Bowser, the King Koopa, decided to put together a masterpiece plan to get Princess Peach's heart all to himself finally. This time the all-time villain Bowser used an ancient Egyptian spell from Sarasaland to turn Paratroopas invisible.

Sarasaland certainly was an odd, but yet extraordinary place. Starting by the very name, the word Sarasaland came from the Calico language brought by Portuguese traders from India to Japan. The country was divided by four independent kingdoms; Birabuto Kingdom, Easton Kingdom, and the Chai Kingdom.
Although every single one of them was unique, Bowser was interested in only one of them. The Birabuto Kingdom specifically. The Koopa, or King Koopa, if you so prefer, was a dragon-like anthropomorphic creature who had an extreme cause of pure love for the Princess Peach. Bowser's love was so total that the King couldn't help but to find himself always scheming plans in order to kidnap the royalty and keep her for himself.
And this time, one of his plans had its foot planted firmly into the Birabuto Kingdom. That domain was nothing more than a vast desert but, at the same time, much more than just a desert. New findings of the region reported a new kind of spell which promised to the one who possessed it the ability to sneak anywhere unnoticed.
The existence of such a finding could inaugurate a whole new category of magic spells! A total breakthrough one could say. The King Koopa could barely contain himself, and by acting like someone who was suffering from a severe, destructive and powerful anxiety, he was adding some quite good tons of stress and even anxiety as well over his advisor's life.
Kamek, the powerful Magikoopa, was in charge of the hardworking task of studying, decode, and resolve the spell's language. He basically needed to find out a way to make it work, and he needed to do it fast. After all, he couldn't let the King waiting for too long.
The old Magikoopa was doing his best. Being forced to deal with the ancient parchment, Kamek was in the middle of a battle between how he could read that thing without inhaling too much dust and how he could manipulate it without destroying the document into pieces given its aging nature and fragility.
In the meantime, Bowser was so sure that the spell in question could give him such an advanced strategic position over the plumbers that despite the fact his adviser wasn't making any consistent progress yet the King Koopa was already doing plans in his mind on how he could test the spell's effectiveness first. He didn't want to put everything to lose. After all, it was one of those opportunities that he couldn't miss.
After pondering about the topic for some good minutes, the Koopa finally came with a plan. Not exactly a masterpiece of a plan, but it was at least something. Bowser gave orders to put together two large divisions Paragoombas and Paratroopas; all the members of the two divisions must be at their fully developed form. Meaning that they should all have winds.
Bowser's idea was simple but brilliant. At least it was to him... The two massive detached divisions were instructed to spy at the King Bowser Koopa himself. If they can do that successfully without being noticed by Bowser, then the Koopa would have no doubt that the Princess heart would be all on his hands, and there would be virtually nothing that the plumbers could possibly imagine to do to avoid and reverse it.
The king commands are orders; therefore, it didn't take much time to prepare everything, and the comprehensive test was ready to begin, I mean it was supposed to be. But there was just a small detail missing: Kamek hasn't made much progress at understanding the ancient Egyptian parchment at all.
The stress was high, and the old, powerful Magikoopa didn't want to put his good reputation at stake. But, Kamek was quite aware he couldn't go on with that any longer, he needed a break to take some fresh air. That was the moment the Magikoopa decided to put not his magic, but his good brain to good use.
Kamek remembered they had some new... interns available... one could describe the situation that way. He decided he could get one of the interns to do the hard work of translating the old paper while he was relaxing and then be back in time to apply the spell himself. By doing this, the senior Magikoopa would only just manage to please the King, but also keep his reputation at an all-time high.
However, one thing Kamek completely ignored was the Bowser's obsession over the Peach. The Master Koopa was already using his anti-anxiety mechanism, a photo of the Princess with Mario, but with Mario's face cut off and his own face overlayed on its place. The King Koopa couldn't wait for any longer Kamek any longer, he decided to go there by himself and get some answer.
Still, as soon as Bowser arrived at the room where his adviser was supposed to be hardworking, he did not find the senior Magikoopa, but instead a young newbie on his place. The "intern" was handling the parchment almost destroying it and its information, he was doing his best, but he just didn't have the required ability to deal with such a thing. Watching that tragic scene made King Koopa go furious.
The intern found himself in a trickier situation. On the one hand, he didn't want to disappoint Kamek, who "especially" selected him for such a critical task, but on the other hand, he also didn't want to risk committing a massive mistake right in front of the King Bowser Koopa.
And it was at that moment that he knew he fucked up, I mean... He didn't exactly know, not yet. But that was only because he was young and an intern. The inexperienced MagiKoopa gave two steps back before telling the King he didn't need to worry any longer, he said Kamek was an excellent magician, but he was tired and getting old.
Snapping his finger, meanwhile executing an astonishing pose to the King Koopa, the intern just said.
"This is it, you can now go and check by yourself."
The naturally huffy face almost always impressed on Bowser's face disappeared soon afterward. The huge Koopa gave his back to the innocent intern and moved out of the enclosure hotfoot, he could barely contain himself to get back to his normal activities to make the tutorial mission of his newly formed the more trustworthy as it could possibly be.
In the meantime, the intern was left behind, wondering to himself. The young Koopa was actually an outstanding intern, he was indeed very close to decipher and understand the ancient spell. But, due to Bowser's anxiety and arrogancy, he got to rush it. The only thing which came to the intern's mind was another spell he learned some while ago, that spell seemed to be quite similar to the one Kamek was working on. But they were not the same, that is for sure.
The two large divisions constituted by Paragoombas and Paratroopas were a little bit lost, to say the least. The landscape was vast and endless, and despite the strong, intense light, they couldn't see much of anything else. But what was so odd about the place was the fact it was a plan, really really plan.
Completely different from any other world or country that existed in the Mushroom Kingdom, this kingdom, realm, location or whatever it was didn't have any mountains, any bricks, any hills, any pipes, not even cloud in the sky! The realization of that alone was quite scary, but even worse was some slow, subtle tremors in the background, very far away.
But the Troops didn't allow themselves to get frightened by some ridiculous, puny intense seismic incidents. After tall, they were Paratroopas... They decided to fly up above in the air so they could have a better look around the perimeter. However, the situation of the landscape remained pretty much unchanged.
The Paragoombas who remained on the ground were also trying to achieve some tactical progress related to the field subject. But, the only thing they managed to accomplish to so far was the understanding that whatever it was the source of the light earthquakes they were all experiencing, it was not an ordinary source of a seismic event. Not really. Because it seemed to be moving.
Whatever it was, it seemed to be a slow-changing position temblor. Everybody knows the epicenter of an earthquake can't change places. But it was like the Paragoombas division on the ground could definitely sure that the thing in question was moving, and even worse, that it was moving closer to their location.
The feeble earthquake started to become even more powerful by the second. It didn't take much time after that to that quake, which could be described as a small discomfort, to evolve into a very concerning seism. Even more than that, apart from the tremor, there was an increasing booming sound too, but it was more than that.
Perfectly synchronized with the loud thumbs, there was also a background slapping sound very loud, even louder than the impact sound itself.
It wasn't until the source of all that havoc like events revealed itself to the valiant troop divisions that were on the ground that they understood how precarious their situation truly was. The cause of all that was just Kamek, the King Koopa adviser who was coming back from his self given rest to work.
Kamek had no idea about the decisions of his intern; neither he knew about the existence of two entire divisions of Troopas on the floor of the corrector, which the large Magikoopa was casually walking by now. But, one could say that the situation was quite fair since the Troopas themselves didn't have any idea about their new size either.
The old MagicKoopa was still relatively far away from the location, but he was getting closer. However, even if far away, his size was already impressive from the perspective of the poor, micro-sized Paragoombas, and even to the Paratroopas who were flying up above. Judging by Kamek's relative size in the horizon and his distance from the spy divisions, they assumed they were probably ant-sized.
As Kamek was getting closer to them, the details of the MagiKoopa body became more noticeable. The first one out of them it was the clouds. The so missed clouds which any of them couldn't see before now started to reveal themselves to them as smog that seemed me to be circling around the body of the gargantuan MagiKoopa. In reality, what the divisions were witnessing was nothing, but some sweat out of the elderly Koopa body evaporating and turning into small sweaty clouds, from their puny perspective, of course.
They needed a plan, now that the fact something went wrong with the ancient spell became self-evident. After some short minutes of discussion, the two teams agreed that the Paratroopas would try to fly upwards as high that they could and see if they could manage to grab even if a small part of the gigantic Magikoopa's attention.
Simultaneously, the Paragoombas would try to see if they could manage to get a ride on the insole of Kamek's sandals. That was definitely not a spy mission, or maybe it was. But only slightly different from what they have been instructed or could imagine.
Anyway, they must be attentive and watch out for Kamek's steps. They need to clock the time between his paw-steps. Even the minuscule mistake could result in all of them or a large amount of troops members of the division being utterly pulverized underneath the massive magician sandals. However, they would find out very rapidly; their little plan was easy said than done.
As Kamek approached that spot on the corridor, his paws began to look larger and large. The seismicity they were creating with their impressive movements increased tenfold and talking about remarkable moves. Unlikely, one could think it wasn't because the Paragoombas and the Paratroopas were now quite small and that the laws of physics changed.
Kamek was still moving at his usual nostalgic speed, but to the spy divisions on the floor, it was stunning how much ground the old, massive-sized MagiKoopa could cover with one single step and even more impressive it was how fast his enormous paws could move given their tremendous size. Not to mention that the small/quite big detail that each paw was carrying along with them a monumental toe sandal.
As Bowser's adviser got closer, the first challenge to the troops kick-off. It came in the form of overpowering winds. The drag and push fluid movements Kamek's paws were executing were generating some small storms around the ground. They were not all that strong, not yet. But they would be. Perhaps the punny Troopas should consider some changes to their plans and fast.
Though, as they were in the middle of the process of changing, something grabbed their attention. It was a rain, a rain made out of pure debris, dust, and sand falling from the grooves and enclaves on the surface of Kamek's sandals. Some of the dust failing was twice the size of the ant-sized Paragoombas. If one of those massive dust balls hit them, they would undoubtedly lose their winds, at best.
Both divisions were shocked by the scene they were witnessing to the point they completely forgot about to execute the plan. Unfortunately to them, time wasn't on their side, and by the time they actualized, they needed to hurry up was too late.
Paratroopas who were flying mid-air were the first ones to suffer the effects of the approaching giant. Even from a distance, Kamek's steps were displacing so much air and at such considerable speed that they lost the winds in an instant. The Paratroopas were falling down back to earth with no control, some of them even making some great loop, acrobatics before landing.
It wasn't a nice landing either; some of them even landed on top of some Paragoombas who were on the field, also making them lose their winds. It was like a horror nightmare movie, and the titanic Magikoopa wasn't even close to them.
The Paragoombas team, who were in charge of jumping onto the massive magician's insoles, seemed to have a better time organizing the execution of their task. However, as the sandals of the towering Kamek got closer to them, they realized it wasn't going to be easy. In fact, they would need to have the perfect timing, given their sheer size and fast-moving speed paws.
As the paws approached, not only their sheer sized increased even more, but so it did their power over the tiny, pathetic, little world on the hall floor which the master, elite spy division selected by the Koopa King himself now inhibited. Since they were facing the front part of the sandals, they could all see the Kamek's toe-claws softly drilling through the sandal's material with each step.
That was a terrifying scene to watch, of course, and it became even more hideous at the moment they remembered themselves that was where they should go if they wanted to have any chance of reversing that terrible incident and return to their standard size.
The loud thump sound produced by the paws landing was at maximum, and so was the overpowering quakes. Despite the extreme circumstances, the Paragoombas team knew they needed what they needed to do and that they needed to do it now. They got together in formation, and in defiance of the powerful winds, they managed to execute an ultimate jumped aligned with a mastery level skill of their wings; the majority of them landed on the gigantic sandal's insole as planned.
A small portion of Paragoombas in the team didn't have the same luck, and they ended up falling off out of the perimeter of the sandal. By the time they could get up and recover it was already too late to prepare a new formation required to execute another try, and even if they could even manage to do that, they had already lost their winds with the immense fall from the top of the insole back to the floor.
Kamek simply lifted his paw again in preparing himself to give another step forward, wanting to return to his room so he could get back to work on that ancient piece of material and make him King happy. It never occurred to him that right now on the floor and right in front of one of his paws, there was an entire small group of Paraboombas begging him to stop and yelling at the top of their lungs to get his attention and make him stop.
As the sheer sandal raised up in the air, some of the Paragoombas got sucked along with it due to the rigorous air movement upwards. The ones who luckily remained on the floor had some slightly better chances of surviving since they could see underneath the sole, meaning that they could see the sole's groove looming high above, and they could try to guess where the trenches would probably land.
However, two details were playing against the poor Paraboombas on the floor, and the first one was the speed in which the sandals were moving, but the second was the diameter of Kamek's sole trenches. The grooves were as large as buses, and due to the speed which they were moving, it made even more of a challenge to predict where they were about to land somewhat precision.
Keep in mind that the sandal is moving in at least two different directions at the same time, both forwards, upwards and then downwards. A very complex and hard track set of movements.
They were running short on time, some Paragoombas managed to get a good position by running as fast as their small feet could allow them to run. But some other members of the team didn't have the same luck at all, and by the moment the gigantic, titanic, and all-powerful sandal landed on the floor, about two-thirds of the team was simply gone! It was like they had never existed at all!.
The ones who were still there watched the whole scene, but it wasn't like they were safe. No, not yet. As Kamek lifted up that same paw upwards, stepping forwards once again, the intense air subsection carried them all along, and that was how the last, poor survives got all stuck to the sandal's sole among debris and dust just like they were more of it. It was highly unlikely Kamek or someone else would notice their presence down there.
The other division of Paragoombas, who made it to the surface of the sandal, found themselves staring at a whole new landscape. This time it was even more impressive than before because it was a living landscape since they were in the valley, which was nothing else but the space between two of Kamek's toes.
Every time Kamek was about to give another step with the paw that they happen to find themselves riding on the two walls like toe-flesh surrounding them would contract and move its tendons in a very frightful matter. One could even say if a member of the team happens to find himself to close to one of those fleshy at the moment Kamek was even slightly flexing his toes, the movement of the tendons alone could send the poor Paragoomba in question flying a few meters backward.
The division was still awe shock; they knew they needed to discuss and decided what they were going to do next. But they couldn't stop staring at that massive Koopa extending himself out into the heaves, not to mention the slight scent of the MagiKoopa's paw sweat, which was now forming their new atmosphere. It wasn't super strong, but it was noticeable given their new size and proximity.
Nonetheless, it was only then they realized something terrible was happening right underneath their gaze. At first, The Paragoombas refused to believe it was happening, or that it could even be happening at all. Maybe they didn't notice it before because they were all on the floor and everything around them was very plan, and they didn't have anything to compare themselves against. But now, being so close to Kamek's toes and the sandal's features as well, they were able to notice what happening clearly than before.
They were still shrinking! Very slowly, but they were! That was definitely not good news because there is no telling how small they could, or better saying, they were going to get. However, to their luck, a small group of Paratroopas that still had their winds intact and was capable of flying approached their location and landed nearby.
After a small conversation, the group agreed that the best thing to do would be to let the Paratroopas try their chances with the tough task to fly upwards as much as they could to see if they could manage to put themselves at the same level with Kamek's eyes. Meanwhile, the group of Paragoombas would be trying to do the same, but their path would be totally different as they would be forced to push their abilities to run and jump to their limits in order to climb the massive Magikoopa's body.
The game started. Using every single uphill formed by skin, muscle, veins, tendons, and much more on the colossal Magikoopa's body as bricks to jump onto the Paragoombas were running through the level which could be named as Kamek's realm, literally. That was probably the most difficult level they would ever run through and finish if they even manage to finish it at all.
The movement of the body's muscle out of the gigantic Magikoopa made the terrain move and change its shape almost all the time, not to mention the effect of change in gravity, which added to the physics of their level. It was sure, even if seeing from far away, the most arduous level someone could ever be forced to stand. But the poor Paragoombas didn't have much choice. They had to make it to the end of the level; if not, they would never reach their final goal.
But, as if their current level couldn't get any worse. Kamek decided to take a different path back to his room, one that included stairs. Out of suddenly, and with no warning at all the movements, the Magikoop was executing with his legs changed. In an instant, the whole posture of the muscles and tendons out the titanic magician changed as well, meaning a massive change in the scenery which the tiny, ant-sized, poor Paragoombas were being forced to go through.
Some of the Paragoombas who were mid-air didn't have enough time to recalculate their route, and they ended up missing their landing target, falling out of the advisor's body towards their doom. Some others unhappily found themselves in a collision course with massive, concrete-hard tendons like walls that formed out of nowhere right in front of them.
Those who were lucky enough only lost their winds after hitting face-first into a warm, living brick wall. After taking a small break to reorganize and check how many of them were still there, the little Paragoombas could only hope that the Paratroopas team was having a better time trying to grab Kamek's attention.
The good news was that the Paratroopas team was indeed having a better time at their mission. But, by the time they got to be eye level with Kamek, it seemed to be too late. The slow shrinking process, probably side effect from the wrong spell the young intern's cast on them, didn't have any mercy of the Paratroopas team, not at all.
To be fair, it looked like they were shrinking faster than the Paragoombas team. It was hard to say for sure, but Paratroopas certainly looked much smaller than ants now. They decided it would be an excellent idea to pause for a moment and think about a new strategy, one that would fit their new size better.
Although, it seemed one member of the team was too terrified or desperate, or maybe it was both at the same time. He decided to completely ignore what the rest of the team was doing and run right into the massive Magikoopa face with no concern for the consequences.
Maybe he didn't see it, or perhaps he just didn't even realize what he was doing. But he was heading towards the gigantic Koopa's snout. Kamek had no idea what was about to happen or to what his body was about to do. Yet, a straightforward exhalation of air was all it took for the puny, insignificant Paratroopa to be erased out of the existence by the overwhelming amount of highspeed winds evacating Kamek's nostrils.
After watching that hard scene in shock, what was left out of the elite spy team, carefully selected by the Koopa King, decided they could slightly increase their lot by separating them into two different teams. There was a considerable disadvantage in doing this because given their current size, the less of them together, the harder it would be to get the attention of a titan so imposing as Kamek became if compared to them.
The first team was instructed to head towards Kamek's eye pupils. The first obstacle was the advisor's pair of glasses. The object was large once they got closer enough to be side by side to it, and wasn't going to be a good idea to get any closer to it than necessary.
Compassing the massive glass barrier, the Paratroopas team seemed to be closer to victory and closer to finishing that horrific level. But then, something that they hadn't count for happened. Kamek simply blinked his eye.
They barely had time to look up as giant eyelids moved down on top of them. The eyelids didn't hit them at all, but some of the building-thick eyelashes did, and it was a significant, hard impact. An impact powerful enough to send the poor Paratroopas falling into a screw movement towards the surface of one Kamek's cheeks. Even the team members who weren't directly hit lost their wings, thanks to the force of the displaced air.
The first team was now set back on their goal of finishing massive, almost endless levels. Their hope now rested on the shoulders of the second Paratroopas team.
The last team of "spies" who was still actually playing the game for sure was doing their to top best to try and reach one of Kamek's ears. The first would need to find a way to pass through the titanic Magikoopa hood. That was certainly not an easy task, but they used their diminutive size as an advantage, and they made it to inside successfully.
The next step out of their mission was quite easy. All that The Paratroopas had to do it was approach themselves closer enough to the gigantic advisor's eardrums to be finally able to communicate with him. But they needed to do it fast, they couldn't waste even a second given that Troopas were still shrinking and if they become too small it won't even matter anymore.
But finally, to their luck, the level was finished. At the moment, Paratroopas stood in front of the massive panel, which was Kamek's eardrums, and they started to speak all together and quite synchronously; the advisor was able to listen to a small voice coming out of nowhere.
At first, Kamek got worried, scared, and concerned for sure. But after a short moment of explanation, the elderly MagiKoopa got quite happy that the spying spell actually worked and that he was talking to an entire invisible team of Paratroopas!!! That would undoubtedly make Bowser quite delighted.
However, Kamek's happiness was short-lived as he realized all that breakthrough progress during his absence, by his intern alone and without his help, knowledge, and supervision. The old MagicKoopa was irritated, he couldn't allow his intern to get all that glory to himself alone. Certainly not.
Kamek got back to walk, and this time he was rushing to get back to his room as soon as possible. Find his prodigy intern and then talk to him about he managed to do that, and did he say to the King Koopa as well.
Poor Kamek, he had no idea that his intern made an improvision. The young Magikaapo didn't have the required skills to understand that ancient spell, maybe not even him, Kamek himself, did. The punny team of Paratroopas, or what was left out of it, fell out of their privileged location inside the advisor's ear, completely losing their opportunity to explain to him the rest of the story.
It seemed that the level was still ongoing for the tiny, slowly shrinking spy team assembled by the King Bowser. Bowser himself had no idea that that entire situation was happening. To be fair, he had already forgotten about the whole thing as he was back to sit at his throne, staring at that never-ending photo of The Princess Peach with Mario standing by her side.
To place the Cherry on top of the cake, since the intern won't know how to explain what happened to the spy team, nor would he be able to explain how did that, or to explain precisely what he did. Kamek would report back to Bowser, saying that the decoding work on the ancient spell was a success, and more team of "spies" would be detached for future missions.
