Chapter 8

Our hero prepares for battle as an army heads towards them for Richard and Rena, but the King shall have none of it and prepares his own army for war, but more mysteries await, as more answers are revealed more are asked and one on Richards mind is what happened in the digital world so long ago.

The entire city was bustling with movement as the Renamon people prepared for battle, smiths were hard at work making armour, weapons and all others sorts of metal work needed for the fighting, generals were talking strategies and soldiers were doing basic exercises.

Richard had taken to running about with the demon lords and BloodSeraphimon to deal with all manner of things, like talking with the generals and troops to making sure wards and other things were ready for such a fight. Many of the Renamon people disliked having the demon lords around but kept quiet about it, Richard although human proved worth of much trust so was greeted fairly well considering all that happened.

Rena was much better but was feeling a little alone without Richard around, her sister was doting on her quite a bit out of concern but was ignorant to the fact that she missed being around Richard.

They cared for each other so much and even though she knew he had to fight she wished Richard would be around more often.

Taomon was preparing her wards with Sakuyamon to keep Renamon safe, but even while they were all preparing for war they knew something was wrong. None of this made sense, the four digital gods of the hemispheres were known to negotiate or even make their course known but Azulongmon said nothing at all.

Richard requested runners to be sent to the others to find out what was going on but it would take some time for them to get there and back.

The best scouts were called into service, retired or not everyone needed to know if any of the digital pantheons were moving.

Lillymon and Ameila stayed with Renamon to keep her company, it felt good to have her friends around but there was always an uneasy feeling she had and it was most likely from Richard as he was always thinking about the safety of others and worried about what would happen if he failed.

It wasn't until the day before they were set out to march and 2 days after the declaration of war was made that Richard and Rena finally got some time alone together.

She took him to a beautiful garden with a creek running through it and a bridge spanning the gap. They stopped about the middle of the bridge and just stared at the stars that were in full view that night while they each wrapped an arm around another.

"What a lovely night" Rena mentioned "Yes it is, and I plan on seeing many more with you" Richard replied. They shared a loving kiss and continued to look in to the night sky all the while unaware of the Lilithmon and Bloodseraphimon watching them from a distance.

"Do you think he can truly set us back to where we belong" Lilithmon said in a dry but hopeful tone, Bloodseraphimon simply nodded and said "Yes I do, my transformation has given me the calm I never had before and while there are other Daemon none of them are the first one to be like I was."

"You do know that if he succeeds we may very well cease to exist" She told him, he simply turned around and said "I knew that from the day of our existence, the question is do the others" and he flew off. Lilithmon gave a slight smile and grunt of a laugh and followed suit.

They weren't the only ones watching Richard and Rena. Amelia and Lillymon were on the third level of the palace overlooking the garden and they too were looking up at the night sky and when Amelia noticed Richard and Rena holding each other she sighed and said out loud "I wonder if I'll ever find a man that will care for me like that?"

"I'm sure you will, just remember that your man might not be human" Lillymon said with a giggle "I know you're right but I'm still gonna get you for that one" and Amelia proceeded to chase Lillymon around the balcony.

While everyone tried to forget about what was going to happen in a far off distant corner of the digital world, in a dark castle and sitting on top of a golden throne with a pile of treasure under it was a masked wizard looking in to a magical mirror watching the digital army march towards Shadow vale and with the wave of a hand it moved towards other images until it stopped on Bloodseraphimon.

He leaned forward and looked closely almost in disbelief and said "It couldn't be" but then Bloodseraphimon looked back directly at him and said "But it is, we have found him and the balance is being restored."

The wizard leaned back and thought for a moment thinking up many plans and ideas but few would do him any good without more information, "You do realize that sooner or later we will be at your door" Bloodseraphimon said, but the wizard just gave a huff and said "No one can force me to do anything."

"He can though" the Bloodseraphimon said and he started to glow blood red showing the wizard the new found power he gotten.

The wizard just waved his hand that blurred the mirrors image and it went back to reflecting his own image, "I am Barbamon and I will rule this world and all the riches there in, no one will conquer me."

However what Barbamon didn't notice was that in the shadows was a creature that seemed to be a part of it and when it suddenly lunged at him was only when Barbamon took notice.

The creature was like a snake with four extra mouths one on each side and on its back and belly which seemed meant to prevent someone holding it, but Barbamon used magic and as soon as he saw the creature he brought up a barrier in an instant which in that same moment incinerated the creature.

That wasn't the end of it cause slowly out of the shadows came a army of shadow like creature of all sorts of shapes and sizes came out and after a massive terrible roar came out of the shadows and a arm the size of the pillars holding up the ceiling started to emerge.

Part of a large face came out of the same place as the arm that seemed to be made of black mist gave a low growl at Barbamon and all at once the creatures attacked.

Many eyes were staring here and there from all across the digital for most if not all knew that a great wheel was starting to turn and all would have to choose a side.

Richard had already taken to bed with Rena early on as he had to march off to meet the Chessmon army. Even though he was with Rena he still had great trouble sleeping, he woke at one point in the night and began to wander the castle.

He ended up in the main garden once again and stood there for awhile until he suddenly said "I know you are all there, best come out," and appearing before him were the three demon lords.

"I want to know where we stand, I'm sure you all have been checking up on things in some way or another" Richard had said to all of them. BloodSerphimon simply crossed his arms and nodded while Lilithmon brought her left arm up to her face in a sultry way and said "But of course."

"The situation is surprisingly well, the army marching towards has great numbers but is far from trained, mostly a group of champion with few ultimates and less than 10 megas not including the King and Queen Chessmon" Bloodseraphimon spoke.

"What about outside interference" Richard asked them, it was Lilithmon that filled this one "No one will interfere at least with this battle, but many are still deciding on what to do. The recent actions of Azulongmon are odd and contact seems impossible with the other three guardians in one form or another."

"So the battle seems highly in our favor, but we shouldn't let our guard down which is why I want all three of you to stay here" Richard told them.

He waved off their objections and said "It's important that you three stay behind if any things happens to the city I need you to defend it...and it is most likely that there will be another attack on the palace, if so I need you to find out all you can while fighting whatever may come."

Bloodseraphimon quickly kneeled and said "Yes, my lord" while the others just simply nodded.

Before they started to go back Richard motioned Lilithmon to come over and said "Show me your right hand" and she did so but quickly said "Don't touch it though, it kills all who do except for me."

Richard let his mind flow and the other quickly felt it too "What is he doing?" Beelzemon asked but not one of them could answer.

Richard eyes suddenly opened and he grasped lilithmons right hand firmly and started to pulled energy from it.

It wasn't until he grabbed it that he knew he was right, her right hand was one of the weapons fused into her long ago.

Lilithmon screamed but Richard wouldn't let go, he knew that once it's started he had to finish it.

His heart began to race and blood flowed, he knew what was happening to him and even he doubted he would be able to contain it without relief, still he did so until all the feelings of lust were gone from Lilithmon.

She changed and warped until her from was like that of an Ophanimon, but the hair was a long pink color and her skin dark brown. Her helmet was emblazed with the symbol of lust and she had less armour then other similar digimon with her mid-rim exposed and the armour was colored with a light pink and still had some black color as well, but most noticeably was that part of her helmet that covered her eyes was more like a visor that could be lifted up/

She breathed heavy and both Beelzemon and Blood were both shocked.

"She has been freed of her chains and is once more what she was and should have been" Richard said while still fighting off the incredible urges. However he still managed the strength to kneel and ask her "Tell me your name."

She looked up at him like he was something from heaven even from higher then the angel digimon and said to him "My name is Venusmon."

She was one of the Olympus Twelve lost long ago, none of them knew who she originally was before this moment and came as a shock to all, how it was that she came to be Lilithmon was a mystery.

Richard however had little time to think about it as his breathing became heavy and much of his blood was surging around his groan.

He nearly collapsed but was caught by Taomon who was doing a nightly patrol as was her normal routine.

"My lord what is wrong" Taomon said but Richard could barely talk as it was taking all he had just to keep the massive rush of sexual urges in check.

Venusmon looked up and said simply in a weak voice "He took all that I was before into himself, but he took too much to fast if it doesn't subside soon he could lose control or even die," and as she let out those last words she lost consciousness.

Taomon knew that she might need to do this but she was still unprepared. Being a royal bodyguard she never had time for relationships or at least that was what she kept telling herself.

"I understand, I will take him somewhere secluded make sure others know what has happened" Taomon said and without a second thought took Richard and disappeared.

Several wakened up from the roar Richard gave a moment ago started to arrive, a few guards showed up then Lillymon and Ameila, and finally Renamon with her sister in tow.

They all wanted to know what happened and who the new digimon was, but Bloodseraphimon refused to say anything other than who Venusmon was and the rest would only be told to Renamon and her friends.

The others quickly left when they caught a stare from Rena's sister for she, as gentle as she was, she was also very serious when it came to family.

Bloodseraphimon told them what happened and it was a shock to them but there was concern as to what would become of Richard.

Lillymon and Ameila spent no time and said "We will go and see what we can do to help." While it seemed like nothing more than they were going to fuck with him it was more serious in that the urges might not settle like they should, if you also combined the natural urges from being with Rena the lust could last until he died.

When they arrived back at the palace Beleezemon approached them asking what happened. Naturally Lillymon and Ameila skipped over the details but told him that the energy was going wild and even though he was better it was best that he rest for now.

Taomon brought Richard to a infirmary wing of the palace leaving him in the care of the staff there, while she went to her room that was based next to Rena's in case of an emergency.

She didn't really clean up as she was already exhausted and laid down on her bed, she however couldn't help but blush at what she just did with Richard, after all she was still a woman even when she was a warrior.

During this time there was a figure high up in the sky bathed in the moon light, she had blue and white armour and every bit seem to have a crescent moon shape to it, while she wielded a bladed weapon that was like a long pole with each end similar to a pickaxe.

Dianamon was hanging over the sky so she could gather information and find out if she and the others like her would join either side, if they joined the fighting at all. But what she saw was something that utterly shocked her, below her was Venusmon the sister that she and her brother lost long ago.

For several moments she was stunned unable to move or even think from the shock of what she just discovered. Then all at once she gained her senses back and went off at full speed to tell the others what she had just discovered, their sister was back.

Even though he was completely drained, when Richard woke up the next morning he felt better than before while the energy before nearly killed him, it was replaced by a warm feeling that seemed to boost his recovery rate by a substantial amount.

It was like being in love all over again when he first met Rena, it must have come from Venusmon.

Rena was lying beside him and woke up almost at the same time as he did, her eye glistened in the sun and for a moment it looked like she would cry as she quickly embraced him.

She pulled back for a moment and said while giving a slight smile "I knew you would be alright," then they shared a kiss together.

The noise outside disturbed their peace and when Richard went to go take a look his mind jump started and he remembered what was happening today.

All around below in the courtyard and beyond people were preparing for war, the soldiers were lining up below getting ready to march out while others seem to be reinforcing the palace and town with wards and other such things.

Richard even spotted many digimon who he assumed to be those loyal to the Renamon helping out as well.

Richard gave out a great sigh, he had forgotten all about the battle today and for a moment was just simply happy, but even if he wanted to he couldn't this would not end so easily just like most things.

Rena went by his side and hung on to his arm and for several minute they just enjoyed each other's company.

"It's amazing we went from you protecting me to me protecting you" Richard said as his mind wandered. Rena gave him a nudge and said "Well that only because I let you," they looked at one another and neither one could keep a straight face and they both laughed.

Both Rena and Richard knew that they would have to part ways soon but neither cried as after all they have been through together a little battle seemed small, and with Richards's power Rena knew he would be safe.

Rena was more worried about others but it would do her little good, under normal circumstances she would have been right on the front lines but she couldn't now.

The two of them shared a loving kiss before Richard departed from her and walked out the door saying with no worry in his voice "I'll be back soon."

Richard walked down to the kitchen first as he was hungry and couldn't go to battle on a empty stomach, as soon as he walked into the kitchen he was quickly greeted by the staff and the head chef who greeted Richard with a bellowing laugh and said "I knew you would make it."

Richard asked to get something to eat that was light but filled with plenty of nutrients and didn't have to taste great just edible.

He scoffed at what Richard said "I am not the head chef here for nothing, give me a moment and I will show you my culinary skills," and with that he started a blaze through the kitchen moving back and forth that most couldn't keep up with what he was doing and most didn't try as they were already busy with preparing a welcoming feast for those who returned from the battle field.

True enough the battle was going to take place close to where Shadow Vale was located less than half a day's march as a Renamon runs but still having such confidence was either a sign of great skill or of great foolishness Richard thought.

Either way he would do his best to end this quickly and no sooner then he thought that, the head chef showed up handing Richard what looked like a stew of sorts but only felt lukewarm, perfect for quickly eating.

"I mixed in some meat and grain for basic stomach filling and loaded the broth with a special blend of herb for proper energy, it will taste bitter but will give you what you need" he said as he handed Richard the bowl.

Richard gave it a taste and even with the bitterness it taste great and was soon scarfing it down quickly. The chef gave a hearty laugh and said "Well I guess that means you like it."

Richard had thanked the chef for the meal and quickly headed out the door and towards the courtyard to prepare for battle.

To his right as Richard went outside there was a group of Taomon and Sakuyamon who were going over a battle plan, in the middle of it all was Rena's father and brother. While normally a person would have trouble telling the difference between them a few looked different from others but in this case Richard's heightened senses let him tell who was who quickly.

"So what is the battle plan?" Richard asked as he approached the map that they placed on the table that they had all gathered around.

A battle worn general who had many scars that you could see despite his fur was the one who spoke up first "The plan will be simple and deadly, the enemy is a army quickly meshed together not used to military tactics or maneuvers and while the Kingchessmon is a brilliant tactician he simply doesn't have the force to overcome ours."

The general pointed one claw to a field with a slight incline on the map with a forested surrounding and said "We will be facing them here and let them take the high ground to think that they have the advantage, what they won't know is that while they are fighting us we will be sending our best to the sides in a pincer movement to shatter their ranks and force them to retreat."

Richard knew it was a solid and good plan but habit made him remember that things rarely went as planned "It should work but I would doubt the Kingchessmon would leave his sides or flank unguarded, most likely he will have digimon hiding in the woods, that can either blend in with the surroundings or simply vanish all together. For those going in I would caution them not to let their guard down for even a moment and there is one other thing as well" he told them all.

They all nodded in agreement that the reasoning behind Richards caution was wise but just from looking on their faces Richard could tell that they still thought there was little to worry about.

"And the other thing?" Rena's father said.

Richard took a deep breath and said "I want to capture the Kingchessmon and question him personally."

The others were slightly shocked at Richard's statement, capturing the enemy commander wouldn't be easy in this case but if they did it would be a chance to get much more information about what was going on.

"It is ambitious but if we can do so it will weaken them" one of the elder Taomon said.

There was some banter back and forth as to how this could be accomplished, in the end Richard said that he would be capable of doing so and that the rest should focus on the enemy.

As they left the palace Richard looked up to see Rena on the balcony giving a faint smile and waving good bye. He couldn't help but smile himself give a slight bow to his beloved before he left.

The army was assembled and ready just outside the city and when they arrived they all stood at attention to the group of generals and high authority that approached.

They all stood in front of the army but Richard had decided to stay at the back not wanting to draw any un-due attention.

"My loyal friends, soldiers and allies, today we march off to war against an enemy that would attack us for unprovoked and selfish reasons. We will not stand by as they march upon our lands, like it is their right, we will not stand by as they destroy our own people, we will fight them and drive them back as we have done so many times before!!" Rena's father gave a roaring speech that stirred the troops into a cheering thunder.

He motioned them to quiet down and for Richard to step up and whispered to him "Show them who you are."

Richard looked upon the army before and all of their eyes were upon him, he breathed calmly for a moment then took in a deep breath and addressed the troops "I will tell you now the reason I fight here, as no doubt many of you already know my mate who is currently with children has been threatened to death by the approaching army as well as the ones she is carrying. I ask you now what crime have I or my mate committed against any one, what reason could there be to kill unborn that have committed no crime or sin?"

Then he paused for a moment took a deep breath and let the power flow into his voice making it bellow like thunder "THERE IS NONE, how dare they think they have the right to condemn one of us to death when there has been no wrong, I will not stand by as they do such terrible things and with this spear and armour I will cut a swath through their ranks until they retreat in fear!!" and as he spoke those words his body was covered in the flames of his power to just as quickly retreat to reveal the black armour that made him look a bit like a Renamon and the spear appeared before his hands.

As Richard raised the spear high the crowd shouted even louder than before and as if to fan the flames he summoned forth his wings and let their light shine in the morning sun.

At that moment he seemed regal and powerful to all who saw him, like a god of war he promised victory for he himself would be on the front lines.

He went to the front of the column along with the few other brass who fought on the front lines, which included Rena's father and brother as well as wised general who had clearly seen many battles and two young Taomon who he didn't know.

As they marched Rena's father started a slow chant of word Richard couldn't understand but the same word were repeated over and over. Soon others joined in and soon the whole army was singing.

Richard didn't know the words but he to sung, the best he could think of was that it was a battle song of sorts meant to give meaning or empower those who were about to fight.

The whole time they sung until they came to the place that they would be fighting.

It was a large meadow with an incline going up and away from the Renamon people, but they knew this and planned for it to be so.

Richard could sense the army approaching and they would be here any moment however something else was wrong he could feel it all around him like a warning that danger was already there but couldn't be seen.

He quickly sent out his mind to touch the area around them and for a moment he didn't feel anything but then he found out what it was.

All around them were digimon hiding themselves within trees or more precisely Cherrymon.

Cherrymon are one of the few beings that can hide from a Renamon within a forest and anything in them is also hidden as well.

"We have a problem" Richard said quietly to Rena's father, he turned his head and gave a questioning hum, "We are entirely surrounded by Cherrymon but that isn't a big issue, it's the digimon inside of them that are I can't feel what power they are at and what strength they could be it's either a diversion or a trap, either way we can't ignore it."

Richard thought for a moment and came up with a dangerous but cleaver plan "I'm going to set fire the woods just before the fighting starts, have the soldiers attack the Cherrymon with as much strength as they can then move to the wood to continue the plan we discussed."

Rena's father simply nodded and whispered to the ones next to him and they did the same until everyone knew the plan or at least that is what Richard hoped for, which was good because just cresting over the hill was the enemy digital army.

There group was larger than earlier believed but not hugely so, the main concern was the amount of mega class digimon they had with them.

Some were quite formidable, a Hiandromon, a Boltmon, a Eaglemon and a GranKuwagamon, all of which would be hard to deal with for they were all strong in one form or another.

Hiandromon had a huge multitude of abilities and fire power to adapt to any situation, Boltmon was like Hiandromon only with massively more strength and toughness, Eaglemon had the greatest defense being completely covered in Gold chrome digizoid, and GranKuwagamon who's ability to slice through space would wreak havoc on the Renamon defenses.

"Stand down we have done nothing wrong to warrant this battle" Richard proclaimed, but only an image of the Kingchessmon appeared before him and said this "We are under order from Azulongmon we will not stop until you and the one you protect are destroyed."

Richard smiled and said "Wrong answer....NOW!!" and with a quick motion he leapt up into the air and hovered only about 6 feet from the ground and all the others ducked low and with a mighty sweep of the spear a mighty flame spewed out and set fire to the surrounding forest on all different sides.

The Kingchessmon was stunned but soon yelled out for the others to attack and the battle started.

There was fighting everywhere and screaming a plenty but Richard couldn't worry about that for he had problems of his own for the four digimon he had seen before were all set upon him.

It made sense and the plan was solid for them, keep the most powerful distracted unable to help the rest of the army.

Richard fended off one attack after another and countered with his own but it wasn't getting him anywhere, these digimon were using their best strengths to help each other, Hiandromon was attacking with ranged abilities while Boltmon used his axe and strength to attack in close range, Grankuwagamon would charge his attack while Eaglemon would protect them all from Richards more powerful abilities.

Richards best bet was to attack at the same time Grankuwagamon would launch his, Richard could counter with a void attack and hopefully end it with a quick strike before Eaglemon could interfere.

Richard charged his strength into the spear he held and waited for the others to think he was weak enough to kill.

They got a few hits in then, from behind him Grankuwagmon launch his attack.

He took all his strength and launched the spear. When the two forces collided the shock wave sent some other digimon flying back while the energy that lashed out killed several others including Richards own.

But now wasn't the time to worry as soon as he saw the break he rushed in, he could feel the pressure that was surrounding him as he passed through the impact point but he pressed on until he came face to face with the insect.

He threw his hand into its mouth and said "I'm sorry" and let forth a flame that scorched him from the inside out and soon was digitized.

Boltmon was reckless and didn't head the others warning all he saw was an opening.

He thought now that Richard lost his weapon he was vulnerable but that wasn't the case as the weapon had become a part of him now and just as quickly he summoned it back.

Boltmon's main weakness was the back of his neck where he had the least protection and least muscle.

Boltmon brought him axe down but Richard evaded and with a few swift turns brought his own weapon down on Boltmon and the spear went straight threw his neck.

For a moment he didn't know what happened until he lost all feeling in his body and dropped his axe and soon his body fell as well.

Boltmon's body disappeared before it hit the ground and that was when things started to get interesting.

Neither Eaglemon nor Hiandromon attacked rather they starred past Richard to the horizon like something was coming and it was.

Just off in the distance was a group of digimon heading their way but that wasn't all below there was a commotion and the opposing army started to retreat quickly.

It made no sense until Richard started to see what was happening

In the air coming at a blazing speed was Dianamon, Marsmon, Minervamon, and Apollomon.

There were four of the Olympus twelve and it meant trouble if they were going to fight, but that wasn't all below there was a group of Knight, beast-man, holy beast, and other such digimon that started emerge out of the forest in mass and started to attack, but not the Renamon but the other digimon.

There was a huge Leo like digimon down there that was in the middle of the fray as well as a MagnaAngemon directing the fighting.

It was good to see help but how long would it last and that didn't mean the four coming directly from the sky were friendly.

He had forgotten about his enemies for a moment but that was all they needed, in a blink Eaglemon got up behind Richard and held on to his arms and legs.

Richard struggled but Eaglemon held on tight and that is when he noticed something in front of him. Queenchessmon a powerful mega class digimon was coming in at full speed with her hammer raised to bring it down upon him.

He couldn't move and no one would be able to get to him in time so he was forced to use one of his more powerful abilities and one he didn't want to use unless necessary.

He let the light die out and brought forth black flames as dark as the void and in a moment let loose.

The flames went out in all directions killing Queenchessmon and Eaglemon in a torrent of dark flame.

This cause much of what was left of the fighting to cease and both sides retreated to stay far away from such overwhelming darkness.

In the end Richard stood alive but used up most of his energy for that sudden blast, so he drifted down to the ground and nearly fell back.

He quickly stood straight however because five digimon had appeared before him.

Dianamon, Marsmon, Minervamon, Apollomon and the digimon that looked like a giant and fearsome Leomon all stood in front of him.

He didn't think the lion would attack as he had the chance before but that didn't mean any of them didn't have alterior motives.

"Why have you come?" Richard proclaimed as once again a standoff seem to be happening. Behind Richard the Renamon army was gathering and behind the five digimon was the army that suddenly appeared in the battle.

"We have come to talk" Dianamon said in a cool voice.

"Tell me first have any of you come to hurt me, my family or my mate?" Richard asked them.

He looked at each of them and each of them said no except for the lion who said in a proclaiming type voice "I would never do such an evil and cowardly act."

"And your names?" Richard said plainly, they each said their names with Apollomon acting impatient like he was waiting for something.

The lion thumped his fist to his chest and said "I am Regulumon a champion of justice."

"Good" Richard had said just before he collapsed.

He fell to the ground with a thump, exhausted from the fight while others just stared like they didn't know what happened or just couldn't believe it.

Rena's father who had been nearby quickly went over to check on him and gave a sigh of relief after finding that Richard was ok.

There was a stare off between him and the four olympion digimon, he was unsure about them or rather what they wanted, but that all passed when he finally noticed who was standing next to them.

Regulumon was right there with them Rena's father couldn't help but let out an laugh while rushing over to him and clasping hands with him.

"My old friend it has been far, far too long why in the world are you here" Rena's father said to his apparent old friend.

"Teo, I heard you were in trouble and I had to help. Me and my band rushed as soon as possible but we gathered some followers as well that wished to see justice done" Regulumon claimed with pride.

After they exchanged a few more pleasantries Regulumon looked down on the unconscious Richard and said "So this is the famous human that has made such a stir in the two worlds, I must say his power is most impressive but also very terrible."

Teo nodded and said "I will tell you what I know and suspect but the only one who could tell you what is going on is him," Teo had pointed a finger to Richard then looked at the Olympion four that stood before him. He once again turned back to Regulumon and said "If you can vouch for them then I will let them join us but other than that I will not permit it."

Apollomon who has a short temper gave a huff and said "Do you think you could stop us."

With those words every Renamon type digimon went into a battle formation surrounding the Olympions, Apollomon and Marsmon were taken back for a moment at the quickness of those who stood before them, but Minervamon just smiled saying to Apollomon "If you ever bothered to study or read a book you might know that the Renamon army are highly disciplined and skilled."

"I can still take them on" Apollomon said while looking like he was about ready to fight, until Dianamon who had kept he eyes shut for the most part like she was meditating or thinking about something suddenly opened them and said "Quite, both of you" and with those word Apollomon stopped and Minervamon still kept the same composure.

"They might be a little odd but Dianamon keeps the rest in line for the most part, but yes they mean no harm" Regulumon said.

"Very well" Teo said and he motioned over the generals and asked them "Have we captured Kingchessmon."

One of the generals spoke up and said "No, he ran away very quickly after seeing what happened to Queenchessmon, there are few digimon that could catch that one right now."

"Like me" a voice suddenly said beside them, they all turned quickly to see Merukimon the fastest digimon in existence standing before them and in his gigantic hand was Kingchessmon beaten but still conscious.

"We guessed that Kingchessmon would have information that we all might need so we too made plans to capture him" Dianamon said calmly.

"Excellent then we should all head to the palace quickly before..." Teo was saying until a messenger appeared before him and said "Sire, I have an urgent message for you from the palace" and she handed Teo a sealed scroll. He opened it up and after reading it suddenly burst in to a big smile and yelled "Everyone back to the palace double time, make sure all the wounded are taken care of".

He grabbed Richard and lifting him over his shoulders went off like a bullet. The others caught up and asked what was going on, wondering if something was wrong, he just shook his head no and said "Nothing at all is wrong but something wonderful."

Rena had taken to wandering the garden while waiting for the others to return, she was a warrior as well as an trainer's digimon but some time ago it became much more than that.

Her family were dead set against her going to the human world as it was very dangerous and she was about to come into heat sometime soon and at least they could control the latter at home.

She didn't care however, she had for awhile now had an urge to go to the human world and find her trainer. It wasn't uncommon for digimon to feel such a thing but it was unusually strong in her.

She was never lost something kept telling her were to go until she at last saw him fighting a digimon below a black spire.

He was buying time for the Gorillamon to charge its weapon and destroy the spire but he had suffered a horrible injury before it was destroyed and it seemed like he was going to be killed by the debris that was falling towards him.

Rena couldn't bear to see it and rushed to his rescue. From the moment she pick Richard up and carried him to safety she knew he was the one.

Over the next little while she watched him from a distance and at one point even risked to give him the digi-vice that had appeared before her at the time she rescued him.

Even after Richard had gone home she continued to fallow him, for some reason she was unable to talk to him, thinking that it would be too much if he rejected her.

In a moment like this she let her guard down and was ambushed, the first attack weekend her enough so that she couldn't escape easily and after a few moments of fighting it looked like she might be coded. But like what she did for him Richard appeared out of nowhere and stopped the fight by attacking the trainer.

She was unconscious at this point but when she woke up she found herself in a small room and laying on the floor beside her covered in her blood was Richard soundly asleep, her heart began to race fast and it was at this point even though she didn't know it that she had fallen in love.

Rena blushed from remembering those times, they were happier days and more peaceful but it all came crashing down afterward but even then Richard and Rena never lost each other and that alone made her happy.

For a moment she started to feel feint and nearly collapsed. Taomon who had been keeping a close eye on her suddenly appeared before her ready to catch her and said "Are you all right."

Rena nodded and smiled as she said "The children are coming."

Taomon was stunned for a moment and then quickly picked Rena up and brought her to the infirmary. The medics there were already set up for the injured and quickly called Sakuyamon and told Taomon to take Rena up stairs to her bedchamber.

She did as she was told and met not only Sakuyamon there but also Rena's mother and Venusmon who had quickly recovered and was ready to help as well.

Guards were posted outside the doors, not a single person was to be let in while Rena was giving birth.

Rena's mother had also sent a messenger to send word to the army now on the battlefield to notify Richard and the others of what was happening.

Taomon could have stayed inside but she thought she would just be in the way, she was much better suited as a guard so she waited outside but couldn't stay still and started to pace back and forth.

Ameila and Lillymon hurried to the palace as soon as they heard the news, they were shopping in the market when the rumor came about in such a rush that no one kept their voices down and they overheard it.

They dropped everything that they were doing and ran as quickly as possible back to the palace.

When they got there they saw Taomon pacing outside the door and asked her what was happening, was Rena ok and so on and so forth.

"She is fine for now, Sakuyamon, Venusmon and my lady's mother are in there with her so it should...no it will be fine, but it is best to wait out here for now" Taomon told them.

Lillymon wanted to go in to support her friend but she knew that it would be useless to try and force herself past the guards and she didn't want any trouble especially now.

Everyone paced back and forth waiting, all they could hear were the grunts and moans of Rena in the room with a few word from the three that were in there with her.

For the most part it seemed that Rena was having an easier time of it, of course digimon birth in general are somewhat rare as the total amount of digimon never seems to change, it is theorized that if a digimon is deleted and not reborn as a digi-egg a digimon is born from birth but it is not as painful as human births.

When a digimon does give birth it is born as a small egg then not long afterwards becomes a larger version like a normal digi-egg.

Also the digimon born this way is generally different as they are normally born in a rookie form but still a baby.

Everyone continued to wait until a sudden noise from outside caught their attention and coming into the courtyard was the head commanders of the army, including several other that they didn't know.

Like a light rushing through the stair's and into the hallway Richard came like a mad man.

He had gain consciousness on the way back and as soon as he heard he ran with what strength he had.

By the time he got to the floor he was about to ask how Rena was but was stopped when Venusmon came out the door and said "Everything went beautifully" and monition for Richard to come in.

He was stunned for a moment unable to move and then he started to slowly take steps forward and after a moment he entered the room.

Rena was breathing heavy and exhausted, it wasn't from pain but more from having energy taken from her into the digi-eggs while birthing them.

Laying on the bed and surrounding her was six digi-eggs, two had yellow diagonal slashes across them, two had red flame design's all over the shells and two had the same design as the yellow ones but the lines were more like lines of flame.

Richard walked over and knelt beside Rena holding her hand, she turned towards him saying with a smile "Say hello to your children."

He held each one and said hello to each and every one of them.

He went and laid beside Rena holding her and their children close and even though he knew that the fighting wouldn't stop he also knew that at that time he was incredibly happy, Rena and the children had safe births and for a time nothing would ruin this moment.

They nearly fell asleep until Lillymon, Ameila, and several others including Rena's little sister came in congratulating and asking all sort of question including what they were going to name them.

Rena and Richard looked at each other not having a clue as they had never talked about it and looked to each other for an answer.

They both laughed at themselves and Richard said "We haven't given it any thought but I guess we will know what their names are when they hatch."

The congratulations continued to come and the future seemed a little brighter, new allies, new friends and new life.
