Hell Damsel
On the trail of a dangerous criminal, the half-demoness Kaira has her horse stolen and will have to depend on the charity of a strange.
It had taken Kaira three days to walk from the ruins where her horse had been stolen to the small outpost somewhere south of Crow City, a stubby little building that was little more than a refueling station for steam-carriages going east towards the Rainforest Territories.
The land was a shimmering coper oven. The noonday sun sailed through a clear sky, etching shadows across the cracked soil, edges as sharp as a razor blade. Vultures circled lazily on thermals, following the old trails in search of food. There wasn't a tree, bush, or even a rise in the ground to shelter her from the relentless sun. So, there had been nothing for it except to sling her bags over her shoulders and keep walking, putting one boot in front of the other.
Kaira walked under the scorching sun with mindless determination, her steps never faltering. Had she been entirely human the thirsty and heat would have reduced her to a charred husk, her very skin would have been flayed by the terrible sandstorms that ravaged the region.
She stood near seven-foot tall, plus a few inches if you counted her horns, most of her body covered with a heavy coat of rough fabric that defied the inclement sun, carrying on her shoulders a pair of leather saddlebags with her few possessions. Her thick, black hair was tied back, her face hidden by a rough scarf, but for her inhuman, golden eyes.
The hot desert air was heavy, scorching. The sky seemed higher, the horizons farther in that place of shimmering heat. There were vicious streaks of dark clouds off to the east, but approaching fast, a storm was coming. She kept looking for shelter, to be caught in the open during a storm was dangerous even for a creature like her.
Kaira sighed, rolling her head around to ease the neck muscles. She had been following the old trail for three days now, with only the distant hint of smoke guiding her towards what she hopped would be civilization, but as far as her eyes could see stretched the desert in all its fiery beauty.
Time drifted away, for the last quarter of a day it had seemed like the little cluster of buildings and corrals was receding rather than getting closer, for a moment she even considered if they could be mirages conjured by her tired mind. By the time she had staggered into the main building she was limping badly on sore feet.
Kaira slumped down on a bench on the main room of the outpost, the wood groaned as it took in her weight, those benches had been made to be used by regular humans. There were a couple of long benches around a large table made out of a solid piece of hard wood, now scratched and marked by long years of use.
The outpost's caretaker came in almost immediately through a door on the back, he was a spirited and energetic young human, short and skinny, his hair had grown too long here on the frontier and without anyone to cut it he had taken to use it on a pony tail, he still tried to dress with some elegance, but obviously lacked the coin to pay for well-made clothes.
“Welcome to the Last Stop refue…." Words escaped him immediately when he saw Kaira. Hard not to, her presence shone like a beacon, drawing the eye and firing the senses. For the first time in his life, he understood the meaning of the word “breathtaking".
She was sitting across the room, head thrown back as she took out her long coat and let her hair down, her clothes were dirty and stained from her long walk on the desert, her skin glistening with sweat. She wasn't human, not entirely, her skin was a deep shade of red, her eyes of a golden yellow, and on her head, there was a pair of curving, black as ebony, horns, on the lower of her back there was a long tail that ended in a hard spade. She was fierce, her sharp teeth and powerful presence spoke of a predator accustomed to take what she wanted. Her hair was of a deep black, cut scandalously short if she had been a human, she had the sides shaved, leaving it like a wild mane.
Under her long coat, her clothes were battered, ragged. She wore an armored jacket, steel plates sewn into the leather, under it she wore a simple white shirt now stained and ruined, her breeches were comfortable, reinforced with steel plates to protect her legs in combat. On her waist there was a large knife, but other than that she carried no other weapon.
“Now, miss… madam?" He blurted out, a tinge of fear in his voice. “I need your name… We aren't supposed to let… Well, your kind, I mean half-demons… Nephilins? Not that I have anything against you, but it's company police…"
Kaira slowly turned her head towards him. “I need water."
The quiet words had an instant effect on the man. His mouth dropped open and he said, “Why, of course, in a moment!" He spun on his heels and hurried back from where he had come. “Course you'd be wanting water! Be right back with some fresh well water!"
Kaira just sat there, slumped on the chair, not feeling much of anything except the pleasant absence of the sun. She took her jacket, blessing the Dark Mother for her tough skin and sturdy metabolism.
Then the young man was back with a wooden bucket of water and a metal cup. He set it on the bench by Kaira and took a couple of steps back.
“There, madam… miss? Drink all that you need and then I can get you something to eat from the kitchen," he said, incapable of taking his eyes from her.
Kaira plunged the cup deep into the bucket, the sensation of cold water against her skin felt glorious, seeping away the heat and revitalizing her flesh. She raised the glass and took it to her lips when the young caretaker spoke aloud.
“Don't drink too fast or you'll get sick, I have seen many couriers committing this mistake before!"
Kaira took only a small sip of the cold water, looking over him. His concern was adorable, few humans cared at all what happened to a being like her.
“Not my first time in the desert, human," Kaira answered briskly. “Thank you," she added despite herself.
The young man, his eyes following her every move with great attention, said, “If you need anything else, I have a medicine bag on the back, but if you need a doctor I'll have to call one from the nearest town with the telegraph," he said and then quickly added, “Or a mage, there a couple of mages in Crow City that I could call! Your kind is always being followed around by mages, no?"
The water had a stingy aftertaste, but it was refreshingly cold, and right now to Kaira it was worth its weight in gold. She drank a careful cup slowly, taking a small swallow at a time but never taking the cup from her mouth until she'd drained it. After that she filled the cup again and then brought it, brimming full, back to her lips.
“You won't call anyone," she replied between sips. “I need something to eat and drink, then I'll be out of here."
Kaira took stock of the building as she drunk the water, trying to occupy her mind so she wouldn't be tempted to drink too fast. The building was simple, made of rock and heavy timbers, the same they used in the railroad. The room was spacious, enough to accommodate at least twenty people easily, the constant hum of a small steam generator meant they mostly served personal carriages and not the large cargo haulers.
She could see the small kitchen on the back, and then a corridor that connected to another, smaller building. She guessed those should be the private quarters of the lone caretaker.
The water made her feel alive once more, she put the cup down and then said in a husky voice, “I got to get these boots off. Feet are in a hell of a shape."
“I can help you," the human said, and before Kaira could dismiss him he was already undoing her laces and carefully pulling out her old boots.
Kaira leaned back and slowly wiggled and pulled, slowly her stockinged foot emerged.
“Now the other one," In another moment Kaira was without her boots, the human put them aside as he took the bucket and cup, pouring cup after cup of water over Kaira' feet, drenching her socks, the sensation of the cold water against her feet so good that Kaira had to bite her lips to avoid letting out a relaxed moan.
Slowly, carefully, the human peeled off the thick, woolly socks, his soft fingers easing them along.
Too late, the human realized that he was staring at the half-demon's feet, guilty thoughts and unholy desires pressing into his mind as he tried to preserve his composure in front of her.
He raised his head to see that Kaira was staring at him, her head cocked to one side endearingly. Her gaze never left his and he was unable to look away as she slipped her foot between his hands.
“Go on, I could use with a good massage," Kaira said brusquely. “No one needs to know."
Too late, the human realized what was happening, his heart raced and he considered making a break for it or throwing himself through the window, but his treacherous body was frozen on the spot, feeling the weight of her foot between his hands.
He stood meekly, swallowing dry, and staring at Kaira.
“You look like a deer caught in the headlights," she spoke with a soft laughter.
He nodded meekly and felt like he might faint at any moment. His heart hammered and a hot flush spread onto his face.
“M-my name is Cassidy," he managed to say, voice sounding thin and labored.
Kaira smiled, a look of tarnished innocence mixed with unchecked desire. “Happy to meet you Cassidy, I'm Kaira."
“About that… I-I mean, I never... It's not…" He gave up and fell silent, unable to defend himself and unwilling to deny his desires.
Kaira closed her eyes and exhaled softly as Cassidy caressed her foot, the delicate fingers pressing against her thick skin, extracting long sounds of delight that were tainted with lust. His own excitement was growing, building as an uncomfortable, guilty erection.
Cassidy took hold of Kaira's right foot, rested it on his lap and stroked the tips of his fingers up the half-demoness' lower legs, up to her knee. His touch was soft electricity, sending ripples of pleasure with every touch. Kaira flexed her toes, enjoying the massage, her toenails painted of a vivid blue. This delighted Cassidy, his face lighting up with a filthy smile as her toes curled because of his touch. He raised Kaira's foot and inspected the sole, drawing a single nail up the soft flesh of her arch. The half-demoness flinched involuntarily, gasping at the esquisite sensations that resonated trough her body, her normally hardened skin made it impossible to sense such soft caress, but every touch from this human was irradiating with pleasure.
He raised her foot, pulling it close to his mouth. Kaira could feel the warmth of his breath on her sole as he lingered there for a moment that seemed to stretch forever until his tongue stretched out and touched her toe, drawing it in his mouth. Kaira reached behind her, her claws digging into the hardwood table, leaving marks as she stared at Cassidy with hungry lust.
Cassidy took her toes slowly into his mouth, the warmth and wet tongue caressing them, kissing and licking eagerly. It drove Kaira wild, her pussy ached with every gentle flick of Cassidy's tongue. She moaned as he slowly pulled his tongue across her sole from the heel to the tips of her toes.
As he turned his attentions to her left foot, without thinking Kaira's hand fell to her pussy and begun rubbing herself over her pants. Cassidy took her toes into his mouth once again and Kaira felt her clitoris swollen and demanding.
Cassidy rubbed the sole of her foot on his face, drowning in the sensations it aroused in his body. He kissed the sole repeatedly, he could feel Kaira's heart thundering with lust. His own breathing quickened, his body was feeling every jolt of pleasure with an intensity he had never knew.
Kaira suppressed a smile, biting her lips to hold herself from moaning aloud. “I'm a mess. I'd give a pretty penny to get washed off."
Cassidy said, “You got clean clothes?"
Kaira nodded toward her bags. “Oh, yes. But I ain't putting them on as filthy as I am."
Cassidy began bobbing his head. “Just wait here, soak your feet for a while and I'll go out back and get a bath ready for you, how that's sound?"
Before Kaira could answer he was already rushing out of the room towards the back.
“Not too hot!" Kaira yelled after him. “And nothing of those floral soaps!"
