the trio of witches.
“Sisters!" The Matron shrieked, Liki's tactic taking the coven by surprise effectively. Zino shouted in desperation as he flailed through the air ungracefully and he tried to throw the daggers through the air. As Zino hit the ground and rolled to a stop, the two witches at either side of the spector howled out in rage as the knives miraculously found their midsections.
The witches fell to the ground in front of the human, clutching their sides as the specter above them all shrieked once more. “How...DARE you mortals think of attacking a matron of the coven!"
“If I have to listen to another 'entity of superpower' drone on about how they're all powerful I'm going to...well honestly probably kill it before it gets the chance to try and kill me after it gets done spouting its self appreciation." Liki growled as he was rising up from where he had flattened himself to the ground to avoid the spheres of magic that had been thrown at them.
“Excuse me? Who just spoke about three times more words than she did?" Zino snarled back as he tried to slowly pick himself up. “We seem to be talking a lot when we're supposed to be letting our actions speak for us like you had told me in our lessons…"
“Shut up or I'll stab you instead." Liki said as he came up beside him, drawing free his daggers, the blades glowed red with dark clouds swirling around it. The Dusk Blades were imbued with enchantments
“You wouldn't do that, after the few times you've already saved me and I you."
“Hmmm maybe once....I'll give you once. Me saving you, that's been more than just a few."
Suddenly the ghost howled in rage. “Insolent fools! Die!" and she lifted her hands up into the air as they glowed white, and a storm of energy began to surround them all. Balls of the energy began to dart and fly at them, the two rogues began to dodge and roll rapidly.
“Don't worry! I got this!" Liki shouted over the sound of the spell as he did a front roll.
“Do you?!" Zino asked as he awkwardly rolled along the ground. He wasn't nearly as experianced and nimple like Liki was.
“Cause if you do please hurry and get it!"
Liki howled and he launched himself through the air at Matron Adula, Zino watched as the Worgen slammed against the spectral body, bringing the floating spirit down to the ground.
“No! No!" Adula shouted out but Liki pinned her underneath his large form, and Zino watched from the ground as the Worgen lifted one arm into the air and then stabbed it down upon Adula's ghastly face. A small explosion of energy blasted from the specters body and she vanished, a small, iridescent black pearl falling to the ground slightly behind Liki as he caught himself on the ground when the physical body vanished under him.
The two witches, still clutching their sides where the knives had embedded themselves in, scurried up and began to run away, vanishing in the alleyways between the buildings. With the Matron defeated, the area around them began to become brighter, the sunlight finally able to penetrate the magic that had been keep the town in a permanent state of dusk.
Liki stood up as Zino came up behind him and he looked towards the large manor looming over the other buildings of the town. “That should do it...now it's up to Lucille and the other inquisitors."
Zino made a confused face. “We're not going to go in there and help them?"
Liki sighed. “Unfortunately no."
The Worgen turned around, one of his large, clawed paws holding up the shining Heart of Azeroth by its chain for Zino to see. The medallion was lightly pulsing and glowing warmly.
“What does that mean?" Zino asked, confused further.
“Means that we're being called. Magni told me that the two hearts can call out to each other." Liki made a scowl.
Zino tried to understand, and he grimaced as well. “So, the person calling you is Magni?" He asked, even though he knew that wasn't the answer he hoped it might be.
Liki shook his head, and sighed once more “No."
The Worgen let the chained medallion fall back onto his chest and growled. “The Horde Champion is calling us, and he's nearby…"

A few hours later, the two rogues arrived at a cave embedded in the cliff face along a beach of Drustvar.
“So were we supposed to meet them here?" Zino asked, folding his arms while looking up and down the beach.
“Yes. At least that's what this thing is whispering in my ear." Liki said while his paw was handling the Heart hanging from his neck.
Zino instantly began to feel a horrible feeling. “This is a trap."
“It isn't. Relax." Liki assured as he held up the Heart.
“No." Zino continued firmly and he moved in front of the Worgen.
“I've heard enough about the Horde's movements from Shaw. Raids in Stormsong Valley, outposts in the hills. I don't trust this." The human snarled further.
Liki looked down at Zino with an understanding and gentle stare. “Not all of the Horde support Sylvanas. I found Ru'kir to be decently honorable when I met Magni with him. He took the same vow I did."
“Activities of da Horde have become less important to me since seeing da things Magni had to show." A sudden, very smooth voice spoke above the pair.
Zino looked up, tilting his head back as Liki only needed to slightly tilt his head upwards. Above them, perched on the opening of the cave, was a blue skinned Troll, one of its three fingered hands holding a bow upright next to him. On the other side, perched a large eagle who peered down at the Worgen and human alongside its master. He was wearing a full set of chain link mail armor, which quietly rattled as he shifted forward. With the two long tusks jutting from the corners of his mouth, he also had braided ropes of hair flowing down from his chin.
“Along with Bloodhoof's beliefs...I find that da honor of da Horde has quickly become questionable." The Troll hunter continued softly.
“Was that before or after you burned down Teldrassil? I have to wonder if you were there when it happened. Why would you go along with such an outright brazen attack? Why right after the war with the Burning Legion? Sylvanas is a warmonger, you gained nothing from that attack but destruction. Not to mention she is also becoming a self appointed Lich King." Zino scoffed, shaking his head.
“As a Troll, why wouldn't you have questioned Vol'jin's wisdom in naming that monster banshee as warchief?" He asked angrily.
The hunter remained silent for a moment before he rose up and, bow in hand, hopped down from the lip of the cave to land a few feet in front of Zino. As he stood up, he came to stand a foot above the human, nearly the same size as the Worgen behind him. This close to him, Zino could see the same round medallion that Liki had also hanging from the Troll's neck while the tribal stared down at him, before his eyes flicked up to Liki.
“Why have you brought him? He was not there when we made our pact." The Troll glared at Liki while his eagle screeched out.
Liki came up beside Zino, putting one of his large, furry paws on the human's shoulder and pulling him back a few steps. “Zino was assigned to me as a retainer after Anduin learned of my status given by Magni."
The Worgen's paw squeezed Zino's shoulder tightly, making the smaller rogue realize he was being subtly scolded as Liki continued. “Forgive him, Ru'kir, he has not been able to see other members of the Horde who...well...aren't enemies. He's also inexperienced, his only knowledge of the Horde comes from battle reports and stories told by less tolerant people."
Zino looked off to the side while Ru'kir's eyes narrowed while examining him, eventually giving a short nod, “I suppose dat is...understandable."
Ru'kir turned and waved his arm to signal them to follow, “Come inside, what I be needing to show you lies within."
Liki willingly followed without a second thought, but Zino hung back for a second or two before he did begin to follow into the darkness of the cave. After just a few moments in the darkness, Ru'kir let up a torch and held it up high above his head as they continued further.
The further they descended, the more the torch's light began to illuminate the walls around them. The shine of yellow and blue liquid flowing along the walls and forming pools on the ground became more and more frequent until at last, they rounded a corner and entered a chamber filled with dozens of crystalized Azerite nodes.
“I've never seen so much unrefined Azerite in one place before. It is good that you found it before anyone else did." Liki said in surprise.
“Gallywix would have my head if he ever finds out I didn't report it to him." Ru'kir growled in annoyance himself as he stabbed the end of the torch into the ground.
“But I would rather fix the planet and face that possibility than let his miners destroy more of it. You know what we must do." He said while taking hold of his Heart and holding it up, the shiny medal began to glow brightly and making a slight humming noise.
Liki silently held up his own Heart alongside Ru'kir and both of the artifacts hummed loudly. The Azerite crystals in the cave began to hum and shake as well, and Zino watched in awe as the many crystals around them suddenly all shattered to fine dust, and the glowing soft blue light from within them flowed through the air and began to surround the Worgen and Troll.
The lights began to flow and fuse themselves with the pair of Hearts, evenly distributing themselves between the two. After several seconds the light faded, and the only light remaining was that of the still lit touch, the Azerite gone, not a single trace of it ever being there visible.
Ru'kir was first to lower his Heart and he stared at the medallion and he gave a loud sigh, “Don't even feel like a drop in da water…"
“Magni told us it was going to be a very long task." Liki commented. “The sooner we end the war, the better we can focus on doing it."
“Agreed." Ru'kir said, and he looked towards Zino briefly. “It appears that the Alliance has put more at stake in fixing the problem than just one Champion however."
“Getting rid of Azerite goes against what the Horde currently wants." Zino scowled, not hiding his distaste once more.
Liki growled as he turned towards his human disciple. “Zino stop with-"
“No mon, he be right." Ru'kir nodded, “I didn't kid when I said Gallywix would have my head if he ever found out I didn't tell him about dis. Me being Champion is only to show face. The creation of Azerite weaponry hasn't slowed one bit."
Zino was surprised by the Troll's agreement, while the hunter continued speaking to Liki. “I would like to request something."
Liki tilted his head with quizzical look. “Anything that I may be able to do, at least."
“This may be a bit of a stretch then, as I'm asking you to take a request to your king." Ru'kir reached into the pouch at his side and pulled out a small envelope.
Liki eyed the letter and to Zino's relief, the Troll's request was finally rising some suspicion from his commander. “What kind of request is it?"
“It's a request for...cooperation. I have no interest in the war. There's no point in a victor if there is no planet left to have."
Liki nodded while eyeing Ru'kir carefully. “All right, I'll make sure he gets it."

Later, back at a safe place in Drustvar, Zino was quietly repairing his armor and Liki's. Both of them were wearing nothing but their under garments. Zino a pair of tight fitting underwear, while Liki a loose fitting cloth covering his front and rear but nothing else.
Zino had long grown use to seeing the Worgen near naked when they were alone in the rooms of inns. The rogue never removed his armor out in the field or resting in a tent, or removed his weapons for that matter. Only when in a safe area and with only one exit did he relax enough to remove articles of clothing. The undergarment he usually wore didn't leave much to imagination on his size.
The Worgen was pouring over the letter that had been given to him by Ru'kir earlier that day, reading in silence as Zino worked on repairing their armor. However, the contents of the letter made Zino incredibly curious and after an hour of silence and glancing at the Worgen's large, furry back, he finally spoke up.
“So, what is it exactly he's requesting?"
Liki sat the letter down and rubbed his forehead. “He's requesting we give him a way he can better contact me than just the Hearts, and a way that I can instantly get to him."
Zino paused in his work repairing a torn patch in his armor, “So...why doesn't he just have a Horde mage travel with him?"
A mage could open portals to another location, given appropriate coordinates to a destination, which between the connection shared by the Hearts, Liki and Ru'kir could share that easily enough. One of them just needed a mage and a portal could be opened and one of them could step through it to join the other in an instant.
“If what Ru'kir said is true, having a mage assigned to him by the Horde would be a mistake. Instead of bringing me through a portal, they'd likely open a portal for their goblins to take the cave and mine it clean. He trusts an agent of the Alliance over one of his own."
“That says something of the Horde's current state." Zino scoffed.
“It also just states that Ru'kir understands the mission that's been given to him. As soon as we find Jaina I intend to do the same." Liki said.
“But what about Shaw's plans to the war?"
“There's a reason why you and I haven't joined in the incursions into Zuldazar. I have no interest in the war myself." Liki growled while he moved to start putting away the letter back into his envelope..
Zino gaped. “How can you not? After witnessing the horrors of Teldrassil and Lordaeron you don't want to see an end to his war quicker in favor of the Alliance?"
Liki turned towards Zino, his eyes squinting and he growled loudly, showing rows of sharp teeth. Zino didn't back down, returning the glare with as fierce a stare he could give as a human. In the month that Zino had been around Liki so far, he'd learn enough about his personality to be comfortable around him even though he knew next to nothing about who Liki actually was.
“I'll answer with exactly what Ru'kir had said; if there is no planet left than what is the point in winning a war? There are plenty of others who think the same way. The Earthen Ring, for instance."
“Yes." Zino scoffed and folded his arms, “The Cenarion Circle was acting much the same way, up until a giant tree was burned, so now a large portion of it is currently trying to beat back the Horde from Darkshore."
Liki stood up while waving his arms, “I'm not going to argue about this with you Zino. My mission right now is to assist in getting Kul Tiras to join the Alliance. To do that, I need to find Jaina."
Zino huffed and he looked back down at the armor in front of him. This unfortunately placed his field of vision square on towards Liki's midsection, his eyes locking onto the front of that light brown loincloth he wore and the rather thick looking bulge hidden under it.
It had been a few days after that first night in Boralus that Zino had first seen Liki without his pants, and since then whenever Liki was near nude in front of him, his mind would fill with thoughts of curiosity and desire. Even now in the middle of an argument about his passion for winning the war, his new passion to try and get to know Liki better made him look away to the wall and try to hide the intense blush on his cheeks.
And of course, just like a few times before. Liki's ears twitched and his nose sniffed at the air around Zino, before the Worgen would turn around and go back to his desk and sit down quietly.
Zino silently cursed to himself as he tried to busy himself in repairing the armor in front of him once more, trying to clear his mind of his thoughts. It was getting harder and harder. Since the pair spent every waking moment in each others company, there had so far been no moment for total privacy. The last time Zino or Liki had taken a shower or bath had been the day after the human had arrived in Boralus. Both he and Liki were musky and dirty looking. The Worgen's fur was dishevelled and spiked up in different locations, while Zino's hair had became oily and thick, when he entered a cold area it caused it to freeze over slightly.
“We both need a bath." Liki suddenly broke into Zino's thoughts with the sudden statement. The Worgen suddenly sat up again and strode over to Zino, and unceremoniously grabbed and threw the near naked human up over his shoulder.
“Wh- Hey!" Zino shouted as he found himself suddenly flung along his mentor's furry backside.
“What are you doing?!" Zino shouted as he found himself quickly looking at the open door as he was being carried outside into the hallway of the inn they were at.
“Taking you out to the bathhouse with me."
“I could go later after you!"
“Naw, I don't trust that. Your scent reeks and my fur has become sticky and unkempt."
“So why the heck do I have to go in there with you?!" Zino shouted, not caring as they past a Kul Tiran in the hallway, who looked back over their shoulder at the odd scene as Liki replied.
“I can't comb out the fur on my back on my own and I want to make sure you clean up fully."
Zino stammered, “E-excuse me? I'm not going to brush you!"
“Oh yes you are." Liki growled back, a hint of playfulness in his voice as he carried the human down the stairs, the Kul Tiran shaking their head with a snicker as they entered their own room.
________________
Zino was fuming and at the same time much too nervous about having the naked Worgen sitting in front of him. He was sitting in a small pool of warm water, also naked, with Liki sitting directly in front of him facing away.
Liki had thrown Zino into the water with underwear still on and had him remove them while in the water to let him keep his modesty, and then had Zino face away from him while he removed his own undergarment and then got into the water next to him, reached over his back and handed Zino a long brush and told him to “Get right to it."
The tub was chest height, and the spell that warmed the water kept it bubbling enough that it was not possible to see anything under the surface. This didn't help Zino ignore the half mast he was currently keeping from going full and poking Liki in the back by keeping his hands busy in combing Liki's back.
It did help that the fur was surprisingly thick, the bristles of the comb didn't even reach the Worgen's back through the thick mane of fur. This eventually got Zino to relax enough to stop worrying about his arousal.
“I thought I'd heard once that a Worgen can keep their fur clean by shifting to human and then back?" Zino questioned while wrestling with a tangle of fur with the comb.
Liki stayed silent a moment before he sighed, “We can...but I haven't shifted since the Siege of Orgrimmar."
“Why is that?"
“I…" Liki started, but then slowly shook his head.
“I would rather not say…" The large, black furred Worgen said softly.
“O-kay…" Zino responded, the answer only making him more curious, but he continued on with a different thought, “You took part in the Siege of Orgrimmar?"
“Some parts of it...I wasn't there for seeing Garrosh taken into custody. I'd become injured in the fight with him and didn't get to see what happened next. I'd been in intensive care and got out just weeks before he escaped." Liki shifted his head over his shoulder slightly to look behind himself at Zino.
“Your village had been destroyed in the Cataclysm? Is that right?"
Zino shook his head while brushing through the mane of fur in front of him. “No...we'd been displaced by it a bit, but it was the Horde who destroyed it after they couldn't get enough food from us. They killed nearly everyone, my parents and brothers among them. I was the only survivor in my family."
Another minute of silence followed as Liki finally spoke again “Is that what primarily fuels your anger towards members of the Horde?"
“It does give a large contribution to it." Zino agreed.
“You do know that Garrosh led the Horde during the Cataclysm and nearly all of it turned against him after the Lightning King was killed?"
“Yes, apparently having a leader who is violent tends to incite members of the group to further acts of violence. No fear of consequence or retribution…"
“Did you feel King Varian was wrong to spare Garrosh?"
“Yes! He destroyed my family and-"
“Was it mostly Orcs who attacked your village?"
Zino paused, having to try and think and remember the chaos at the moment, and he eventually nodded, “Yes, it was."
“No Trolls? No Tauren? No Undead or Blood Elves?" Liki continued.
“No." Zino answered, “It was just Orcs, what's your point?"
“All the other races, and some of the more honorable feeling Orcs, turned against Garrosh. With Vol'jin in charge, we formed brief, though minimal treaties with him. Through the incursions of Draenor when Garrosh went back in time and then the invasion of the Legion both Horde and Alliance often worked together. Both Vol'jin and Varian were killed there…"
“And now there's a Banshee leading them and it's the Undead that are spreading Plague like crazy while the Tauren seem to slowly be pulling away. Yes, I know." Zino snarled.
“So you understand that not all the Horde are as dishonorable and despicable as you think?"
Zino suddenly threw the brush and he angrily started to get out of the water, not caring anymore that he was naked. “Yes! I understand that not all tusky Trolls or smelly Orcs or greedy Goblins or whoever aren't all so quick to see a Human or Gnome or Draenei and have their first thought be to stab them!"
The human began quickly trying to gather his underpants and just as he picked them up Liki spoke over his anger. “Ru'kir is the one who saved me during the battle with Garrosh…"
Zino paused for just a moment, but he then continued to shake his garment dry from the water as he snarled, “So? We were allies at the time."
“But he didn't have to…" Liki said, having not turned around at all as he spoke.
“I was laying there, dying, after having nearly my entire thigh slashed open. One of Garrosh's Orcs hovering over me. It readied to execute me and suddenly Ru'kir was in front of him, using his bow to stop its blade. His eagle tore out the Orcs eyes."
The Worgen shuffled in the water, his body sinking further into it as he sighed, leaving only his head out as he closed his eyes. “I'd spent two and a half years since the cataclysm hating the Horde and all its members. I never even considered the thought that some of them actually have honor."
Zino stood looking down at Liki as he was submerged in the water and he sighed, flinging his underwear back to the ground as he sank back into the water in front of the Worgen. “Look...I'm just concerned. You seem well known and liked in the Alliance, people would expect you to take part in war."
“Then those people will be severely disappointed." Liki growled.
He opened his eyes and then grinned slightly, “So all and all, lighten up a bit Zino. Ru'Kir is trustworthy."
“Sure…" Zino said, and then the pair sat in silence as the water cleansed them.
_________________
It wasn't until later the next day that Zino remembered that Liki has been naked around him and he hadn't even gotten the chance to even see if he had normal physicalities or if Worgen followed their more animalistic sides in that aspect.
It was now nearly sunset and after taking a flight back to Boralus from Drustvar and taking the Alliance portal to Stormwind Zino was made to wait while Liki was speaking with the King, which left Zino's mind to wander back to his curiosity on the physicality of Worgen. Zino was sharpening his daggers when suddenly his mentor burst into the room, snarling and angrily storming past him.
“I'm starting to get the feeling that my goals as a champion are my own."
Zino made a confused expression. “What do you mean?" He asked while setting down his daggers.
“I'm being ordered to the frontlines. There appears to be need of my expertise at Zul'Dazar." The Worgen snarled while he began fishing papers from a desk.
“Did they refuse Ru'kir's request?"
“No. But that's why I'm being called to the frontline. I need to assist in an operation so that a certain mage who is currently involved in it can be free to travel with him."
“Well then the sooner we take care of it the sooner we can return to other things regarding finding Jaina and fixing Azeroth right?" Zino chuckled, trying to offer a form of condolence.
Liki lifted his head and scowled at his student, the human offering another weak smile as he continued. “I know you don't like it, but it's the world we do live in, and they are the ones funding our expenses. It is so bad to help out a little?"
The Worgen growled and shook his head. “I suppose it isn't." He snarled again and grabbed a few of the papers and made a follow me motion with ihs arm. “Let's get going then Zino, we have to hurry back."
“Well wait…" Zino said hastily, the lupine paused and looked back at him. “Why is there a rush?"
Liki squinted. “Because I would prefer we finish with what is needed as soon as possible?"
“It's already late in the day, it'd be dangerous to travel in Zul'Dazar at night. They have dinosaurs afterall."
The Worgen continued to squint. “That's actually the opposite. It's be safer to travel at night when we'd be harder to spot."
Zino rolled his eyes and sighed. “All right look, it's been some time since I started travelling with you and I haven't been able to really…" He shrugged. “Get to know you more than just as my mentor and commander."
“Yes…" Liki agreed, nodding his head slightly. “That's on purpose…" The worgen said while crossing his arms across his large chest.
Zino stamped his foot with exasperation. “Come on...don't make this more difficult…"
The wolfman grinned and clicked his claws, “Why not? It's cute and funny watching you struggle trying to ask me out on a date."
The human paused. “Wait what?"
“Yeah. I mean just yesterday you bathed with me and now today you're wanting to get me to stay here so we can have a bed. I'm flattered really, but that's a little fast don't you think."
Zino snarled himself now and crossed his own arms, trying to summon his courage. “To be entirely honest, no I don't believe it's too quick. I know full well that you like me too. If you hated the fact I'm attracted to you I wouldn't be travelling with you anymore. Besides, I'm not trying to ask you out I'm just saying we should relax for a bit, we've been working really hard. Secondly YOU were the one who dragged ME to the bath!"
The Worgen shrugged and smirked. “Hmm perhaps. So you finally going to make a move?"
“Perhaps." Zino shrugged right back at Liki. “If you agree to stay the night at my place and we can see where things go."
Liki growled softly while tapping his claws again. “All right then...I'll give it a shot. It's been a long few weeks and we both could use a moment to just relax some more I suppose. Don't expect much from it though besides some conversation."

About an hour later, Liki had his bare feet kicked up onto the small bedside table while picking at his teeth with one claw. He had removed his armor, which now laid in a small pile up against the far wall of the room, leaving him wearing a light red undershirt and loose undergarments that reached halfway down his long animalistic legs.
A few bare bones from meat legs in front of him. Liki had eaten them nearly raw from Zino's stocks. The meat was cooked and then flash frozen by the enchantments in the stock. Zino had only just sat down after heating his own meal and he stared at the Worgen.
“I'll never get used to that." He shook his head while biting into one of his legs.
“To what?" Liki asked while digging a claw between a few of his teeth.
“The way you eat. I swear the first time I watched you eat you didn't even taste the food."
The Worgen chuckled. “Sometimes I don't…" He then sighed. “It's not something I enjoy really."
“What do you mean?"
“As a Worgen, my sense of taste is far stronger, but my appetite and diet is so ferocious I don't get to enjoy it. Eating meat is like a trigger you just…" He gripped the air with his paws while growling, “Want to tear into it…"
Zino stared while holding the leg in front of him and he sat it down slowly as he thought. “I suppose that's something hard to get used to. You told me about how you were bitten before...what was the struggle like?"
“Struggle? You mean resisting the beast inside and not losing myself to it?" Liki questioned and Zino nodded.
Liki closed his eyes and looked away. “I've fought servants of old gods who've tried to possess my mind...fought back against spells trying to control my body and turn it against my allies...but nothing compares to trying to fight that inner demon."
The Worgen opened his eyes and looked up at the ceiling. “A spell requires the focus of the caster to take you over but the Curse is...it's just you. There's...nothing quite like it. You fight back against it...you don't want to lose yourself to it but it's just so relentless. As long as you're aware of it you fight it, so you try to not think about it, and that only helps it take you over. Eventually, you just block out all thought so that you don't have to fight it anymore, and that's when you're gone. Without thought, it's just instinct, rage, emotion…"
Liki looked at his own paw, turning it back and forth. “I spent nearly three days in this form when I first turned, fighting against the urges and instincts, but eventually...I gave in. I spent a week and a half as a Feral Worgen before the Gilnean Alchemists caught me and brought me back. I can't remember a single thing from that week and a half, but sometimes I get...flashes...dreams...when I sleep. Other Worgen can tell you the same thing, our dreams give us glimpses of things we did while Feral."
“What kinds of things did you do?" Zino asked softly.
The rogue closed his eyes again. “Terrible things I'd rather not think about…"
Zino nodded silently and he picked up his leg and took another bite. The silence hung between them as he chewed while thinking about what to ask next, before he sat it down. “Liki...did you ever have someone close to you back in Gilneas?"
“You mean like a friend? Tons, I was a barkeep afterall."
“No, someone who you wanted to be around all the time like, I mean…"
“Ah." The Worgen hummed, tilting his head up as if thinking a moment before answering. “Yes. I did. We spent many moments together in Gilneas."
“Who?"
Liki shrugged, “It doesn't matter...they're no longer here. We became separated when the Feral Worgen attacked and I've exhausted all my effort to try and find them. Every extra moment I could spend was spent trying to follow trails to find them but I could find nothing. I can only think that they were taken and killed by the Worgen or by the Horde shortly after so I faced that truth and gave up."
“Who were they?" Zino insisted.
“Why do you care?" Liki snarled suddenly.
“Because I…" The human stopped. Why did he care? He fell silent and Liki stared at him, eventually huffing.
The Worgen sighed. “Their name was Dalton Wayshire, fairly normal compared to my name. Heh, a last name like Wolfspirit, its like I was destined to become a Worgen."
“A man?" Zino blinked, not expecting that.
“Of course." Liki grinned and looked at him. “I told you I was no stranger to the attraction of the same sex. I rather prefer that kind of company."
Zino blinked and gulped slightly “What about current company?"
The Worgen held his smirk and shrugged. “I can't complain. You've been a capable companion and I've only had to save your ass a few times, and admittedly, you saved mine once. We make a good team and you learn the ropes quick."
Zino grinned, “Thank you, but that doesn't answer my question fully."
Liki laughed, making a gruff barking noise between the huffs as he did and eventually he calmed down. “If you really wanted to try something, I wouldn't stop you, if that's what you're asking." He said merrily.
“So if I dropped on my knees right now between your legs you wouldn't stop me?" Zino asked, his heart skipping a beat while the words just spilled from his mouth without him really thinking.
The words seemed to momentarily surprise Liki as well, and the Worgen slowly pulled his large footpaws off the table and sat them back onto the floor. “I suppose I wouldn't…" He said slowly, eyeing Zino curiously. The Worgen's earlier confidence had seemed to give way to a wiry curiosity of the human.
Zino stood from where he was sitting and he kept his gaze focused on the Worgen's while moving around the table and coming to stand just in front of him. The human was the same height of the sitting Worgen, putting that size difference between them back to the front of Zino's thoughts. Liki was so much bigger, rougher, stronger, than himself. Zino wanted that body.
Every moment of the last few weeks when Zino was alone with the Worgen and his thoughts played with him came back as this moment was happening. Zino wanted to feel the Worgen, wanted to run his hands through that thick black fur. He wanted to feel every bit of the strong body in front of him. Liki was the first Worgen Zino had been able to get so close to.
He dropped to his knees before the Worgen, and put his hands onto his strong kneecaps. He started to push them apart and was surprised as Liki moved them for him, spreading out his legs while looking down at him, his gaze blank and unreadable, eyes watching Zino unblinkingly.
Zino stared back up, nerves starting to get to him from the Worgen's imposing body and figure, even when sitting he was so much bigger.
He chuckled softly while his hands rubbed at the inside of the Worgen's legs a bit. “I'm uh...a little nervous."
Liki remained staring blankly as he spoke in an even tone. “Then don't talk. Remember the words of the pact…"
“Power in silence...actions over words…" Zino whispered, his eyes moving down to look in front of himself, staring at the worgen's groin, covered by the clothed undergarment.
“Exactly. Don't talk, it only distracts you...focus on your tasks and use your actions to speak for you."
Zino nodded and he took a silent breath, staring towards the target of his desire hidden by the sparse bit of clothing. Let actions speak for you… For a moment, the earlier moments that day when they had been battling the witches and they'd done nearly nothing but talk made Zino smile. If only you followed that rule more.
He reached forward, keeping his hands as steady as he could and took hold of the cloth and pulled it off, the clip that kept it attached around the Worgen's waist coming undone behind him.
Liki sat exposed before him, as the garment fluttered silently to the ground between them. Zino blinked in surprise. He had expected Worgens to follow their canine nature, but to actually see the thick, furry sheath and large orbs that rested on the chair in front of him gave him pause once more.
“Don't hesitate...hesitation can spell your doom…" Liki continued, continuing to repeat the first combat lessons he had given Zino, snapping the human from his thoughts and he leaned in. He let his wants and desires guide him, and he wrapped his lips around the furry sheath and began to suckle softly, bringing a hand up to his chin to also gently rub the furry orbs.
The thick sheath swelled from the stimulation, and in seconds, Zino tasted and felt the firm flesh of the canine shaft inside start to push out into his mouth. The heavy and musky taste of the cock was more powerful than any man he'd ever lain with, the animalistic nature of the Worgen was a powerful symbol of masculinity.
Liki remained motionless as he watched Zino nurse at his growing shaft. Even as his wolfhood began to leak pre into the human's mouth, giving him a taste of that intense virility.
Zino cheeks were flushed with arousal and desire. That first taste of pre drove him further. He wanted more, wanted to experience everything Liki could offer. The Worgen's cock gave soft throbs and pulses as it kept growing, soon poking at the back of Zino's throat. He coughed as his gag reflex reacted and he pulled back, the wolfhood popping free as he sputtered.
“Do not over extend yourself, reaching beyond your ability can destroy you and your allies." Liki spoke while the human coughed, slowly recovering and looking back to the heavy member in front of him. If Liki did take after canines, he'd have a knot, but so far, one was not showing, and the Worgen was already larger than any man Zino had ever seen. A steady flow of pre leaked from the tip as it twitched with the Worgen's steady heartbeat, calm and slow even while he was aroused.
Zino wondered why his companion was being so calm, but a short look up into the Worgen's eyes gave him a different idea. Even though his voice and body was relaxed, the rogue's eyes wavered and were wide. He was struggling internally with something.
Zino was puzzled by the look in those eyes. He slowly stood up, staring directly into the Worgen's eyes. Liki seemed to realize his body language and the look in his eyes refocused, silently questioning Zino on his action.
Remaining silent, Zino began to pull off the pants he was wearing. Letting them fall to his feet, he became bare from the waist down, just like the Worgen in front of him. Liki did not react to the action, the two of them continued to stare quietly into the others eyes.
The human stepped forward and swung his legs one at a time over the Worgen's coming to sit on his lap, the firm and twitching cock pushed down underneath his ass while his own, hard human cock was pressed against the red undershirt the rogue was still wearing. Liki's large paws came up and gently grasped around the human's lower back, holding him in his lap. Zino felt the firm yet light grasp of those large paws while shuffling closer along the Worgen's lap, feeling that hard cock push up behind him between the cheeks of his firm rear, having grown slightly larger. Zino could now feel the thicker bulge of a knot under him, trapped within the furry sheath.
Zino put his hands on Liki's shoulders, staring still into the bigger male's eyes and then pulled the Worgen forward. Liki offered no resistance, but that wavering look in his eyes had returned as he was pulled forward.
Lips met lips, and finally the Worgen made a noise, growling deep in his chest as he returned the kiss, his eyes closing instantly. The claws on Zino's back gently dug through the shirt he was wearing, as the larger rogue's tongue dug into the human's mouth, claiming the space eagerly. For several seconds, Liki ravaged Zino's face with the fierce kiss, growling deep in his chest. Eventually, Zino gently pushed his hands against the Worgen's shoulders. Liki reluctantly pulled away from the kiss, panting softly and opening his eyes.
Zino smiled at Liki, as he repeated the last lesson Liki has told him. “Don't hold yourself back for the sake of your opponent."
“You're not an opponent." Liki countered readily, seeming to have expected that remark.
“But you are holding back." Zino said, rubbing his hands up along the Worgen's neck and muzzle. “Why?"
Liki gazed for a moment into the human's eyes once more before looking away, those large ears atop of his head folding back. “I guess you've caught me off guard."
Liki opened his eyes then as he whispered. “Don't think anything bad by this Zino...my bravado got the better of me. I did not expect you to actually go through with this...and I am not ready."
Carefully, Liki's paws picked up the human while Zino offered no resistance himself, though he did question. “Why though?"
Liki sat Zino back onto the ground on his feet and then stood, his half hard cock jutting out in front of him. He reached down and picked up the discarded undergarment from before and started to reattach it around his waist. Liki turned away from Zino and he spoke softly. “Sorry...I'm just not ready for anything you're looking for. Not yet."
Zino watched silently as the Worgen slowly walked away and reached the stairway. He paused and looked over at Zino. “Finish eating and get some sleep. We'll have a busy day tomorrow."
The human nodded, and his mentor continued to step down the stairs to the floor below. Zino stood in a daze for a moment, the arousal he had had just a moment ago completely gone, leaving him soft and bare from the waist down. He was confused but worried. Liki appeared to be holding himself back for some reason.
Zino had grown to care deeply for his mentor. Perhaps that was what Greymane had wanted, what he had hinted at when Liki had tried to tell him off for assigning Zino as his apprentice. “I simply believe it is time for you to try and move on...You've spent enough years operating alone...I know you better than anyone. It is time you forgot the past...and prepare for the future."
Alone…the past…
Liki had seemed very reluctant to even give out his past lover's name. Was there something more bothering him from his past, preventing him from moving on and finding new love?
