RECOVERY.

Stephan woke up in the morning and closed his eyes from the brightness of the sun shining in through the window. The Doctor, a white human, checked his pupils with the iris examination device, and then nodded with approvement.
"Yes, it looks like you're going to recover fully." He said, writing down on the chart.
"Good, still a little bit sore though, but I can see, just a little blurry." Stephan replied, and then his stomach growled.
"It looks like someone's hungry?" The Doctor said, moving a try onto the hospital mobile table. Stephan lifted the lid and smelled the roast beef dinner.
He ate it in silence, thinking about the medical procedure later that day. The doctor left him alone. He was almost finished when Sunrise walked in, carrying a balloon and a card. Seeing hir, although blurred, he smiled and placed the fork down.
"Hey there hon." He said, reaching his one good arm out to hir.
Shi took it and smiled back, hir tail swishing happily that he could see hir again.
"Look sweety, I am terribly sorry for putting you in this mess. Here, I got you a gift." Shi said, handing him the card and placed the balloon on the bed.
"Why thank you, I'll read it later, once my eye sight gets better... mmmmmft" he mumbled, as Sunrise planted hir muzzle on his mouth, stinging as hir saliva entered his cuts on his lips, then it changed to a moan and a whimper as hir tongue mated with his, probing and rubbing against his gums.
Finally, shi broke away with a sigh and a purr, hir eyes were glazed over with lust. Stroking his head softly.
"Oh hunni, you have no idea how long I waited for this... I missed your taste and smell. I don't wanna hurt you ever again, never." Shi said, tears streaming down hir cheek as shi gently gave him a hesitant hug.
"So do I, let's make up, after I get back on my feet again. And you have to give me massages every night, deal?" he said, winking.

Just then, the doctor walked in with a form and an ACM (Automatic Cred Machine), interrupting the couples intimacy.
"So, are you sure that you want to go through with procedure?" he asked Stephan.
"Yes, more than anything doc." He said, squeezing Sunrise's paw.
"Ok, well first, you mist sign this Medical Waiver and Insurance claim as well Terms and Conditions." He said, handing him the form. Sunrise took it and proceeded to read through it. Once shi had skimmed through it, shi handed it to Stephan to sign.
"So, when will I go in for the procedure?" he asked, scribbling his name on the dotted line.
"12:30pm and hopefully we'll have you back on your feet shortly." The doctor said, taking the cred-stick and inserting it in the ACM and deducted the payment.
"The good news hun, is if it fails, for what ever reason, they'll refund the money. No lose." Shi said, smiling.
"I hope that it works." He said, rubbing hir neck softly, making hir purr with pleasure.
"So do I sweety, we have a lot of things to make up for."
"What about you go shopping and purchase those things we were going to get, so at least we'll have a nice bed to sleep on when I return." He smiled, scritching hir ears softly.
"Ok dear." Shi said, grabbing the cred-stick from the doctor and gave Stephan a kiss on the lips, then shi turned to the doctor. "And you doc, take care of my beloved. Or else." Shi warned before leaving.
"It looks like you've got yourself one special young mate there?" the doctor said, completing the form.
"You're not wrong there." He said, smiling.
The doctor left and Stephan was left alone again, so he rested up before the operation, holding the card to his chest.
11:15am
Stephan was woken by the head nurse, a chakat named Starjewel. Shi checked his vitals, and he was please that his eyesight returned to normal. Excited, he opened the card to read what was written inside, and was surprised by a photograph falling out.
The picture was of Sunrise, fully naked and showing off hir firm breasts, especially hir erect nipples. Shi apparently had used his camera to take the pic and printed it out.
The card had a sweet private message.

Stephan smiled and re-read the card again, before tracing the outline of the picture of Sunrise, running his fingers gently around the curvature of hir breasts and face, thinking about touching the soft fur and feel hir heartbeat again.
Finally, the moment had arrived, and the doctor came in to fill him in on the procedure in more detail. He told Stephan that there was a risk that he could be paralysed, as they were going to inject nanobytes in his system to repair any injuries.
Stephan nodded and understood the risk, but told the doctor to go ahead with it.
Soon, after storing the card and picture with the other personal belongings, he was wheeled into the operating room and given a mild sedative to relax his muscles and ease the pain.
The doctor injected the nano-bytes, and Stephan could feel them, running through his body, repairing and regenerating the damage cells and tissues. They felt like ants crawling under his skin, ticklish and weird, but he just ignored them. Soon, he felt the result of their work taking place, aches and pains disappeared, and the injuries on his face vanished.
An hour later, the doctor did a complete scan and check up, then he nodded with satisfaction.
"The good news is that all seems well, ok Stephan wiggle your toes."
The toes on both feet wiggled, then the doctor did the same to his fingers, then he did the prick test with a needle, to see if the nerves had been repaired. Stephan responded to each poke and prod. He even told the doctor when he felt nothing, when the doctor said he poked and prodded his back, but didn't.
Shortly afterwards, Stephan was in the physiotherapist gym, walking using the rails. It was slow going, but he soon was able to walk again, slowly but surely. His muscles were stiff, but he was mobile, where 24 hrs before, he was in bed, plastered and immobilized.
At 3:45pm Stephan was discharged and he walked out of the hospital with the help of a walking cane, to be greeted by Sunrise, who had a personal PTV waiting. Shi gave him a huge hug and the longest wettest kiss, and he returned enthusiastically.
The trip home was full of cuddles and kisses, with a few gropes of breast and groin. Then they exited the vehicle and made their way up to the apartment. As Stephan entered, he noticed the change since he was admitted to the hospital. The lounge had the desk and chair for his homework and the television was mounted on the wall. The curtains covered the windows and a large sofa was situated in front with a coffee table. The phone was on the wall, already attached.
"How much was the sofa and coffee table?" he asked, turning to look at Sunrise with a questioning glance, and saw that shi was beaming with pride.
"$100,000 for the both of them, but I purchased them with my own money, as a thankyou gift hun." Shi said, smiling.
"You shouldn't have sweety, there's no need."
"Nonsense. Besides, it's good to have a place to sit and watch telly, unless you wanna sit on the floor?" shi retorted, then grabbed his arm and pulled him gently into the bedroom.
Once inside, he saw the difference the new mattress and curtains had made to the room. The pillows where large and Sunrise had also purchased pillowcases and a doona, which had a pattern of chakat cubs playing on a meadow, with 2 adult chakat parents watching and smiling. Next to the mattress was a nightstand with one of the alarm clocks sitting on top.
"Ok, how much were the nightstands?" he asked, looking at hir again.
"Free with the mattresses. Please, come on. I thought you would be glad with the work I did to get it ready?"
Smiling, he gave hir a hug and a rub up and down hir spines, eliciting a purr and a shudder. Then he crawled onto the mattress and started getting undress. When to his he was in his boxers, he moved onto his stomach and waited.
"Ok, time for my relaxation.' He said, looking back at hir, smiling as he saw that shi was already naked and moving to get onto the mattress with him. "Hold on, I'm coming, I'm coming." He yelled, clearing agitated.
Reaching the door, he opened it to be confronted by a huge grizzly bear morph, wearing a policeman uniform. He clearly had a look of seriousness.
"Yes?" Stephan asked, a little wary.
"Are you Stephan Glazer?" the officer asked in a growl like voice that sent Stephan's hair on the back of his neck to stand on end.
"Yes, that's me, what can I....OOOF!" Stephan grunted, as the bear slammed his right fist into his stomach, cutting off his question. As he doubled over in pain, the police officer slammed his fist down on his back, making him collapse to the floor groaning.
The bear officer stepped aside to let his partner through, a male equine, who proceeded to hand cuff Stephan, very roughly. Sunrise, upon witnessing all this, let out a screech and leapt at the police officer who was hauling Stephan to his feet.
But shi was thrown back by 5,000 volts of electricity as the stun gun was fired by the grizzly officer. Shi laid there, twitching and convulsing as the currents of electricity course through hir body, til shi slumped, unconscious.
"Mr Stephan Glazer, you have the right to remain silent..." the equine began, reading the Miranda rights to him, but he couldn't hear what was said, as he looked at the helpless motionless chakat.
Then he was roughly pulled and pushed out of the apartment, pass some of the other tenants and the landlord, who had a surprised look on his face. Then he was thrown into the back of the paddy wagon and driven to the police station. All the way there, he yelled and shouted and banged on the grill mesh that covered the window.
As he was shouting, his thoughts were not on his predicament, but on Sunrise, unconscious or even dead.
