Maniacal laughter rung out through the night.

Arci perked. Either someone was having a proper goof or someone hadn't heard of subtlety. It was definitely something to check out just in case. Running across the rooftops, he found the source of the nefarious guffaw.

A black leopard wearing science goggles and a white lab coat was holding what was definitely a ray gun, laughing loudly.

The skunk released stored momentum, launching from the edge of a building towards him. There was still some chance that it was an actor practicing his evil laugh...

In the middle of the night

Outside

In an industrial zone of the city...

Arci landed.

The feline started at the sound of boots on pavement so close to him, whipping about. "No one can stop Dr. Spots!" He visibly shifted his finger to the trigger as he leveled the ray gun at Arci.

The mephit rapidly raised his leg and snapped his knee back towards his hip, connecting with the weapon on his boot's heel.

A glowing beam of energy lanced over Arci's shoulder as the gun went flying and cracked audibly against the bricks of the wall nearby.

"Why do all you bad guys have ray guns?" The skunk quipped as he planted his boot back to the ground, eying the shocked feline. "Are bullets really that expensive or are firearms just too loud?"

The sound of complaining, screeching tires filled the small loading bay from the direction the energy had gone. Oddly the sound was raising in pitch and decreasing in volume the longer it went on. When Arci looked back to see, a white van was shrinking down towards the size of a toy. The tires were never meant to deal with that sort of movement against the asphalt, obviously.

Another sound grabbed the skunk's attention the other way. Departing footsteps. He looked back to see the lab-coat wearing cat was attempting to book it. Releasing momentum, Arci flung himself forward, corkscrewing at the hips. His right boot hooked over the leopard's shoulder, before he reversed his rotation, curling his knee.

The leopard was unable to react in time as his head was yanked back by the motion, only darkness covering his vision.

Arci stopped his spinning again, ending up with his knees pressed to the villain's shoulder blades with his thighs grasping his head tightly between them. He wrapped his long, fluffy tail around the running cat's limbs, cocooning him in the padded limb in an instant. All it took was his weight to topple the feline.

The apparently mad scientist did his best to flail, but his arms were quite pressed to his sides, and his ankles had been well strapped together. He muffledly cried out in frustration, trying to determine what was blind folding him.

Arci cancelled his momentum just before his boots struck asphalt, the head of his opponent wedged between his thighs and calves and the rest of his body securely held in his caudal appendage. He panted with the exertion, and settled, his weight pressing down a bit more as he looked around. The shrink ray lay sparking on the ground, clearly broken. The van behind him had stopped shrinking at about the size of a die cast replica.

The feel of corded quads against his shoulders, as well as the boot heels brushing against the top of his cranium soon allowed the jaguar to put together what position he was in. His cheeks flared up as he realized that the soft, muffling warmth wrapped over his face was that super-skunk's posterior! He mewled in quiet distress.

The young hero wasn't thinking about that, however. He heard the sound of protest and squeezed his thighs together. "Quiet you." He paused. He'd never outright caught a villain like this before. Sure he'd ensnared a few muggers, kept them bound up until their victims were safely away. He'd let the muggers off with stern warnings. After all, petty crime wasn't the problem with society.

But this cat had tried to shoot him with a shrink ray. That was a whole other thing. He bit his lip, pondering.

The jaguar, however, was breathing shallow. He could just barely get the air he needed to breathe, but all of it was scented with the odor of lycra and the earthy scent of a gymnast who had been out doing flips all night. His blush wasn't going away, and he squirmed, earning another squeeze of those padded thighs. He was glad the hero couldn't see the dumb smile creeping across his muzzle.

Arci unzipped a pocket on his jacket and pulled out a small cell phone. Prepaid burner, with one number programmed into it. He pressed speeddial.

The phone rang a couple times, before he heard the familiar voice on the other side. "Arci, I swear if it's Dominion again..."

"Nuh, no wolves tonight." The skunk muttered dismissively. "I've got a bad guy restrained and I don't know what to do with him."

There was a long pause over the phone, and Morpheus replied. "...jail. He goes to jail."

Arci facepalmed and rubbed his gloved palm across his snout with exasperation. "No I mean... what? Do I throw him at the pigs with a sign taped to his chest saying what he did like I'm pet shaming or what?"

Morpheus chuckled. "You know, I should try that. But literally throwing him miiiiiiight be considered assault..." He sighed, getting to the point. "I normally walk crooks in as a cop. Desk-faces usually don't try to pull rank..."

The skunk squeezed his tail and thighs tightly as he yelled into his phone. "I CAN'T SHAPESHIFT LIKE YOU."

The villain cat twitched and quivered as his face was sealed into the crook between the curvy skunk's rear and the shape of his protective cup for a few moments, restricting his breathing. When airflow returned it was even more deeply laced with the definite masculine odor between the skunk's legs.

"Alright, alright..." Morpheus placated. "Got any rope? Goal is to tie him up above the elbows, arms behind the back. Figure eight pattern." The more seasoned hero explained. "Gotta be careful not to get too tight... how do heroes do that without metamaterials...?"

Arci rubbed under the padding of his goggles with a fingertip, closing his eyes. "I don't need rope to climb, so I didn't think I'd need it... Got this guy pinned up in my tail right now."

"I'm guessing if you're calling me he wasn't just robbing a liquor store." Morpheus understated.

"He was laughing maniacally and tried to shoot me with a shrink ray." The skunk explained.

The jaguar grumbled and fidgeted disgruntledly, before taking a slow, deep breath.

"Black leopard, lab coat?" Morpheus asked.

"Yeah. Think he said his name was Mr Spots?"

The cat squirmed harder, muffledly yowling. "DOCTOR!" This turned out to be a bad idea because not only did it mean his open mouth was exposed to the buildup of musk, but the powerful legs around him squeezed again, forcing it in more snugly.

Morpheus sighed. "Yeah. Hand him in."

Arci pondered this, when he noticed a vibration in a very intimate spot. His eyes widened behind his goggles and he took his phone away from his ears to listen. "Are..." He looked down, a blush coming to his cheeks. "ARE YOU PURRING?"
