Risen Town Fair! Chapt. 2

Tyler smiled and with a casual nod he took her arm and escorted her through the maze of cars, to the entrance of the midway, where a clown welcomed them in to join the fun. You could hear the differnt carnival music come from each of the rides mixed with screams of excitement from the people riding them. Bright lights wizzed by making colorful blurs in the air it seemed.
"This is amazing, look at all the people here!" Vesper exclaimed quietly, a slight smile pulling at her lips. she smiled at a few of her friends, and rolled her eyes at their "Oh my gawd who is THAT" expressions. She pulled her New friend Tyler over to the ticket stand and bought one of those unlimited rides pass and waited patiently to the side fiddling with her band as he bought his.Becoming rather fusterated trying to get the band on, she turned to Tyler with a cheesey smile..."I'm sorta having a fight withthe band..and mm.. it's winning. Help?..please?"
Tyler grinned chuckling to himself as he wrapped the neon green band arounf her wrist peeling the paper that covered the sticky tab off, and secured her band. "There we go, haha"
"Heh, thanks. So where to first, there's the bumper cars, the spinning dragon ride..Umm Ohh the Ferris Wheel!!!" Vesper would jump up pointing to the Ferris Wheel, grabbing his hand she lead him over to it. "This is gunna be...oh my.. that my friend is a looong ass line. "

The day went by pretty much the same, Vesper was filled with excitment of the Midway, and tyler enjoyed watching her be happy. It was pretty comfrotable between the new friends, no akward silences, continuous laughter and joking. It looked to be a great begining of a very close friendship. The Midway didn't filter out till about 6:30 when it became supper time and everyone head to the Carni' food stands just out side of the Midway near the park. And the lines to the rides began to dissapear. Vesper and Tyler bought some food and took a seat under an old Oak tree that was right along the sandy shoreline of the town's lake. coversation just flowing between eachother.
" Okay, so you were born in Missouri and your parents gave you up for adoption? That must have been tough." Vesper said as she yawned leaning againts the tree.
" Ehh not all that bad, I mean bouncing around all over the country is actually pretty cool." Tyler answered as he took a sip of his soda, looking out over the blue water of the lake. " I've been a lot of places. California. New York. Washington. Colorado. Even Hawaii."
" That's like amazing.. Have your parents, ever tried to make any contact with you at all since you have been old enough to understand?" She took the time that he was looking away to study him with her eyes as they drifted over him.
" Um.. yeah. My real father called me one day right before my birthday to tell me that my mother had killed herself. He told me it was becaseu of me, and that if I hadn't been born she wouldn't have had to give me up." He continued to look away even after wincing at the images of the photographs his father sent.
"I...I'm so sorry.." She bit her lip as she swallowed thelump that had rose to her throat. She reached across the small gap of space between them and laid her hand gently on his arm and gave it a gentle squeeze..Drawing his attention back to her. " A few months back..just before summer... I lost my dad. No tragic story, just a bad car accident. Mom still is trying to get over it..Me andmy dad didn't really have a good relationship." She sighed , " But I do know what it is like to lose a parent." She looked away, shifting her body so that she was leaning more against the tree.
"You never let it down do you?" he said turning back away he could sense that she looked back over at him. "You have this wall, and all day it's been up and when I think you start to let it down.. you just automatically raise it again."
" Look, I just don't want to get hurt. I have lived with abusive parents my whole life. I have to live in compliance to everything that my witch of a mother commands, because if I don't.. my whole world falls apart. So I built up this system of not letting anyone in.. no one at all." She tugged at her sleevs as a shiver ran down her back.
" Look, Vesper. I am sorry. It's just there are so many people out there in this world. and I just happen to run in to you.. You are intelligent and outgoing."
Vesper would close her eyes listening to his voice. lolling to sleep slowly.
"You wanna know something Vesp Out of all the places I have been to in 18 years of my life, this one is my favorite. You wanna know why?" He would turn to look at her.. ad sigh warmly as he saw her sleep form.." Because of you" he would whisper quietly, leaning down to press a kiss to her cheek. then returning his gaze to the water to watch as the sky began to grow darker and the fire works lit up the sky.
