F.U.R. Part 2
Sitting in a rather comfy armchair, sat Lan Alexander; charged for treason against the government of Earth. He had be ruthlessly arrested by his own brother. He had found the most secluded area in New York to hide out in. His navy blue eyes scanning the New England landscape.
"If only we grabbed some of the better ones," Lan spins around to the sound of the complaint. Sitting his fat ass on a small wicker chair was Andrew Sierra; snagged for extortion, and other various criminal charges.
"Well," Alexander answers melodramatically, "Did you want to try to wake one of our enemies to ask if you could have theirs?"
The big tiger was a little taken back by the brash question, "Well...no, but-"
Then a sound is heard, a metal-scraping metal sound, and Shawn Bertai walks through the door, holding a grappling hook and a bottle of Aspirin; his brown fur was covered with sewage and some else's blood. Shawn was "told" that he had killed a bunch of people in his sleep. He was finally convicted guilty for over 30 murders in a single night; none of which he remembers, "It's done. They won't suspect a thing now that the loose end has been...cut off," He sets down the hookshot and downs half of the white container.
"Excellent," Lan gets up from the chair, and peers over the edge of the hole in his new hideout, "Now that we have a solid plan, we play the most unexpected waiting game ever constructed."
Lan's Brother, David, was looking over his mission reports that survived the crash. The 2394 Warbird, licensed to Omega-Delta squad for prisoner transport. I was carrying over 200 of Earth's Deadliest criminals. they were on their way to a neighboring system when their reverse light drive went haywire. What it was supposed to do was keep them in the same time frame as when they left, but it sent them through a wormhole; knocking out communications and the drive itself. He slams down the papers, "Damn it! Why weren't we told that this could happen."
"Maybe, because we wouldn't be 'volunteers' in the test," David looks up at the pink skinned human. Michael was the only one that wasn't shaken up from the entire ordeal. In fact, he was loving it. He was ambassador for the two parties. Human were an almost extinct race back home, now he was surrounded by nothing but them. He saw supposed to talk about why they were thereon a talk show tomorrow, and David wanted all the facts straight. But he found more information then he ever wanted to know about their 'suicide' mission.
"Well..." May sighed as she brushed off her pants, "we have all we need, so," turning to Michael, "Try your BEST not to leave a bad impression on them."
They were sitting in a large five bedroom apartment that Winor gave them. It has everything they could need, and they made sure of it. Even though they had everything they could ever want, they felt trapped; trapped in a very comfortable cage.
David takes a drink of his beer and sets the empty bottle on the growing cluster on the table, "I still don't get why we were even something that wasn't stable enough to even get us 3 light-years in any direction,"
"David...David, give it a rest, what's done is done," Xavier pat his superior officer on the back
"What?" He looks up to the lizard.
"What's done is done...SIR!"
"Thank you for your support, but if this is the past, then why haven't we known about this?"
Everyone freezes, they haven't thought about it, why hasn't their superior officers notified a Search & Rescue team. Then Bones, who has been quiet since the crash, speaks up, "Maybe because this is a whole new timeline of the past."
The wolf raises an eyebrow, "You're saying that the wormhole sent us somewhere were we might not even exist."
"Exactly,"
They sit in the silence of the realization, "Well we can kiss rescue goodbye," May walk out of the room and a slam is heard from down the hall.
"So you're stuck here tell you can fix the ship?" the blonde haired reporter says to Michael who was wearing an impressive suit that has been supplied by Winsor's men.
"That's right Hanna, but it's more-" Backstage David is giving the human a hand signal to not talk about the exact cause, "-More then just fixing it. Being the CMO, Chief Mechanical Officer, I don't think that you have technology advanced enough to rebuild the complex engine."
"So you're stuck here."
"In a sense, yes, but until we are confirmed gone, and they try to find us, well be here."
"So, going to another topic, what are the batteries that you're wearing," Michael can tell that she getting an excuse to look there.
"These," taking the aqua one off, "are environmental charges. What they do is give us a short burst of power over the natural minerals around us."
The reporter reaches out "can I see it?"
Michael glances over to David, franticly waving his hands, "Uh...I've been told that they are very fragile, and we can't really replace them..." David shakes his head, "Sure if you are very careful." David smacks his forehead.
"It has a Wi-Fi symbol on it, care to explain," Hanna says, handing it back over.
"This one...Wi-Fi, what's that again. Oh, yeah. This causes seismic waves."
"Oh, dear. Good thing I don't know how to use it."
"Yeah, there's more, like one for ice, one for electricity, one for fire. In fact," replacing the one in his hand for the other tube, "This one can control earth."
"Well that's...fascinating...but I really want to learn about you and the others you came with."
Michael looks at David, who is mouthing the words 'only our names.' Mike looks back to the woman with the smile that a tiger has when they have prey in sight, "Well, as I've said, I'm Michael," pointing off stage, "My superior officer is David. There's May, the Phoenix; Xavier the Crocodile-Chameleon mix...I think. And then there's Bones; he's the skittish one."
"And what do you and your companions think of Humans, as a race."
"Most of them haven't seen more than two or three humans in one spot. We're a dying race back home,"
"How dreadful" Michael is starting to get a little pissed by her sarcasm. Then he eyes his glass of water.
"Personally, I think that it's weird that you don't have Tails."
Hanna's eyes grow wide, "You mean..."
Then a brown furred tail slips from behind him, gripping the glass, and bringing it to his face, "Sorry if that makes you...uncomfortable."
David adds yet another paw-shaped mark on his face.
