Lying in bed, curled up awake, unable to sleep, this poem I make.

I am the raven flying free

No nest to roost, no sleep for me

I am the tiger who hunts on his own

By tooth and nail I come undone

I am the ocean, deep and cold

Hidden old legends forever untold

I am the solitude in the air

Wandering endlessly everywhere

I am a star, shining my light

Far in the distance of endless night

I am the sand of mountains long gone

Forgotten in ages of stone and bone

I am the future, I am the past

I am everything that wouldn't last

I am all things, and I am none

But when I'm with you, I'm not alone
