Hello all, and welcome to part 2 of 2 of "One Last Try"

While I do not usually make use of others' IPs, I have seen a LOT of Pokémon material around here and I finally decided to give it a try. One Last Try is the story of Reed Winnin, a Pokémon Trainer who has never been very good at pokebattles, In addition to not being very bright, he also never really bothered to apply himself, and that has led to a lot of let-downs. To make matters worse, he's just about aged out of the bracket for teenage Pokémon trainer tournaments. Although he's committed to his partner, his lack of knowledge and drive means that neither have managed to succeed, but, after a particularly bad let-down, he finds one final opportunity to make it.

This story is part 2 of 2 and concludes the story regarding Reed and Pancham's fight for the wildcard slot in what is to be their final tournament. Marked adult interaction and pokephilia. I hope you enjoy!

Reed had never been truly affected by pre-match jitters but the realization at what was at stake had sunk in quickly and the locker room suddenly felt ice cold-- that, or he was shivering due to his nerves. He barely managed to respond to Karen as she stood there waiting for some response out of him. "I-I-I..."

His Pokemon spoke for both of them, staring with determination "Pancham!"

It was exactly what Reed needed to hear to snap him out of his paralysis. "You're right. You can handle it, Pancham. I believe in you."

Karen let out a sigh. "It'll be a long shot... but at least the cameras don't focus on faces and the contract says that Sid can't post your name. I know it's small consolation, but at least you'll have plenty of credits to--"

Reed slammed the back of his hand against a locker to get her to stop her nay-saying. "All that doesn't matter if we win."

Her lips thinned as her expression turned terse, but otherwise unreadable. "Sid doesn't cheat, so you're not going to be put up against someone who will completely crush you, but most of his stars are fairly competent Pokemon trainers in their own right, Reed... and you're up against Johnny Vice."

Despite Reed's dad's pure hatred of the 'Pokey-Man Pokemon' brand, like any teenager, the young man had done some exploration and found a few clips here-and-there online. Although he was by no mean an avid pokeporn watcher he recognized the name, and he knew Johnny Vice's Pokemon. Without missing a beat, Reed stated "So Pancham is fighting a Solgaleo."

She nodded. "Well, at least you've done your homework."

Only after Karen's statement did Reed realize just what his knowledge of the situation would say about him. Rather than try to quickly cover-up his admission of familiarity with Pokey-Man, he instead shifted the topic. "If you're sisters with Wendy then aren't you supposed to appreciate the Pokemon Tournament and Pokemon as a whole?"

Karen leaned back against the lockers. "I do. Wy?"

He seized the chance and pressed the issue. "If that's the case, why are you working for a guy like Sid Venderson?"

That expression of dire neutrality flashed across her face again and when she answered him her voice was heavy with something that sounded a little like displeasure. "Things aren't all that black-and-white outside the Poketournament world, Reed. Life is hard and sometimes it's the bad jobs that pay well."

Reed put his hands on his hips; off to the side Pancham mimicked him. "So you're working for a guy that abuses Pokemon?"

Karen cleared her throat, pausing to adjust the collar on her suit. "Clarification: despite Sid's many shortcomings, he make certain that all Pokemon in his productions are well cared for and monitored for health and wellness."

He didn't buy it, and said as much. "Even though they're forced to have sex with Humans?"

A wry, I-know-better-than-you smirk replaced her severe neutral expression. "Despite what a lot of people think, Pokemon have a very healthy sexual appetite. Sid doesn't make the Pokemon do anything they don't want to do and, in most cases, the Pokemon filmed are usually starved for sex. In case you haven't noticed, the Poketournament lifestyle doesn't really allow a lot of time for much other than fighting."

Reed honestly couldn't argue with that sentiment, but he wasn't about to let things sit like that. "Well, I still don't think working for a guy like that is a good choice."

Karen crossed her arms over her chest. "Well, unfortunately not everyone gets to choose their path in life. Sometimes rent and utility bills outweigh our options to hand-pick what it is we want to do for a living."

The trainer scoffed at that. "Bah... that's crap; everyone should choose their path because otherwise they're just a tool."

Pancham, surprisingly, didn't agree. "Cham. Pancham. Pan."

Reed suddenly had to fight a battle on two fronts. "What? No-- I'm not a tool. You and I chose this together. We decided to do it."

As a second surprise, Karen actually sided with him. "I understand what you mean, Reed-- I really do. That's the entire reason why I'm here talking to you. Sid does plenty of things I don't agree with so, when I can, I try to do some good."

He didn't bother trying to hide his doubt. "And how's that?"

She reached into her coat pocked and pulled a Pokeball out. Extending her arm to him, she offered it. "It's a gift... from Wendy."

The thought of Wendy knowing where he was immediately left a bad taste in his mouth; the fact that she was trying to help made it even worse. "I already have one. Thanks. It's always been Pancham and me-- we don't need anyone else."

Sighing, Karen leaned back against the lockers and shook her head. "I guess you really DIDN'T read your contract."

Reed scowled. "What's that supposed to mean."

She pointed to the paper that still lay on the bench. "It's a Pokemon transfer match; the losers have to surrender a Pokemon to the winner... and if you only have one Pokemon--"

The young man lost it at that point. "WHAT?!?!"

The world suddenly went upside down, spinning around him as his mind sought to catch up to the ramifications of what he'd just heard. If they didn't win then he'd have to surrender Pancham? Stuff like that didn't happen in the league! It wasn't allowed! Such a thing couldn't possibly-- His thoughts was interrupted when Karen stated "This is Sid's tournament entry program... that means it's his rules."

From off to the side Pancham spoke up "Pancham."

Reed put his palm to his forehead. "I KNOW, Pancham... but I didn't read it."

Karen continued. "Whenever Sid's trainer loses he usually pays off the winner to return the Pokemon. He likes to choose Poketrainers who have an emotional connection to their Pokemon-- especially ones who only have one. He uses it to influence and coerce them to work for him over several recordings. In your cases he'll probably leverage you to get to include your name on the video he plans on you making tonight."

The blows kept coming and, even though Reed was still dizzy from it, he also came to the realization that she really was trying to help. Reaching out, he snatched the Pokeball from Karen. "Fine... I'll take it... but I'm not gonna use it. We're gonna win anyway, so it shouldn't really matter."

She offered what looked like a smile a parent would use to humor a child. "I'm sure you will... this is just an insurance policy. If you lose then surrender that one instead of Pancham. Then you can get on with your life, and at least you get to keep your payout."

Reed didn't like relenting, but she had a point. Swallowing his pride, the trainer added the pokeball to his belt, hand starting to shake again. "Right... this is just in case. We'll win... I'm sure of it."

* * * * * *

The arena for the final match was not the same as the ones where the prior fights were held; as Reed walked out into it he felt the blood leave his face. While all of the qualifying rounds were fought in a small ring, Reed's fight against his ultimate opponent was in a proper arena... complete with audience. He didn't even realized he'd stopped walking until Pancham nudged him from behind. "Cham."

Reed started walking again, glancing back at his partner. "Right. I know."

Slowly strolling out to the center of the ring, he almost jumped when, half way out, a voice spoke over a loud speaker "Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome the first trainer in tonight's match: 'Reed Winnin and his Pokémon, Pancham!"

The round of applauses and whistles and cheers coming from the stands was simultaneously invigorating and intimidating; oh so many people to witness his victory, or far too many people to bear witness to his humiliation... and what came after the defeat. Beside him, Pancham put on his game face and raised a clenched paw. "PANCHAM!"

Reed swallowed his hesitance and forced his confidence to the forefront, mimicking the gesture. "Right! We'll do our best!"

The announcer continued before the doorway on the opposite side of the arena opened. "And, presenting our generous sponsor's contribution to this season's wildcard stack challenge, Johnny Vice and his Pokémon, Solgaleo!"

Although it wasn't obvious at first, the stadium had theater lighting and multiple spotlights zoned right in on the door; a moment later Johnny and his Pokemon emerged. Reed was intimidated immediately, not just because the opposing Pokemon was over eleven feet long and five hundred pounds, but because the opposing trainer was an adonis of a man; Johnny Vice was 6'1" and just shy of 200 pounds-- he looked like he was in his early or mid 20s, chiseled, with perfectly tanned skin and dusty brown hair swooping back over his head without even a single strand out of place.

He greeted the roaring cloud with a simple peace sign as he stepped onto his mark; Johnny's confidence was unmistakable, and things only got worse as the announcer stated "Solgaleo's last fight was against a Conkeldurr; does this poor Pancham even stand a chance? Let's find out! Trainers, get ready!"

Johnny winked at him, shouting across the distance "Good luck, kid."

Barely a minute later, Reed's head was spinning almost as much as Pancham's body as he sailed through the air. The announcer hadn't stopped speaking since the match began, talking about how every move Solgaleo chose was from his Psychic arsenal, which was strong against Fighting Pokemon; Reed hadn't known that, but it certainly explained why he and Pancham had always done poorly against them.

Clenching his fists and grinding his teeth, Reed stood silent, watching on in humiliation as Pancham was thrown around the ring, struck with attack after attack. It was a one-sided fight and, even as his poor Pokemon was bullied across the arena by the Solgaleo, all the young man could think about was how he wished it would be over-- but that only meant that his humiliation would begin. Ultimately, he no longer had to think about it as Pancham hit the ground hard... and failed to get back up.

There were plenty of things that Reed knew he knew about Pokemon, and there were things he THOUGHT he knew about Pokemon. For the longest time he'd had the understanding that Solgaleros were neither male nor female but, as the lion-like Pokemon turned its pale blue eyes towards him, Reed could tell that it was very VERY male; a long, girthy spike of red flesh hung down from between his hind legs. The Pokemon's yellow tongue emerged from its blunt muzzle and licked its blue-gray nose before slidng across it's lips. Without reservation, it approached him with what almost looked like eagerness in its eyes.

The announcer didn't miss a beat. "And it looks like we have our winner, folks! You all know what comes next! Reed Winnin... it appears your Pokemon has been knocked out. Are you ready to concede?"

Taking a step back, Reed held up a hand. "H-hey... wait a min--"

A bright light from beyond the four-legged Pokemon blinded Reed and a collective gasp flowed through the crowd. The voice coming through the loud speaker was the first to recover. "What's this? Ladies and gentlemen... it appears we have a change of fortunes! Pancham is-- yes! Pancham is evolving!"

The ground shook and a deep, gravly growl was accompanied by the threatening promise of "PANGORO!"

Even as the light faded, the overhead lights dimmed... mostly because of the enormous, towering, panda-like shape launching itself at Solgalero. The leonine Pokemon turned at the last minute, but it was too late to avoid a powerful punch that darkened the area around it further. Reed fell back away from the newly renewed battle. The announcer didn't miss a beat. "And Pangoro keeps things going with a Drain Punch; it looks like this fight is going into overtime!"

Pangoro shot a quick glance past his opponent, locking eyes with Reed just long enough to say "Pan. Pangoro."

The young man felt his eyes moisten at the words. Pancham had told him that nothing was going to happen to him, and Reed's partner had never broken a promise. There was something more to Pangoro's declaration at that moment, but Reed didn't have a chance to register the significance of it as Solgaleo followed up with an attack of its own; it didn't have the same effect on Pangoro as it had on Pancham and the large panda-like Pokemon followed up with a confident and predatory grin, flexing his paws and showing off some very dangerous-looking claws.

Solgaleo didn't relent, however, and charged right back in, slamming into Pangoro, but was met with a double-pawed slam. The announcer shouted "What's this? Pangoro used Crunch, and it's super effe--"

Not even giving the announcer a chance to finish his sentence, Pangoro brought his paw back and put his entire bodyweight behind his Iron Fist; Solageo dropped like a rock, eyes closed, and back leg kicking twice before going still. The entire arena went dead silent for several seconds until, at length, the stillness was interrupted by a bone-jarring roar of victory "PANGORO!"

The announcer's voice piped in over an uproarious cheer from the audience. "Johnny Vice... your Pokemon has been knocked out. Are you ready to concede?"

The handsome porn-star/trainer held out his hand, pokeball pointed outward. A beam of light shot out and illuminated his fallen Pokemon; a second later Solgaleo returned to its home and Johnny declared "We're done."

Just like that, Reed and his partner had won. He cried out in vindication. "PANGORO! We did it, bud! We did it!"

Pangoro turned back toward him, shooting him a sharp-toothed smirk around the stick protruding from his muzzle. "Goro. Pan. Pangoro."

Reed stood there stunned at the statement but he didn't have a chance to digest the confession of his partner as the announcer stated "Reed! Proceed to the winner's box. Pangoro, your prize is yours to claim!"

Still shocked by what he heard his partner of over half a decade say, Reed couldn't get his mouth to work. Pangoro approached him. "Pan. Pangoro."

The announcer spoke up. "Pangoro. You won. You may claim your prize."

Seeing movement out of the corner of his eye, Reed reflexively glanced past his approaching partner to see Johnny kneeling on the sandy floor of the arena, bending over to present his bare buttocks. Reed realized, however, that Pangoro wasn't interested in Johnny. He realized a lot of things in that moment. Not trusting his voice, the young trainer spoke at a whisper. "I know you do, Buddy... I love you too."

He found himself picked up by his enormous Pokemon, much in the same way as he used to do when his partner was a much smaller Pancham. A large black nose snuffled up against the side of his head as white furred lips brushed across his ear; a moment later Reed's face was licked by a tongue larger than his hand. His neck was tickled by the seedling held in Pangoro's muzzle when the Pokemon murmured. "Goro."

The statement caught Reed by surprise. Although the young trainer knew for the longest time that he had no interest in girls, he didn't realize until that moment that he had never really had much of an interest in guys. Reed's entire life since partnering with Pancham had been his Pokemon. Pangoro's insistent, vivid, and eager statement had elicited a response from Reed's body, and he was surprised at just how much he didn't mind the prospect... except for one problem. "Here? Now? With all these peo--"

It didn't seem possible for Pangoro's deep bass to go any lower, but the following statement somehow managed it. "Pan."

Reed didn't resist; he didn't really want to. "Uh... well... okay then."

Having never had time for relationships and lacking any confidence for physical intimacy, the young man had no idea what to expect beyond the basics of what he'd seen on the portions of Pokeporn he'd glimpsed, Reed would have lied if he'd said he wasn't apprehensive, but Pangoro's gentle nuzzle to the side of his face surprisingly helped, and when his newly-grown partner licked his collar bone he gasped; it felt good in a way he hadn't before experienced.

He was so caught up with the nuzzles, licks, and gentle nibbles that he hadn't even noticed that Pangoro had slipped his jeans clean off until he felt Pangoro's silky thigh leg against his bare thighs. Murmuring quietly, voice quivering, Reed said only "B-be careful, Buddy... I... I don't know how much I--"

His words were cut short as Pangoro let go of one side of his body, spinning him around like a windmill blade as easily as if he were twirling a piece of paper. Reed suddenly found himself upside down and Pangoro gripped him around his sternum, pulling the trainer against his fuzzy, robust body. Having no idea what was to come, the young man found his face full of abdomen fur. Taking in a deep breath of musky Pangoro scent he found himself caught between wanting to cough and inhale even more; in the end he did neither, gaspsing as an enormous, thick, salivating tongue delved between his buttocks into a very intimate place.

Before he knew it, Reed had two enormous handfuls of Pangoro fur in his fists, gripping them tightly as he squirmed beneath the ministrations of his large partner. He found himself wondering in the back of his mind if Pancham ever felt so overpowered when they slept together in Reed's bed back when he was a pre-teen. That thought remained on the back-burner however as Pangoro's tongue delved deeper, working Reed's virgin opening wider and wider.

There were moments when the ministrations caused the young man discomfort, but he didn't equate it with pain. A moment later, something thick and moist slapped against the back of his head, and he was immediate distracted by it. Loosening his grip of Pangoro's belly fur with one hand he reached back over himself and his fingers connected with something warm, slick, and very firm; Reed didn't need to guess to immediately know what it was, and it was a daunting realization. "Oh man..."

Unable to do much to change his position or get a glimpse of his partner's maleness, Reed continued exploring it with his hand. It's girth seemed to taper toward its tip but at its widest the young man would have guessed that it was almost as big around as a coffee mug. It was textured with what must have been thick veins near the surface because he could distinctly feel it pulsing in time with Pangoro's heart beat, which he could clearly hear pounding away next to his body. As he explored it, his partner let out a pleased rumble and the shaft gave a jump; Reed felt the back of his head get practically covered in slippery, viscous fluid. Pangoro growled out softly. "Goro..."

The Poketrainer smiled, glad that his partner enjoyed the feeling, but he didn't have long to dwell on that thought as he was suddenly spun back around and, before he could react, Pangoro pulled him closer still and pressed his broad, blunt muzzle to Reed's lips. He and Pancham had often relaxed by watching old movies before be and his Pokemon had wondered when they saw people kissing. Reed explained it as a show of affection and he thought nothing of it when, on one occasion, Pancham had mentioned planning on trying it some day; Reed never put the pieces together until that moment.

How long had Pancham felt that way? He didn't know the answer, but the question provided him some realization: his Pokemon wasn't alone in that feeling. His head swam when he felt the large Pokemon shudder when Reed kissed back. The Human managed to kick off his shoes and he pressed his feet down onto Pangoro's knees so he could stand and remain within his partner's grasp. Surprised at how much he welcomed it, Reed asked "You want to do this with me... don't you, Pal?"

Pangoro's confident, self-confident, toothy smirk was disrupted by what almost looked like a hint of embarrassment, but it was quickly overshadowed by an eagerness Reed had never seen before in his partner. The syllables slid out of the Pokemon's muzzle, spoken slowly and softly with lurid and lewd admission. "Pan.gor.o."

Reed's heart was beating a mile a minute as his feet moved inward, slowly sliding down the thighs of his partner until they encountered what lay between. Although he wasn't in a position to look down to see what would be in him, he had some major reservations. Regardless, just as with all of his Pokemon battles, he was able to push that fear aside; as long as he had his partner with him, he'd be alright. Smiling, he leaned forward to offer Pangoro a gentle kiss on his nose. "Me too, buddy... me too."

* * * * *

After his victory at the wildcard finals, the trainer and his Pangoro went on to place third in the tournament; it was the first time they had managed anything resembling a victory, and to actually be able to stand on the podium was an amazing way to conclude their careers in the Tournament circuit. That night they celebrated in private, having more time and more intimacy than they'd been afforded in Sid's arena. It had been an awkward first time for them both, but Pangoro didn't mind the thought of acknowledging their second time together was better to remember as their first.

Wendy showed up to talk with him before he left to return home. She explained a lot of things, like how she had a feeling he had 'that kind' of connection with Pancham and, when she heard he was involved with Sid's wildcard tournament, she knew she had to help. She also explained that the Pokemon she offered to him had a part to play as well; Reed didn't know that Pancham only evolved when their trainer had a Dark Pokemon on their team.

Not having asked anything about the Pokemon she'd let him borrow, he returned her Obstagoon to her without ever having summoned him. Reed was surprised, in fact, to know that Wendy had more than two Pokemon, having thought she was limited only to Lucario and Mankey. She clarified that, in fact, she had over one hundred, but that Lucario was her one and only partner. It had never occurred to Reed that the reason Wendy may have concluded her time as a Pokemon Trainer was because that she had an emotional (and sexual) connection to her Lucario.

It was strange, but also somehow reaffirming when she trusted him with that secret. He had always had a feeling that he and Wendy were on good terms, but being helped by her, and then introduced to her personal life created a connection that he didn't think he'd ever find with another person. Still, he wasn't interested in her 'that way', and she obviously didn't think of him in a romantic sense, but when she offered to help him start on the path of a Pokebreeder it didn't take long for him to weigh the options between that and returning home to his parents' house.

Two weeks later he got a vid-call from his mom. It started out pleasantly enough with the usual "how are you" and "what are you up to". From there, she gave him her love and a great congratulations on him placing third in the Tournament; apparently the news didn't travel very fast out in the country. Things got a little less pleasant when his dad's voice yelled from somewhere in the distance off screen "Ask him about that thing with the smut peddler! I swear to Mew if that boy had ANYTHING to do with Sid Venderson I--"

Although Reed's brain screeched to a halt when he realized his dad must have heard about the videos, Wendy, who had also been in the room and overheard the conversation, quickly slid up beside him and, as smoothly as if having an afternoon chat with friends, added "Who's Sid Venderson?"

Reed was thankful for the distraction, regarding her instead of the screen. "He's dad's arch nemesis... he makes videos of people and Pokemon... um... doing... stuff... together."

His mother interrupted the discussion. "Reed... who is this, honey?"

Wendy smiled, leaning against Reed's shoulder as she waved. "Hi Mrs. Winnin-- my name's Wendy Fitegood." She followed up by giving the young man a light punch to the shoulder. "Reed, I can't believe you didn't tell your mom you have a girl friend."

Reed didn't miss the separation between the two words that implied a female friend rather than a romantic love interest, but his mom did. Screeching and laughing and cheering and crying, Reed's mom left the screen and her calls off camera suggested she was breaking the good news to her husband. Glancing to Wendy, Reed simply shared her smile; she'd saved him twice in one week.
