A realization, a Reunion And Fate.
I stared up at Savage, my vision blurring as the burning feeling continued on the back of my neck. I wrapped my arms around his neck, holding him tight against me. The feeling very uncomfortable, yet accompanied by a somehow comforting thought that this was a very special thing happening. He ran a hand along the back of my neck.
"I'm going to switch over, babe." He told me, lifting my legs as I was still knotted to him and shifting so I was sitting with my back to him, on top of him, his knot slowly shrinking inside of me.
He reached up to my neck, tracing something that was far above where my tattoo was. He murred softly, paws falling to rest on my hips as he sat up, licking the back of my neck, and hugging me tightly. The feeling of him around me being so gentle and warm made me shudder against him.
"Are you two done back there yet?" Payne asked from the front seat, "We're almost there and you're being pretty quiet now..."
Savage chuckled nervously, "yeah, we're done, but there's this... thing..."
The curtain that separated the from and back of the van parted slowly and a nervous Payne poked his head through, when I looked out the front window everything was dark and lined with trees... but it had only been three in the afternoon when we'd left. I kept staring past Payne, and out the front window, totally oblivious to the fact that he was looking at me while I was completely naked and tied to Savage. Savage had pulled a blanket up to cover most of me, holding it around my chest with a hug.
"What... kind of thing, Savage?" Payne asked.
Savage cleared his throat nervously, "Well a mark, and I think I have it too, but it looks like two pairs of interlocking horns, sorta..."
He lifted me off of him and turned my back to Payne so fast I almost got whip lash. Not to mention the fact that the blanket had been pulled off of me. I yipped and hunched myself over protectively, trying to hide myself. Payne ran a finger over my neck softly and swore.
"What the fuck have you done, Savage? You're going to be in trouble." Payne warned.
"What? Why?" Savage asked, clutching onto me protectively.
Payne groaned in annoyance, "Hey moron, the interlocking horns are a royal mating symbol. Her papa's gunna roast you slowly on a spit over Hell fire..."
Savage sighed resting his head on mine, "So... I can't screw anyone else and neither can she, but I'm going to die?"
The van stopped suddenly and Sydney hopped out the front door, walking around and throwing the side door open, to throw Payne out of it and crawl in beside us, grabbing both of us by the back of our neck and pulling us behind him. We were in a strange world that looked like it was a copy of the real world, only it was falling apart yet redone to be habitable. I yelped and snarled at him, as there were demons walking about everywhere and I was still naked. He pushed us back roughly as he let us go.
He pointed at Savage, his anger apparent on his face, "I warned you, little brother, that we were compatible with the Devil's spawn and you went ahead and did... that."
He was pointing at me now with a look of disgust, and I shrank against Savage's side, hiding from Sydney in my new mates dark fur, holding back tears. Savage slid a comforting arm around me, holding me in front of his body, covering both of us in the process.
"Hold your tongue, big brother. We'll see what happens after we see Devil." Savage said arms holding around my shoulders protectively.
He pulled me back into the van and we got dressed. I was still embarrassed when we exited, but Savage seemed to be okay with everything, which gave me hope. I walked behind him, having no idea where I was going and he walked down an alleyway to a large grey building. There were two giant bleak gargoyles on either side of large glass doors, wearing guard uniforms. Easily twice my size. I shrunk against Savage's side, the guards didn't move an inch.
"So... what do they do exactly?" I asked Savage.
"They know who you and I are so they don't need to ask... they're here to keep the others out."
"Others?" I asked raising a brow.
Savage smiled down at me, leading me down a long brightly lit hallway, "You'll understand after you meet your dad."
"Right, do I look okay?"
"You look gorgeous, babe. He'll be proud." He said.
There was a strange look of possessiveness and affection in his eyes that I had never seen before. It gave me courage to open the door at the end of the hallway with confidence. As my paw touched the handle of the door it flew open before me, swinging inwards. The room was large and richly decorated with crimson walls and black and grey accents. My shoulders hunched in discomfort, no longer sure what I was doing. I looked at the door and saw a large black hell hound with silvery white eyes.
"Good evening little sister." he rumbled, nodding slowly, "Father will be in shortly. Make yourself comfortable."
"Thanks Draven," Savage responded, moving in behind me, hiding the new marking on my neck while he could, as his wasn't as noticeable through his thick fur.
He pulled me over to a large dark red couch and sat me down beside him, as we waited. It wasn't long before a tall male that looked like a combination of several different beasts, yet somehow still attractive, walked through the door, trailed by a humongous demon that looked like a feline but appeared to be made completely of flame, and a smaller female that was avian in features and all black, like a raven.
The taxidermy-esque male's eyes lit up as they fell upon me. I knew instantly that this was my father. He put out a large bear-like paw and took mine in it, lifting me off the couch with ease. He looked like he was about to tear up. How many kids did the devil have and why was I so important?
"My daughter... my only daughter." he rumbled, hugging me closely his body temperature easily over 150 degrees Farenheit.
Being his only daughter did make a little more sense in how much he cared... a little. I hugged him back, still a little shocked as he pushed me back and looked me up and down. Savage stood up off the couch, one of his hands resting on my lower back. as he walked up beside of me, his usually dominant tail low and his ears tilting back slightly.
"Mal, m'lord..." the woman addressed my father, tugging his arm softly, "I see... something different. Something new."
"Like what, Morrigan?" he asked, using a soft voice.
She looked me and Savage both up and down, then looked back at my father, "Well... I think these two have been fatefully mated."
"Truly?" he asked in shock, "Rant, is this true?"
I nodded nervously, pressing my back against Savage in fear of any repercussions. He stood by me, as calm as ever, hands rubbing my sides softly.
"This is... well it's unexpected, but not bad. It could be worse." He told me, looking at Savage, who was grinning. "I mean, after all he is royal blood."
The cat of flame behind Mal, my father hadn't said a word since he'd come into the room. He only watched. I assumed he was Mal's body guard, not that my father needed one. Until I found him staring intently and slightly discouraged at me.
"Oh, how rude of me... Rant, this handsome cat demon behind me is Nergal, our chief of police down here in Hell. He works closely by me as he knows my city in and out. He was going to be my choice for you, but..." he sighed, a large bear-like paw rubbing the back of his neck.
Nergal extended a hand towards me, "Nice to see you in person. You're as gorgeous as Sydney said yo would be."
Savage snarled softly as I took Nergal's hand, finding it fairly warm, but not burning me, "N-nice to meet you."
sorry it's so short... I'm not so good at concentrating tonight.
